She looks entirely out of place and her nog face can’t act for shit. Not like her name is a draw either. Way to ruin your own movie in the casting stage.
why does Nosferatu looks so goofy in this one? Why does she look like a modern cheap prostitute.
Eggersbros I thought this was supposed to be the moment we've been waiting for years.
Everyone knows that the notion that vampires can be killed by the sunlight became common in movies and later fiction just because of the original Mornau's movie, but it was a misinterpretation; in some legends vampires can be exorcised by the song of a rooster, and in the movie you can see a rooster outside Mina's house, obviously you can't ear it sing because the movie is mute, and adding a "wieneradoodledooo" card would have been comedical.
Im really dissapointed they are going to remake Nosferatu when the Dracula novel still hasnt been adapted properly. Coppolas version was close but had a high campness level. Every Dracula film atkes aspects of the novel but not the full novel itself. Nosferatu is a very simplified version with loads of omissions.
Thats a misnomer. The novel is highly filmic because the letters are very visually descriptive. The whole letter writing business isnt necessary when translating to film.
yeah, it doesnt kill dracula in the novel. i guess some misinterpretations become so entrenched that its hard to do something diffrent because audience wont accept it. seeing the creature slinking about during daytime would could be made to be creepy. isnt he around during daytime hours in the original nosferatu? when hes packing his coffin?

Yeah. That scene is shot in daylight just to show that Orlock could walk during the day; even with the equipment of that time it wouldn't have been too difficult to shot it at night.
I read the book recently and it doesn't serve to be made into a movie unless you like watching people book onto hotels, write letters, drink tea and generally be vague while Dracula rarely appears.
You dont have to always have people relate what they saw in a movie. You could do it all directly. All the vagueness and creepy encounters add up in my opinion whereas Coppola blows his load early. I mean Mina witnesses Lucy being violated by a werewolf in the movie, you'd think that would be the end of it.
The creepiest scene for me in the book is on the Demeter when they see Dracula walking past them at night. There's already a movie of that coming out but I doubt they will be able to capture the eerieness.
It's how they describe sailing through fog at night and seeing a tall man just walking past them as if they aren't there. I don't know how it would translate to the screen but it gave me a great mental image while reading it.
the image that sticks out in my head is Mina on the cliff path at night seeing lucy on a bench in the distance as Dracula bends over her. dracula then looks at her with animal red eyes in the middle of a phantom like figure.
That's a great scene too and it's in the movie as the wolf scene ut I do feel it worked better in the book. I've seen the bench and setting that it's based on in real life so to create that in my head gave it another level.
Aww dumb zoom zoom, every hot white girl is put through the israeli humiliation very early in their career. Get ready to keep seeing her for the next 10 years
how the frick does eggers hope to compete with two established masterpieces about the same character? his directing style is still in its infancy and relies on too much stylism. i expect with time though he'll come into his own like PTA did with punch drunk love, but right now he's too early to be trying to compete with the all-time greats.
>big reveal for a Dracula movie >my favorite chapter from the book >half the fricking trailer is just jerking off some oc diversity hire
I wouldn't even mind black sailors but god damn >he's an oxford supergenius doctor and everyone likes him and hes all brave and heroic and all the women flirt with him and-
Did you really need to take up trailer space for this? Guess its a good heads up not to watch it at least
Lily's career can't last. It's all nepo castings but she lacks the body and face for acting (lack of talent, of course, is a given) which will just result in unanimous panning. She needs to just go stick to nepo modeling where she doesn't have to speak.
johnny depp has a daughter? and she acts in movies?
i read the script. she is going to be knotted by a werewolf
I will now watch your movie.

>nog face
come on now
She's such a terrible fricking actress. I don't even care about Eggers but she is going to wreck this film.

>Are you Bertram Tung?
>The one and only.
BTW, "Tung" is an asian surname; did he was chinese or something?
Probably, they present the Nossie curse as eliminating all evidence of race
In fact the playable nossie was a black man before the embrace.
HAHA WHAT IF HER NAME WAS DUMB b***hELLA DEPP HAHAHA

Savage mogging
She better give the performance of the century for people to forget about the abomination that was The Idol.

It's anti-filmic, unless you adapt it as a found-footage movie.

The Coppola version is superior to the book.
I am a phone poster, please forgive my mistakes which give the appearance of drunken rambling.

what's creepy about it

Only the first part of the book is good.
>it's a real poster
what the frick? why does it look so shit, Eggers posters are usually kino
it's not real
>it's a real poster
It's really not. 2 minutes in Google would've told you that, moron.

it simply can't compete with this

I dont really have much faith in eggers after the blandness of the Northman.
The Northman wasn't one of his "real" movies. Skarsgård begged him to make it and he just rolled with it.
>Skarsgård
It aint like skarsgard is the de niro of his generation. why would he listen to him?
He kinda liked the idea and used it to make his own Conan. It still wasn't his idea.
I once got a blowjob from a vampire. Long story short; it sucked.
>Nosferatu is a metaphor for the corona virus and people will be made to stay inside and the vamp will starve to death because it cant get fresh blood

ahh frick I guess I mentally mixed up the vampire movies
>lets remake another movie which is already a rip off of someone elses story because i cant come up with any good ideas of my own
Robert Eggers is a hack
