It was just their gaming division. It fell through because WB didn't want to actually sell the videogame rights to any of their licensed stuff, so M$ would've been paying billions for a few studios, the Mortal Kombat IP and that's about it.
>M$
lol this reeks of Gen X nerd. Isn't aple more valuable these days?

>Microsoft >buying Valve >from Gabe who doesn't like his old employer >from Gabe who is almost single-handedly funding Linux gaming to give Microsoft the finger
lol
This is just the execs creaming themselves in their pipe dream
WB was the only one that was feasible, Gabe isn't giving up Valve and the Steam money train and Japan isn't approving any sale of one of their most notable companies to foreigners
All they would have to do is push a MS update that blocks steam as a core OS "feature". Sure it could be circumvented but 90% of people won't know how and Steam's value craters in the meantime.
No. Microdicks totally kill everything they touch. They don't make anything, only buyout and destroy other things so other things can't succeed them , thats how they operate.
They can under certain circumstances. Microsoft already owns a Japanese developer but that was from the Zenimax buyout. The real hurdle is antitrust issues. You thought the EA thing was a hassle for Microsoft then buying Nintendo would be even worse because they're a platform maker as well.
Everybody knows about the Nintendo attempt, it happened during the dawn of the sixth generation. Allegedly, Yamauchi laughed at the proposition and told them to get out of his office.
Couldn’t be worse than AT&T and Discovery.
Honestly, this. Like christ how do you fuck that up as bad as they did
Shit if anything it could've meant that we would be getting a lot more good DC games
>M$ would have DC while Sony would have Marvel hostage thanks to Spider-Man
would be interesting if console wars were still fun
>M$

>How dare you call THE SECOND most rich company in the planet rich???
Dude, easy on the autism
Would Microsoft even want to make movies? AT&T realized how expensive and pointless it was and sold WB to Discovery.

Wonder how the games would be like

Pretty sure that's illegal

Imagine microtransactions and a subscription fee for DC Comics.
Because Microsoft 100% guaranteed would implement both of those things.
these fuckers fumbled Halo and the xbone
Japan would never allow it. Nintendo as a prepped War Chest so they can even go fallow for a Generation if needed.
>career moment is just buying something more successful than you with daddy microsofts money
I didn't think foreign companies could buy out Japanese companies.

>millions of gaijins unironically believe this
WB? Maybe, they are going down the shitter. Though I doubt they will be able to get that approved by the courts.
VALVE and NINTENDO? All the executives at both companies have to be laughing their asses off as much as I am right now.
Everybody knows about the Nintendo attempt, it happened during the dawn of the sixth generation. Allegedly, Yamauchi laughed at the proposition and told them to get out of his office.
Why is this causing so many waves? I've grew up with rumors about Microsoft wanting to buy EA, Nintendo and so on. They never do.
Leaks are a big deal in the game industry.
Yeah but it's leaks of conversations they probably have all the time. It's worthless.
