Samurai Jack already got a continuation, and it was bad.
He doesn't have to come back. X-Men shows you don't need the original crew to make a good show.

There's still so many unresolved storylines left that it needs closure. If X-Men 97 can do it, SJ can do it.
I wouldn't say it was bad. The romance mostly dragged down the season.
Disappointing yes, but bad, not until after he regained his sword. At least Epsidoes 1-3 of Season 5 range from Masterpieces to pretty good.
If he were to come back and do 6 new episodes ignoring episodes 3-10 of Season 5 or an updated version of Battle through Time with Jack actually fighting the Guardian, then i'm all for it. Otherwise not interested in either, some episode commentaries would be neat though.
2nd half of it was, least the first half was godlike aand had the best episode of the whole series. Shame the ending was bullshit moronic.
This is what made it so uniquely disappointing. I went in trying to keep expectations low but the first few episodes where better than anything I imagined, which made the immediate decline into garbage so, so much worse.
The 1st few episodes were exactly how most of us imagnied an Adult version of Samurai Jack would be, seriously episodes 1 and 2 were perfection, the holes started to show with episodes 3 or 4 but both were still pretty good, episodes 5, 6 and 7 were okay, after Jack got his sword back is when it became bad, Epsidoes 8 was awful, episode 9 was a little better and the Series Finale was a rushed mess that just barely stumbled across the finish line.
It was good. The alternate ending from the video game was bad.

Dexter's Lab is like King of the Hill in that you can never run out of new ideas for the show. It's untapped potential.

Maybe a 10 episode midquel exploring the 50 year time gap. But that should be it, unless 6 new episodes ignoring S5 episodes 3-10 get made or Battle Through Time gets updated.

X-Men 97 is easily one of the best Action Animated series based off an established IP in 14 years. It's truly a miracle.
