>In text messages between Jonathan Majors and accuser Grace Jabbari, the Marvel actor appears to admit to physical violence against his now-ex—six months before Majors was arrested in March and charged with assault in a separate domestic violence case.
>“I fear you have no perspective of what could happen if you go to the hospital” Majors, 34, texted Jabbari, 30, in September 2022. “They will ask you questions, and as I don’t think you actually protect us, it could lead to an investigation even if you do lie, and they suspect something”
>“I will tell the doctor I bumped my head” Jabbari cried as she read aloud the message in court.
>Then unable to continue through her tears, Assistant District Attorney Kelli Galaway took over:“I will tell the doctor I bumped my head if I go. I’m going to give it one more day, but I can’t sleep and I need some stronger pain killers. That’s all: why would I tell them what really happened when it’s clear I want to be with you?"
>“Last night I considered killing myself versus coming home” Majors wrote to Jabbari, adding:“I need love too. Or maybe I’m such a monster and horrible man, I don't deserve it. And I should just kill myself. In this way, my existence is miserable, I want to die”
>Jabbari—who in court was turned in the direction of the projected text messages—had responded: “I will not go to the doctor if you don’t feel safe with me doing so, or don’t trust me to. I promise you I would never mention you but understand your fear”
>Telling her that she could not reject his love and admonishing her for not hugging him after the alleged fight, Majors noted by text:“I will probably kill myself, it’s not really contemplating anymore” He added: “I’m a monster, a horrible man, not capable of love. I’m killing myself soon”
>“Jonathan, you can't say this I’m going to have to tell someone,” Jabbari responded by text, noting her perceived error in not hugging him
>I will probably kill myself, it’s not really contemplating anymore
>I’m a monster, a horrible man, not capable of love. I’m killing myself soon
what a manipulative, zesty moron
Love scares me
If this is what love is like, there is nothing I missed out on.
Like, shit, Black person, have some dignity. This boo-hoo woe is me act is just so sappy and melodramatic.
It's not dude is cheating, wouldn't let his gf see his phone becasue man is said cheater, then beats her ass when she's upset, then gaslights her to not tell because he's a woman beating pos, then threatens to kill himself because he's valid and pussyfoot. It's not love b***h likes him because he has a lot of cash, that's why she'll take a beating and still Stockhome syndromed
Vapid*
That's not love you dumb fricking turds.
Another victim of the israelite faking a crime he never did
I knew something was dangerously off about this dude when he kept bringing that small cup everywhere so people would ask him about it.
How about that photoshoot where he directly referenced Doflamingo
>he kept bringing that small cup everywhere so people would ask him about it.
Oh anon! That was simply his way of mugging to the camera!
what cup
He's a GREAT MAN.
I blame her for staying with him.
These texts had been ruled inadmissible except that Majors' own lawyer opened up the line of questioning as to why Jabbari didn't immediately tell the cops she'd been assaulted. Massive own goal by the defense.
>inadmissible
The standards on this feel so fricking arbitrary. I've read about a lot of cases where it literally makes or breaks either the defense or prosecution, and often happens to objective facts, like a rape kit match or clear video footage.
I understand why the defense wanted the texts squashed, and the why the prosecution got to use them anyway after the defense referenced them in court, but not why the defense was successful in the first place in getting them ruled inadmissible when they seem so clearly and obviously relevant.
