So I don't hate the 70's outfits but it feels sort of weird to evolve into them. Unless it like for a one time thing this episode because it's the only other costume Scott still has. I hope they get the astonishing fits by the end.
They're not evolving into them. You saw a bunch of the suits like Jean's in background pictures in the original show. Remember that show began in media res with the team already fully assembled and working together other than Jubilee. So these are costumes they wore at one point, it seems. Why they're going back to them is the mystery.
Jean and scott used their original ones, logan and storm didn't so it seemed implied they didn't have them. And in flashbacks we see rouge always used the jacket look.
the moment we get out of demayo's writing I lose all my interest and hopes for this, but I believe we will have the astonishing costumes by the end of the next season
Maybe? But its likley the other writers will be modern x-fans rather than retro-ones like he seems to be.
I dislike that they didn't just give them their later 90s designs I guess. That would have fit the idea better I feel.
>the other writers will be modern x-fans rather than retro-ones like he seems to be
disaster's recipy
Not a fan of the show but I'm glad X-men fans have something where it's mostly people having fun, I mean people didn't seem to like what happened to Cyclops but Cyclops disappointing is an eternal constant in X-men
>people don’t like what happened to cyclops
Are you living under a rock? Cyclops is getting the most praise out of anyone. It’s the best he’s ever been in an adaptation.
Why is Scott and Jean treating Cable like he's younger than them? They're what? In their mid 20s, maybe early 30, while Cable looks like he is in his late 40s, or maybe even 50. It's weird. Cable is way passed the point of needing a parental supervision.
Because he's Scott's son and Jean feels the same way as Maddie and was ready to rase Nate, so they are mentally ready to parent him. Besides every parent will treat their kid like a child even if their a full-grown adult.
I am on episode 5 and while this is an ok show it's a garbage sequel to the old cartoon. Everyone is acting out of character especially Wolverine and I hate the relationship drama every fricking character is having.
The old show was constant romantic drama everytime Scott Jean and wolverine was on screen together. Then you had Rogue and gambit wienerteasing each other. I'm glad Wolverine is slowly becoming less of a sadsack around Jean. He needs to move the frick on.
I think that Beast is the most diverse of the X-Men. In an era when the Gay Acceptance movement has become a matter of public displays of pervertness, and the Trans are just out to ruin everything for everyone, and blacks just can't stop being criminals, "Diversity" is as wanted as "Syphilis". The X-Men have always tried to tell an action story starring the underclass, the underdogs. Kurt and Pioter were hired to be carpenters. Storm was a cult leader escapee. The Morloks were Sewer Homeless. But McCoy? He's gone from a muscled acrobat to full-on body-changing, half-human, thinks he's a cat. He's walking science fiction with the mind of a scientist. I cannot decide if Beast or Pym is more crazy. Oh, Pym has bouts of violence and erratic behavior? 1-Beast works it out in the gym resulting in the physique of a bodybuilder. Because he wants to isolate himself away from all the gross skin humans. 2-The Dark Beast, mostly from the no-Xavier Apocalypse timeline. DB escaped to main 616, so you can never be sure which one is which now. "I can't take it anymore. I'm thinking of escaping to Canada for a week. Wanna come over and cover for me? Meals are included. Just isolate yourself in the lab and don't hurt anyone."
>diversity
Age of Apocalypse is a parable warning against social darwinism. Beast as a character represents the evolution of mutancy. he has flavers of flowers for algernon and dark beast is a reference to casque of amontillado.
the hellfire club are bourgeois snobs that don't care about others, and morlocks are lumpenproletariat who are too scared to do anything but care about themselves
and as far as diversity goes, that's new mutants. dani moonstar is native american and was initially a fill in for mental illness when people didn't believe her visions, rahne comes from abuse by ultra conservative parents, sam guthrie is working class from a mining town (when mining has a socialist history), karma is a war refugee, magik could be a fill in for victim of abuse, and sunspot might also be a class conscious character like cannonball after he finds out his dad has had deals with hellfire club
I find it funny if no one knew anything about what goes on behind the scenes of production no one would give a damn who was in charge of what. Everything is exactly the same as it was in the 90s.
So was Angel a member of the original X-Men in the animated universe? Scott and the other X-Men didn’t know Warren in season one of the nineties show, but when Iceman showed up later there was footage of Angel on the original team. Has the show addressed this yet? This isn’t a “I hope someone got fired for that blunder” thing, I’m just curious if the show has said anything about this.
Nope, they never addressed it at all. You're just supposed to take it at face value that the later comic-compliant appearances/flashbacks are the correct sequence of events. It would be great if they addressed this somehow.
He's a foil to show how much Jubilee has matured since the start of the original. Also, >complaining that they're including X-men characters in an X-men
It would've been executed better without the stilted flirting.
>complaining that they're including X-men characters in an X-men
It's worth it when they only exist to fill a role with barely any of their personality or relevance intact.
>It would be great if they addressed this somehow.
They could say Xavier mind wiped their memories of Angel and then maybe reversed it later when they encountered him, maybe Warren even asked him to. After all, Xavier did do that type of thing in the original Lee/Kirby comics.
So all the human sentinels are people who lost their jobs but are portrayed as FAUX News or /misc/ people as if they are the bad guys? Do these morons actually think blacks and gays are some positive replacement to white heterosexuals and we should just stand aside? This message is moronic and I am not even a racist. X-Men should be treated like a balancing act. Oppression bad but the oppressed can easily be the oppressors really quick and this story is basically celebrating that.
The huehuehuehue Brazilian kid really bogs down this show and of course since he is a Hispanic on American TV he has to break into random Portuguese mid sentence. Why did the show need a brown retelling of Jubilee? So they can fit in a "rich people bad" message?
He's a foil to show how much Jubilee has matured since the start of the original. Also, >complaining that they're including X-men characters in an X-men
I would have much rather had a 90s x-kid than him tbh. And forcing him to be a love interest to jubes.

