Ngl, made me smile.
Is he voiced by Christopher Daniel Barnes?
Non-speaking. Omega Red, Silver Samurai and Polaris also show up. Baron Zemo gets a speaking cameo, tho
as did Viper and DOOM
Was that Viper? The silhouette was hard to discern her details.
demayo says it's nobody important
Confirmed it's 94 spidey, and he has big part still to play according to demayo
What’s the odds X-men 97 setting up a Spider-man 97 and avengers 97 spin-offs?
>mfw Peter finally finds MJ
Jean being mom to Cable of course
>Spider-man 97
I hope so, but I have some reservations about it. Especially if it get tied into some Spider-Verse crap.
But the finale of Spider-man TAS is already basically proto-Spider-verse.
Fair point
OH MY GOD IS THAT CORPORATE CHARACTER #2984 IN MY CARTOON MAKING AN APPERENCE!!! IM GONNA ONIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you realize how worthless that critique is for a show founded on nostalgia?
should have realized Cinemaphile makes any excuses it can to defend woke nonsense
/misc/ brainrot
Unironically meds, now
Your mom should have aborted you, you joyless sack of shit.
This absolutely.
Yes, we can only hope to be milked senseless forever.
It be like that
More like corporate character #72
It's been a long tine since I was this happy.
I pray for this to be the first step to his return.
Suck it Invincible
RADIOACTIVE
SPIDER-BLOOD
I wonder why he was used here and not in the Spider-Verse? He is completely absent from the movies even tho he is the most popular cartoon Spidey.
He's not the one people have the most nostalgia for though.
People moreso remember the elements changed in SMTAS that got carried over into most future Spidey media.
>I wonder why he was used here and not in the Spider-Verse?
Saved for Part 3 just like Kevin Conory is saved for Part 3 of that lazy crisis on infinite earths adaptation
Are they allowed to use TAS Spider-Man? I thought I remember hearing that the series creator was protective of how he could be used.
I think the creator said he was on board for a revival, so maybe that's why we got him in here.
Oh cool
Deadpool finally appear in 97
I think it made virtually all of us smile.
oh so theres' a chance Miles can show up then? Might have to pass if there gonna double down on continuing the 90's animated universe. Was willing to forgive the morph troony thing and making people that hate mutants republicans and conservatives but Miles Morales is the last straw
It really was a nice surprise.
S..S..SHOCKERRRRR?!?!
I don't understand the multiverse joined?
It's not multiverse. Spider-Man's show and X-Men's show have always been in the same continuity.
>Spongegay is a moronic casual
What else is new
Anon, that's the 90s Spider-Man. He met the 90s X-Men multiple times.
90s Spiderman and the other 90s shows save for Silver Surfer and Avengers United They Stand shared the same universe. Spider Man teamed up with the X-Men twice in his show.
I keep forgetting there was a 90's avengers cartoon
Is Silver Surfer in a different continuity? I thought it was the same one since we see Galactus a couple times in X-Men.
And all those shows had other characters like Captain America, Daredevil, Thor and others showing up here and there.
Isn't Spiderman considered a mutant here?
No.
No. He wasn’t born with the X-gene, he was a basic human nerd that got bite by a weird spider
I think the public may beg to differ regarding that matter you did notice that headline on the daily bugle during the show right?
But how can Eddie still work at Bugle if he was fired by being Venom?
I guess there can only be one explanation that the OG X-Men show plus X-Men 97 follows a different timeline then that of Spider-Man: The Animated Series 94 did. In other words what happend there is not canon in any way to X-Men 97or the OG show.
https://x.com/beaudemayo/status/1785576695690633317?s=46&t=358N-EjOZD-eCZ03iPTJfA
In case you couldn't tell by the backwards flip he did without harming a pidgeon.
>But how can Eddie still work at Bugle if he was fired by being Venom?
But if that's the case the how the frick can Eddie still work at the Bugle if he was fired by being Venom? care to answer that genius, It simply makes no sense *facepalm*
Now that the show turned out to be a huge success, will they reinstate shirtless man James Gunn-stlye?
Gunn had friends who supported him. The team hated DeMayo because he was hard to work with.
That's not true, they've come out in support of him and said he was a joy to work with
Peter vouched for him to Jameson I guess?
>Written by Eddie Brock with photos by Peter
Eddie got out of the Dark Dimension?
Different continuities. In his show, the Silver Surfer led Galactus to Earth only for the latter to say "No, I made a deal with an honorable man to spare this world" before fricking off into deep space. Where as in the 90s FF show Silver Surfer saw the Fantastic Four driving off Galactus.
>Eddie got out of the Dark Dimension?
I highly doubt that that the timeline of Spider-Man: The Animated Series 94 is canon to the show or the OG X-Men show for that matter.
There was a discussion about it in past /x97/ threads measuring the time between events and it was considered X97 is aligned with 90s Spiderman.
impossible anon given that eddie works in the bugle here despite him fired by being veom in the 90s Spiderman. it makes no sense.
When Eddie returns it will be peter who will help him, reminder that this eddie never met Anne Weying and he and and Kafka became lovers.
If i am to guess, Peter vouched Eddie back, with the plus that Eddie needs to be the hero Kafka wants it.
I miss Mullets Stark, and i want him back so Emma starts fainting every time she sees him with Scott malding.
Sorry anon, we can't have both Schwarzenegg Magneto and Mullet Tony in the same universe. That's too much manservice.
In the cartoon Tony and Julia were a thing.
>Get absorbed by the symbiote
>Panic because you think you're becoming a mutant
>Go see Professor X for help
>Get caught by anti-mutant agents snooping around the X mansion
>People think you're now a mutant
I guess he is...
Spider-Man isn't a mutant. He's a menace.
By the public, yes well at least half of them.
At one point in Spider-Man TAS he visits the X-Men because he fears he could be suffering a mutation(when he turned into that spider monster), but he in fact isn't a mutant. Same for Juggernaut besides certain adaptations making him one.
I suppose the Iron Man cartoon is better remembered?
Iron Man had a kickass season 2 opening
Better remembered only because of that badass intro
I've said it before, just from the point of view of regular joes. Why isn't every Marvel superhuman considered a mutant?
It might not be true, but they shouldn;t know that.
PR, similar to how in real life, israelites aren't considered white for some reason.
Because Inhumans and other powered beings aren't the same. Captain America is a government endorsed super hero, Iron Man is a dude on a suit, Thor is a literal god, etc.
That's meta knowledge the reader has. What average joe fricking knows the difference between a mutant or inhuman? How many people actually believe Thor is THE Thor from Norse mythology and not someone with power with that delusion?
Tony and Steve don't hide who they are anyway, and are mostly normal, at least compared to people who can shoot lasers from their butthole or something.
Hulk is considered a public threat too.
Considering how many name drops and cameos we've been getting, I wonder if we'll get the Avengers at some point. I think we're just missing Thor right now, right? Iron man popped up in Spiderman TAS.
The Iron Man series from the 90s he had a team composed of Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Spider Woman, Hawk Eye, War Machine and Century, the team splitted in the second season with Spider Woman staying with Tony. Thor appeared in the Fantastic Four cartoon. The Spider-Man cartoon had crossovers with the X-Men and the Fantastic Four with Iron Man also showing up on it, the Hulk cartoon had a crossover with the Fantastic Four, War Machine cameo'd in the X-Men.
Thanks, super nerd.
To add further, Black Panther showed up in X-Men, same with Deadpool, Daredevil and Punisher showed up in Spider-Man(Punisher even appeared in the intro).
Spider-Man also had Dr Strange. Both Strange and Thor showed up when Phoenix came to earth
Blasthole is a true hero and I'll hear no more of it.
Marvel has very few heroes with actual secret identities and origins, some will wear a disguise to go shopping and other bullshit but people like Spider-Man and Daredevil are the outliers. You look at Captain America and you have a bunch of 1940's propaganda films about american science creating the perfect man or if you look at the Fantastic Four you have a celebrity scientist and his crew gain strange powers from travelling to space.