>as to why Jabbari didn't immediately tell the cops she'd been assaulted
I mean...the texts where he's threatening her, telling her it would ruin him, where she's saying she won't fess up because she wants to still be with him, and he's saying he'll kill himself if she makes him feel any worse about it, would kinda make that obvious. But such is American Kangaroo Court.
free my zesty Black
“I need love too. Or maybe I’m such a monster and horrible man, I don't deserve it. And I should just kill myself. In this way, my existence is miserable, I want to die"
He's just like me frfr but my suffering comes not from a desire to hit woman but of watching e-girl porn
Also that's how I felt but I never suicide-baited my ex so that she could be with me. I fricked up hurting her tremendously, asked her to still be with me, for half a day she said yes then she said get out and I did. None of that please don't tell anyone or I'll kill myself crap
Bro let his pussy ass kill himself then
Gaslighting fake ass
>>“Last night I considered killing myself versus coming home” Majors wrote to Jabbari, adding:“I need love too. Or maybe I’m such a monster and horrible man, I don't deserve it. And I should just kill myself. In this way, my existence is miserable, I want to die”
And people thought that those first texts were bad
not sure if the woman is being a moron or is also a manipulative butthole trying to leech his actor bux
>“I fear you have no perspective of what could happen if you go to the hospital”
That's actually some supervillain shit right there
i dont understand. someone explain
He sacrificed himself (and his ex) to stop the MCU, what a hero
It's a shame because Kang was such a super interesting villain and the key to the entire future of the MCU
No he wasn't.
I kind of really want it to just be over.
I hope the MCU fully crashes and burns so they can be more creative with superheroes again. I want Daredevil netflix tier stuff again
Daredevil was lightning in the bottle. The only lesson Netflix learned from it is to make cookie-cutter soulless edgy sludge rather than cookie-cooter soulless quipshit sludge instead of trying to experiment.
MCU has always been completely soulless.
*cutter
>muwhahaha i hate everything
fascinating opinion moron, be sure to tell nerdrotic about it
>fanboy seething when his precious garbage gets called out
Oh boy, I sure love Daredevil but black. Or Daredevil but for wine aunts: Bendis garbage edition. Or Daredevil but shitty action scenes. Or Daredevil: Avengers but somehow shittier.
No, you're not allowed to point out that they could've done a distinct Heroes for Hire series that could stand out on its own and have much more memorable characterizations for Luke Cage or Iron Fist (perhaps maybe even to the point of not ruining Danny's perception among normies in the first place same way Superfriends did Aquaman, imagine) instead of just being a Daredevil clone, just consume your samey slop and don't ask questions. It's all flawless and you're not allowed to not like it.
i don't like the non-daredevil defenders series. you sperged out for no reason.
Ironic, considering Daredevil was the one series I didn't shit on (even praised it as one actually good series) yet you sperged out accusing me of "hating everything".
you literally said the mcu was never good, that's what i was criticizing.
It's true, though, you homosexual.
They get like few decentish movies like The Winter Soldier or Iron Man 1 and the rest is samey slop. Take off your fanboy goggles.
>They get like few decentish movies like The Winter Soldier or Iron Man 1
you mean good movies, not just "decent"? typing like this still makes you sound like a contrarian moron.
No, I just have standards unlike your average capeshitter.
>contrarian
Ah, the MCUhomosexual subhuman cope buzzword.
Based. They hated you because you told the truth. The MCU was, at best, mid with a bombastic flair and some big stage presences hoisting up a whatever-plot. Remember when people mocked superhero movies for making the villain shoot a beam of light into the sky for various reasons?
And I say this as someone who enjoyed Dr. Strange and Thor better on rewatches. It's not that they're good. It's not even that they're among the the MCU has to offer. It's just, if I squint I can see the outline of a fantasy movie that COULD have been good if they didn't insert goddamn quips and excessive subplots into it.
>perhaps maybe even to the point of not ruining Danny's perception
This was caused by the Perlmutter vs Feige conflict. Perlmutter wanted to shit out as much stuff as possible while the sun was shining and this stuff was not under the Marvel Studios control but Marvel Entertainment - Marvel Television. Iron Fist was at a time when this stuff was winding back and they were on an incredibly tight schedule and the belief was it would be a Netflix movie rather than a series. The actor who played Iron Fist was given no preparation, hence why the choreography in the first season was so bad.
People like to shit on most of Marvel pre-MCU, but at least they tried to do their own thing with it.
