the pig fricker episode is still the best one as far as I'm concerned. when I first watched it I was hoping the entire show would just be following up with those characters after that event, was very disappointed.

Agreed. I often hear people complain it's a bad introduction to the series and I completely disagree, if you get filtered by the pig fricking kino then black mirror season 1-2 isn't for you
I think it's the only show on netflix that starts on a different episode by default probably because they don't want it to scare people away, but it's become a completely watered down version of itself now anyway so I guess that makes sense
The pig fricking episode is great, but I also think that it's a bad start, it almost filtered me.
Good think the second episode, 200 mil Merits, is the actually best and convinced me.
I like 15 million merits but I disagree it's a better introduction, Black Mirror is at its best with stories set in the near future, the distant future ones aren't nearly as effective or relatable. 15 mil merits makes a great point about attempts to speak out against the system being commodified by the system (which is ironic considering it's later seasons) but it doesn't have anywhere near the same level of psychological horror the first episode has, it makes you feel like you fricked the pig, that's what early black mirror excels at
This. Shut Up and Dance is a great episode as well for that reason. You're made to empathize with and possibly self-insert as the kid the whole time until the reveal at the end making you feel gross.
The questionable moral feeling at the end along with the impression that something like that is completely possible now is discomforting
100%. That's probably my second favorite episode, the way the reveal slowly creeps up on you towards the end before it's outright stated was great. The fact they included trollfaces and Bronn without making me cringe is an achievement within itself too

The episodes that really sit on it being a character drama in relation to technology are great but tend to be too slow (The Entire History of You, Be Right Back).
A lot have great ideas but are lame in execution.
I get the impression he hasn't given a shit for awhile since the cookie idea has been repeatedly reused and this past season had a fricking werewolf
The part where they played the annoying tone in an attempt to prevent people wanting to watch was peak british, including knowing it wouldn't fricking work and making recording illegal.
I like the talent show knockoff with the bikes and the hatred of fatties as well, its just needlessly fricking dystopian and dabs on so many different kinds of people. The bike energy is immediately wasted on the screens attached to the bikes, the ads are mandatory and once he breaks free of it all he willingly becomes part of the system and is allowed to talk shit about it completely uncensored because they fricking know nobody will do shit.

They turn his edge into a new entertainment and commodity as a release valve. Pent up rage at your situation? Here's your show that's angry too. Rather than doing anything, you can express that rage with a new avatar skin or accessory rather than anything meaningful.
"black mirror" might just seem like a random name that sounds cool, but it actually ties deeper into the shows themes than you think
You see, the title is a subtle reference to Charlie Brooker writing self insert autistic skinny british dudes with black girlfriends
He was shockingly based for a black mirror character. Amazed they didn't make him into the bad guy for that. Ever since it came to shitflix it's become an exercise in white guilt and other lefty bullshit. (not that this wasn't in the original series but it wasn't the awful insufferable type)
What he does with his wife is his problem
Anyway, princess being released while it happened was stupid. She should've been hanged in the street while it happened
>White Christmas > Jon Hamm
FRICK NO, it's shit, anything with that evil piece of shit is shit
It's funny because I've heard normalgays talk about the ending of that episode being horrifying because John Hamm gets blocked by everyone without mentioning the dude who gets locked in a simulation listening to the same song playing on loop for 6 gorillion years because he was incel or something I guess
>the dude who gets locked in a simulation listening to the same song playing on loop for 6 gorillion years because he was incel or something I guess
He killed an old man and is responsible for the little girl getting out and dying in the cold. So first degree and manslaughter/something similar.
But your point stands, basically mental gitmo but for a beyond human amount of time.
Shocking he hasn't taken that idea to make a "digital college" episode where education takes 10 minutes irl but 4 years mentally
wut if ur mum was a computah

Good episode but that goblin creature nearly ruined it with its lefty bullshit and horrifying appearance
She was cancelled out by podrick who saved it

I got filtered. I literally stopped watching after episode 1 and just read the plotlines on Wikipedia and pretended it was a book of short stories.
Oi, OI! Wut if, ur phone...clicked U! Mental innit?
Would the UK prime minister actually do something like this if it happened in real life? I don't know much about UK politicians
The pig is more attractive than the average Brit (man or woman).

It's actually whatever you want it to be with different crossover worlds.
Meme show, but I still liked the ending for White Christmas, despite most of the rest of the episode being shit.