And in Spider-Man's case he's a victim of a media campaign and just being a regular guy in his everyday life.
Most of the people who don't have secret identities either don't have powers, or are influential enough where it doesn't matter. Do regular citizens know Ghost Rider is actually the bounded soul of a demon/fallen angel with a famous stunt driver and actually looking at him will magically melt you from the inside out? Would they even believe that?
nope no x-gene
Reminded me of simpler times when X-Men and Spidey were the glue holding Marvel together.
I honestly blame X-Men movie. That started the fall.
the fall started because marvel execs signed multiple deals that made marvel pay other companies to use their properties. from movies to games and other random goods while the company was bleeding money due to the comic bubble pop
SPIDER BLOOD

kinda sketch that this was the first reply
I think we're being advertised to...
Cant believe they ripped off nanomachines changing a guy's balls from JLU
I'm a simple man, I hear DOOM, I watch it. Even if it's shit.
The blonde reporter was super thirsty for Mags bbc this episode
Val Cooper isn't a reporter she's a government official and also probably Mystique
Nah if she was Mystique it would’ve been revealed already, plus Mystique is only a simp for Magneto in the Fox movies
she talks about being won over by magneto, which would fit with her not being fully on board with him in the past, and the reveal would be your season finale drop
The flashback in episode 5 when Mystique gave Rogue to Magneto showed us that she is already loyal to him
So Bastion was just playing with an inhibitor collar for no reason?
Why would a regular human ever say “Magneto is right” and talk about the plight of mutants? Even if she sympathized, that’s a long speech for just a regular human. She’s totally Mystique
>Why would a regular human ever say “Magneto is right” and talk about the plight of mutants?
Because she literally experienced a massive genocide attack on innocent mutants that didn’t deserve it. Are you even watching the show?
This. Plus the Sentinels would’ve attacked her in Genosha if she was Mystique; and Bastion would’ve easily known if she was Mystique and not let her just hang around his lair.
Because the Mutants were basically getting ready to integrate properly. The hardest liner of the Mutant community had basically said he'd play nice and behave. No Mutants were stirring shit for normies.
And all it took was a fricking rogue AI bodysnatching a genefreak and a mutate from Victorian London to throw us into a war again. Where you've got people willingly turning themselves into meat puppets for robots. Every dystopia we've seen in X-Men TAS was caused by fricking Sentinels because the fundamental programming of Sentinels is contradictory and stupid where instead of prioritizing human life, it prioritizes mutant extermination and so when it encounters a logic loop rather than going "I must protect humans and mutants" they go "I must exterminate humans and mutants".
Trask's such a god damn frick up who made AI this advanced but didn't put in a kill switch and didn't hardcode the laws of robotics because he was so afraid that a mutie might frick his daughter
so with all the people that got turned into sleeper prime sentinels, you think its reversable that process or no?
notice how most of the prime sentinels were white men?
Bastion actually explained that, he did this to volunteers he recruited via internet mutant hate chat rooms. Apparently most racists in America are white men
>he explains this while turning Joe Dirt into a robot
there were literally multiple colored people and women being turned into robots you /misc/ brainrotted idiots
>he did this to volunteers he recruited via internet mutant hate chat rooms. Apparently most racists in America are white men
So even the latino reporter who was trying to hook up with Beast was hanging out in internet message boards?
Bastion is the mysterious hacker known as Cinemaphile!
>Hates mutants
>Wants to frick the most mutie of mutants
One of the most prominent prime sentinels was a stereotypical black teen with a an African American hair style. Get your victim complex shit out of here chud.
You would think they were the majority of the country or something
Betting it is. Since their bodies simply reform together and don't stay dismembered.
Jean mentioned being able to sense Trask inside Prime Trask so I think so. My guess is that they'll defeat Bastion in the present which will have the ripple effect of Forge in the future being able to make a cure, which Bishop will bring back.
I also think Jean will resurrect everybody on Genosha with the Phoenix and frick off into space.
The Rumor is The next season is going to adapt the start Kraoka with Operation Zero Tolerance doubling down on the need for Mutants to have a separate state away from humans. The 2nd season would be more like the X-men finding and building everything they need to even start kraoka while the 3rd season is actually kraoka proper
Oh no, the worst Mutant Ethnostate
I don't even hate the kraoka era but at least the way this seasons gone I do think the writers for the show can fix the mistakes made during the original comic run
I really fricking hate that period due to it turning Kurt away from Catholicism and dying having no real negative.
Man what a shit arc, thank God it's over
dunno how to feel about that
Considering this series was adapting stories from the 90s, then Krakoa should be left out of it.
"Onslaught", "House of M" and "Age of Apocalypse" should come first than Genosha.
E is for Extinction was in 2001
De Mayo stated he chose OZT to adapt partly because it came out in 1997. Clearly they are also drawing on more recent stories, but the focus is still on that era for now.
NTA but De Mayo is a pedophile pushing degenertate only fans while working for children's television, he shouldn't be trusted
Calling everyone you don't like a pedo just makes you sound moronic.
The less Onslaught, the better, but I know it's going to happen regardless. I always the idea of a super psychic trauma baby between Magneto and Charles was a really stupid idea for a bad guy.
But if we have to have evil Charles plus Magneto, then we might as well get a better Onslaught, which the show could possibly do.
I think It could work if Onslaught is the colmunation of mutant fears towards humanity, a tulpla that wants to destroy humanity before it destroys them.
Is Onslaught’s armor based on what Xavier was wearing on space? Because if so then it’s getting adapted
my memory of onslaught is this
Second, Capcom should have never put him in because I've wanted to see him animated despite everyone saying how bad of an event it was in the comics.
>THE DREAM IS DEAD.
>BEHOLD MY MIGHTY HAND
honestly had more trouble with apocalypse than him
>NO ONE IS SAFE
Yeah there are decades of X-Men stories between the 90s and Krakoa. We should be heading to Age of Apocalypse. And honestly, Onslaught has a lot of potential if you just adapt it so that it isn't shit
Age of Apocalypse is the finale to the X-Men in my heart. Things haven't been the same since
The X-Men's true protagonist.............Nate Grey
Yeah, as if the dude's nom de guerre wasn't enough of a hint.
Is he the one that looks vaguely that Trunks from dbz
Yeah he's pretty anime
Given the showrunner's dislike of Krakoa continuing to pull from it would be really funny. He did S2 scripts too so whatever we get there is his stuff.
>spoiler
That would be moronic and anti-climatic might as well introduce the fricking dragon balls
I hope we are still continuing with the OZT stuff and it’s not getting swept under the rug for a Magneto vs X-men finale.
I feel like they're setting up Onslaught
They def are with Xavier being back and Magneto going back to his old ways.
He will turn even darker when he sees Charles.
Especially since both Bastion and the news are now stating the Xmen knew Charles was alive and thus Magneto believes the lie.
Magneto was right there when Xavier left with the Shi'ar. He knows Charles isn't dead.
Well, Magneto knows that Xavier was terminally ill and took off with aliens to try to cure him. His survival was not assured.
>Put on your seatbelt!
That line made me laugh so much and I don't know why
They brought up Absolute Points from the What If? show, does this mean this series is technically a part of the MCU multiverse now?
?si=y1JhlDhoWRg4-Bwi
its a Marvel Animation show like What If, plus we saw The Watcher just before the mutant massacre so yeah it definitely is.
Every new Marvel project under the Marvel Animation banner is going to be connected to the MCU in some way
>The reason we don't see many mutants in the MCU is because they are still recovering from the Genosha Maasacre
I was wondering about that, Genosha Massacre being an absolute point implies that the upcoming MCU X-Men films are also going to adapt E for Extinction? I mean Cassandra Nova is in Deadpool 3 after allm
Just because Genosha happens in all timelines doesn't mean Cassandra Nova is behind it every time.
Is Absolute Points not a thing in the comics?