Tho being fair, they're making him a villain apparently.
that they're including X-men characters in an X-men >it's in the comics so it matters
when are you autists going to realize this makes no sense anymore with how much disney picks and chooses and changes the lore as they see fit. I don't care if he was a founding member of the x-men his character is annoying and he is just retreading jubilees story again
Anon, you fricking moron. They put the character in for the exact same reason they put jubilee in. To give people who don’t know shit about X-men a pov character.
>They put the character in for the exact same reason they put jubilee in. To give people who don’t know shit about X-men a pov character.
A show that is a sequel to a show from the 9-'s doesn't need that anon and if they felt they did Jubilee is still that character
Plenty of people are going to start with ‘97 who haven’t watched the original. Don’t be moronic. Think of the utility of having a new character there episode 1 >explain to him what sentinels are >explain to him what the x-men are >explain that bishop is a time traveler and has a time travel device >explain who Magneto is and his relationship to Charles
This show is made to be watched by as many people as possible. Skipping the exposition and jumping in to the story without it would objectively be an idiotic move.
Like I said, shows are made for the widest possible audience they can reach. That includes people that know absolutely nothing about X-men. It also includes people that may have watched one or two movies that came out decades ago. Maybe they watched like four episodes of the old show in the 90s and that’s it. It’s like how comic stories always had a page explaining what had happened so far in the current story, so that new people can jump in and see what’s up.
>Plenty of people are going to start with ‘97 who haven’t watched the original.
Not my problem and Jubilee would have still been fine to be that character if they needed it. I don't know if you watch modern capeshit, they don't rely on that character type much anymore.
Everything you listed was explained in the 1st episode just fine by the characters talking to each other in scenes the huehuehuehue was not in moron. Are we arguing for the sake of arguing now?
What, do you want the characters to explain things to Jubilee that she already knows? That’s what good writing is to you? >Hey Jubilee, this is the danger room, it’s where we train. that’s Magneto. He and Charles were friends” >”yeah I know”

It’s the most organic way of doing the exposition. We have examples of your suggestion in the show and how awkard your way of doing it comes across. In episode 1, when Rogue enters the club she explains to Gambit how her powers work. Gambit already knows this. It’s done so that the audience knows, but when we know that both characters already know this shit, it comes off as really weird.

You need a show to be good. Characters explaining basic this that they already know to themselves is moronic. It’s what someone that’s shit at writing would do. Introducing a new character is the fastest way to get past all that bullshit and get to the story you want to tell. I can’t imagine wanting the show to be >•you know wolverine, bishop’s from the future, so we have to fix his time travel device” >”How’s it going Jean, did you know that the professor and Magneto were best friends.” >”Hey Storm, ever heard of the Sentinelz, they’re robots that hunt down mutants.

It was explained by the characters just talking TO Sunspot. You need to know what sentinels are before Trask shows up and you need to know that Magneto and Xavier were friends and that Magneto is a villain before Magneto shows up by the end of episode 1. It’s like you’ve never read a comic.Recaps are commonplace. Explain to someone what you just did last issue so the reader knows since they may not have read the last issue.

So you just have an issue with viewpoint characters that get people into a show because for some reason you think this show is purely a continuation of the old show and not a place for new audiences to enter. Surely you know more then the people making the thing.

It sucks that Sunspot's use on this show is making so many people that didn't know him before, hate him
Or they could find a more organic way to explain base concepts the audience should already be familiar with instead of a nuisance who's barely relevant to the proceedings outside of exposition.
Here’s your 3 options. Clearly they picked the best one: >no exposition,
leave anyone that doesn’t know anything in the dark. Terrible business decision. >exposition to a character that doesn’t really matter
Gives your audience the exposition and allows you to follow characters you actually care about >exposition to a new character that gets centered in the story
You’re stuck with some shitty new character being the main character instead of the characters you actually like

Or they could do it similarly to how Jubilee was handled in the original, where she's a constant presence that doesn't overshadow anyone else. At least when she went missing from the plot, it was implied she was learning, not because she couldn't be bothered.

