Wow, season 6 blows hard. They now entered the paranormal monsters territory. A fricking werewolf and some demon shit? What happened?

Writers strike probably. Maybe a few too many diversity hires also
Only two episodes stayed true to the Black Mirror formula (Joan is Awful and Beyond the Sea).
That makes 60% of the season being trash. Fricking frick.
Loch Henry is very much a typical Black Mirror episode, it’s just that the man made technological horror beyond our comprehension doesn’t come in until the very end of the episode, and it turns out the technological horror is Netflix[spoiler]
to be frank, i could only stomach 10 minutes of that episode...white twink manlet dates ugly typical ghetto black chick...that was enough for me and the only thing that was missing was a huge BLM banner.
Man you really don't have to scratch deep to understand how little the tv matters on Cinemaphile.
Get a more interesting opinion.
>Loch Henry is very much a typical Black Mirror episode
Race-mixed couples make me click "next".
i don't care so much about interracial couples if the cast look like normal human beings and somewhat decent
the cast in loch henry though? big fricking yikes
True, the no eyebrow wtf definately threw me off. I dont mind interracial couples in movies/shows either as long as its actually believable.
As a white guy who has dated black chicks before I can tell you that they do some weird shit, but damn..that pussy..
redpill me on this series.
Never watched any, are they worth watching and if so which ones?
Are there any ones that are so shit I should avoid?
> are they worth watching
No
It's good if you like pessimestic/realist dystopian future sci-fi psycho thriller. The early seasons are mostly good but the later season are hit and miss. Some woke shit included but it's not that bad (interracial couples, lesbian and gay couples...but it's to be expected nowadays). Latest season only has two good episodes (Beyond the sea and Joan is awful).
>like pessimestic/realist dystopian future sci-fi psycho thriller.
I suppose that stuff is OK for me.
I will DL the first 2 seasons and see if anything is worth a watch and go from there
First 4 seasons are good with season 3 being the peak i m o.
My favs:
The Entire History of You
White Christmas
White Bear
Be right back
San Junipero
USS Callister (<- peak - the best episode of all season).
Hang the DJ
I just watched the first episode, where the guy was supposed to frick a pig.
I was like....wtf, I have seen more weirder shit just browsing the /b/.
I mean frick sake, limewire had me seeing all sort of sick shit, how was that bad.
that's absolutely a weaker episode. the first few seasons are hit and miss. mostly hits though. later seasons are mostly misses.
I will carry on, gonna watch second episode now
Most of Black Mirror is either shit or bleak as frick.
You'd be better off not bothering with it.
99% of people on this planet don't lurk on Cinemaphile
This statement would be true if it were still 2007.
>but it’s to be expected nowadays
Then just don’t watch content made “nowadays.” Are you so addicted to the steady stream of israelited goyslop that you can’t be content with the countless movies and shows made before it got this bad?
100% watch White Christmas at least
nope
season 1 and 2 and the Christmas Special are good because they are made by a UK company. The episodes are brilliant, but very disturbing and dystopian, they deal with present or theoretical future technology that could be used to harm people. Such as a paedophile being caught by his web cam and being forced to carry out instructions by hackers, to a guy being forced to spend 100 million years inside a computer (which actually could soon be a reality).
Then an American Company took over and it began going downhill, there are still some good episodes. Season 5 is trash. I haven't seen enough of season 6 to comment.
I just watched episode 2 of season 1 and it was cancer, I skipped half of it and read the synopsis.
All I can remember about season 5 was the video game homosexualry. And yeah I did notice it was made better by Brits
yes it's good if you ignore all the pozzedness and the last seasons
Brooker seems emasculated and uninspired. This season is a shark jumping embarrassment for him
>the fricking werewolf
OH NONONONONONO
what was this shit anyway? it made NO SENSE her turning into a werewolf all of a sudden...she killed some dude by hit and run, struggles with trauma, goes to clinic and then BOOM she turns into a werewolf...
this episode made NO FRICKING SENSE
She hit a werewolf, that’s when she turned. There was a very short flashback, you blinked, you missed it.
Joan is Awful - I actually liked this one.
Lock Henry - didn't like the cast so skipped it.
Beyond the Sea - got bored with this - no idea how it ended.
Mazey Day - stupid but the very last thing that happens was kino.
Demon 79 - the fantastic 70s aesthetic made this watchable despite the multicuturalism. What was obviously intended as a critique of racism and the National Front inadvertently had the opposite effect.
I dont season 6 was bad. Loch Henry and Mazy Day werent that good but I liked the rest. Beyond the sea and Demon 79 were most were my favies.
>RA RA RASPUTIIINE
>What was obviously intended as a critique of racism and the National Front inadvertently had the opposite effect.
lol i thought the same
"non-white woman smells bad and kills white people"
it's basically depicting reality in the west with so many knife attacks by non-whites in europe
in fact an eritrian refugee just got sentenced to life in prison in german for kniving and killing a 14 year old girl
I thought this show what supposed to be near-future horror involving future technology why are they doing stuff in the frickinf 1970's now
Werent the stories in each season somehow interconnected? When did that stop? Season 5?
It's been speculated that there's an overarching canon universe - but mostly it's just the directors putting in some references/easter eggs for the fans.
for example in the latest season in episode "Joan is awful" you can see Joan browse though "Streamberry" (aka Netflix) and scrolling past a show called "Loch Henry" which is another episode of season 6. Little things like that...i wouldn't think too hard about it.
Also it's not just future or near future stuff, it's basically alternate universes with different timelines. the fact they now added paranormal monster shit worries me though
I seem to remember it being bigger than that in earlier seasons, like characters and events that directly affected the stories of other episodes
Demon 79 was a failed pilot for a spinoff that would have went in a supernatural horror direction instead of dystopian sci-fi. That's why it's labeled Red Mirror instead of Black Mirror.
Even if it may not be as good as other seasons I still think Black Mirror is still way better that 90% of the slop that is being generated nowadays.
And Zazie Beetz is a qt
I am more of a Annie Murphy guy, but you do you.
The world needs doctors and ditch-diggers alike.
>What happened?
they are putting under the rug the fact that reality has become the dystopia
media used to talk more about banks and finance and they don't anymore
same with forest being cut, overfishing, pollution, industrial agriculture, ozone layer, kids having fricked up childhoods and education, or too much TV lol, etc...
BLM and Ukraine is so much more important
Fun fact. The demon79 girl was one of the sea of tranquility fans in the episode with Bryce Dallas Howard.
Also I'd bang her.
And Bryce Dallas Howard.
And I hate fat people.
4 fun facts for the price of 1.
Someone tells me when it gets good?
I rewatched the series last week. The earlier seasons are a bit more serious toned and yeah the later seasons get more pop and ironic. I did like the demon episode but it doesnt fit much as a Black Mirror story. I would be up for a Red Mirror series though.
>People on this thread hating on Loch Henry
>Literally the only good episode in season 6
maybe that is the case, but i can't watch it due to the cast...i just don't sympathize nor identify with an ugly twink manlet dating a ghetto bird and i literally don't care about their story
I watched the first three episodes and they were all fricking garbage, so I'm not wasting my time watching the other two.
It fricking baffles me that lots of people are giving it good ratings. Just how fricking low have people standards fallen? Truly mindless consumers.
Me too anon but I skipped most of the second episode and basically skipped all.
I read the synopsis for the next season and 1 of the season 3 and decided it sounds shit
Went overboard with the Woke Anti-White messages.
