>Korra is a completely irrational fricking moron who makes the most clear and obvious wrong choices everytime >The villain is an absolute bore >Show just casually introduces Avatar God & Satan >THE DARK AVATAR >New Team Avatar are more divided than ever but we gotta give them all separate plots I guess >The backstory to the Avatar is stupid and didn't need explaining
Also its animation was almost completely outsourced and the entire season looks like ass.
THE DARK AVATAR is something not even a first time preteen fanfic writer would be lazy enough to come up with

or misunderstanding yin and yang so fundamentally despite using the symbolism cause its cool looking, but that actually is a preteen fanfic thing to do
Season 2 had a lot of "controversial" stuff, also its basically a season they went into completely blind because they didnt know if they were getting renewed or not in the first place.
A lot of people hate the Vaatu stuff since it goes against the entire idea of the show. Like if saying the entire Fire Nation was actually evil. I personally agreed but I also really liked the Wan arc as a concept, the whole first avatar thing and all. Some cultivation kino
No, it was legitimately terrible. >unlikable YAS QWEEN protagonist >supporting cast ranges from terrible to meh >tries to be more "mature" with its cancerous love triangle episodes >tries to be "subversive" by turning the protagonist into a cripple and a failure >shits all over the lore established in AtLA >replaces all the medieval Asian fantasy elements with generic steampunk set in notAmerica >other moronic additions like spirit portals and the battle mech >kills any chance at a good future series by killing off all the past avatars >character assassinates Toph and Aang >fartbending >last season got taken off tv because of the precipitous drop in ratings >oh shit our show's about to end and no one cares, how do we make it memorable? >uh idk, SUPRISE LESBIANS!
Bryke suffered from George Lucas syndrome and it really showed
The people who say Korra was alright or serviceable strike me as secondaries who never gave a shit about the franchise until they got their stupid brown waifu.
Takes a special level of dumb to pretend like Korra was even remotely peer with AtLA
I still don't understand why the frick they made it 1 storyline per season.
They already had a good formula from the original, even as it is it would have been a lot better if it was all single story with better flow.
Season 1 is understandable in that regard. They thought it was a one off, so they threw in all the memberberries and ship pandering which bloated the runtime, and ended with a self contained season.
After that, however, they had no excuse. They knew full well they had at least 2 seasons, so 2 did not have to be as flagrantly moronic as it was.
>Edgy 13 year oldest first 'the villain was actually right' character
Absolutely insane how they could have "what if avatar is EVIL???" as a legitimate point of discussion when in the very last season the avatar is literally united with the spirit of goodness, in opposition to evil.
All the characters were uninteresting, there were 4 seasons with Asami and she had very little personality other than being around. Varrick was okay. Kuvira's 180 at the end of the last season also seemed very out of place, but I guess Korra said some nice words and Kuvira just gave up on her strong convictions.
Korra in general had awful characters. their relationships to Korra and roles in the story always felt like an afterthought and none of them ended with satisfying or convincing arcs.
Mako is the only member of the team with an arc and that arc is going from a down on his luck athlete who's good with women to a browbeaten tardguard who's a cuck. Korra also has an arc but it's a fricking circle.
i honestly dont remember where i found it but it was awhile back and legit
might be a pornhub statistic or something but it was real and i noted it because i thought it was funny at the time
I didn't have any nostalgia for Avatar, as I watched both shows back to back in 2015. Korra is really just more of the same. Even better than Avatar at times (S3 in particular).
Told from birth that she's special, which resulted in her becoming a spoiled b***h and nearly causing the dedtruction of the world through her arrogance.
This show was so fricking annoying. It's constant stupid love triangles that collapse upon themselves when the writers decided they wanted to just add another one. Meanwhile you've got lightning benders working 9-5s powering trains for some reason and lava bending and explosion bending and people magically getting air bending and it's all so over the top and moronic. Everyone is a DBZ character living in a world that doesn't even make any sense.
It doesn't even have a real aesthetic. They went with some 1920s shit but it's still supposed to be china but you've got a guy from jersey as the radio announcer lmfao. It's such a stupid fricking show.
They had no sense of restraint or respect. It's like a teenager's first fan fiction where everything is just vomited out and when the glue starts coming apart they put as many wild fight scenes and new characters in your face as fast as possible to distract you from how fricking stupid the whole thing is.
And it worked. Of course it worked. People fricking loved it.
She was stuck in a shit show.
Korra was a decent show, it just couldn't compare to TLA.
Korra had 1 1/2 good seasons out of its 4.
A lot of people seem to block out all of season 2 for some reason.
whats S2 about, and what makes it so bad?