He is similar to Jubilee in that he’s barely there and barely matters, which is for the best because it means we get more time with the good X-Men characters. It’s crazy to me that people are bothered by a character that may have 10 minutes of screentime in the entire show.

It wasn't perfect but I thought they did a decent enough job of Wolverine being willing to take on a burden as the price of preventing other people from getting their hands dirty.
He then feels betrayed that Scott builds on that and gets everyones hands dirty.
I've said this since episode 3 but genuinely, Disney is fricked for their MCU X-shit. The quality of this and the grip on both new and old fans is actually insane for a superhero cartoon. There's just such little shit they can even do now to warrant a new film franchise.
Why the frick did they even wait while they did all that other bullshit after Endgame? MCU got rid of/or ruined all their A-Listers while they had their acquired FF and X-Men all-stars rotting on injured reserve. Nobody wanted to see the lame ass second stringers play.
So I think it was a combination of ego and contract issues. It's been rumored for awhile now that the X-Men were on hold due to Disney not being able to recast the actors until after 2025. However Disney was also equally stupid as they genuinely thought the hype from 2019 would last until they're multiverse saga finished. Which was initially planned to be over by 2026. 97 was most likely only made to hold people over until the "big boy" mcu X-Men came around. Only for that to backfire hard on them and have this be one of the most praised and talked about Disney/Marvel thing since basically No Way Home.

Honestly. After Endgame, OG Thunderbolts lineup was the perfect time to set them up. The universe is restored but the future still looks bleak. No Iron Man, no Cap, no Widow etc.
OG TBolts would have introduced interesting themes, the logical direction of villains taking advantage of the planet's vulnerability, then instead of Multiverse, it would have been a lead in to Dark Avengers/Masters of Evil saga where the villains take the forefront and don't just die in one movie. It would have helped fixed everyone's issues with Marvel about lame villains and them not being reoccurring.
It's why I mentioned OG Thunderbolts instead. Their whole stick outside the twist was the moral clashing of the team and what it takes for them to be heros, villains or in-between and would have segued nicely into a more villain-focused phase.
Maybe after being the final boss The Rock would play a hammy over the top villian. I think The Rock as an Apocalypse similar to either of the x men animated series would work. Evolution Apoc looked like Scorpion King when he was younger and Tas type Apoc would work very well with The Rock.
I think the most telling thing is that most of the interest isn't even about this being a followup to the 90s show. It's literally just a good superhero cartoon in 2024. That's how easy it is to gain an audience but that seems to allude these big companies.

Nobody but nostalgia gays care about X-Men 97. Hell not even Cinemaphile cares given how dead discussion has been throughout this season
>The quality of this and the grip on both new and old fans is actually insane for a superhero cartoon.
Quality on what? The animation is quite bad, the voice acting is ok, the writing is ok as well but nothing about it is "insanely high quality".
>The animation is quite bad
The animation while janky in places, is some best animation for a superhero show I've seen in years but it's still not as good as Evolution is in places but the movement is mostly all solid stuff like it's way better than how 92 show was animated that for damn sure and people who complain are mostly getting ARTSTYLE mixed up with ANIMATION because 92 show was not a well animated show...it was animated by AKOM the studio that was fired by Batman TAS team and some of jankiest stiff animation from the era.
not that anon, I will always be conflicted because while Evolution does have the Best animation of any x-men show, I still don't like the design of most characters
No Madhouse did the X-Men anime but TMS did Evolution and yes Spider-Man 94 which has lot of good animation shots but the problem with that show is the annoying editing and weird framing...I mean 92 X-Men had that problem two which there's a few eps of 92 X-Men not done by AKOM but different Philippine studio that look surreal as frick like animation good in places but also like janky and design like insanely detailed.