I just want another show as excellent as Agents of SHIELD. Shame with Feige and likeminded dolts micromanaging shit that likely won't happen
They actively said it isn't canon anymore, but that show had more than most of the modern MCU and it's sad it's being erased like this.
>Daredevil netflix tier stuff
only the first season is good
The first season is Fantastic, the rest was merely good.
>I hope the MCU fully crashes and burns so they can be more creative with superheroes again.
Disney still owns them so probably never
anon, if it crashes and burns people will just blame the genre and stop making superhero things at all.
We can only hope.
>beat b***h
>“waaaaah noo please don’t go to the hospital even if you lie they’ll know it was me”
>“actually I wanna kill myself i’m such a horrible man that’s why I’m telling you if you go to the hospital they’ll find out and i’ll hate myself so much that I’ll kill myself, seriously, and it’ll be your fault”
Are all lunchtime rowdies this pathetic?
That's just normal abuser stuff
They always do shit like that
It's boilerplate, he's not even bringing a weird spin on it like smelling her breath every time she comes home to make sure she didn't suck dick.
He's not really crying about killing himself, anon. It's abuse tactics. He's milking sympathy from her so she's the one who feels guilty instead, and to ensure she doesn't actually go to the doctor because she thinks he'll kill himself as a result.
Don't fall for dumb shit that's meant for cheap hoes. He's literally a professional actor. Her reaction is exactly what he's baiting out of her, and the assurance that she'd rather suffer in agonizing head trauma than risk losing him.
based
use f*moid tactics against them, see how they like it for a change
>lunchtime rowdies
That's a new one to me
What's happening to Disney feels satisfyingly karmic, but the MCU failing is strictly a quality and political messaging issue. This is a coincidence. I don't think most people care about celebrity scandal, unless Disney keeps him on after he's found guilty. Likewise, I don't think people would care if an actor is replaced. We're not exactly talking about Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones here.
The vast majority of people don't care, but Disney/Marvel certainly does:
>Kang was meant to be the lynchpin of the Multiverse Saga, with Majors showing up in a bunch of films
>they've already established that all of Kang's variants look like Majors (though this is easily fixed since this rule on variants is obviously pretty loose)
>even if Majors is found not guilty, this trial and the associated publicity will have tangled him up for a while, delaying any filming he could possibly do
>when Quantumania bombed, one of the few things people were saying was good in it was Majors's performance as Kang -- but if he's found guilty then they can't promote a film with a convicted domestic abuser in a key role (same goes for Loki S2)
But I think the main point is that not only do most people not care about Johnathan Majors, the vast majority do not care about Kang. They absolutely whiffed his introduction in the MCU.
>They absolutely whiffed his introduction in the MCU.
Regardless of Majors and all the bullshit that comes with the territory, you want your villain to actually feel like a threat? Don't ever have him lose before the end of your story. At least not in such a major (pun not intended) way. No one would've taken Thanos seriously as a multi-movie antagonist either if he kept getting his ass kicked since The Avengers instead of Loki.
All this talk of him killing countless Avengers is literally "tell don't show" when what we do see is him jobbing in his introduction.
This. They doomed their next big dick supervillain the moment they wanted to have their epic multiversal cake, and eat it with their family-friendly, le funny quip movie fork too. The MCU needs to think less like bean counters ticking checkboxes, and more like a stage director-hell, a fricking SCHOOL drama club kid-when it comes to a basic conceit of storytelling: You can't build up a character's dramatic weight if that character gets punked by fricking ANTS in his debut. And having a gorillion of him doesn't make him more impressive, it makes him more expendable and diminishes the audience's investment in him as a specific character if you have a free license to rewrite his motivation.
Honestly I'd prefer Dormammu as the next big cosmic threat.
