You get a$10,000 dollar bonus after a two year contract. Plus base pay.
How's the pay?
It would have to be salary right? You're literally on the clock all the time. It's not as if you can get to go on leave. It'd be a little like boot camp how you stay on base so you really don't have shit to spend money on.
As long as I get my own sleeping quarters I'd be down.
Can I bring my cat?
And this. I'd need like a stress relief pet. Sounds stupid but I'd want to get away from the crew wifi being by myself.
I think about this a little too often. I work in a warehouse and one day I thought about how in the future warehouses are just going to be big ass freightships transporting gods from spacestations to planets and whatnot.
>survives while the rest of the crew dies inlcuding ripley on fury
that motherfricker took all the bonus and is living it up on some beach with some cat nip and free pussy

It's called the Jones Act. Trade to America must be done on American ships by American workers. There's obviously angry little israelites trying to change it like always to indeed flood it with people they won't pay and won't give benefits.

It ain't happening. Space dreams are long dead. Any sort of project involving space is going to be big and complex enough to require a shit ton of people, and what comes with that now? I despise that Weyland Yutani became like Umbrella. This super duper evil organization that somehow is still around always making money but even centuries in the future is still trying and failing hundreds of times to get the alien for some "bioweapon". Aliens had it correct in making them just a generic company again, and only some of the individual executives were scummy wanting to get a payday for themselves.
There are other companies to be a space trucker for and other interesting worlds in the alienverse.
It's from 'Alien the Roleplaying Game'. Sadly they've decided that every movie in the alienverse needs to have Weyland Yutani and the Xenomorph and nothing else even though there room for so much more. At least Alien Isolation brought in the new company Seegson.
That's a tough question since there are a ton of them and Alien has been split into multiple canons. This should be a helpful list to start:

Nightmare Asylum was great. It's the only story that did controlled xenomorphs well.

It do be like that. From what I read about the fireteam devs who did the story writing they were essentially given guidelines about what they could include or not include in their game in reference to other movies or games in the alien universe and the isolation stuff is now part of that. They are still limited in what they can expand on it, everything had to go through an approval process but they were allowed to use the company name and working Joes as well as one or two other things from isolation's story. It's like a design Bible of sorts.

One of the interesting things about the alien universe is that the tabletop game wrote in an entire space cold war between future america and a unified communist bloc, which basically serves to explain where the demand for bioweapons is coming from, and further emphasize the 70s-80s retrofuturism.

No Isolation 2 is pretty much a blessing in disguise. From Alien Blackout, they have no further story and their ideas for anything are REALLY bad. The character Amanda should be retired and her story ended satisfactory as-is. They then have every opportunity to make a new character to lead another game with similar play as Isolation and a new story set after Aliens. But we know they'd just stick with Amanda and it'd be "then she fought xenomorphs over and over for years dozens of times even if it doesn't make a lick of sense"

maybe try playing it on hard, you amateur. Also kino scene and game
You say that, but in year of our Lord 2023 we're already seeing companies merge and get bought or absorbed. In just 50 years we'll have like 5-10 companies left running everything. Weyland-Yutani being an expansive megacorp is not only realistic, but maybe even too lenient in its prediction.
It was always probably just a few of them in either of the first two movies. Everything after that is just stupid nonsense but we never find out who compelled Mother and Ash to prioritize the alien. The people we meet in the board room meeting are probably what most of WY were like. They were just businessmen, not even particularly cold or cruel, they just had a job to do and no reason whatsoever to believe Ripley's story when she was on the hook for destroying an entire ship. Why would they believe some convenient alien story to excuse her losing the ship as the XO? Noone in that universe had ever seen an alien before.
Pay attention to the movie. They replaced the regular science officer with Ash that one time because they had detected an unknown signal in the area the ship would be going to. They wanted to ensure whatever happened that they would get any discovered lifeform brought back. The majority of the time there aren't any androids on board. Of course, Ash ended up being shit at his job and letting it hatch instead of freezing Kane.
Probably at least some of Ash's bizarre behavior was it malfunctioning from being compelled by Mother and whomever sent it to disobey the 3 laws. It's clearly struggling to hold it together the entire movie and grows incredibly disturbed.
>those square hogs >those killer female cyborgs >that breacher M16 >all those cans of beer
I did not expect much out of the movie, but i enjoyed it very very much.
Absolutely. I would never want to be a trucker on the ground because of having to worry about traffic and shit. I've backed up boats the size of the 18 wheelers when I worked at a marina (on land for winter) and it was just stressful as frick despite being able to do it in a small tractor.
The guy with the huge vhs camera needs edited to holding his personal 'android' phone. Yes in future, tis oke to use Android phone because waifu are android. See Ripley went to be strong woman in space. Cause we dont need her at home, Single mother who leave her daughter alone yrs at time......
the crews in these movies get dumber and dumber with each film, I would only be down to be on a Nostromo tier vessel. The stupidity and ineptitude of the guys and gals from Alien Covenant (beside the main chick) was off the charts.
>have all the research, planning, tools, etc etc to colonize a specific planet >land on random green planet under suspicious circumstances >within 5 minutes say shit like "look at this beauty! lets live here! have faith"
im not the type to really care about plot nuances or plot holes or whatever like most of the autists on here but that shit was too dumb for even me. at least they had the main character 'Ripley version 3' voice how stupid it was. She actually wasn't even a bad character, better than Shaw but didn't have the on screen charisma of Sigourney or Noomi.
I think it was mostly out of fear of being burned alive in their cryo pods like with what happened to the captain. The crew didn't seem too keen on settling there. Only the 2nd in command who took over. Everyone else just wanted a break to stretch their legs and not jump right back into the pods.
Why was Isolation such a good game? It just kept going on forever I didn’t want it to stop. I want to replay it but remember how lost I was before running into the alien and I chicken out.

It captured the look and feel of the original movie perfectly. They put in everything the audience loved about the film in a plausible new scenario. They did great with the alien, and it was terrifying. The sounds were top notch. Plus all the new stuff they added went perfectly and respected the lore. I'd only wish they'd fleshed out some of the side characters more.
where could you possibly take the alien from here? Hasn't everything been done with already >egg, chestburster, alien, queen

Androids there to 'accident' you - because dead crew and cargo on time > any hit to the huge profits involved - is a plausible scenario even without the Xenomorph or rogue HAL 2001 AI.

space hospital sounds reasonable.
Shuttle pilot or space hospital. Either is alright. Colonial marine? Nah.

No, piss would be normal, just like their slime that they leave everywhere.
An acidic pussy would be a wonderful defense mechanism now that I think about it.
Xenomorphs are better with digitigrade legs.
I disagree. It makes the rest of the body look small.
That's good. Because then it's also tall. And otherwise it looks like a puny little human with a giant head. And very unscary.

They made it into a mini-movie if you want to watch the story that way. It's obviously not as scary. It has a few new scenes though

Now all the big companies are in a race to find any new source of xenomorph eggs or information of the origin of the space jockeys. There could be intercompany warfare with ships fighting each other over distant planets. There could be pirates/scavengers running across derelict human ships that captured xeno eggs. One of the companies could successfully get some of the aliens and bring them back to an inhabited planet.
It's because they are a bunch of under achieving losers, there's no bonus.
I’ll sign up, but can we discuss the situation?
You can be a Space Sheriff.