You're fricking blind.
>The quality of this and the grip on both new and old fans is actually insane for a superhero cartoon. There's just such little shit they can even do now to warrant a new film franchise.
Cinemaphile arent important audience anon
The live action stuff has been fricked since they had a time skip, featuring major events that are never given any depth, so ultimately everything feels off as there is no weight to actions anymore, especially with the multiverse.
It is fricked, but the normies who disregard animation and prefer their celebrities in the costumes will ignore the truth and give MCU billions.
I do not put it past them to ruin 97 by forcing it into the movies so they can get a piece of the pie.
I mean, right or not, Cykes is afraid for Jean and Nathan. It's understandable. What's Rogue excuse tho? She is a traitor who turned against her family.
>nobody cares that he’s trying to frick Jean
Cause it's the other way around, the soulless ginger just can't stop thinking about his hairy smelly midget wiener
I do not understand this. Scott lost his wife in Genosha, Cable lost his mother. They're both fine. Rogue lost the guy she had cucked several times and suddenly she becomes full schizo.
Cable's probably seen his mother being vaporised many times. Cyclops barely held his child before losing him. It's either bad writing or very based writing that only the woman goes nuts enough to betray everything her man fought for.
Scott is the one to blame for this shit. Charles already had everything under control. Now I want to see Logan maul the shit out of Granny Goodness since he has no disadvantage aganst him anymore
gambit will come back next season, and rogue will stop being such an utter c**t, and then ill get a blowjob from the pretty cashier that smiled at me the other day and then we will get married and have many children in our mansion. I know it will happen. but yeah frick rogue, not in the magneto way though
Does Beau hate Magneto or? Because I'm finding it hard to gauge what his opinions on Mags even is. He's already not so subtly stated on twitter before he doesn't care for israelites. But it also feels like he wants us to root for Mags at times.
He says Magneto is right, but then has him kill thousands and ruin the world with his magnetic field, making him one of two villains the heroes have to kill to save the world
That's the undertone of the show that people are really missing. The show is progressive woke bullshit through and through. "You are right on murdering the 99% for the deeds of the 1%". It's also a show for people who can't understand per capita, like probably the black author.
The woke undertone of this show is kinda ruining it for me. I can't even enjoy the gray morality because I know that it boils down to some angry BLM ape jerking off to the idea of killing westerners (only the white ones of course).
Xavier obviously wanted to trick Magneto into being a gud boy. And half of the other timelines have Magneto running the X-Men more or less successfully. He's not a bad choice, he just needs to apply some ACME de-edger.
X men continuity just feels super bleak and convoluted if you imagine all the big "muties going extinct" events over the last 20 years have happened back to back.
That's why I hope this show doesn't do M-day or Krakoa, mutants can only take so many Ls before you stop caring
>mutants can only take so many Ls before you stop caring
Not really. They're the objective cosmic master race. There's literally no other group that has more heavy hitters than them. Adult Franklyn, Nate, peak Jean and, peak David, can solo pretty much anything the setting has.
Franklyn is the seed of the next universe. Nate is peak psionics - an already broken energy vector. Jean is the avatar of the phoenix which is a multiversal force. David is the best reality warper documented.
These four people were born within 80 years of each other. Unless mutants took CONSTANT fricking Ls from robust and competent factions there'd be no fricking story because we'd just get the phoenix five arc but this time with natural mutant powers and no Chuck to ruin everything.
Reminder Reed said Scott was right during the event and Reed is canonically the smartest entity there is - to the point where he equals cosmic existences.
Mutants getting fricked has to be the status quo because if it weren't they'd literally be Gods. Either they'd ascend and leave earth to search out the few mysteries of existence left to such a dauntless society or they'd have the entire universe tard-wrangled in a matter of hours living as God Emperors.
The story of Marvel mutants is not unlike Call of Cuthullu, with some mundane moron delaying the inevitable by accidentally doming a force beyond his comprehension.
Twice in the season, she sided with Magneto, who got rid of her as soon as she became legal, while watching Gambit and Wolverine, who saved her life a million times, get skewered.
100% Rogue is going to start fricking Magneto again now that she joined him and Gambit is still dead. So when Gambit comes back it will make things extra awkward again.
Gambit is coming back as a Horseman, and we will get punished rogue arc so we thrive on her getting fricked 24/7 for being a traitor hunted down by everyone, which is what Mystique wants it.
Did Bastion see this coming? It doesn't make sense otherwise why he'd teleport this dummy out of the path of the death ray unless he figured he would distract the team long enough to take over
>Rogue actor commits genosha 9/11 on roids >Most UN nations help up to a reasonable degree >I must now destroy the world and cause an apocalyptic state >:( >No!! I AM NOT GOING TO STOP THE ROGUE ACTOR FRICK YOU I AM GONNA KILL ALL HUMMIES REEEEE!!!!
Bro tried once and gave up the second shit didn't go his way he just pulls out abusing his godlike powers.
Like storm, mf got a god complex and nobody is willing to call em out for it.
>bro just let them genocide your dudes if you fight back you're racist
He was only ever wrong because it's a show about "heroes" who will always be right by default because they're the good guys.
Magneto dragged the entire world, full of both humans and mutans that had nothing to do with Genosha, into this.
He's not limiting his targets to the people that caused the incident. He's trying to punish an entire planet.
More people are going to hate mutants in general after this, and it's his fault.
His entire point is that co-existence is never going to work. If the X-Men stood by him they'd have the world by the balls and could dictate terms because humans have no answer to buckethead turning off the earths magnetic field.
And now that the madlad actually did it, instead of making use of it they're going to stab his ass and throw away their their biggest asset so they can go back to being victims.
The world hates mutants because they're fricking dumb.

