>TRILLIONS MUST DIE
I think people are forgetting what infinite universes means.
It literally doesn't mean anything because a mathematical concept like "infinite" is incompatible with material reality.
b-but my science man said the universe is ever expanding and doesnt end!
material reality is not reality
>my idea is more real than reality
Why are philosophers suck cucks?
can someone explain this like I didn't see the movie and have no idea what any of this means?
Black person Spider-Man discovers multiverse. Convinces all the alternate universe spidermen, almost all of whom we see are white, to genoicide their universe as Black personman’s is the true canon universe. White spidermen genocide their universe to support Black personmans assertion
>genocide their universe
i don't get it
There exist infinite paralel universes with batmam ib it. one batman goes to another universe where his parents never died but bruce wayne did and takes his place. because of paradoxesbor stuff that universe collapses but batman manages tobescape it. that batman decides to create a citadel of the batmans from paralel universes to prevent more universes from collapsing. and for that to happen every batman's parents must die or the universe collapses. so the infinite batmans allow their infinite parents to die and stop everyone who tries to prevent their death
that but with spiderman and uncle ben
isn't that literally too with Reed Richards?
This concept is pretty burned out
There are an infinite amount of universes in the world, and in each universe, there is a Spiderman. And each Spiderman is destined to witness their universe's equivalent to the deaths of Uncle Ben and Gwen or Captain Stacy.
If these deaths do not happen, then the universe will stray from it's "canon" timeline. Universes that stray from the canon will create a cosmic anomaly, which can destroy the entire multiverse.
The only way to stop these anomalies is by ensuring that the canon deaths happen.
So Spiderman 2099 travels from universe to universe, making sure that Uncle Ben and Gwen/Captain Stacy die.
He comes across Miles, who's father is his Gwen/Captain Stacy equivalent, and he decides that Mike's father mist die for the greater good of the multiverse. Miles obviously isn't okay with this.
Cue the conflict of pragmatism (with 95% of the spiderman on 2099's side) vs idealism (Mile's side)
I haven't seen the movie, but I don't know, sounds like the "villains" aren't doing anything wrong.
Kill one or two people to save infinite quintillions.
and how the frick is this solved?
OP pic implies it does happen and Mike died?
It ends on a cliffhanger that will be resolved in the next movie
Why can't Miles uncle be considered his Uncle Ben/Gwen/Captain Stacy equivalent?
>Why can't Miles uncle be considered his Uncle Ben/Gwen/Captain Stacy equivalent?
Because then there wouldn't be a plot for this movie, anon.
what the frick is going on with these movies
That's not what genocide means.
I view any other universe than my own to be a dead-end universe anyway so who cares if trillions are "genocided"
It's extremely narcissistic to believe that your existence will affect the universe, no matter if you have superpowers or not. If an Uncle Ben or a Captain Stacy doesn't die, it's not going to collapse time and space. That's moronic. The whole premise of this movie is moronic. It's Thanos population shit all over again.
The universes are stories. They don't exist if the story doesn't. It's also solipsism, not narcissism.
>20 minute scene about how miles cant undo the canon or shits fricked
>they reveal that miles being a spiderman isn't supposed to be canon in the first place
then why does any of that shit matter? if spider-miles isn't canon, then neither are his spider-man arcs like his dad and uncle dying right?
There's also the problem of spider indians death being caused by spot who is also an anomaly, how they said they "might be able to contain" the rif that was about it devour it and how miguals universe falling apart had nothing to do with a canon even because he already had died. At first I thought this was just to prove Miguel was wrong but I think they seriously didn't think through any of these plot holes
are you people moronic? its explained that a certain level of deviation from the canon can be contained but too much causes the universe to fall apart, thats why the alt univers Miguel goes to doesn't fall apart immediately.
>There's also the problem of spider indians death being caused by spot who is also an anomaly
Holy shit you're stupid, never was Indian Spider-Man going to die, it was the death of his police captain that Miles prevented. Also the fact that it was supposed to be at the hands of Spot and the fact that Miles exists is meant to show that both of them are indeed canon and a hint that Miguel is wrong.
>how they said they "might be able to contain" the rif that was about it devour it and how miguals universe falling apart had nothing to do with a canon even because he already had died.
Why are you ESLs so stupid? In the canon of that universe Miguel was supposed to be dead in, the universe gradually fell apart because the living Miguel took his place when he wasnt supposed to.
I hate when morons like you who dont pay attention think you found some plot holes, its embarrassing.
>grrr why didnt you consider my fan speculation that wasn't apart of the movie surely you are all brown
spider-verse fans legitimately the fricking worst, even worse than MCU gays
>URGH DID YOU NOT LISTEN WHEN THEY HANDWAVED AND SAID IT DOESN'T COUNT BECAUSE... IT JUST DOESN'T OK GRRRAAAAGH YOU MAKE ME SO ANGY
Does this person not understand what a genocide is?
If the canon event does not take place, that universe is erased. It's a trolley problem situation.
bump
Why are people so dumb these days? Is there something on the water and food we consume?
Miguel most likely didn't tell any of the Spideys their fate until it has already happened, in order to avoid what happened with the Black. Also remember that not every Spidey is part of Miguel's team.
It was the Black person Miles the one that discovered earlier, on top of being an anomaly.
Rick and Morty surprisingly subverted this pretty well with the “central finite curve” bs.
The entire movie is literally just a giant strawman the filmmakers/and Marvel wrote because they're pissed that nobody gives a shit about their precious black Gary Stu.