Being defeated by insects is fine, what isn't is getting your shit pushed in by the joke character, which the director doubled down on making an absolute joke, for your introduction.
heck insects at least have the threat of billions of disposable bodies to throw
I'd argue the ants count as being symbolic of Ant-Man in the sense that bats count as being symbolic of Batman. It's a visual motif to create a dynamic fight scene for the audience that associates the forces of the hero with him. So in a sense being beaten by ants is being beaten by Ant-Man, except without Ant-Man even doing anything to bring that outcome about.
It's a good idea, it's was just a lousy execution and technically that was Hank Pym's, the OG Ant-Man big moment. But I think what that other anon was talking abou was MODOK also being important in defeating Kang while at same time shouting about how he is not a dick, just bizarre
Everything about MODOK was the most tone-deaf shit I've ever seen in the MCU, which is really saying something. At least She-Hulk set out to be the grrrl power show. From his introduction he never really seemed like a threat to the people he was allegedly oppressing even when he was nominally Kang's attack dog, and his "redemption" began with a teenage girl calling him a little b***h, and ended with everyone looking at him like he was living garbage.
The only thought you were meant to have about him was clearly HEEHEE FUNNY HEAD MAN but they piled so much suffering on him and gave him so little agency there wasn't even anything funny about what happened to him. He's just pathetic.
What makes it much worse for me is that he's Darren Cross who was a total psychopath in his first appearance.
He was never my top 10 MCU villain or anything but he was just menacing enough that it completely ruins him in retrospect.
>Do I look like a monster?
Anon he lost to socialism like every Robber Baron will some day.
>Disney recasts Kang and says, "muh variant."
>Has to find another black guy to avoid jogger rage
If they do that, I hope they retcon the High Evolutionary into being a Kang variant. Because like I said then, he was a better Kang than Kang.
High Evo is rotting in a Knowhere cell right now
Pretty sure it was the intent of the movie to leave him fricking DEAD in his exploding lair, actually. But hey. Kang time shit.
Gunn confirmed that Drax is carrying him when they first leave his ship
>Jogger
c**t.
I meant to say Black person but I'm on a phone and it autocorrected, sorry.
>political messaging issue
moron
>Bet your next big franchise on a black guy
>He dies of cancer
>Bet the next big franchise after him on a different black guy
>He beats his girlfriend and tanks his reputation
Maybe Disney will take a hint.
>So committed to the role of villain that commits crimes in real life
What a chad
>We can use Hellcat.
>Maybe give her a show instead of fricking Jessica Jones, one of Marvel's shittiest creations? (aka all of Bendis' creations) Focus on horror and supernatural side of the MCU?
>Nah, let's just make her a villain after she kills a Dexter's villain of the week. But enjoy your bogstandard Lifetime drama with capeshit characters and dragged out for 13 episodes though.
>Something like Into The Badlands but with Iron Fist?
>"We couldn't think of a reason for Danny to wear the outfit". Enjoy your boardroom slop and the exact same tone and visual style as all the other shows before
>The Punisher?
>uh just do a generic spy thriller that barely resembles Punisher comics, don't use anything fun like Barracuda, Slavers, The Russian (oh wait, according to the wiki the nameless generic henchman from the second season who got beaten to death with a dumbbell WAS The Russian lmao. Suddenly I have the urge to take everything bad I ever said about Kevin Nash.) and Jigsaw's "scars" are so mild, makes you wonder why they bothered in the first place when a schlocky 2008 movie completely mogs them
Creative my ass. All they could do is the exact same thing MCU always did. See one thing that's successful (Daredevil) and in the typical soulless executive manner keep mindlessly aping it without thinking, diluting everything that worked in the process.
>implying hellcat isn't shit too
Ward was the best part of Iron Fist, and I was hoping for more of him and Danny on a journey of self discovery in the following season.
The Hellcat actress is also pretty.
He's setting off my gaydar.
2 more weeks.