Magneto took out the bastion-bots before they could kill even more mutants, if you've been reading X-books you know what happens when mutants are down. Humanity always tries to exterminate them.
You make peace with the strong.
You know the main problem of X-men is pretending that Magneto ins't straight up moronic but rather an anti villain with a point, it actually hurts the entire writing. He's unironically dumber than Eren Yeager and Eren was fricking dumb.
Magneto is kind of moronic, but he's right about humans vs mutants. The conflict between X-Men and The Brotherhood should have been solved by Rightclops realizing you need both the carrot and the stick. You can't call Magneto moronic without calling Xavier & Co. moronic as well.

Coexistence doesn’t work because Marvel is fricking moronic and doesn’t see the contradiction of having superpowers freaks being an analogy for oppressed minorities in a world filled with superpowered freaks. Say what you will about the movies, but making mutants the only people in that world with powers was the right call; it was more believable that they would be feared and hated when Hulk, Spider-Man, or Thor didn’t exist to cause massive amounts of property damage on a daily basis.

Nah, coexistence doesn't work due to blatant plot, it's simply bad writting, there is literally no reason why it can't work when he have groups literally identical to mutants like the inhumans not having to deal with the exact same shit as mutants even though they are in every single possible way the same and never mind the whole mutates and mutants bullshit since mutates can produce superpowered offspring just like mutants making them identical to mutants as well.

That also doesn’t make any fricking sense because they’re still human—they were just born with a gene that gives them powers. Mutations occur in human biology all the time; it’s not like we treat cancer patients or conjoined twins like a separate species. If anything, humanity evolving to the point where they naturally gain superpowers should be seen as a good thing.

It's actually even worse when we remember all humans have the mutant gene and humans inevitably produce thousands of mutants every decade while mutant couples are shown to have normal human kids half of the time.
One group simply can't eradicate the other. Mutants can't possibly make a country of their own because they are unable to tell if their babies will be normal or with powers, many times only developing when they are middle aged.

While i generally agree with your arguments, let me play the devils advocate here: The mutant gene is often speculated to be alien or non-human at least in origin. And i'm not sure if it got retconned but there used to an "extinction gene" which meant that every human would become a mutant, so you might be able to make the argument that killing off mutants and stopping the x-gene from activating was the only way to stop humanity from ceasing to exist.
It's just a bit hamfisted, because the general idea is that humans just hate mutants because they're bigoted jerks, and the writers rarely seem to care beyond that.
If you were told that humanity was going to turn into a bunch of super morons and you had the option of becoming a living sentinel instead, what would you choose? If you don't roll dubs, you just become Barnell Bohusk btw.
pic somewhat related, my pro-mutant argument

Even if mutants turn the majority nothing changes because they are...humans, every single person got that damn gene already, mutants have no change in their minds and most of them got no change on their physical bodies that is any different than any crippled individual. And even in universe this division is simply artificial, several non mutants got powers through the mutant gene and are not seen as mutants, humans are also tolerant over literal alien species moving to earth, species that somehow can reproduce with humans creating hybrids that can eventually outnumber humans
Really X-Men lore is just poorly written, it's bad even by fiction standards when compared to almost any other franchise with a mutant vs human conflict or human vs human subspecies conflict.

Anon, Magneto wants to actively kill all humans so mutants can exist in peace. While he has a better motivation than Bastion, his plan is the exact same: murder an entire species so mine can live freely. He’s an extremist who exists due to other extremists oppressing him, thereby continuing the cycle.
Xavier is wrong in begging for tolerance when he should demand it, that is true. But he’s not wrong in not wanting total human genocide (Magneto) or total mutant genocide (Bastion). They’re both monsters created by human failure.

And yet he is anal when DOOM or Kang states that evert fricking future where the mutants does that it is the one where mankind wipes them out in self-defense.