No that's a What If thing
Goddamn. I hope they leave it at that, MCU is poison and the more you separate from it, the better.
A spin off of Marvel's What If like
said along with "Canon Events" from the Spider Verse. It's a common time travel cliche with certain events being "fixed points" or the result of a predestination paradox.
No, but Events have Weight.
So there are some Events that are a b***h to change, most of the time just delaying them or altering them in superficial ways, depending on where in the timeline you are
Link pls. My sites don't have it yet. Can't fricking discuss it without seeing it.
CineZone has it
Thanks bro. I loved the Summers sequence. Hoping they take the series far enough that we get to see Xavier eat shit for his countless shortcomings.
Would have preferred it if they gave all Prime Sentinels the black and pink uniform instead of making them robo zombies.
didn't cable explaining the future have the Prime Sentinels wear the black and pink?
Isn't the whole point of the Prime Sentinels in the show is that they're supposed to look like normal people to catch mutants offguard?
They henshin into the black/pink outfit.
Yes, they're sleeper agents both in the show and the comics, but in the comics, once their nature is revealed, they also receive the blackpink uniforms.
(I do actually prefer the robo zombies, gives them a more menacing appearance and drives the point home that the original people are gone.)
lmao it's a woke mind virus but for conservatives!
The virus is not only in the mind. They basically become a robotic version of The Thing. Their former consciousness is allowed to persist until their new subconscious, the sentinel mind, notices a mutant and erases the original mind.
(Except the show has made it so that at the very least Trask simply has his original consciousness stashed and screaming at the back of his mind as his dead body continues to attack the X-Men)
Is Doom voiced by KAIN?
I wish. It looks like they cheaped out and just got Ross Marquand
So he's Xavier, Red Skull and 7Doom
>Additional Voices: Robin Atkin Downes
Someone give this man proper role
Just have him voice Vision
So Nimrod cucked a human dude by storing Nanomachines in his balls?
So how many people do you think died from the EMP? Remember, it's anyone who was in a plane, in in a sub, on life support, in the middle of surgery, basically anything where if an electronic were to short out in the middle of what you were doing or rely on, you're now dead.
Like how high did Magneto's body count just grow in one shot?
Definitely in the low hundred millions atleast.
Unless they are about to pull some shit where he used his powers to gently lower the planes.
Magneto left that woman to die after she saved his life, you think he's going to let the flatscans who didn't live?
>Magneto left that woman to die after she saved his life
>because she was guilty about being complicit in a genocide
I'm just saying she's actually done something for him, what's the average human done for Magneto lately? He's not saving anyone.
Only because the North Pole is the magnetic pole of the planet and he's using it to basically not save anything but to destroy it. He'd have fried Genosha too.
Backup generators can explain away hospitals at least, but yeah, any plane in the sky came down for sure.
https://x.com/beaudemayo/status/1785575959896436990?s=46&t=358N-EjOZD-eCZ03iPTJfA
A gay thanked Beau for the gayneto wearing a speedo, X/Twitter was a mistake.
>Definitely in the low hundred millions atleast.
According to official data, there were 2.9 hospital beds per 1000 people in the world.
https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SH.MED.BEDS.ZS
That means there aren't more than ~23 Million hospital beds in the world and most of them aren't intensive care that would require power and have people hooked up to essential technology, so we can scratch that. But let's just say they are, for funsies. So with one stroke, Magneto has killed 23 Million people on that front.
Now for passenger flights. Here, the consensus is that at any given point during the day, around half a million people are traveling through the air.
https://www.gaytravel.com/gay-blog/airline-and-flight-statistics (Yes I know, ha ha funny source).
Since we already agreed that not every hospital bed is IC-equipped, we can basically roll all the people on subs, in public transport and during the middle of surgery into that figure, so AT MOST Magneto outkilled the Nazis by about 5 times, around 25 million normies and muggas.
Uh... Subs and hospitals don't magically "die" when it loses power. It has a lot of back ups. This is like thinking people die in elevators when power goes out.
Well, let's assume for the sake of argument the emergency generators were also knocked out by the EMP.
"Hundreds of millions" is still picrel
I don't think that's how it works
With that said I wonder why they showed off Silver Samurai and Omega Red. In the show he (Samurai) was really, really lame that it took COTA to make him good.
>I don't think that's how it works
I don't think that's how it works either, which is why I looked up the reported total amount of hospital in the world in the first place and argued that, even taken as intensive care units, every single one of them, Magneto would never have been able to kill "hundreds of millions" with his EMP. Take into account that the series takes place in 1997, so less pacemakers he could switch off, less people around in general, less air travel...
>less people
Id say less instant deaths and more economic related chaos deaths. Like 75% of americans live paycheck to paycheck. Now imagine tell those people "well the banks stopped working and they only have 10% of their holdings in hard currency, so you just lost everything. Oh and you lost your job because the same thing just happened to your boss, they just lost everything".
remember the shitshow covid (real or not is irrelevant) was economically? Thay was like 3% gdp decline over 3 years. Imagine 50% in 30 seconds.
Yeah this moment is right out of the comics where the death toll was given as hundreds to thousands. Still enough to justify Xavier wiping his mind.
It gets worse the more i think about it. Police stations, fire departments, hospitals would cease to operate. Im actually thinking deaths would be like in the billions, just over a few years
EMPs don't just make something lose power, they destroy electronics from the inside out. The machine is now a complete wreck and can't be salvaged.
Even if they still have power, the machine doesn't work and any parts to replace it are all now fricked and must be built from scratch. good luck building circuits before someone falls to their death or dies in their iron lung or runs out of oxygen.
That's also not including anything that didn't immediately explode from the EMP burst energy so anything just exploding in someone's face from being near electronics.
I think this is just "fictional" EMP that writing likes to use, the type that just "shuts down devices" but never just breaks them.
In a universe with the Fantastic Four and Ant-man I could believe some particle could reverse emp'd electronics or something bullshit like that.
Even in the 90's there was EMP hardening and for large electrical installations it would have just blown fuses and breakers. I think there may have been less deaths than some people are estimating. Either way the episode was quality I haven't seen in some time
Pretty high.
That whole era just felt over the top and not in a good way.
>Magneto can do a global EMP but couldn’t defend Genosha
I think there's a reason why he had to go all the way to the North Pole for the EMP but does raise the question why he couldn't just do a more localized EMP attack
Standard sentinels are made of nano plastics to protect them from magnetic frickery, like Magneto.
Apparently Prime Sentinels with their bio organic components were not able to compensate for the most famous and powerful mutant terrorist on the planet.
Didn't you notice that he had to travel to the north pole in order to pull that trick?
Krakow is a pretty big thing to randomly introduce and then have all the mutants move there. It’s also a bit silly to show one mutant island get destroyed just to introduce an even more mutant island seconds later.
yeah i can agree with that. it just feels like it'd be cyclical if they did that. hoping there's another way that isn't just doing Krakoa.
Isn't Krakoa a living island with automated anti-mutant defenses? I thought the whole point was that no armies or sentinels could randomly show up like in Genosha.
Can he stop Magneto? Only 2% of his body mass is fat.
He'll use his MASTERY OF TECHNOLOGY
>No Kingpin OZT cameo
Shame they didn't adapt Acts of Vengeance
Requesting someone to edit the webm to that shitpost "Black personBlack personBlack person XD" meme.
Me when deleting my troony Porn browsing history on Google Chrome.
Who you into?
I'm into Sue Lightning, Holly Sweet, Kendra Sinclair, and Foxxy myself.
Sue only did porn for, like, 5 minutes. How much content could there be? Anyway, I'm a kalikarma, taftaj, and Bailey Jay man myself.
But which one's has the best topping videos?
Well Sue never topped so they're out.
Kendra's Cheerleader and Roommate videos are pretty good
Holly has a lot, but they all feel the same after a while.
So Foxxy is probably the best. She's a very energetic dom and has a great ass to look at while she does it
He can and it will be BECAUSE OF HIS W E I G H T
Val Cooper = Depowered Raven Darkholme
Please don’t tell me we are doing Fatal Attractions for the finale.
