Well yeah, because Strange World was during lockdown. If the two movies had come out at the same time, with no lockdown, we'd remember Clade not Magnifico. Jaeger's a good character in a shitty movie. Magnifico is just a dude that makes people go "this conflict is stupid, he's right (until you look at the fine print)!"
I didn't see it. The dude on the left looks like a total movie buzzkill. Dude in the center looks passable. Dude on the right makes me want to wait for direct to video piracy.

I watched this waste of effort during last year's black Friday using my discount code, so i paid 1/4 of the actual adimission price to see it because i had nothing else to do and I should have stayed doing nothing.

I mean, JAEGER was megabased, sure.
But the art was awful, the conflict just wasn't exciting, every character except Jaeger was a forgettable mushball, the soundtrack made no impression on anyone, the "so weird" setting was meh, and so on.
"We must save the environment (and it's easy to do once you spot the problem)" is not a good story hook.
