Disney is working as hard as they can to destroy the comfy nostalgia of being a kid and looking forward to renting Aladdin or lion king on a Friday night. Before deleting d+ last year I watched a few of the old ones- Bambi, sleeping beauty, Cinderella, 101 Dalmatians, aristocats… beautiful pieces of art and skill that are now bittersweet.

It really does in a way i've never seen so strongly in a disney movie before. Previously you could always tell at a glance which movie was a Disney and which is a cheapo barbie saves a pony adventure, but they must have known this was gonna flop and decided to cut CGI corners to the max, as they look indistinguishable.
I haven't watched Wish, but I doubt there's anything really wrong with it. It's probably not great, but neither was Frozen and it's one of their most popular movies ever.

Technically, she agrees that not all wishes should be granted, just that they should be returned if denied so that they can pursue it themselves and be stopped if it's evil.
I mean, the king makes it very easy to reform people, because people with deep, evil desires will give up their wish and thus give up their desires and not be evil, but this movie is stupid and didn't think about any of these cases.
