Honestly, IFG has more in common with your traditional martial arts shonen, (Baki and Ranma 1/2 are great examples), with the protagonist learning new techniques and becoming stronger as the story goes on

OPM’s whole thing is subverts the typical Shonen power progression by having Saitama already being strong enough to kill almost anything in one punch from the get go and having him become bored and depressed because of it

I'd argue OPM is more a parody of tokusatsu series rather than Shonen, but yeah your not wrong.

    Also, here’s the actual premise
    >The series follows Andy, a young
lesbian, who dreams of becoming the greatest pro wrestler of the whole universe
    >Assuming the wrestler alias "Fight Girl", Andy sets out into the bizarre and colorful Wrestling World, determined to make a name for herself.
    >Along the way, she meets cynical retired champ, Aunt P; the endearingly innocent Mikey, a great wrestling analyst-in-the-making; and the unscrupulous Craig, who doesn’t so much love wrestling as he does scheming ways to profit off it.
    >United in the goal of helping Andy achieve wrestling glory, this found family embarks on a journey filled with adversity and self-discovery as they chase their dreams, push past their limits and, most importantly, deliver smackdowns on the toughest wrestlers they can find.

            >Shows like Amphibia and Owl House owe their existence to KP.
No they didn't. Owl House was an attempt by Disney to create Gravity Falls 2.O and Amphibia was pitched as a Loud House esk show though was more inspired by Pepper Anne and certain anime. Kim Possible has nothing to do with those series.

A girl being combative and aggressive is not the quirky thing to do anymore. That's just how most women are now. So the only interesting thing I can see here is that it's a regular western girl who fights monsters. Not exactly breaking new ground. I expect this will be some Flying Bark production like LEGO monkey kid or rise of TMNT where they copy sakuga from anime like kill la kill. And then all the non-action scenes are overwhelmingly tweened and simplified to balance the animation budget. My prediction is all style no substance, simple 2-dimensional personalities that get undermined constantly for jokes, and a haphazardly cobbled together story about some rogues gallery of villains.
    Now I wait.

Isn't this PG Lisa the Painful? I vaguely remember a CN show being developed that was about the last girl in an apocalypse setting.

It was short for Cartoon Cartoons, no relation to this.

If it has at least one Kinnikuman reference I'll watch it

No women on the planet who "make cartoons" for a living are going to understand why wrestling/fighting is enjoyable in the first place. It's going to be some shallow female power fantasy, but even worse than shonen, because it will lack anything actually interesting like mastering a move or analyzing your opponents techniques during a fight. Someone who makes a visual series about fighting ought to be the kind of person who autistically draws fighting poses and cool moves in their free time. Just looking at the art style makes it obvious that's not the case here. Mark my words the only saving grace for this show will be the animators if we're lucky.

Unless I’ve fricking misheard. Pretty sure the creator behind this show is a guy.

I’m hopeful that it will be good, they showed off an animatic at the recent Annecy animation festival but we haven’t seen it yet. I just want to see it and my adventures with Superman because otherwise CN hasn’t really got much else going on. It would be great if this could sorta bring forth more action cartoons if it’s good and successful.

That’s where I’m at pretty much. Hoping for the best.