It's Operation Zero Tolerance with elements of Fatal Attractions.
>Cable doesn’t have a name card in the opening credits but fricking Morph does despite how little of an impact he’s had on this show
Absolutely moronic behavior.
Cable is not part of them so it makes sense.
So the opposite of the 90s, where Cable would show on the cover or something and then barely be in the comic? Or Wolverine. Ironic.
You only get a card of you join the X-men
They wouldn't dare do a Moira mulligan, would they?
Onslaught is Inevitable, Because Charles needs to stop Magneto.
And Magneto needs to Dissapear so Xorn Happens, and we are getting Emma joining the team in the last 2 episodes as Colossus.
I didn't the comics so what's the deal with Krakoa? Everyone keeps saying it's simultaneously the best and worst thing that ever happened to X-Men
Kraoka is a nation ruled by super villains.
Who the frick says it's the best thing that's happened to them? It was a load of bullshit that actively thrived in everyone being so out of character a lot of people activity are hoping contrived mind control was involved to try and justify the moronic shit in that arc
>I didn't the comics so what's the deal with Krakoa?
As rushed as X-Men 97 is, even if they do the Krakoa storyline, they're going to cram it all into one episode so they can zip along to something else.
the already did Krakoa in the comic adaptation.
X-Men: House of XCII.
It's canon to X-men'97
it was better than the regular version.
>reddit spacing
>moronic opinion
Checks out
And no, that shit was woke shit
>gay Iceman
Frick off
Anyone have that image showing that instances of crying about reddit spacing spikes each election year?
Maybe you found it on reddit, moron
No, definitely here. Someone parsed a ton of threads and showed that instances of 'reddit spacing' spikes way up both in 2016 and 2020. And, oh look, it's 2024.
Also, the fact that you cried about woke and reddit spacing in the same post, you kinda outed yourself, bud.
>It's canon to X-men'97
No it isn't.
The show actually got me excited enough to go read the Krakoa arc despite not touching x-men comics for like a decade and a half.
I liked it in the beginning (except for the dumb infodump pages), but it noticeably went down in quality when the writer got swapped out. The early Krakoa stuff was great imo, but after Hickman was gone it got real bad. That comic with Magik and Emma Frost was like a bad joke.
The issue most people have with it is that it completely goes against everything the X-Men ever stood for and every mutant, and I do mean every fricking mutant, except for 1 or 2, go along with it and love it. Having an ethnostate which's mission statement is quite literally not achieve peaceful cohabitation between humans and mutants but rather widen the gap and establish that mutants and humans cannot live together ever and everyone being ok with it is peak pessimism and a total rejection of the core ideals of the franchise.
That's not even getting into the fact three Ethnostate wanted them to abandon their religion, you had kids willingly getting their heads blown off by a shotgun to pop their death cherry, death being easily solved just makes future conflicts look moronic in comparison. It's just a whole damn mess of shit execution. If they had just consequences and conflict I wouldn't be so irritated by it, but it is what it is
Problem is, it should have been written as a dystopia from which core X-Men team members start waking up from. Instead, it was written as a consequence-free power trip.
Yeah, like I get in a Gambit mark, but the fact him, Nightcrawler or Wolverine didn't have extreme doubts on the thing once the layers were peeled back just doesn't add up in the fricking slightest considering their established characters
Krakoa isn't a bad idea at all, even if some of the zanier stuff like solving death, diplomatic immunity for villains, and the mutant baby dropoff in Way of X was there. Without any real way of defending themselves and asserting their political ideals on the world stage, peaceful cohabitation was never going to be a real possibility. The fact is, at some point a mutant safe haven will always be in the cards just like a bunch of fricking sentinels will always be in the cards.
I legit hoped the island kept making clones with fricked up memories while keeping the originals locked up to use as human batteries.
Magneto would be right if his violence extended exclusively to bigots and racists, but dude has to bring all other humans back with them, being an extremist himself. Like other anons said, millions must have died in that magnetic wave on the air. Hundreds of supervillains born from that day. This is how The Monarch started.
>Magneto would be right if his violence extended exclusively to bigots and racists, but dude has to bring all other humans back with them
But that's the dilemma isn't it? Most of humanity probably don't outright hate mutants but they aren't completely sympathetic either, they're just apathetic.
At best they, like Bastion pointed out, virtue signal when they feel a mutant has been unjustly murdered as what seemingly happened with Charles but most of the time they're going to act like moderates in that they simply tolerate their existence but dislike it when their own lives get interrupted or inconvenienced as a result of truly achieving equality.
Hence why the final three episodes are literally titled "Tolerance is Extinction".
Thank you for agreeing Magneto is the villain.
This logic leads to "ok let's just deal with the muties once and for all then". Really the very notion that someone like Magneto can just be born and do this must damage to the planet would have me approve eugenics against his kind. Curing mutants is the morally good option, genociding them on sight is more morally gray.
Okay now what are you going to do about the guy in billion dollar tech suits flying around, the big green rage monster, the Sorcerer who can summon parts of interdimensional beasts to fight, or the 4 man team that have recently shown the ability to block out the sun and send specific areas into the future knowing that if something else fills that physical space when it returns and can cause devastating explosions?
Mutants don't live in a world where it's just them vs humans.
There are extraordinarily dangerous humans as well, and if you choose to ignore them while targeting mutants then you just prove their point about how they get scape goated as the problem because they're born different.
And if you do decide to target non-mutant heroes then you end up with Civil War which didn't end well in the long run.
"Curing" them assumes they want it, and genocide is a big part of why Magneto hates humanity already cause, ya know, he already went through one as a kid
Who's the girl next to Bastion?
Daria, a prime sentinel that breaks programming and frees Jubilee in Generation X
This is really similar to Young Justice
Can totally see Apocalypse coming at the end of the season saying :
“Everything is going according to plan”
Did you post this on tumblr or steal it from tumblr?
Why did Bastion keep Magneto alive?
He's extremely powerful and Bastion thought that his magnetism powers could be useful. There was the flashforward scene where older Polaris was using her powers.
The impression I got from the last episode is that he was grooming Magneto to be the big mutant threat which would convince everyone to hand over funding/approval/control to him and the sentinel program.
To jerk off him.
He was going to be the catalyst of war. It's why he was going "too little, too late".
I don’t know if him deactivating all the sentinels was part of it though
That is part of the keikaku.
Why are they bringing Scott and Jean together again? Wasn't all this drama the perfect setup for Emma's arrival? Damn, I hate Scott/Jean so much.
Wow, Wolverine is finally doing something. Morph is still useless tho. I wonder if they were added by Disney for representational purposes, but DeMayo didn't care for them at all.
No it's more that morph is a walking cameo machine and is there to show viewers there fan-favorite mutants that can't show up in the current storylines
good episode
loved seeing Wolverine slicing people in to pieces, and Cyclops being proud of his car
Nightcrawler was cool too
Did the car appear in the original series?
No, this is his gay car from X2, where he listens to NSYNC.
Honestly, I don't care about Xavier. X-Men are much more interesting without him.
It's worse with him back because he's going to try playing the moderate the entire time and just make things work.
I hope Bastion gives him a little speech that Xavier has been humanity's greatest ally because no matter what humans do good old Uncle Tom Xavier will argue for "reason" and "compassion"
On DC Mutants would be seen as heroes.
Until recently since Waller is ruining 70 years of Peace inbetween capes and humans because someone killed her troony wife in the past.
Because the morons at DC has to shove a "SOCIAL CRITIC FRICK YES MAN!"
I think Xavier got a backbone now after that death scene with Gambit
It was nice seeing Kurt and Logan fighting side by side again. Especially since Kurt looked so hot wielding those swords.
I never expected a western show to fix Three Sword Style. It makes sense with someone that has a tail.
