>a CyberConnect2 shitfest of a game
literally: what
also: no, can't say that I would be interested
No. CC2 makes anime as frick fighting games and it’s awful. Just make a normal 2D fighting game.
bandai aint gonna hire arc systemworks.
they did make the best anime fighter ever tho
DBFZ says hi. If ArcSys can do Dragon Ball they can do Kamen Rider
Final Bout is the superior DB fighting experience.
What's the difference between anime and normal Fighting games?
He's referring to fanservice games. Things like Budokai or Ultimate Ninja. They aren't designed to be balanced, they're just meant to include as many show references as they can manage. The main features of the games are the story modes and galleries. A "normal" fighting game has thought put into the systems and moves to try and make a cohesive competitive experience. Dragonball FighterZ or Jojo Heritage of the Future for example, they have references to the source material, but they aren't slaves to it at the expense of game design.
Yeah, I love how in Super Climax Heroes you can select which playstyle for the Rider be it multiple forms, summoning or final forms.
A proper balanced fighting game would omit that, hell you could argue Climax Fighters tried to do that which is why it felt barebones.
tbh I'd personally want a new Ultraman fighting game.
Would be nice if they kept OOO so he can change specific thirds like in SCH
>Heritage for the Future
>balanced
Give us Eighting again and give 'em a decent budget
would be nice, loved playing super climax with friends as a dumb fighting game
If not them get the team who made Battle for the Grid.
Because they can be fun if mindless.
A Toei tokusatsu fighting game by Eighting would be the dream, make it play pretty much exactly like Tatsunoko vs Capcom and have a 30ish character roster.
I want the Yakuza devs to do a Rider or Sentai game.
I could see them slapping on a W skin on a Judgement game if Johnny's still won't allow them to use Kimura for the next game.
I could see a The Great Battle in the form of Yakuza-style beat-em-up.
musou rider games were better
Cant play it drunk in a 1v1
What do you think of a Dynasty Riders game?
Musou games were garbage. Amount of options and moves for heroes went down significantly. You could do some coolass juggling shit with Gills or Delta in Super Climax Heroes. in Battride you can't even change into mixed W or OOO forms with jumping through the hoops.
>some coolass juggling shit with Gills or Delta
Can't believe I also forgot to mention Wizard.
Remembering Hurricane Dragon basically flying on the stage, delivering some of the longest combos in the game and comparing it to just how boring he became in musou games is just tragic.
Most of CC2's original games are /m/ related, but they've never been handed an /m/ licensed property so who knows. Also if you think all they make are shitfests why would you even want something from them?
You guys considered this one good?
I thought it was pretty shitty even by kusoge standards.
I rather take a well-done musou clone than a fighting game honestly.
Id rather chill with friends and mash buttons while doing the finisher move poses drunk
I want Memory of Heroes except good
I just want Super Climax Heroes but with newer riders
What was wrong with Memory of Heroes? I haven’t gotten around to playing it
Which one is in charge of providing the license to develop the games? Bandai or Toei?
I wish ArcSys would do Kamen Rider. Or hell, even Ultraman.
Plus could be a prime opportunity for them to market KR or Ultraman through an even wider audience.
I'd be hyped to see an all-Toei tokusatsu or a Compati Hero fighting game.
Probably Toei, but Bandai would be publisher if Dragon Ball Fighterz is anything to go by
>CyberConnect2
>Tail Concerto, Solatorobo, Fuga
all /m/
>Silent Bomber, Asura's Wrath
also /m/
>.hack
also maybe sort of kind of /m/
you know if you ignore the licensed animu games they put out to pay the bills, they kind of our guys
>.hack
I’m still mad about how they announced nothing of worth for the 20th anniversary
I mean, they clearly are only interested in their own works, they only see licensed games as a means to an end to fund their furry magazines
Yes.
I've played CC2 Naruto and JoJo ASB games. They weren't balanced at all but were fun, feature-heavy and had plenty of variety.
So yeah, good choice for making a Rider game.
Eighting games always were much tamer than they could have been. they really lacked dynamic gameplay.
