Yeah, I realized after watching it that the only reason it's lauded as a great film is because it's about exhonerating some black teenager. same with to Kill a Mockingbird. They're (('highly regarded')) because they forward a social agenda, no other reason.

I dont think they said what race he was but he looked Puerto rican or itlalian. But the point of the movie was that enlightened whites should give more than a reasonable doubt to non-white defendants. A racist standard for sure.
yeah this movie is a good example of everything jurors aren't supposed to do lmao >visiting scene of crime while trial is still going on >making a bunch of assumptions about witnesses and evidence >judging on emotions and assumptions instead of just the facts
the kid had a shitty lawyer, that's for sure.

I also figured this almost immediately, the movie is civil rights movement pro-diversity bs
it's still a good movie but it's hard to take seriously.
Are people really this stupid? The point of the story is nothing to do with race or even whether or not the kid did or did not do it, it’s about breaking down the kinds of men that exist and the kinds of biases that impact their decisions, from prejudice to fear to apathy. The jury room is just means to lock 12 strangers in a room and give them something to talk about.
The older I get the more I realize that scene where the last sensible guy rambles and everyone turns around one-by-one is perhaps the progenitor of modern white guilt browbeating.
Unironicly yes.
He didn't do nuffin and you just think that because you are a bad person is the message of the show.
being this stupid should be a crime
True
Crime is for Blacks, who are dumb.
Hopefully I get a jury stacked with leftys
If you're white, no you don't.

the teenager wasn't black

he's not black he's italian.
What's a non-woke courtroom drama that's fun?
amber heard v johnny depp
My Cousin Vinny
>juror introduces his own "evidence" while they're discussing the verdict

True. It deceives some viewers into thinking the guy wasn't guilty bc of muh prejudice
And now you realize that everything was always “woke” because rightoids literally don’t make art, lmao
Anything that lauds real beauty or strength is right-wing.
>woke
just say "anti-White" or "israeli", stop using moronic conservative phrases.
This & Death of a Salesman is demoralizing trash.
Can I really bring a knife into a jury room and use it to convince everyone else to let a killer go free?
awful movie if you take it at face value, great movie if you think Fonda's character doesn't believe in the system at all.

>/misc/ is now realizing that most movies almost always favored liberalism
Ahhh I love it when the realization kicks in
Is Citizen Kane in favor of liberalism? What about Casablanca or The Bicycle Thieves? Come on now, this is a bit of a stretch.
I remember liking russian remake when it came out like 15 years ago. The weirdest part about that remake is that russia never had juries bullshit.