>tfw DOOM cameo
Simon Templeman voicing him again? if so FRICK YE
Sadly, no. They got Xavier's VA to do a eastern Euro accent
Soon Ross Marquand will play every character in the show
God i marked out so hard.
I really wish they didn't show spider-man in this... now it's just inevitable until miles shows up
Kind of? Like I wouldn't be surprised of Animated Spider-Man pops up in Beyond the Spiderverse
Jesus christ shut up already about miles
>Stop talking about miles!
>meanwhile marvel is shoving him into everything and now x-men shit too
just consoom!
>meanwhile marvel is shoving him into everything
Like what?
>Sony's Spider-Miles
>Sony's Spider-Miles 2
>Spider-Verse 1
>Spider-Verse 2
>Secret Wars 2015
>What if Miles Morales was Thor?
We get it, you hate Miles. We don't fricking care. This isn't his thread and he has jack shit to do with the X-Men. You're getting mad about nothing you dense motherfricker.
Spider-Man showing up MEANS miles is going to come. it MEANS there's going to be episodes dedicated to probing him up over peter in a FRICKING X-MEN Cartoon.
It literally doesn't mean shit and your knee-jerk overreaction to a cameo of a completely different character makes you look like a fricking lunatic.
the only lunatic is you not noticing the pattern anytime something with peter parker shows up. This show was able to be forgiven with the morph stuff but now that Miles Morales is on the table this is irredemible. they cannot HELP but ruin everything with politics
This is the last (you) you're getting from me, because it's pretty clear you're a moron.
>Two Spider-Man games
>Two Spider-Man cartoon films where he's literally the main character
>A crossover event comic that literally involves almost every Marvel character from every universe
>A What If story
That's it?
>>A crossover event comic that literally involves almost every Marvel character from every universe
He was at the time the only hero incorporated into the new main universe and played a major role in its restoration from Battleworld.
>He was at the time the only hero incorporated into the new main universe
There was like 3 different people from the Ultimate Universe that ended up in 616 after Battleworld. Not our fault no one cares about Jimmy Hudson.
> and played a major role in its restoration from Battleworld.
and?
You can stop creating fictional scenarios to get mad about any fricking time now.
Here's your 90s Miles bro
kino
>Spider-Man can't appear in Invincible due to copyright
>but Rex-Plode was in Spider-Man TAS
It's inevitable for Miles to show up in an X-Men show because of a five second cameo?
MAN service
>You have a Porsche at the back?
that made me chuckle
This whole scene was wholesome af. I still can't believe how great the Summers are on this show.
The headlamps in the Porsche looked like a modern day one and not a 1990s murderbox, totally threw me off
Something about Bastian’s face is generally repulsive to look at. I think it must be the eyes or the lips.
He has very full, feminine lips and flamboyant behaviour in this incarnation and looks generally younger than he ever has in the comics. He's overtly designed to be gaybait. Not that I mind.
Is OZT worth reading? It's about the only X-Men event I haven't read. Bastion's never really interested me outside of X-Force/Second Coming though.
The show in general seems to do some weird shit with lips. Half the people look like Todd McFarlane's Kyle Rayner figure.
>he show in general seems to do some weird shit with lips
They don't really have any but then just colour them anyway
OZT is dog shit and considered the shark jump moment of 90s X-Men:
>>in spite of being hyped as a spiritual sequel to Days of Future Past, it's a glorified four part Iceman solo story with the mother of all bullshit endings where Bastian's arrested by random SHIELD agents after Robert Kelly sudden gets cold feet on hunting down mutants
doesn't get his origin told until a year later in a Cable/Machine Man xover; instead the only thing we learn about him is that he has a previously unseen rich benefactress who got him into government that never appeared again.
>>Put Marrow and Cecelia Reyes on the X-Men team and almost saddled us with Sabre on the team too.
>>To find out what happened to the the actual X-Men captured you had to buy the Wolverine tie-ins
X-Men meanwhile was logged down with a completely unrelated story withe the rest of the X-Men in space and being held prisoner by Magneto, with only a single Marrow spotlight issue that took place prior to the start of OTZ to remotely connect it to the main Iceman solo story portion of the storyline
It was a lame crossover just like nearly every other 90s event but it was not a shark jump moment. The worst of it was the Alan Davis run followed by the Claremont Revolution in the 00s.
Has Ultron ever taken control of the Sentinel program? Seems like a big over sight not to use the giant murder bots and switch them from "Mutant" to "All".
Is Magneto the final boss?
Is Bastion just incompetent?
Bastion voice reminds me of Hemlock from Bad Batch
like he looks funny than threatening compared to his comic book and arcade appearance
Yeah, he was kinda lame in the 90 cartoon and was pretty badass in CotA which was made from the popularity of the cartoon ironically.
he and psylocke were random picks since they were barely in the cartoon. but Capcom also referenced comics there.
Even so in Psyloce's case, she was popular enough to return in Marvel Super Heros even though both her and Silver Samurai had little to no presence in the cartoon; though we all know why Psylocke was far more popular than Silver Samurai.
are we actually getting Fatal Attractions?
I didn't believe we'd get OZT until I saw Bastion next to Forge and I was a bit blinkered because of the prominence of LIFEDEATH in the schedules, but yeah, we might get FA. Let's hope X-Men '97 gets renewed often enough so we can one day get a version of Second Coming.
As long as it keeps this same quality I'm more than happy to see this show keep going. Really been loving the presentation even if my homie Gambit is dead for half the fricking season
Yeah, same. I notice the show does try to be relevant to current political issues, but since social issues and oppression politics is the X-Men's whole shtick and it's not pushed in your face besides providing quality entertainment, I also would like to see more.
Doom shouldn't really be a surprise. He was in Spider-Man TAS and that is canon to X-Men TAS.
I'm curious if they're going to explain how exactly Magneto survived the tri-sentinel blast. Like did Leech dampen his powers so the sentinel couldn't detect him anymore? And if so does that mean the Mutants he was with in his force field are also alive?
>And if so does that mean the Mutants he was with in his force field are also alive?
Wouldn't the forcefield have disintegrated if Leech had depowered him?
Seems that way but with comic book logic you can explain anything away.
Magneto is Right
those Muslims will never stop attacking israelites
kill or be killed
With how good X-Men 97 is, I find it hard to believe that regardless of James Gunn said, that WBD isn't even thinking about giving one of their DC Shows the X-Men 97 treatment.
And what would be the "X-Men 97 Treatment"? Bad animation with bland character designs?
*Invincible treatment
Reviving a well loved Animated Series decades later, like I don't know Teen Titans, Legion Of Superheroes, The Zeta Project just to name a few.
ZETA BROS WE HAVE A CHANCE
Considering it's the only DCAU series that never had a real ending. And the passing of Kevin Conroy, a 3rd season of the Zeta Project is the easiest route to go with a DCAU revival.
They can't really revive the DCAU with Batman dead
I know they can't, well technically they can but to get permission to use any unused recordings would be a legal hassle.
They can however revive any of their non-DCAU shows for new seasons like Teen Titans, The Batman, Legion Of Super-Heroes, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Green Lantern:TAS or Young Justice.
Teen titans is the only one I see being brought back and succeeding
Same here after all it is the one that has the most demand for a revival.
They did, and with their Amazon Studios partnership, what's stopping Amazon from funding it if WBD is too cheap to do so?
They said they wanted to bring the OG teen titans back like this for years, and how the TTG film was going to fund it.
>I find it hard to believe that regardless of James Gunn said, that WBD isn't even thinking about giving one of their DC Shows the X-Men 97 treatment.
Why is it so hard to believe? James Gunn is already technically making his own version of the DCAU but in live-action with the DCU, where the movies aren't going to be origin stories but rather one of the many adventures that the heroes (who are supposed to already be established in-universe) go through.
Simply because of how much of a mess DC is outside of Matt Reeves Batman and Todd Philip's Joker.
