Same anon. I swear i will be on my deathbed and the doctor who is about administer my lethal dosage of morphine will be named dr. Fritz or something. A final Mr.F
I had a weird feeling when I started Season 4. There were much fewer jokes per minute and the episodes seemed to stretch too long. Each individual scene stretched for far too long. Also Tobias, my poor man, what did they do to him? Seasons 1-3 had him be the butt of the joke but mostly because of his own dumb decisions but in Season 4 the showrunners seemed to have a sociopathic fixation with watching him get hurt.
I never liked this trope, hell, I've always hated this trope where a character receives bullying or abuse that would border on criminal and we the audience are supposed to laugh. For example, parks and rec had Jerry being abused by his coworkers (ahaha, the latina b***h put his epi pen under a bowl of nuts, hahaha, when the characters have a hat to sort doing bathroom duty in the park they put Jerry's name inside, because frick him!).
In Season 4, the first time I remember seeing Tobias was when he got inside the Chris hansen sting operation, some cop tackles him, bashes his head and we see a very graphic stream of blood jump on the wall.
no, season 3 works as a finale, however loose. just take it as michael and jr escaping from the repetitive chaos of the family who will eventually completely self destruct
The original cut is actually great as a whole, the remix is unwatchable with the excess narration that ruins jokes and has to do constant exposition to keep the story in order
Like a lot of shows they aware on the original pitch then the writers cannot help but self insert. Hurwitz admitted this (but said it was his wife's family). TV Tropes once had a very popular "you have got to have israelites" section but they had it removed because it was antisemitic and therefore untrue.
Reminder that when Michael asks T-Bone if he burnt down the storage unit, Patrice says "Almost definitely" because that's a funnier line and quite literally what he says.
People who claim he says "Oh, most definitely." need brain exams.
Try ebooks. Retail, straight from Amazon, with some blatantly obvious errors. It makes me think no one even bothers to proofread these things anymore, or if they do, it's while drinking whisky or something.
>Nobody checks the subtitles to see that they're correct or gives a shit on any platform.
Sadly, it seems to be the case. Ironically, the best sub files often come from subtitles.org, when some motivated person spends time correcting all the errors—OCR errors and otherwise.
>"I don't like the name George Michael anymore" >"Why not?" >News: "George Michael was arrested for indecent behaviour in a public restroom" >"No reason" >"Well, we can't call you George, that's your pop-pop. Maybe we can start calling you Boy George!" >News: "Boy George was arrested last night for sexual assault in a public restroom." >"You know what, I think I will stick with George Michael... at least it was consensual..."

Manager. We just say "manager."
But you...
Doesn't matter why.
It was disgusting how fast he let power get to his head
Just binged this, dunno if I'm just nostalgic for my own childhood but Gob and George Michael had the best dynamic in the show.
It's a good manzai performance, even if the kid is a chronic pot smoker
Solid as a rock!
I'm not sure how the catchphrase "Solid as a rock" helps people forget we were building houses in Iraq.
Took me years to figure out that's an actual pop song from the 80s
>daddy needs to get his rocks off
GOTHIC ASSTLE?

Am I the only one that pretends seasons 1, 2 and 3 are the only ones that exist?
Where i stop on rewatches
After the show's original cancelation
Sign of autism
A few episodes into season 4 made me stop, I didn't even bother with season 5. 1-3 are the true seasons and the show wrapped up nicely
You're wiser than I. I slogged all the way through season 4, and the first 3 episodes of season 5 before I pulled the plug.

Season 4 is honestly good. I like the original cut too
Season 5 though... Nah
The original cut is actually great as a whole, the remix is unwatchable with the excess narration that ruins jokes and has to do constant exposition to keep the story in order
I agree season 4 was a fine comeback that shoulda been one and done. The remix is unwatchable.
I've never even watched season 4. If you haven't figured this out by now then you can't be helped.
This whole pretending bad seasons of shows didn't exist is really gay it's not funny or cute
Gob hate criming george micheals egyptian class mate during the school election will always be my favorite moment
>Whoa, bumpy road ahead.

Am I really supposed to believe this family wasn't meant to be israeli? Was actually shocked when they weren't
they're wasp

>TV Tropes once had
It's still there, just renamed under "A Nice israeli Index"
Well George converted
jews don't get prison time, and they're malicious. Bluths were just stupid.
Jessica Walter's brother is the most stereotypical looking israelite who ever lived.

Jews would never write themselves in such a candid or demeaning way. Only for the goyim.
have you ever heard of Curb your Enthusiasm?
They're WASP's. Lucille is a good old fashioned anti-semite.
>Your father is religious now?
>Yeah.
>We'll play that up, it's very sympathetic.
>Yeah, who doesn't love the israelites?
>incest jokes
>constant gay/sexual jokes
>jokes about roofying people
>mocking methadone addicts
Yeah i'm thinking peak israeli degeneracy mixed with nonstop reddit jokes. Awful show.
What's your favorite show, character?
It somehow wasn't as overt as the same jokes in sunny in Philadelphia.
he's going to be all right
>YOUR PENNIES... HAVE BEEN IN MY ASS
UCB was a great show, and he was great in it. He was funnier when he was a slimmer man.
Reminder that when Michael asks T-Bone if he burnt down the storage unit, Patrice says "Almost definitely" because that's a funnier line and quite literally what he says.
People who claim he says "Oh, most definitely." need brain exams.
frick off Chris and take your meds
I bet you're an "oh they're tired" gay too aren't ya
it's 'overtired'
This can easily be confirmed with a (legit) copy of the dvd with subtitles enabled.
Possibly, but I've seen some glaring errors in subtitles on DVDs.
Try ebooks. Retail, straight from Amazon, with some blatantly obvious errors. It makes me think no one even bothers to proofread these things anymore, or if they do, it's while drinking whisky or something.
I've bet you seen some glaring numbers of red cars following you too
I have no idea what you're on about?
maybe you shouldn't buy the ones out of that chink's boot in the DMV parking lot.
I'm talking about legit feature film DVDs, borrowed from the library.
Netflix's subtitles for Community's opening song is written as "Give me some rope, tie me to dream" rather than "Give me some more time in a dream".
Disney+'s subtitles for the Alway's Sunny episode "Mac Day" has Frank subtitled as say "Alright, pee Country Mac" rather than "RIP Country Mac"
Nobody checks the subtitles to see that they're correct or gives a shit on any platform.

>subtitles.org
Oops. Frick that site. I meant subscene.org
Just get the scripts from springfieldspringfield
Oh shit, that is a much more clever joke. But weirdly "oh most definitely" is still funny, just in a different way.
Her?
Which order to watch season 4, I've seen both once and they're both middling, but which one should I go next rewatch
>"I don't like the name George Michael anymore"
>"Why not?"
>News: "George Michael was arrested for indecent behaviour in a public restroom"
>"No reason"
>"Well, we can't call you George, that's your pop-pop. Maybe we can start calling you Boy George!"
>News: "Boy George was arrested last night for sexual assault in a public restroom."
>"You know what, I think I will stick with George Michael... at least it was consensual..."
And the fake name he picked later (George maharis) was also a guy that got busted for gay sex in a restroom in the 50’s.
I don't understand the thread and I won't respond to it.
Her?
Egg?
Wait so it's okay to like AD on Cinemaphile now? It's not reddit anymore?
I was watching AD when it was popular on SomethingAwful
My homie, I remember the halcyon days of 2004.
Cinemaphile has always been an AD board, stupid c**t
2023 Cinemaphile is 2012 reddit
>a husband and wife can't be tried for the same crime!