S2 was all about the Dark Avatar and ends in
this fight scene. And then they defeated the god of evil once and for all and instead have to now fight evil normal benders

>shits all over the lore established in AtLA
>replaces all the medieval Asian fantasy elements with generic steampunk set in notAmerica
>other moronic additions like spirit portals and the battle mech
>kills any chance at a good future series by killing off all the past avatars

She was largely responsible for that.
spirituality
The universe decided to have a giggle and made a huge b***h the Avatar.
literally
That's a huge b***h
>5'7" 5'8"
I bet she's taller than some of you frickers
>5'8
>tiddies the size of your head
Season 2 was such shit. Only the og avatar 2 parter was any good.
moronic writers that fricked up a promising show
SHE HAS TO BE LESBIAN
SHE HAS TO BE A WOMAN
SHE HAS TO BE MEEEEE
>LESBIAN
>WOMAN
>SHE HAS TO BE ME
Bryan and Mike are white guys
I still don't understand why the frick they made it 1 storyline per season.

Because they didn't know how many seasons they were getting. With their situtation, I think they did alright.
Season 1 is understandable in that regard. They thought it was a one off, so they threw in all the memberberries and ship pandering which bloated the runtime, and ended with a self contained season.

triple A
American
Attempted
Anime.

frick Black folk.
yeets outta thread
Outside of plot problems, nothing. She and her show were great
Short hair Korra was peak brown frickmeat
if Korra looked like this the entire show I would've liked it way more
Long hair Korra was better.
Ive never watched the show, should I? I enjoyed Last Airbender like 15 years ago
Korra is more good than it is bad, it has a few genuinely great moments and characters. Just be prepared to not enjoy season 2
>Korra is more good than it is bad
It has zero great moments. It has a few ok moments.
Damn, why dont we get pakis like that over here?
Penis envy
the brown skin made her manly
I love brown women. Seeing some really dark brown nipples on a lighter, beige boob gets me salivating
Good for them, they make a cute couple.
too smoog
>Edgy 13 year oldest first 'the villain was actually right' character
The easiest way to identify a midwit without an original thought is when they say that Zaheer was a good villain who redeemed book 3
Pre-reveal Amon>Kuvira>Zaheer>literal shit>>>>
Absolutely insane how they could have "what if avatar is EVIL???" as a legitimate point of discussion when in the very last season the avatar is literally united with the spirit of goodness, in opposition to evil.
tbf he was the only person in the show whose bending was cool to look at
until he learned to fly, then it was boring
BLOW IT ALL UP
Wrong board
Another show I won't watch because they had to "subvert expectations" with lesbian romance.

Did you know that Avatar the legend of korra is the number one porn that is looked up in Israel?
O.o;
Proof ?
i honestly dont remember where i found it but it was awhile back and legit
might be a pornhub statistic or something but it was real and i noted it because i thought it was funny at the time
Serious case of pussy barnacles.
I liked this show. Never understood the hate.
lots of perfectly decent things that have to follow up nostalgia-laden shows tend to get a lot of hate
I didn't have any nostalgia for Avatar, as I watched both shows back to back in 2015. Korra is really just more of the same. Even better than Avatar at times (S3 in particular).
I have nostalgia for 4elements trainer
I miss killing those mooses and Tophs feet
Making airbender babies with Jinora
She's a child
Conceptualize the odor.
she might have those asian genes where you don't get body odor
Gyaru Korra
She was the perfect feminist icon:
Told from birth that she's special, which resulted in her becoming a spoiled b***h and nearly causing the dedtruction of the world through her arrogance.
she was a w*man and also brown

>Made whole zoomers to jungle fever
>Bang with some chink then leave
Heh nothing personal kiddo
no way? they did the whole zoomer jungle fever???
Why do Cinemaphile love Korra so much ? She's crass and has almost no breasts.
homolust.
I did not follow this show online and the lesbian ending was a complete curveball to me, my brother and I started laughing hysterically
