Yes because that's me and I haven't watched any of the other new shows but Andor was great.

My dad doesn't really like Star Wars at all outside of the OT and even then he's lukewarm about them. He prefers hard sci-fi. Isaac Asimov and so on, but I managed to convince him to watch Andor and he was greatly fond of it.

What makes Andor work is that it's a spy-thriller-action series that uses Star Wars as the window dressing. In fact, I would argue that to someone unaware of Star Wars this would just be "cool sci-fi show" to them and they'd have no idea it was related Star Wars.

OP here, I just watched the first episode. I fear for the rest of Disney Wars lineup if this was the best they are offering.

If this wasn't Star Wars brand, it would air 3 eps on CBS and then get cancelled.

I believe you but I don't think I have it in me to dedicate myself to watching all of it.

        >we are informed that the main character is a womanizer (even if the actors appearance and demeanour are bland)
        >he is bad but not really, you can feel he has a heart of gold
        >badass woman
        >cutesy robot

I sometimes feel that AI is writing all of this from prompts.

Andor is the worst thing Disney has made with the IP yet don't let anyone tell you different

I would say it's pretty inoffensive unless you really hate lesbians. It has nothing to do with the sequels at all and all the stronk women have major character flaws, everyone does really. The Empire is also portrayed as something that's actually oppressive and something that would warrant a violent rebellion.

It's really not star wars at all, but the franchise was so desperately in need of good acting and good production values that it's still my favorite Stat wars entry in 20 years

Star wars was always "the highest budget B movie" sorry you don't get it, yes I want to see space wizards shoot lightning that's the whole point. Why don't you go make your own series not banking on the space wizard lazer sword series gays?

I liked the first two episodes because it had a refreshingly good approach and wasn't just style over substance like rogue one - unfortunately by ep 4 the writing was starting to feel masturbatory and I didn't care about any of the characters so dropped it

I wouldn't. If that person ends up liking Andor somehow, then they'll get curious and look into the other SW content that's come out in recent years. Which is a bad idea because 90% of that content is shit.
