It will be forgotten. Rwby lost most of its audience by its 5th season, RT in decline for years before finally being executed by WB.
Jaune should become a supporting character in Jessica Cruz’s comics, like he just crossovers from rwby to DC and stays.

If DC get interested, sure. But, they don't do anything with Jessica lately, I doubt Jaune would be relevant enough to migrate to the comics.

It got included in a Fighting game. That's all I care about.
The CG was never very comparable to its contemporaryies but it has aged particularly badly. And not in a charming nostalgic way.
