With Disney circling the drain, who do you think is going to buy Marvel?
I could have imagined it being Apple, but I think they're a lot more likely to buy back Pixar just as a historic middle finger.
I think Amazon or Netflix is a bit more likely, it definitely won't be another film company imo

I think they'll just keep shuttering more stuff instead of sell Marvel.
You cannot bring in cash by cancelling projects
They need cash fast since they have a commitment to buy Hulu, selling IP is more immediately lucrative than canceling Shang Chi 2 or whatever

>With Disney circling the drain, who do you think is going to buy Marvel?
Sony, Tencent, EA, literally any major corporation with tons of money.
>I could have imagined it being Apple, but I think they're a lot more likely to buy back Pixar just as a historic middle finger.
Pixar is literally useless. The entire OGs left to make a new studio with Apple. There’s 0 value in Pixar, not even the tech is valuable. Apple would buy Disney in its entirety if you are hoping to take it that far.
>I think Amazon or Netflix is a bit more likely, it definitely won't be another film company imo
That’s also a possibility.
>I think they'll just keep shuttering more stuff instead of sell Marvel.
Paris Disney, if sold off, would only net 3B out of the 5.5B they spent there. With the protests happening and Iger totally ignoring them, I can see them selling it off but that won’t cover the 27B dollar bill they owe Comcast
>Disney won't sell their properties, they're not like on the brink of bankruptcy or anything and even if they are, the power of properties like Marvel could single handedly keep them alive (not to mention literally everything else they own)
Marvel and Star Wars Merch isn’t selling well anon. The movies give them returns but very small ones considering the budgets are huge. Try being Disney and having a 27B Bill, what are you going to do? You only have 200M liquid. You need to sell something
Iger would rather sacrifice Spider-Man on the cross than ever let Comcast take over
They should sell crap like Kim Possible
>They should sell crap like Kim Possible
Kim can’t even scratch a quarter million anon, no matter how many tributes some Cinemaphilecks her have made to her
And I know for a fact that someone’s going to mention fox properties like Avatar or simpsons, that won't even net a billion alone either. With the CFO fired, they need to pull a Hail Mary and save themselves or else the stock price will literally shit itself. Need I remind you, almost everyone has retirement money in Disney
I just want to see Kim Possible suffer for all the damage she's gone
I hate how more people talk about stocks and box office drama than actually talking about comics and animation.
It's because most cartoons and all comics are shit right now
>Tencent
lol
lmao
Didn’t know tencent was doing badly. Well, there is Sony, EA, Actiblizz, and many others. Pic related came at a good time

Keep them alive yes, but they'll have to dilute more and more of their company to corporate interests to meet their current obligations.
They're 40 billion dollars in debt because of buying Fox and Hulu. 40 billion.
They have less than 10 billion on hand and are getting outpaced by interest at this point. Ant-Man 3, Elemental, Indiana Jones, and Little Mermaid all being misses (Elemental and Indiana Jones especially being on track to lose hundreds of millions at a time when the company desperately needs the money) puts them in a really horrible spot.
You might see "A Comcast Company" under the Disney logo by the time Zootopia 2 comes out.
Are those even out yet?
No but box office tracking is historically reliable. You almost never see it off more than ten or fifteen percent, and it's looking like the opening weekend for either is going to be a record breaking disaster
Elemental is projected at 40 mil on a budget of 200 mil, Indiana Jones is projected at 60 mil on a budget of 300 mil
These don't account for marketing budgets, and don't account for what cut of the ticket Disney actually gets
They're on fire
This is what they get for green lighting Kim Possible
Universal buying Disney? Imagine that 100 year story coming to a book ends scenario right back to the original company source. I have serious doubts about this however
Imagine if Warner Bros bought Marvel...
Are you implying Warner Bros is doing good with DC?
I am not
To be fair, when Marvel was having a shit time way back when, they we're gonna sell to DC... imagine... More Spiderman and Batman comics... drool
>More Spiderman and Batman comics... drool
Of course you consoomers would literally drool
Warner Bros can barely afford Warner Bros