No, but seriously, they'll recast him and/or put him back into the time fridge.
good cause unlike ezra miller, who was just a schizo who had a mental breakdown and was LARPing as jesus, this guy is actually serially violent and abusive and guilty
>ezra miller was not violent
>disorderly conduct is violence
he's dressed like the joker and had nerf bullets and a Flash ring in his pocket
are you afraid of that?
>once again ignoring the choking video
i've actually kind of missed you ezragay, especially when the flash flopped horrifically and you stopped posting out of embarrassment
explain to me why this "choking video" was utterly dismissed by the police and why witnesses in Iceland said the woman was full of shit
explain to me why it went viral in 2020, died out, and then suddenly in 2022 it somehow became relevant again
explain to me why you think dumb out of context clips posted on twatter for clout (that look like a joke, she's clearly not being choked) are the same as this violent Black person putting his girlfriend in the hospital
>explain to me why this "choking video" was utterly dismissed by the police and why witnesses
it shouldn't be a surprise that celebs get away with shit, even with evidence.
>why witnesses in Iceland said the woman was full of shit
they didn't
>explain to me why it went viral in 2020, died out, and then suddenly in 2022 it somehow became relevant again
because his movie was coming out, dumbass
>that look like a joke, she's clearly not being choked
he slams her against a machine and then takes her down to the ground, you schizoid freak.
Except they did, Icelandic locals literally posted on news pages at the time that she set him up. They then proceeded to lie about the video some more on Leddit saying the cops went to the scene and arrested and dragged Ezra off, and then the cops gave a statement an entire week later saying "lol no"
https://www.thewrap.com/ezra-miller-not-under-investigation-choking-woman/
So what evidence? The single clip by itself without all this extenuating context means literally nothing. You just didn't bother learning said context, and instead of researching you jump to conspiracy theories about some capeshit loser nobody buying off another country.
I've watched the video dozens of times, his hand is on her collarbone, and his other hand is held out to brace her fall to place her on the ground and end the encounter, it's the most gentle vanilla shit I've ever seen but you and other NPC's act like he suplexed her
>it's the most gentle vanilla shit I've ever seen
well of course it is, you probably watch goreshit like all schizoids so a choke and slam looks tame compared to that.
Oh look the literal cultist who defends Ezra Miller is here.
Still beat the Marvels
>He doesn't know what Ezra did to Sonic The Hedgehog
>tamers was the blueprint
Bro imagine defending they/them out of all the people... Erza should be shot on the spot, at this point its putting out of misery
>imagine defending an innocent person
you're no different than the lefttards raging about rittenhouse
except in this case it's even more pathetic, because ezra doesn't fit in enough to either dogma to get defended by the left either
But he's not innocent, he's a pedophile, a rapist, and a kidnapper. This doesn't even touch on the "he's a gay israelite" stuff.
he isn't, but the people who falsely accused him are
otherwise link to the trials and investigations that proved your claims
spoiler alert: you can't
person who made up the grooming literally confessed on the record, showed the proof of her feeding the allegations to the demoncrat politician father: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lG1H5LqegU
the only schizo is you or anyone else still thinking this shit is credible simply because rolling stone wrote it
did ezra make this image? he'd be the only one to give enough of a shit to do something like this
it's telling how much you pretended to give a shit about women and children when the headlines first appeared, now that you find out that all credible witnesses/"victims" literally defend ezra you accuse me of being him
maybe have a nice day? that's what the stalker wanted him to do, the fat ugly negress you're simping for
Ezra will never frick you, boy.
>text messages
>that means it totally happen guys, OUSTED CONFIRMED!
>WE DID NOT MAKE THIS UP OR TAKE MESSAGES OUT OF CONTEXT, NO SIR!!
You homosexuals never learn.
What part of her saying she'll lie to doctors so he won't get in trouble, and then he threatens to kill himself like that kid who didn't get cuddles from his mommy, is out of context? Even if it was over a spilled souffle, it is abusive.
