I like the design, at least compared to the previous Millennium suits, but the movie is atrocious.

I dunno, I can't call it the WORST Godzilla design, but it's just so... there. There's nothing special about it. The body is too skinny (I get that they wanted to make it more athletic-looking for better fights, but GFW's fights sucked anyway), the face is just the Miregoji done badly, and the dorsal fins are too dinky.
When i was a kid i thought he was super sleek and badass but now he just seems totally unremarkable for some reason. Pretty much what

It's fine, I like it better than the general Millenium design, which was too busy, the spiky, pink-purple spinal plates were too busy, and the green scales made him look like a toy. Final Wars design is like a modern take on a late-Showa design.
I'm partial to this design because my dad brought me back a toy from a trip to asia

Can't say that but the Mutant Matrix Fights that take up almost all of the movie isn't all that great on rewatch, which is a shame since they sacrificed pretty much all of Goji's fights with a ton of monsters for it. Not my favorite but I like it way better than Revenge.
Vs Destroyah is just plain fricking cool and there's nothing that'll change about that.
Sure, Vs Biolannte has better human characters. Sure, Ghidorah is more fun. Sure, Vs Space Godzilla has a way longer final battle, but the gauntlet of humans to junior to eventual Godzilla Destroyah challenged as he changed was great. The tech was cool. Godzilla got to complete a story arc, that's genuinely rare. And, simply put, it's fricking cool.

Godzilla vs. Biollante, by far. I love Godzilla movies and I love 1980s horror/monster movies, and GvsBiollante scratches both itches simultaneously. The effects are legitimately so good, on par with American stuff at the time. Then Kawakita started drinking and the rest of the movies went to shit.

A lot of hype for this movie. As a kid I was fricking amped. A lot of shilling for it in Godzilla Save the Earth for PS2. You could unlock pics and screenshots of the movie and I saw Minyah in there and got worried but all the other pics made it look awesome. One of the most disappointing things in my life, it’s not really a movie, barely. More like a shitty montage of a bunch of lame 70s characters no one cares about that didn’t take itself seriously at all. I was pissed. It grew on me in adulthood but I still don’t like it that much.
This is technically the first new godzilla suit in 20 years.

I liked it for the human characters, less so for godzillas design. Also why was he such a homosexual butthole the entire movie? Seemed like he was destroying ships and buildings just to be a dick
I thought all of it was either subpar or tried too hard. The drama tried way too hard to be as dramatic as possible to the point where I could do nothing but roll my eyes. Godzilla looked off, but I can't really say why. Maybe he was too much like a retooled heisei, or that he was just the ride design but tweaked to the point of ruining the look. Also his animation clashed at times, like how he flops over quick to do the atomic beam. Then the plan to kill him at the end is just pure Japanese autism.
I love GFW and the suit design. The worst suit is easily Son of Godzilla, c'mon.
