Would it have been better than splitting up Sam and Bucky into separate film series?

There is nothing you could do to ever make an audience want to see either of these morons. Mcu is dead
It shouldn’t have gotten a first season. Captain America isn’t black. Sam shouldn’t be anything but falcon.
Steve Rogers would be sad to hear you say that.
Yeah, probably. I would have liked to see a season of Captain Falcon, and then maybe a season of Bucky as Cap.
Biggest problem is that bucky barely has any good solo stoires and falcon has none as cap.
Falcon and winter soldier had good basic ideas but could'nt land the shit.
Cap had better get used to disapointement in modern america.
Bucky was a better choice for Captain America, falcon doesn't even have any powers, also in the comics Bucky already have BETTER stories as Captain America than Falcon as Falcon and most stories of Falcon being Captain America are either forgettable or straight up trash
>hey Bucky I know you're horrifically traumatized from a century of murder and brainwashing but you should be captain America while I go back to the past and bang Peggy lol
God that'd be such a horrible fricking choice, Sam was obviously the right option in the MCU
>traumatised people should curl up in a ball and never do anything remotely stressful again
This is not the clever point you think it is.
What’s Bucky doing now in the MCU? Oh yeah he’s in that Thunderbolts team. With a bunch of anti heroes. Truly a relaxing non violent job
>hey Bucky I know you're horrifically traumatized from a century of murder and brainwashing but you should be captain America
yes, that was the redemption arc for Bucky, is incredible you're so blind to not see that, being captain america will be perfect for him to claim agency over his own destiny
>Sam was obviously the right option in the MCU
why? explain
in the comics Sam was terrible as captain america and the only made him captain cuz Disney wanted a black captain america
Jeffery Mace was a better Captain America than Falcon
Patriot? i mean after steve he's been the one that had the mantle the most ime
bucky and USagent are cool
falcon is not. give him fricking mjolnir and he still wont be cool.
Lmao it can't get a second season but they can give it a movie
Well then, maybe he should have... done better.
He did fine. He can't control the writers.
He should still do better.
I'm confused why they didn't just make Falcon and the Winter Solider Cap 4 to begin with.
>Actor is disappointed he doesn't get a paycheck
>ruins your series
She wasn't the problem.
Sam defending her was the fricking problem.
It is un-fricking-fathomable how they could shred the Cap brand into oblivion instantly after Endgame.
The Russos directed 4 of the best superhero films ever made and they fricking gave Sam's first film to someone whose only credits are a utterly panned Cloverfield sequel and some woke arthouse garbage about a ex child soldier destroying his teacher's life because she busted his friend for drugs. AND it's being written by the "stop calling them terrorist" guy, likely the worst most cringy moment in MCU history.
Imagine what else they could have done...
> Bucky as Cap
> Bucky & Sam as dual Caps
> Frank Simpson / Nuke
> Bring Strucker back & give him a faithful design with the Satan Claw. He was perfectly cast & horribly wasted.
> Adapt the story with Zemo putting Bucky on trial for his Winter Soldier crimes at the top of the statue of liberty.
> Fighting The Man with No Face and a topical Chinese communist threat (China would not like the film anyway because of the black lead)
> Fighting The Winter Guard / Supreme Soviets in Ukraine.
> NOT have Buck/Sam act like deranged dicks to Walker.
> NOT have Sam sympathize with genocidal antifa stand-ins just because the b***h is multiracial.
Instead we are getting Sam molded into a fricking despicable far left lunatic fighting Trump stand ins & Hulk villains (1 who has not been seen since 2008 the other recast with a tired iconic actor dead certain to sleep walk through his role) without Bruce written/directed by some of the worst people possible.
>> Bring Strucker back & give him a faithful design with the Satan Claw. He was perfectly cast & horribly wasted.
Just faithfully adapt pic related with a darker green and make the claw & yellow chest piece glossy metallic gold.
