I think this highly sanitized "Disney-fantasy but with blood" shit D&D has become is pretty boring and forgettable.

Baldurs Gate 3 might actually been better without that universe stapled on.

It would. It's a shit VA. Definitely would have been better off as some turd you ignore during steam's lgbt month sale instead of pretending it has anything to do with the first two.

      pozzed

(slang, derogatory, far-right subcultures) Culturally or ethnically diverse, or left-leaning and adhering to political correctness.

What does the AIDS have to do with it?

      pozzed

What? No, it's slang for having AIDS(or less so other STDs). Being HIV positive=poz, it's a thing among bugchasers

      no
D&D owners are pozzed as frick and it would be another starwars. The movie barely passed muster and managed to still shit allover the male charachters.

      >Hollywood is capable of producing unpozzed anything
You're delusional. Even the One Piece live action had a race swap--even though it's diverse as frick--because there where still to many white people.

No. All dungeon and dragons settings are garbage. The appeal to dungeon and dragons is actually playing the fricking game not reading its lore or novels you moronic nogames homosexual

Literally just do a Drizzt anime and don't pozz it. Infinite money print.

How? The charecter is broken. Has the abilities for Ranger but also Warrior, none of the drawbacks can block at any direction without a shield. 9 times out of 10 any Drow newb will want to be Le Drizzt. It's obnoxious.

easy thats what Entreri and Jarlaxle are for, and yes he lost twice to Entreri, also that Orc king that had ALL the buffs, Drizzt got his ass handed to him

        >Has the abilities for Ranger but also Warrior
Ranger is a Warrior class, you fricking moron.
        >none of the drawbacks
        What drawbacks moron?
        >can block at any direction without a shield
There are a ton of ways to do that in every fricking edition.

There was an awful cartoon adaptation done 15 years ago. Just horrible. For Dragonlance to work it need to be low fantasy but not a deconstruction. This is not the Witcher or ASOFAI. You would need a cast of Anglo Saxons or WASPS to play the Heroes of the Lance, maybe have Goldmoon and Silverwind be played by ethnic actors (they are barbarians so who the hell knows where they came from). You also need to make sure it's a martial series, I.E., not having 120 pound women doing ninja flips and dropping a draconian in one kick to the neck (Tika had brass balls but she never killed a drake); fights need to be carried by big guys with swords and axes. Raistlin is there as the ace in the hole but a coughin fit and he is out of comission. Also, make sure it is hopeful, inspirational, heroic. There are deaths in the War of the Lance saga but it's always uplifting, the heroes win in the end, the day is saved. The bad guys chose their own path and were defeated in the end. No one should shed a tear for Verminaard, he was not a gud boi who dindu nuffin.

      Kitiara is a fighter class

Did you confuse Tika with Kitara? Tika was the bar wench that joined the companions after they came back from Pax Tharkas with the Discs and found the Inn burned down. She bashed a draconian on the head with a frying pan and was given some armor but at the end of the day she was just a plucky barmaid that ended up as Caramon's wife. Kitara is another story alltogether.

yes I know who Tika is I was pointing that there are female warriors in the story and Kitara probably could take out a draconian with one hit, I mean with a sword but still

read these in middle school and loved em. I’d really rather they not get pozzed in a Netflix adaptation.

There's one in the works set in the same world as the latest D&D movie so you'll find out how well it works soon enough

I only meant to say that it's a spin off/in the same continuity as the film. I did not mean to trigger any D&D autism about modules or settings or whatever the frick

not him but I just looked it up no news of it being cancelled last update was april saying its still going ahead not saying it will be any good after all this is the studio that brought us Halo

              Anonymous

Like I said anon, cope. Their justification for the series was the movie, and the movie bombed. The studio just keeps losing money. They're having to sell off properties to keep the lights on. They'll be lucky if Paramount+ is even still a thing a year from now. "Was" is past-tense. At best it's in development hell.

it would probably be the most pozzed thing ever made. Rings of Power and that new Game of Thrones show would look at it and say "wow, tone it down with the globalist shit."

A D&D setting without any identifiable (by the common person) D&D brandings or references would work, just as any generic fantasy setting would.

The D&D name has been tarnished beyond repair by decades of association with undersocialized young men.