He never wanted to kill all humans, he just wanted to subjugate them so mutants could be free. The reasons why he slaughtered them in terrorist attacks was because he thought he could scare them into compliance, not because he wanted to exterminate them.
Xavier and Magneto are both morons, one is too limp wristed, and the other too heavy handed. They're both arrogant idiots obsessed with their own hubris.
I'm a devout Rightclops enjoyer btw.
Actually most UN nations refused to accept mutants back and sent no help to Genosha, leaving them to die. That rouge individual also operated within the US government so if they had done their job properly, they would have found out.
How they divided the team was moronic. Specifically, where they sent nightcrawler. They ended up fighting rogue and Roberto anyway. He would've been better if he was on the golden team. His power and jean's could've snuck the choker onto bastion
They really made Rogue nothing but a booty call for Magneto in this show, every time when he’s around her she submits to him and does whatever he wants, even in episode 5 Gambit told Rogue that he was just using her for easy ass and that he’ll eventually break her heart again and she still went back to him
Xavier is met with some distrust, but the X-Men focus on stopping Bastion and convincing Magneto to reverse his blackout. Magneto re-establishes his mutant haven on Asteroid M, choosing to leave Earth without power and reject Xavier's dream of mutant/human co-existence. He invites the X-Men to join him, which Rogue and Roberto do. The rest of the X-Men return to their former base on Muir Island to regroup, before splitting into two teams: Cyclops's Blue Team goes to Asteroid M to confront Magneto while Storm and Jean's Gold Team heads to Bastion's hideout in the Galapagos Islands with a collar that can block Bastion's technopathy, severing his control over the Sentinels. The Gold Team battle Sinister and an army of Sentinels that Bastion is powering himself. Sinister takes control of Cable's mind and uses him to overpower Jean, who sends a desperate psychic message to Cyclops. On Asteroid M, Xavier attempts to take control of Magneto's mind but is blocked. Wolverine stabs and seriously injures Magneto, who begins ripping the adamantium metal from Wolverine's skeleton.
- Rogue and Roberto join Magneto!
- The X-Men don their old costumes!
- Blue and Gold teams!
- Jean and Storm have a sisters moment!
- Forge and Storm take on the sentinels!
- Morph turns into the Hulk!
- Jean vs Mr. Sinister!
- Jean vs Cable!
- Prof X mind blasts Magneto but is stopped by Cyclops!
- Wolverine stabs Magneto!
- Magneto rips the adamantium from Wolverine!
That has always been the dumbest trait of his character, he lost way more in the holocaust than any mutant persecution, instead of being aware of his israeli lineage he decided to make up a fake identity based on mutations even though his daughter wans't even one.
If everybody on earth turns into a mutant he will just be another israeli guy again, then anti semitism will be his only problem again. Magneto is a really silly person when you think about it for even a few minutes.
>Weird and bad
This is comic faithful though
Xavier and Magneto are flawed where when things get bad they give into their worse impulses
Magneto gives up and gives into nihilism Xavier stubbornly fixates on idealism. That’s why Magneto always falls and that’s why Xavier’s plans never bare fruit.
I'm curious where they go for season 2, Kelly and the X men are exhausted with Xavier's patience for Magnetos fully done with Xavier's dream after Genosha
I'm gonna go with post M-day vibes just without M-day happening. Leads into everyone bashing Xavier's ideals since it's clearly no longer working and Cyclops takes the lead. Apocalypse rears his ugly head and leads other mutants into an uprising, causing a schism of mutantkind - survive as an X-Man in a human world or destroy them with Apocalypse and mutant supremacy.
They did all this just because really just wanted to make their own team with new costumes huh? I mean I don't mind, the same team for so long does get kinda old one thing I dislike about 92 show was lack of rotating cast, Evolution at least give us side character students who got some spot light and Wolverine and X-Men was all about going around running into mutants., 92 was mainly just cameos and that it..besides like the Nightcrawler and X-Factor eps.
So I'm not gonna act like I remember the original X-Men cartoon all that well, but since when did Sinister become Aku?
I remember him having hypnosis, healing factor and energy beams. Certainly not this level of shapeshifting.
That was always his power set.
It's just that especially for back then it'd be a nightmare to animate.
Same with Jean.
The staff are going out of their way to demonstrate that their powers don't actually suck at all. Though we have to accept that the Jean vs Sinister fight is why we don't actually get to see the gore of Wolverine getting his metal pulled out
Magneto will die ofc, and return as Xornetto.
Rogue will be hated til the last minute when she and Bastion are dragged into whatever the adaptation of Siege Perilous happen.
Jean will return as Phoenix because Sinister needs her for it.
Season 2 will be Onslaught and Cassandra Nova.
You're all focusing on "man with metal bones against Magneto", but another thing bothers me. >stab Magneto >go for anything but the heart for instant kill
Is Logan moronic? He had exactly one shot and he wasted it.
Cut him some slack, magneto is like real fricking tall Germanic dude, while Wolverine is a malnourished bri'ish Canadian boy, he couldn't reach any higher.
I think I know what I'm not liking this show.
Original tas had only 13 episodes per season and about three different mini arcs and some standalone episodes for comic relief and character development. They were related to the others but also work individually. The one when they meet Nightcrawler comes to mind.
New show is one single arc divided in ten because modern writers are too dumb to create different stories (nutrek main issue) and lack brevity. They just can make a good storyline that only lasts 20 minutes.
