Really? Sunrise is THE mecha animation studio. Cygame's anime adaptation of their flagship franchise, Granblue Fantasy, had notorious compositing issues, as well as conspicuous 3D CGI soldiers.

The point is, Cygames not only learned what not to do after their GF adaptation, but also opened their own in-house animation studio, which does quite well.

When you stop and think about it getting English speaking kids into mecha isn't easy; most of your options would get reduced to

AMAIM has none of these issues. Sure, adults may not like it, but that's because most mecha fans (like us) have already seen a lot and are well out of our beginner phase. We were all newbs once.
/m/ should really have a chart for getting children under 13 into mecha anime. I know there's multiple anons on this board that are parents/have child relatives. I think it could be done with enough thought.

Actually, I have a good show to recommend - RobiHachi. It has a dub, it's fun, it's family-friendly (by Japanese standards, mind you) involves space travel and mecha, directed by the Gintama director.

We all meme about "muh toys", but mecha toys now are almost all very expensives since they are not aimed for younger kids anymore. at least those related to shows.
Recent mechas anime will continue to struggle if new bloods are not found. And the new blood isn't just with teens and adults.
I just buy the model kits because they look badass. The show was one of the worst piles of shit I've ever seen, but it still won't stop me from blindly buying every kit that comes out while knowing literally nothing about the mech.

I like the ending. Otherwise, it was just too short to be impactful. It is actual /m/ tho, which is nice. And with the short episodes it gets straight into the action.
