Your manic anger is strange and misdirected. Of course another Spider-Man villain movie that doesn't have Spider-Man in it is going to flop, you moron. Venom only got a sequel because normies love Venom.

It's honestly baffling to me that studios are still clinging to the moronic notion that ratings actually matter even after the wild success of films like Deadpool and Joker. Parents don't give a shit about ratings, at least not enough to affect profits in any meaningful way, that's why the majority of people playing Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty are moronic children.

Executives love playing by their arbitrary rules.

Hell, ratings were a lot more lax back in the 70s and 80s, right? We should just revert back to those standards.

Why do they keep changing the characters so much, one thing is trying to make them sympathetic, but completly changing the story and making a villian similar to the original comic is just dumb.

Yeah, but they don't seem to be leaning toward the whole native american "keep the world balanced and respect nature" shtick, more like the "im a VEEEGAAAHN and I work with PEEEETAH" shtick.

Yeah this shit is dumb as frick. I was honestly hoping it was going to be nuanced and have Kraven be in support of nature and conservation all so he could hunt the prime beasts in their prime environment, and then show respect and love to a fallen foe. Before the vegan shit dropped I was even thinking that was what they were going to do. That would have been fine even cool, but nah they made him a basedboy homosexual vegan. Who is this even for?

I don't know about this, a Kraven movie has the potential to lead to something really dangerous. Thousands of alienated young suicidal Russian noblemen with voodoo priestess girlfriends and shapeshifitng brothers are going to see themselves reflected in Sergei and attempt to imitate him. There are going to be mass burials of Spider-Man alive. Theaters are banning fur vests and porn staches, and some refuse to show the movie altogether. Vermin the Rat-Man is preparing to stand by at theaters near military bases. This is a risk we cannot afford to take, no matter how many standing ovations the film receives.

Why are they making all of Spidermans rogues something of anti-heros? I thought Sony had plans to have Garfield or someone be their universes Spidey eventually? So will he be the bad guy in this world? If Venom, morbius and kraven are more or less good guys in their movies, then where the frick are they going? The answer is they don't fricking know right? They have these characters and just decide to make them good guys cuz maybe they won't be able to have a Sony Spiderman?

Anon, they actually thought people mocking them was genuine engagement and hype for Morbius, and then paid more money to keep it in theaters for that reason.

Seriously at this point I don’t see any reason why Disney shouldn’t just bite the bullet and pay Sony to give Spider-Man back. All Amy Pascal is doing is creating money laundering scams as they attempt to trick people into thinking their diarrhea is MCU related. Not even Andrew Garfield is willing to come back to be their Peter again despite a sudden swell of appreciation for his movies because he knows it’s pig slop and isn’t willing to be their fall guy twice. I guarantee you they’re re-writing the movie as we speak to be the meme on purpose that Morbius was by accident because they’re that up their own asses they think it will give them the publicity they want.