I guess the reason is that that's the only way to get the zoomers' to watch it due to their terrible attention span.
And you can watch the OG again if you want fillers that gets you acquanted with the characters. 97 is all busines. It already assumes you love the characters. It's all depth, conflict, and drama and I'm digging it.
She is going to kill herself to save everyone from bastion if they go for the Siege Perilous ending, the team will be shattered after it with cyclops hating Cable, Chuck going Onslaught slowly and Magneto = Dead til Xorn.
Nah, raitings aren't that great. Normies aren't watching this show.
The show is for fans, normalgays are occupied watching whatever the rainbow gay enabler garbage that is on CN.
It’s so good that she needs it like a fish needs water. It only took Magneto being around the academy for a couple days for her to start cucking Gambit, and she was cucking him blatantly not even trying to hide it. Mags is the only guy that can tame Rogue and she knows it.
They truly know how to write women.
"The man i love died saving my life and the life of many and that's why I'm now joining the genocide faction leaded by the old fart I dumped him for the first time. This is what he would have wanted me to do"
God, she cucked him once more after death.
They understand that you judge women based on their actions, not their words. Rogue said that she “loved” Gambit more than Magneto but her actions on multiple occasions says the opposite. If both Magneto and Gambit are around her she will always gravitate more to Magneto, they have almost an instinctual sexual attraction for each other because of their powers. Magneto has to willingly remove himself from the picture for her to settle with Gambit.
>Magneto has to willingly remove himself from the picture for her to settle with Gambit.
Right. He saved them both after knowing she chose him at the end. She's insulting both men's sacrifices. What a truly horrible character.
He sees the destruction happening during this war and like that time with the Spot, decides to intervene for "there is no profit to be made if the world is destroyed. It is very bad for business."
>rhino
mags would just swallow shocker's power and turn vulture into a metal ball >bringing robotics to Bastion
hilariously enough I can see Scorpion work but he's a dumbass
Doc Ock is fricked either way. I suppose his direct connection to his tentacles could subvert Bastion's technopathy. Doesn't help that Mysterio's dead and Chameleon is a traitor. That just limits the field to a jailed Hobgoblin and maybe Big Wheel.
Every episode of this make me realize how Magneto is right
Fuk the Xmen literal onions lefty lunatics.
We have to stop tolerating hateful people that are brainwashed by extremists fascists religions to not tolerate you, even their babies.
Sometimes in life we really do have to chose to genocide to survive
The person who made this show agrees with you, except he thinks you're the one who needs to be exterminated if only because you post here and that makes you an evil Nazi.
That's why people like Magneto are wrong, because at the end, their standards become vague. Human allies to mutants are not gonna make it. Beau himself wouldn't make him for being hostile to the certain groups.
That's why people like Magneto are never right. The "he's right" crowd either have a death wish or think he's gonna spare them for being good allies, just like all those whites who were totally not stomped by BLM, lol.
Yeah, all you have to do is to force mutants to kill like half of their own kids after their go through puberty without powers, till the end of time since the odds of having human kids is very high even if both sides are mutants and if those humans breed with a mutant the odds of a normal kid being born is even higher.
and then you kill any mutant that go through any the several ways which can take away your mutations
Most humans don't give a shit If they all move to their own country. It was a few morons and a robot from the future who fricked up things and got mutants and humans killed at the end.
>Jeangays happy about the Phoenix return not seeing it as a death mark for the character
Kek, I want to see their reaction when s2 replaces her with Emma
She's had subtle build ups. Like her noticing the Cyke/Pryor affair and surviving Genosha. She's definitely coming in as an X-Men lock for season 2. Emma's ability to create drama is too perfect for X-Men soap to lose.
If he really didn't care, she wouldn't have had those moments.
This cool looking bastard is going to get a single episode if that because all he's remembered for is pretending to be Apocalypse and being ripped to shreds by bone claw Wolverine.
Rewatching the old series and he shows up in Time Fugitives. Pretty nice moment with Cable. It'd be nice to see more of Cable as a father to Tyler or Hope, especially with Cable's current story with Cyclops.
So Morph's power is that he can change into any person he wants in appearance AND he also has their powers? So he's Mystique and Rogue combined? The man is OP. WTF.
I expected more from Morph especially with how they played up his involvement with Sinister. The old show had a good story with Morph. Maybe going too lighthearted/comedy with him was the wrong direction.
Jean reached out to him indicating that Gold Team was jobbing super hard
If Xavier turns the power back on they're all dead because the Prime Sentinels will curb stomp them.
Xavier indicated he was going to prioritize stopping the damage Magneto had done to the Gold Team. This whole episode had been building up to the fact that Cyclops was questioning Xavier's decision making skills, which when you consider the Team comps Xavier made he has every right to.
Cyclops and Wolverine absolutely on the wrong teams because Cyclops time and time again has shown he'd prioritize Jean over anything else and Wolverine should not be anywhere near a Magneto this unstable.