>> Bucky & Sam as dual Caps
Add Walker.
>> Fighting The Winter Guard / Supreme Soviets in Ukraine.
Imagine this shit.
Have them battling in the ruins of Chernobyl.
WHAT WE WANTED...
You gotta do better, Anonymous.
I am proud of you. You finally did better.
WHAT WE GOT...
>make Bucky the white wolf with black panthers powers since the actor died
>have US Agent go though a cycle of failing to live up to Cap and deciding to not do better as a neutral antagonist-antihero glowie to the mainline team
retiring characters for a cycle that are "iconic" instead of raping their corpses for a few dollars more (and not getting them) should be obvious if they actually wanted to milk the current MCU for a few more years.
It feels like there was a goal shift after Wandavision fizzled in it's ending. People did like the slice of life "where are they now" low stakes stories of heroes who have had their biggest fight. Hell, it's why hawkeye almost worked. What they had no time for was the marvels, the enternals, we wuz shangz, and every other addition to the pantheon. Now it's too late to go back and make slice of life content about the heroes that are left.
Streaming shows are fricking garbage. They are never formatted or edited in any decent way. It is like a fricking movie stretched out for multiple hours with no satisfying parts. Comic book movies worked with a formula:
>Levity, action, good main character/hero, simple arc.
Streaming shows have a handful of trailer moments and then nothing else. Phase 4 2021-22 had a longer screentime than Phase 3 1-3 2008-19 put together because of these shows. Fear of missing out worked with 2-3 movies a year, shows feel like homework. Like please watch our 6 hour slog that will probably get ignored by a movie. Marvel have also done really badly at following teasers and plots from previous movies and stuff. It is all so tiresome.
Bucky becoming Captain America as his redemption arc seemed like such an obvious route to me I don’t get why they insisted on Sam being him other than him being black
Even in a basic logic sense. You need to be superhuman to be cap. Bucky is a supersoldier
So instead they… have Sam train in his backyard for a few days and now he’s strong enough to throw the shield hard enough to penetrate a fricking tree?
Likewise the morality of the whole thing was bizarre
>sam murders people and quips about it
>NOOOOO YOU CANT KILL A HECKIN SUPER TERRORIST THATS BAD, NOBODY WHO KILLS CAN BE CAPTAIN AMERICA
homie what? Cap killed people, so did you. Why is it not ok now?
At least Bucky could have his decision to refuse to be a killing machine mixed into a decision to be Captain America
Not to mention it's just insulting to downplay Falcon identity that Sam made for himself. Comic readers generally like Falcon. Always have. Heck they even had his name on Cap's book for like 100 issues back in the day. But he was his own hero. And saying OKAY YOU BE CAP is just insulting. I've been reading some older Avengers books and there was a time where tokenism was seen as as the insult it was.
what the frick happend?
The government guy in charge of the Avengers revoked their license to... Avenge unless they changed their public image. So they reduced the roster to 7, kicked out Hawkeye (he wasn't happy) and and pulled in Falcon because the team was too white (He wasn't happy either.) Cap managed to get him onboard because Cap's genuinely his friend and respects the guy but he didn't care of the principal and made sure the government guy knew it. There was even a funny bit where he was talking in a really over the top mammy accent
Modern black people live their tokenism. Hence why Black Panther is popular despite his solo movie being pretty mediocre.
>he thought a show like that was going to get a 2nd season
the new captain america, ladies and gentlemen!
I rather watch a Winter Soldier solo Disney+ series or solo movie of Winter Soldier going John Wick on all his former handlers.
They should've just shuffled Falcon into Black Panther.
Bucky could've done his own thing. Maybe some Jason Bourne style shit, I dunno.
I wish they'd gotten someone jacked to play Walker. Maybe like Alan Ritchson. I think he could've done alright in the role.
>Alan Ritchson
he can play Nuke
Vulture did Falcons gimmick better then him