Literally none of this would happen if muties just agreed to wear the damn collar. I'm not asking for much, just to have them be on the same level as the rest of humanity. The morlocks are the kind of muties I like they mostly just look weird they aren't blowing up people's houses or having the earth be invaded, speaking of this xavier fricker is just the worst. He brings in these young impressionable kids promising them he can teach them how to "control their powers" turns them into his personal army and now he's a space emperor? None of this would happen if they just wore the fricking collar. Not that the human extremists are any better, of course OF COURSE they had to go and blow up genoshia when it was at it's peak. A mutant society can't function for long it's defined by might makes right which is why the whole idea of mutants is so abhorrent to a God fearing American like myself. Whereas the gun is the great equalizer something that promotes individual liberty a mutant society will bend to whoever can win in a fight, by it's nature its a violent society doomed to fail. If they gave genosha a couple of years it would have imploded. And very mutie would have looked at the good ones who gave up their curse and are living happy lives with the rest of us.
Sinister is a Sellout to Mutants
like dude your a mutant too might aswell just wear the collar right now
anon he's apocalypse-lite
He's not in this continuity though. He's still a weird victorian dude that experimented on himself (and was bankrolling Jack the Ripper for a while).
> He's still a weird victorian dude that experimented on himself
Unless they retconned it, wasn't that the case in the comics too?
They retconned it fairly recently. The original Nathaniel Essex died ages ago and created four clones, each with a different suit of cards on their foreheads. "Mister Sinister" is just the Ace of Diamonds. And there's also a "Dominion" outer space entity with Essex' personality who has a crown in place of the diamond.
I think he means right at the start of Hickman's stuff when mutate Sinister got offed by a Sinister clone that was a mutant from the start using Thunderbird's X-gene.
It hasn't been retconned in the show yet, they haven't done much with Sinister's backstory in 97 other than bringing up that he worked with Nazis in today's episode.
Comics Sinister is a Victorian scientist who was turned into a mutate by Apocalypse. Animated Sinister was a Victorian scientist who turned himself into a mutate using the DNA of other mutants.
They already did the Twelve with Beyond Good and Evil.
I don't think I've ever realized that was supposed to be the Twelve.
United They Stand should stay forgotten.
>United They Stand should stay forgotten.
That's a different continuity so it will
The guy comparing the two arcs is making shit up, as the time travel arc came out BEFORE we got the version of the Twelve we ended up with (which was a filler arc to set up Ages of Apocalypse, a stunt event involving different variations of the X-Men instead of a conclusion to the actual Twelve saga as previously built up
The concept of The Twelve came from X-Factor #14 from 1986. The animated series adapted that concept in their own way, the comics went in a different direction later. No sense in repeating that concept again to adapt a worse version of it.
>Jack the Ripper
That's funny since one of the concepts for Spider Man post Spider Wars was him traveling to Victorian London and fighting a Carnage empowered Jack the Ripper. Sinister could have had a symbiote under his employ!
isn't he a mutant, or rather a mutate
Mutate. Between his own experiments and an encounter with Victorian era Apocalypse gave Sinister his powers.
So Val gets to live right
raped for sure
This show would be better without the zany anime style fight scenes.
When is Colossus and his hot sister coming back
Mutant enslavement is not a bad idea
use their powers to build roads and shit
I really can't wait for the next two episodes. But turning everyone into machines isn't a bad idea, they can have their body ripped apart and they can repair themselves.
I only come here once a week for the episode, but I'm legit feel sorry for people who have had their brain rotted by politics to the point that they can't enjoy this legitimately good show without worrying that a black person might appear in the next scene. Obviously, right wing brain rot is prevalent in these threads, and I know it exists out there, but it makes me wonder if I've shown signs of left wing brain rot in other shows.
There are a lot of reasons fueling it. Mostly the treatment of race in entertainment since 2008 changed and it impacts people's viewpoints due to how writers treat it.
Isn't it just all in people's heads and being pushed by propagandist who want to make people hysterical for political purposes? For example, we got John Stewart GL and Hawkgirl in JLU specifically because they wanted a black guy and another woman in the show, as stated in interviews. I don't remember anyone crying about that. People weren't upset about stuff like that until they were told that they're supposed to be upset about it.
Nta, but tbh I always wished they had gone with Zatanna instead. Hawkgirl was pretty much just slightly angrier Wonder Woman
im kinda surprised in retrospect they didn't pivot towards Zatanna since Paul Dini loves her
im pretty sure i remember people b***hing about john stewart gl and hawkgirl in jlu anon ngl
these types of people have always existed, hence conservative
tbf halkeks would have b***hed even if it was another white guy like Kyle or Guy
Blame DEI and diversity fundings, consulting agency race grifters
When you force something, it will always get a push back
We are way pass paranoia at this point
"Forced diversity" nowadays basically just means "the mere presence of a woman or non-white person"
Thats why we are pass paranoia
And moved straight into schizo territory
All thanks to DEI and force diversity
Things will never be the same again.
The genie is out of the bottle
Go leave already
That right there is the brain rot I'm talking about. You're upset at things no reasonable person should be upset at. It's literally just propaganda pushed into your mind. Propagandist used to call it critical race theory, remember? Once that reached its peak and they couldn't get more out of it, they switched over to DEI. DEI will meet the same fate eventually and they'll just switch to something else to keep you mad. Don't get me wrong, this exists on the left too, but I personally think it would be best if we would just realize these things so that we won't be so easily emotionally manipulated like this.
Its not like they are hiding DEI and force diversity.
They are literally shoving it down our faces and they are proud of it.
They're not 'hiding' it because it is just something that has always existed and will always continue to exist. It's not something to hide. It's just how the world has always worked and will continue to work. The only thing that changed is that someone told you you're supposed to be upset with it. Go back 50 years or so. Despite the fact that there are plenty of white martial artists around, we were given a slew of Bruce Lee movies. No one was complaining about some Asian agenda being shoved down their throat. It would have been ridiculous then, the exact same as how you're being ridiculous now. It's not a real thing to be upset about.
Are you moronic?
Maybe. I am doing the equivalent of walking into a den of feminist, pulling one out and trying to convince that person that men aren't the root of all evil. How am I doing? Not well?
You will never feel happiness ever again and it's all your fault.
THEY'RE DOING ULTIMATUM
HOW DOES BASED BEAU KEEP DOING IT?!
They aren't doing Ultimatum. This is Fatal Attractions. There's no coming back from Ultimatum.
>Onslaught kills both Chuck and Magnus leaving Scott the official leader of the X-Men
They gotta do another season of him breaking down before they go full schism. Also they kinda have to bring back Apocalypse so I wonder what they do there.
>bringing Apocalypse back after Onslaught
Looking forward to seeing what they can do with the Twelve, that shit sucked so there's only room for improvement.
>EMP's earth in his speedos
I'm still laughing. How OP can that guy get?
I feel like Buck Broken Beau knew he was on the clock and they were ready to fire him any minute hence why they're rushing through all the 90's stories. Next season is New X-Men kino with Sublime and Fantomex.
>hence why they're rushing through all the 90's stories
I think it's just how the original show was paced too. Unless you were the Phoenix stories that shit played out at warp speed.
The original cartoon was like that too
Even the Phoenix Saga was rushed and mishmash of stories.
I miss Maddie, it should have been Jean who died
She should when they hit the Morrison stuff. Unless they skip all the way to Krakoa.
