It's generic, but it's not bad.
I found it pretty unique but bad.
Unique how? Was it your first dystopia?
it was unique in how stupid lucas is.
>computer man preaches capitalism and spending
>everyone dresses the same, has few possessions and no hair
is georgie boy moronic?
*ding*
That's pretty true to life
>everybody is medicated.
>obedience to the state is the new religion.
>under surveillance at all time.
Its all so far fetched.
left looks like wojack
Ironic considering how asshurt Americans seem to get regarding their own elections. Two in a row where one side just can’t seem to cope and screams to the heavens that the system has failed. Each time it was the opposite side, too. And yet every fricking week, there’s a post from a pseud like you saying that the le sheeple are sheeple. Just kys now and save us all the trouble. I’ve even got a rope you can use.
every system in the world in controlled and just as moronic, dont think otherwise
>may the blessings of the state be with you.
>under surveillance at all time
How does he jerk off?
with a machine.
You’ve never seen the film, lol.
Yes that's why I asked.
he could've, the masturbation machine scene wasn't in the original version.
It had pretty good satire of consumerism
>guy gets off work
>buys a red plastic cube
>tosses it in the trash immediately after getting home
>repeats this every day
capitalism is the vehicle that leads to communism, absolute indulgence will springboard civilization into decadence and infantilism.
Dude, people tried to imitate him ad nauseam. This film was released in 1973. Nothing looked like this ever before.
I absolutely love it, but I grew up with it. I have a far deeper connection to it than Star Wars. A dystopian society ruled not by an evil dictator, but by common sentiment and the emptiness of living within it, as a meaningless, soulless numbered worker. That society and everyone in it forcing you, crushing you, stripping you, all to be just like them. The faceless droning authority figures sent "to help you". The promise of escape to the outside world, away from civilization, to the sun and open skies.
I rarely get mad at movies but ffs, this homosexual ALSO digitally changed this movie in 2004 and that's the fricking version I watched without knowing, thank you so much George you insufferable autist idiot stupid dumb frick
its actually an improvement in this case. all the CGI replaced was unfocused/slow/panning shots while george lucas read the script. there's still a scene like this when they're torturing duvall on the monitor.
This is the only decent move Lucas made. It even had BBC.
lmao, you are a homosexual.
fricking thank you.
nothing broadcast low-tier midwit more than someone saying:
>george lucas isn't actually that bad, just watch thx 1138
Nothing broadcasts an actual midwit more than the use of the term "midwit"
you sure told me, and you don't sound like a coping tastelet at all
I haven't even seen the film, just tired of morons using that word to pretend they're 6 gorillon iq geniuses
no you see, its popular because its an "insult" for people smarter than them.
Filtered.
Watch the making of, maybe it will change your mind.
He has no mind to change, he is lost beyond hope. A robot to the end.
go back
Daily reminder that the first Star Wars movie was a complete disaster until Lucas' friends came over and re-edited it.
you mean until his wife who was working alongside him the entire time edited it moron, and she still worked with stuff Lucas created, just had it stitched together in a more efficient way.
*Blows the frick out of THX*
nothing personal, kid
american graffiti is kino tho wym
The original Stars War trilogy was popular, not good or artistic. Does it really surprise you?
artistic =/= unique or different, shithead
It has nice designs, but there is no good story or drama, it's just a tech demo.
imagine not loving thx
you people are literal tasteless goblins
>Increase production
>Prevent accidents
>Work hard and buy more
>Be happy
THX and Demolition Man are the most hauntingly accurate portrayal of the future we would inherit
