Williams Street Productions is probably dead

Hey, I've got family that works in Atlanta around that area and they heard some people at lunch talking about how Williams Street Productions is probably going to close.

You don't have to believe me, but they've been right before. They do a service job pretty close by.

No idea if this is part of delisting the adult swim games and just how much of adult swim is going to get purged.

Name one notable game that they've released that's earned WB any significant amount of money.

Why do normal gays enjoy fox slop more the actually decent adult swim shows?

Because most “decent” AS shows are actually trash and only have a cult following. R&M and ATHF are the only ones that ever got true widespread mainstream appeal.

Doesn't make any sense, wasn't Adult Swim literally one of the only cable channels that still has a reasonable viewership, aside from Fox News, CNN & cooking channels ?
That was the reason why they extended AS' timeslot with Checkered Past in the first place. Either this is fake and gay or Zaslav is genuinely moronic.

Get some reading comprehension. They are shutting down Williams Street PRODUCTIONS, not the entire channel. Checkered Past will still air CN reruns, and 90% of AS airtime will go with Bobs, Futurama, KotH and American Dad. They will probably take a shot at getting Cleveland Show back too. Family Guy is probably still out of reach.

Nothing WS makes is an audience pull so it’s an easy piece of fat to trim

        >Get some reading comprehension.
Frick off now. I know exactly what I've read.
Williams Street, aside from producing their own shows, they also PROGRAM the actual scheduling of Adult Swim as a block. They're the ones who call the shots on what will air on AS. Not Cartoon Network, nor anybody else at Warner.
If you get rid of them, you won't have anybody to make the decision of what show to air, unless you create a new division to do so - which, quite frankly, sounds like a moronic decision in the first place, when you already have Williams Street doing that job well. Hence why either this is fake or a moronic move by Zaslav if true.
        >Nothing WS makes is an audience pull so it’s an easy piece of fat to trim
        Rick & Morty is though.
Also, even though they didn't produce it, it was Williams Street's idea to buy to rights of Family Guy & Futurama for reruns back when the shows got cancelled.

is it? Isn't it made by separate companies in Cali and Canada?

Adult Swim Games is shutting down because it's part of WBD's Streaming and Games division which is cutting costs in the aftermath of Suicide Squad bombing. It's not bringing in any profits. Same reason they axed Rooster Teeth and MotorTrend+ (also in the same division)

Williams Street is completely separate and part of the Networks division which is doing fine. It also produces Rick and Morty, one of WBD's biggest money makers. They're not fricking with that

      >It also produces Rick and Morty, one of WBD's biggest money makers.

Isn't Rick and Morty made in California and Canada? So they could totally shut down the actual WS location in Atlanta?

Warner will not exist in a year. When your stock price is $8 and you are a mega million dollar corporation you are fricked beyond belief. Them axing shit like Adult Swim and RoosterTeeth is a pretty big indicator why. Especially when their film division sucks.

Who do you think will buy them up?

Comcast or Apple. I know for sure it won't be Disney or Netflix, Disney is broke too and Netflix does not want traditional assets at all.

Disney would never be allowed, either. Anti trust suits.