>Jean dies
SO SAY'S THE PHEONIX
I think their whole arc isn't finished yet. Also there's phoenix. Wasn't she in maddie as well? Not caught up in all the comic lore
How will they justify the Phoenix coming back though? In the show it's pretty clear it's just a cosmic force and it seemed pretty over humanity after dark phoenix
Spoilers for "Tolerance Is Extinction" part 1.
he UN reveals to the world that Xavier is alive, inciting an anti-mutant protest outside the school. Cable explains to the X-Men that the Genosha massacre is an "absolute point" in time that cannot be changed, and Bastion will use it to start a 300-year war that will lead to the enslavement of mutants in a human utopia. Following a lead from the future, Cyclops, Jean, and Cable travel to Harmony, Pennsylvania. They learn that Bastion was conceived after his father was infected with a techno-organic virus, creating a human-machine hybrid that is more evolved than the Sentinels, Master Mold, and Nimrod. Members of the UN's "Operation: Zero Tolerance" (OZT) express concern over the massacre and ask Dr. Cooper to monitor Bastion, who reveals to her how he is turning humans into Prime Sentinels like Trask. Prime Sentinels activate around the world, attack mutants, capture Jubilee and Roberto, and burn down Xavier's school. A horrified Cooper releases Magneto, who uses his abilities to shut down the Prime Sentinels all over the world. Soon after, Xavier returns to Earth and summons the X-Men.
This is terrible.
Bastion: I use my magic turn people into Sentinels power.
Magneto: well I use my destroy all the Sentinels power.
Way to fix all the problems in one episode.
Expect a bad adaptation in the cartoon as well.
It's part one of three
What are the other 2 parts going to be? Magneto either just beat all the Sentinels or he achieved nothing.
He started a war by creating an EMP that shut down power everywhere. A lot of collateral damage because of that.
I understand holding Magneto hostage but was there an actual reason why Sinister and Bastion needed him to be spread out and basically ass naked in the center of the lab?
It has to be a fetish. First with the shaving, now he's got him spread eagle like he's a centerpiece in an art museum out in his lab for no reason in a speedo.
More detailed spoilers for "Tolerance is Extinction Part 1" bear with me please.
Intro - Magneto is still out. Profesor X is in. No new flashback shots
Scott and Jean watch Cable shooting his gun outside the mansion. He and Bishop were stranded in the tmie stream and he went to a future alone. In the war room, Cable briefs the team on Bastion and Prime Sentinels, which are made by the TO virus. Bastion's Evolutionary War lasted 300 years. It was a Utopia for humans as mutants were made slaves. Old Polaris and Rachel cameo. Jean realizes that Cable was around when Maddie died. They then see a news report of Cavier being revealed to be alive and about to rule the Shi'ar Empire. It reports the Xmen faked his death to get mutant support and also murdered Trask.
Jubilee and Sunspot are with his mother and Stryker is on the news. Rogue is in a bed and Jean is trying to help her as Kurt looks on. They talk about Maddie. With the psychic connection they had, its as if her memories are her own. She feels her son within her and the memory of holding him. But he's Maddie's son. Kurt mentions how he is mystique's son and despite being blood are like strangers. Blood is blood. Family is a choice. Jean, Scott and Cable then leave to some coordinate that beast gives them
Val Cooper is with Sinister who has Magneto held up on an X cross. She talks alone with Magneto and says she didnt know about Genosha and apologizes. He refuses to speak back. Later at the mansion Trish gives Beast some coffee as he works on the prime sentinel they apprehended. The Summers go to what was supposed to be a sentinel facility but realize i is Bastion's childhood home. An old lady is found. Jean touches a childhood drawing and her psychometry powers kick in as she sees the kid and the father infected with sentinel technology from the future to become Nimrod. The kid is named Sebastion and becomes a mutated sentinel. The mother later becomes a sentinel.
Back with Bastion, Daria is with him. Dr. Doom, Zemo and some mystery women are revealed to be working with him. Bastion tells his plan to Val, Operation Zero Tolerance. He shows her how the prime sentinels are made. She thought he was building a new sentinel, not weaponizing humans
Jubilee and Sunspot are out shopping and she wears something like her black bodysuit in the books. A prime sentinel is activated. They run and he uses his powers to shoot one. At some point she falls off a building adn Sunspot flies in to save her as he's been practicing in the danger room. They crash his mother's Humans for Genosha event. The sentinels tell them that they dont kill mutants. His mother tells them to go with the sentinels whom puts collars on them.
At the mansion, Beast sees prime sentinels activated across the globe. Trish becomes one to and attacks him. Morph turns into Juggernaut. A bunch of them show up at the mansion doors as parts of it burns. Kurt adn Logan fight together to protect Rogue.
With the Summers the are attacked by a neighborhood of sentinels and flee in the Blackbird. It is attacked and about to crash but they manage to escape in a car. Scott and Cable shoot the sentinels as Jean TK dries the car
A sentinel that looked like Gambit is outside hte mansion and opens the car door for Bastion. He opens a portal and goes back to his facility. Val tells him he;s a monster. She says no one seemed shocked or surprised about Genosha. She freed Magneto and tells him that Magneto was Right.
Magneto releases an eM Pulse across the globe that deactiates the sentinels. Spiderman cameo is seen. Silver Samurai and Omega Red are as well. Wolverine mentions that Magneto has declared war. At that moment Xavier returns and says "To Me my X-men"
end spoilers
>Jean using tk ro drive the car instead of attacking
This is why Raven is the superior psychic bird
Miss Martian is literally the superior version of Jean
Just watch young juctice
>old woman polaris shows up
when's young polaris
Wanda when
When The Avengers show up
i like that doom gets included in villain group calls just so he can feel superior
Xavier is stupid
Integration will never happen.
Mutants will always have a leg up with Normal Humans.
Normal Humans will never feel safe with mutants that can rewire thier brains into thinking they are gay forever as an example
Separation is the key, The Harry Potter Universe already figured this out.
>The Harry Potter Universe already figured this out.
anon...
Can season 2 just have the New X-Men and M-Day. I wanna see the Purifiers kill a bus full of kids.
I finally caved in and decided to start X-Men TAS, is there a turning point for quality or does the animation just never improves past this? From what I understand it actually somehow gets worse when they start outsourcing it to the Philippines
It's a 90s Marvel cartoon, what you see is what you get until it gets worse.
waiting for x-factor
Weakest Magneto child, even weaker than Anya
thats why we love her
>Anya
Who the hell is Anya? How many bastard children does Magneto have?
Did you not watch the episode and see him in speedo at age 80 or something? He probably have 50 more kids we don't know about.
I know Magneto fricks, but how many kids does he have? Can he field a major league basketball team with them?
Not sure, but probably both teams, their cheerleader squats and the first two rows of seat in a stadium.
>Who the hell is Anya?
His young daughter that got killed by an angry mob of humans which was the main trigger that turned him into a “villain”
Only 2 Anya and Polaris
Magneto has 7 kids
Anya (daughter of Magna Maximoff)
Quicksilver (son of Natalya Maximoff)
Scarlet (daughter of Natalya Maximoff)
Polaris (daughter of Suzanne)
Zaladane (mother unknown)
Magnus (son of Rogue *alternate universe)
Charles (son of Rogue *alternate universe*)
5 the twins aren't his kids anymore
They aren’t his kids until they are his kids again.
Why would they the most popular instance of either twin(mcu Wanda) has nothing to do with Magneto
Because that was a decision made when rights to the characters were split. Now they aren’t. This seems like something that shouldn’t have to be explained, but it’s always some wandagay saying “what’s the motivation!?!”. The motivation is whatever the current writer wants to happen in the story from now until the end of time. It only takes one writer to want them to be related again. “But why” is such a moronic question in situations like this.
What happens to mutants in Wakanda?
They don't appear. Wakandan prenatal care fixes the X-Gene before birth with Neogenics.
It makes sense for Zemo to be on board with killing all mutants. I guess Doom just sees them as a threat to Latveria?
He does pull a 9/11 moment in his cameo in the show by telling Bastion that warcrimes are going too far for him.
Doom said that genocide was too much and Bastion got uppity
>all this gayneto was right wank
yawn, need him lobotomized asap
Considering how we saw Cap in a prior episode, I don't know how concrete that shared universe is. Maybe they're just taking parts of it, not all of it.
Will Fury appear? you just know why...
hmm fury is black, sweaty
not on Based Beau's watch
You mean the guy that's been fired?
First two seasons are in the can.
Depends on if he was able to sneak in a Fury cameo before he got shitcanned along the production process.
