lol gosling is done
Good morning saar. Please be of looking up the definition of flop
go look up the budget for ghostbusters and then the flop guy
you fricking moronic goosegay
Both are flops, Sukhdeep. Pretty much everything released in 2024 is and will be a flop.
>Pretty much everything released in 2024 is and will be a flop
not dune part 2
but you said this will flop because dude timothee while the flop guy will be a success
it wasn't. you fricking lost goslinggays. YOU FRICKING LOST!
Who are you talking to? Are you being gangstalked?
Didn't Gosling just win an Oscar and was in the biggest movie if the year last year?
and the flop guy clearly shows it wasn't because of him
barbie was an ip movie
>Didn't Gosling just win an Oscar
Downey Jr. won that category.
Top Gun 2 was the biggest movie of 2022, but Cruise's Mission 8 was a flop in 2023.
> Ghostbusters $100 million budget - $199 million gross
>A typical rule for profitability in Hollywood is the 2.5x rule. The rule states that if you are to Google a movie's production budget, the number that appears needs to earn 2.5x that budget because it doesn't include marketing costs and theater revenue shares.
It's not a profitable.
now look up the budget for the flop guy
go ahead
look. it. up
Ghostbusters is a flop. I don't care about other movie.
>pay myself $100 million to make something
>sorry tax man I needed $250 million to profit
Spin it however, we still get to call it a flop. Hollywoke is dead.
How much are you paying the cinemas to show that thing you've made?
Didn't know Civil War got past $100m. Barely heard anyone talk about it after the first 2 weeks. Much bigger international audience than I thought. Though, it looks like it won't break even at the box office. It will just lose less money than I thought it would.
It's already at 110 million. Plus merch sales. Plus A24 getting money from selling it to streaming. Plus there's also going to be a release in China next month, that will add a bit more money on top of everything. It's profitable.
And Cinemaphiletards should never speak about box office numbers ever again.

>Civil War
>merch sales
What?
A24 has an entire merch shop and they have merch for almost every movie they produce / distribute.
Wow, that civil war merch will have to do some serious lifting to get them out of the red, but I’m sure it’s really awesome and essential swag…
Damn, the Chinks are gearing up to dethrone Hollywood. Good for them.
Christ these numbers are dire. $700 million+ for Dunc 2 isn’t bad, but pre-pandemic that’s a film that would have been expected to clear a billion to be considered successful. Godzilla X Kong scraping past $500 million is probably enough for it to break even, every other major tentpole release on this list is a disaster. How is Sony not bankrupt with films like Ghostbusters performing so poorly?
who else is based and hasnt seen any of these shitty movies
Me. At some point I might see the statham one but I’m not in a rush.
Lmao at Dune flopping. That's like 300 million in real world bucks after movie ticket prices doubled and inflation soared
democracy was always a mistake
Don't worry bro, democracy is finished.
The only $1 billion plus films are going to be Deadpool and Despicable Me, everything else is marginal. But Hollywood have written off 2024 anyway, next year is the crunch year for them.
