>Disney are as fearless as ever
???
They for some reason see blatant marketing tactics are daring.
>Disney are as fearless as ever
Disney's a coward and only their competitors can be called fearless, specially Dreamworks.
>Who is your "fearless" hero? Not the Mouse.
"Brave" and "fearless" are just euphemisms for stupid.
*Since The Black Cauldron
Black Cauldron was not in 2.55.
It was 2.39 or so
Just like Zootopia
2.39/2.40 is also cinemascope.
Black Cauldron was in 70mm 2.20:1
Also, who gives a shit about the aspect ratio. It doesn’t magically make a shit movie into a non shit one.
What's your Ideal aspect ratio for Animated movies or TV shows, Cinemaphile?
I prefer 4:3 for 90% of cartoons, but I adore Primal's aspect ratio.
2.39:1 for feature films
16:9 for television animation
4:3 for experimental rough-looking stuff
>could make a 2D movie for your 100 year anniversary
>don't
Disney is fricking dead. It's creatively void.
Well the last time they made hand drawn animated films they flopped at the box office.
They did it to themselves.
>the last time they made hand drawn animated films they flopped at the box office.
>The last 2D theatrical film by Walt Disney Animation, 'Winnie the Poo'
>Avatar and Last Harry Potter as competitors.
>Why did it flop execs? Clearly it's because 2d is a dead medium not because of the movie quality and its competitors.
>Stops making 2D
Yeah anon you're 100% right and that's why Suzume a cheap Japanese 2D anime movie that came out this year made over $300M or why Demon Slayer movie made over $500M in 2020 when the pandemic was at full force.
2D is totally dead and you're so right.
Every single one of those flops Disney were directly responsible for. They stopped making 2D movies because the execs WANTED to stop making 2D movies, and blatantly sabotaged their projects as "proof" it was dying out.
There's only like three or five old guard 2D animators left at Disney at this point. There is apparently a 2D training program going on though and that's where the Once Upon a Studio short they're doing in front of this movie came from.
wish looks like its visuals were AI generated. (not saying it is) It looks very bland i dont understand how when DISNEY gets around to the 2d+3d style im not excited for it.
Screw you Cinemaphile, I’m looking forward to this one.
She seems coom worthy.
Coomer opinions aren't worth anything.
They flopped because Disney thought it was a smart idea to pit them against the 2 most popular films of the 2000s (Avatar and Harry Potter 8)
They were deliberately set up to fail. Mission accomplished.
boo
Dont care
>giant leap forward in animation salivation
It's just a fricking video game filter
Their shitty attempt at nostalgia-baiting a a story not connected to anything they made before but will definitely try to push it as being connected
>Songs are good
That's all I care about
I read this is supposed to be about the origins of the wishing star and that's something I don't think any kid will even understand or care about.