Beau is the type of guy who would still make Fury black, not just for MCU synergy (which this show already has) but also because he literally recasted all of the POC characters with voice actors accurate to their ethnicities.
But didn't change that characters' ethnicities along with the VAs.
...and yet kept the versions consistent. so we're getting white Nick if he's around
You really think that was up for him and not Disney's ESG mandates?
Isn't it the same universe? they just don't have the balls to make it.
They'll just use Maria and avoid the issue
That way og Fury got memory holed will always be hilarous
As I remember it people actively wanted Samuel Jackson to play him for some reason, and then he phoned it in anyway for an incredibly boring performance
Because Mark Millar made Fury Samuel L Jackson in The Ultimates for the specific purpose of having him play the character in a future movie.
>As I remember it people actively wanted Samuel Jackson to play him for some reason
Ultimate Marvel modeled its Nick Fury after Samuel L Jackson, who allowed them to use his likeness for free as long as he played the character in all the movies
>then he phoned it in anyway for an incredibly boring performance
He basically just played himself but as the cia guy, which became iconic and defined the character. An actual example of Samuel L Jackson phoning it in was Secret Invasion, because Nick was sad and mopey all the time.
I think it’s possible. All they have to do is have him show up in an episode that also has a prominent black character like black panther.
If we're doing multi verse, it'd be hilarious if white Fury met black Fury
They’d both probably get it immediately.
Do we know anything about Fury's parents? It would make sense if Fury's dad sat at a different lunch table in a different universe and got to know/marry a different woman.
Fury was in WW2, so his dad must’ve been pretty progressive.
>OG Fury meets Samuel L. Fury
>Cut to SL Fury crashing a SHIELD ATV into some AIM/HYDRA/whatever group of dickheads base, starting some shit with OG Fury just shooting the fricks. >More or less a recreation of pic related
I hope so
Oooh
Yeap, she was with Best-ion.
How the frick was the phoenix enslaved? Isn't it a cosmic force on par with Galactus
I think she's higher than Galactus. If I'm wrong, I'm sure a comic nerd will correct me.
>Enslave god-tier mutant
>have her building bridges
There wasn't anything else they could have her doing?
Rachel being a brainwashed Hound is true to her origin.
You're not familiar with Phoenix II at all, right? She's a BDSM-slave from the future
This, Rachel is a bdsm fetish-bait character first, cosmic force host a very distant second
>enslave a cosmic force
>have her just building bridges
Really
Animated Kellypool when dammit?
>prime sentinels were taken from the 90s equivalent of /misc/
Lmao
And no one is surprised. The FoH side of things are basically just trump supporters before trump supporters existed.
Rent-free
What does that mean?

turns out Bastion's parents were in the One Man's Worth 2 parter.
BRING BACK DEMAYO
I wonder if they'll address the hundreds of thousand a sudden global emp would kill
>evolve humanity to defeat mutants
>enslaved them to make minal task
What's even the point if they are so advanced? cant they do it themselves?
I loved the whole episode
I hope they bring Beau back
Is that David fricking Bowie?
Bowie is Magneto
So I SHOULD be watching this show? I held off but decided to finally lurk these threads
I hate this shitty posts so much. Decide for yourself in what to waste your time, we don't fricking know you.
Yes but I am worried about the next few seasons as they fired the showrunner for refusing to make big sweeping changes and staying true to teh show.
Not having Robin Atkin Downs voice Zemo is wrong. Even had him in the "additional voices" part.
is bastion a mutant too
I think nimrod infected bastion's dad (cause he can do that apparently), which then pumped techno-cum into his mom and made him some kind of mutant/machine thing.
DEMAYOOO
I'm mad there's no analysis of Madelyine's psychic backlash cause everything's been there so far.
Just finished, holy frick.
Got chills a couple times. Extremely strange to see media that is good and enjoyable like this in current year.
>Mutants replacing humans
:O
>Sentinel prime replacing mutants and making a utopia
):<
He is turning humans into borgfied stroggs.
They will give the reins back to him seeing how successful it is.
Also Feige's days are counted.
I am evolving the human race.
Bastion is a saint and the savior of humanity, cope muttie.
He should put on a red hat
>Nooo you can't evolve more than homosexual superior!!!
>THATS HECKING CHEEEATING!!!
>YOU SHOULD JUST FLOP OVER AND HECKING BE GENOCIDED NOW!!!
Mutant lovers are literal cuckolds.
Evolving more than homosexual Superior which is already a homosexual name, means that you are a troony.
Based, muttie lovers just don't get it.
Bastion is great, and his plan is goated ngl, I am glad the UN support me.
Cope transhumanist homosexual
>Also Feige's days are counted.
"TWO MORE WEEKS"
Don’t know how far he’ll go into the Krakoa era but at the very least I feel like this sets up Orchis Nimrod
Hope we get some more DOOM in the future. If not from this show then from another.
If the F4 end up in this too expect Doom to happen.
If Onslaught happens they'll get involved since he vores Franklin
At that point, they should evolve the show into a full blown marvel universe show, the same way batman/superman tas evolved into justice league unlimited.
I don't think Franklin was born in any of the cartoons
I'm loving X-Men '97 and I hated the Krakoa Era. I hope it only lasts a few episodes if it happens. It'd suck for it to be a whole season.
Who's down for a sausage party at the X-mansion?

Anyone following Mark Brooks' Disney-fied X-Men, pretty pretty good
Gambit bros....
It was a great death
Yeah but I want more Gambit and less Jean
Lol, wait till season 3 then when Demayo's influence is fully gone
Qrd on the gay black man. Does he not like Gambit?
Gay black man got put in charge becuse DEI then Disney fired him because it turned out he was an actual fan that just wanted to continue the show.
That's not what I asked
Yes, he likes Gambit, but he likes Jean much more.
>Likes Jean
Grim
She's one of my favorite X-Men. I don't feel grim about it. I find her presence very reassuring, for some reason. I guess it feels similar to having my mom around.
90s X-Men Jean is probably my least fave Jean, though 97 makes her FAR less useless. Evolution Jean is top tier. Original 90s X-Men Jean needs an ibuprofen bad as all she does is hold her head and groan every episode.
Nta, but she's gotten a major improvement here, the blue halo of her tk is visually nice too
Deanna Troi's existence damaged every single Psychic until Singer's X-men undid that.
>She's one of my favorite X-Men.
I love Jean. I'd never have a negative thought about her. She's the greatest X-Man there is. Sorry, she's the greatest superhero there is. The greatest woman. The best being to have ever lived!
Frick off, Scott.
demayos an emma/maddy fan not a jean fan
KEK. He went on an unhinged twitter rant seething about emma cucking Jean. He's a terminal Jeangay
>emma/maddy fan
Grim.
He's teased age of apoc being season 2 which means gambit being death
Way I see it, if season 2 is him as a horseman and he becomes a central threat, that'd be pretty cool. But I know what you mean, since I'm a huge Remy mark
The cyclops and jean acting like Cable's overprotective parents moments were cute ngl
Jubilee was sexy as frick in the all black
Always has been
I want her to give me a thigh job in her tight black outfit until I turn it white
Our mallrat is growing up ever since she lost her virginity.
>incoming season 2-3 with Vamperlee with kid.
I don't know how to feel about all the non-mutant superhero/villain appearances. Spider-Man is fine since he's usually just swing around New York, but the X-Men cartoons work a lot better than the comics by virtue of the mutants being the only supers around
Jean = best girl
I can’t like Jean, only for the fact that she’s never had a good costume.
Really not even the Phoenix costume
Why do some of the major male characters have women's eyes and lips?
I don't know and it bugs me. Magneto looks zesty as hell
So, Magneto could have stopped what happened in Ganesha, right? me makes Sentinels pointless.
You'd think the sentinels would have featured EMP proofing
No.
He's doing what he is specifically because he's at one of the poles.
So he would have never made it there in time to stop it.
Sentinels have been made of plastic for the majority of the 90s X-Men cartoon
