but if every ai generated film reached that same standard would it not becoming meaningless after a while?

AI will become omniscient, aka unlimited creativity, kinos forever.

        Don't be so negative, bro.

kind of like how every person with a camera in their pocket made photographers meaningless. People still look at bad pictures with filters.

AI will become omniscient, aka unlimited creativity, kinos forever.

        Don't be so negative, bro.

even if it is missing like 60% creativity there will be so many more people dedicating themselves to this craft that a kino awakening is all but certain.

First will come the parodies like Harry Potter and the Deadly Weapons and next will be better mannerisms of more likeable people who should have been cast. Chrome Lords is a while off.

Why would I care? A good movie is a good movie no matter who makes it. Just have to suspend your disbelief a little bit.

    >would you care if a movie is completely ai generated if it was one of the best films you've ever seen?
what does "completely" mean? Like literally the video output from some model?
If its the best movie i have ever seen then i wouldnt complain obviously but if that is actually possible one day i wouldnt want a movie but a type of game or interactive thing. Other than that knowing that AI isnt putting much thought behind the "art" would cheapen it a little, but most humans dont know what they are doing too so it wouldnt be that bad.

I'm looking forward to exactly that.

also the ability to have a shot-for-shot remake of fight club except every character is a 12 year old girl.

    >wait wait just download 100GB+ of this other shit to fine tune
    >wait wait wait now download 10GB+ more for the model
    >wait wait wait wait now you have to prompt, clipskip, adjust knobs and gizmos
    >wait now you gotta photoshop it and use blender
    >wait wait wait wait wait now you gotta inpaint and then send it back to photoshop and repeat other steps

It's amazing to think the future of media is to ask an AI to generate a new movie/song/cartoon and it does so, no need to browse a catalogue of known movies. People could rate their new movies and others can watch them and they are all ranked on a database from best rated to worst. An inifinite supply of kino and the death of the movie/music/animation/writing industries. Beautiful.

Yes because what drives creative endeavors is the human element of expression. If you know something is being done purely for money or any other motive besides human expression, you're immediately turned off by it and that's what AI created anything is.

Reminds me of what woke does, a spec of shit makes the whole meal inedible. They just like knowing you ate shit.
But with ai movies a decent creative can express themselves without needing to jump through nepo/woke hoops. The fact no humans "agreed" to spend 2 weeks acting effort to help him express himself means nothing because after watching people will wish or believe human's would have helped him achieve it so that makes it retroactively soulful.

This is the ideal form of AI to me, when it's full of errors that make it charming and funny. It's the way static image generation used to be. Once video gets better people will forget about this stage and never look back and instead we'll become accustomed to "normal"-looking video again. Yeah, it will be technically impressive but it will no longer be unique.

highly debatable. What would AI recognize as the best film ever and how would it know how to beat it?

the problem with the ai creations, kinda like with human writers, is that the product is tied to a studio that will for sure limit its full potential and creativity because of their moronic business ideas, they might be able to cook a full script in a matter of minutes but if the inputs are like the shit we saw during the sony leaks, it wouldn't be that much different from what we have been getting.

the open source ones don't hit the same level of quality of the privately financed ones, companies like disney, Amazon or apple are already hiring ai experts to create them to be focused on their products

          >stable diffusion is released, open source

          h-haha total c-coincidence amirite

It's more accurate to say one of them is open source- Stable Diffusion, and that was more of a quirk of fate since it got leaked and the guy decided to just accept the fortune of receiving tons of open source contributions. The success was purely a coincidence as the very next version released attempted to remove nudity and people kept using the older version (1.5) to this day.
Most of the images people share about hypothetical movies (generally with a a 70s/80s camera filter applied) is made from closed source stuff like DALL-E and that includes OP's image. Studios will be creating their own models and it will be an occupation to create, maintain and manage them