Since this is a misdemeanor the harshest sentence he could get is a year in jail, I assume he won't get that but maybe 90 days is on the cards. If he gets no jailtime I think Disney won't fire him.
>Raceswap Kang
>Create unintentional racist reference to We Wuz Kangz
>Literal fricking chimp for an actor who attacks his ex because mental capacity is that of a toddler
>Ruins your franchise as a result
Go woke...
>unintentional
🙂
unintentional racist reference to We Wuz Kangz
Kang being Egyptian predates that shitty meme by like 50 years
Yea but Kang was fricking white so the joke didn't quite resonate.
Ancient egyptians weren't black.
He was never actually Egyptian, he was a white guy from the future who travelled back in time and used future tech to conquer ancient Egypt.
>Gets a girlfriend and gets laid
>I can't
Bros is Dark Triad learnable?
If you're posting on Cinemaphile, statistically speaking you're too much of bleeding heart to ever achieve it. If you were on the Dark Triad grindset, you either wouldn't need literal children's cartoons and funny pictures to enjoy life. Or you'd be one of the writers ruining them, and then bragging about it on The Platform Formerly Known As Twitter.
Can it be faked?
>Bad guy in real life plays a bad guy in a movie
Seems like appropriate casting.
Why does Cinemaphile love "black people" so much? Is this Cinemaphile's reddit hangout?
the MCU is already dead
Do they not have court on Saturdays or will there be new stuff today?
nah, they keep saying he's innocent but then find new evidence which is rapidly debunked followed by him being hired for new movies but then new evidence comes and the cycle continues
I'm glad he's going to prison because he's ugly. They chose an ugly black guy to be their main villain. There's black people who are not ugly and they didn't choose them.
How is this a surprise? Remember before the trial when they released texts from his girlfriend?
>I told the cops I deserved everything you did because I touched your property
>oh shit it's kang from a different timeline where he looks like a different dude
this is one of the easiest characters to replace and just have people ignore it
>You've faced all my lesser variants, Avengers, but can you handle Kang Prime?
just recast him retcon his face, pretend it was always [new actor]'s. better than ruining what little coherence is left
Does it worth the effort? Kang was always a lame villain with a boring gimmick and his introduction to the MCU fell flat.
Literally just don cheedle this mf asap
Do modern audiences really need an in universe explanation for why someone was recast? I feel like this used to be the kind of ting people would accept because they understand we're watching fiction. Like nobody wondered why Batman suddenly went from Keaton to Kilmer to Clooney. Nobody wondered why we're on our second War Machine and like third hulk.
It's mostly actual comic book fans that need some in-universe explanation for everything.
>Will this be what finally ends the MCU?
No no no. The remaining stages are:
>attempted re-railment
>[Smash Glass] Bring back RDJ
>soft reboot, new universe
>oh shit oh frick it isn't working why doesn't anybody love this third reboot of the Fantastic Four?!
>IP enters "white dwarf" era where it continues to exists, has ups and downs, but only sporadically attracts major attention again. Like the James Bond series.
deadpool 3 will be the cherry on top
cuz its the only bit of this marvel stuff ive payed attention to since endgame.
then they can go back on to riding Star Wars until it crashes.
>Will this be what finally ends the MCU?
No, but it's what's accelerating the transition to the Fox-MCU.
They really thought they'd sell a filler phase of Avenger's understudies v Kang for a couple of years.
Now whether Fox-MCU will catch fire I do not know. On the one hand there's a hell of a lot of nostalgia for the Fox-Men (original). On the other the original Fox-Men are getting hella-decrepit.
On another hand Disney has gotten very good at de-aging over time, and AI-fakery throws another element into it.
>On the one hand there's a hell of a lot of nostalgia for the Fox-Men (original).
From who? Nobody cared about any of them but Wolverine or Deadpool. The movies without either of them didn't do very well.
The lawyer is a moron
Racists will not win. We support KANG
The world is changing chuds. And you are not part of it
Hopefully