I think it plays into Rogue mentioning X Men and mutants getting killed earlier. If Xavier fixed the emp Gold Team would have most likely been killed by Prime Sentinels. There's definitely a theme of X Men dieing for the cause. In the old show Cyclops struggled with his decision to leave Morph behind. The story for Cyclops this season has been about being caught in between his devotion to the X Men or his family.
>Send Cyclops, Jean, Forge, Storm, Wolverine to Bastion >Send Cable, Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Beast, Xavier, Morph to Magneto
It was that fricking easy you stupid fricking bald man. Cyclops always curb stomps Sinister and Jean and Wolverine can easily wombo combo Bastion.
You have Jubilee and Nightcralwer for emotional manipulation against Sunspot and Rogue and then you have Beast and Morph who just need to get a fricking helmet off which you don't need a metal skeleton for.
This show is adding way too many characters in its short season. It feels like a WWE match every episode. They are about to lose and in comes random character to run in and save them and then end on a cliffhanger.
>Bastion knows Sinister is traitorous snake just waiting to bite him, while Sinister knows Bastion is genocidal villain that plans to turn on him the moment it suits him >Both making it obvious they're just using each other. Despite this, they make a great team
I love the relationship the villain duo have right now. They completely hate each other and are just waiting to stab the other' back, yet they seem to know each other so well but it doesn't change how they see each other. It's great.
Blue team clearly needed to swap Wolverine with someone else, Beast being the better option with similar powersets vs Mags.
I would say Jean with Xavier but I don't think Jean would have the balls to mind delete Mags which is why Xavier offered. Plus it's beneficial to have two telepaths on two separate teams. Ideally Cyke + Cable is probably a better duo.
Jubes with Cable maybe? Not a powerhouse but sending both Jean and Cable knowing Sinister was there was pretty bad plus JubesXSunspot might get in the way.
>Cyclops
Gold. Cyclops always cooks Sinister and he can take out Sentinels pretty well >Jean
Gold. Needs to function as the communication between Blue and Gold Team. Also needs to be near Cyclops to mitigate him making bad choices to save her >Storm
Gold. Much stronger in the Atmosphere. She only went down because she got distracted by Forge going down >Forge
Gold. You need him there to deal with Bastion if they need a tech solution >Wolverine
Gold. Entirely to keep him away from Magneto no matter how much he wants to gank him. He is always a liability more than an asset in Magneto fights because as demonstrated, him not getting fricked entirely relies on Magneto playing soft >Beast
Blue. Can deal with Rogue and is agile enough that he has a good chance at unmasking magneto >Nightcrawler
Blue. Can BAMPH to get the Helmet off and can also be used as an emotional tool against Rogue >Jubilee
Blue. Entirely to be used as an emotional tool against Sunspot. Her job is to keep him occupied. >Morph
Blue. His power set is good against Magneto and he has an easier time escaping being bound than anyone else. Plenty of mutants whose physical abilities he could mimic to get that helmet off. >Xavier
Blue. Mandatory. >Cable
This is the complicated one. He SHOULD go with Blue Team but there's no way he wouldn't force himself on Gold Team despite him being more a liability on Gold Team.
The mind conditioning with Madelyn and Morph made them into more evil versions of themselves who justified their behavior while also serving Siniter's interests.
Do people who think Magneto is right are just thinking he's out to kill Whitey/Jews/Ethnic minority they hate? He's not. If he existed IRL, Mags would kill all his fans that think he was right because all of them are human too, the race he wants to exterminate.
I hate Twitter for excusing Jean cucking Cyclops with Wolverine but being furious when Cyclops does it back with her clone. Not only that, but Jean literally calls her clone, who is pretty much a twin sister to her, a "it." Jean is a total b***h and I don't get why she has so many fans.
Clone NewJeans is way better than Real Old Jeans and it's not even close. Her death still affects me, because it was done so well with her last thoughts being about Cable surviving, yet if Jean died? I doubt I would even care at this point. Jean calls her clone a "it" but she was more human than Jean ever was.
Why the frick would you care what twitter has to say?
Twitter thinks Magneto is right.
Fundamentally speaking the series agrees with this statement. Chuck's philosophy (or at least the contemporary version of it) was naive and short sighted. His original approach was more sensible than magnetos but that isolationist "we deal with our own and stay out of everyone else's way" is now Cykes philosophy and his arc to get there is more satisfying than Xavier's stories to begin with.
It basically boils down to >we should marytr ourselves to show we aren't a threat (Chuck) >we should integrate and minimize our differences (Havock, Logan) >we should look after our own and stop interacting with humans as much as possible (Scott) >we should proactively kill humans because reacting to them is too risky for an unprepared and dispersed people (Eric)
A UPN exec/90s boss b***h wanted the show to be more female focused, incorporating fashion, etc. They axed the Season 1 crew. It got the EMH Season 2 treatment, but worse.
I hate the camels because they only highlight how absolutely moronic it is that the X-Men are literally the only capes responding to TWO genocidal, crisis-level threats. Where the frick are the Avengers during all of this?
>Where the frick are the Avengers during all of this?
No one cares about mutants. Do you see how little interest there is in the wider world around Palestine. People talk the talk but they have more pressing things to do. That's what happening here.
This isn’t really about mutants anymore. Bastion turned thousands of humans into cyborg zombies. Magneto destroyed the planet’s magnetosphere and literally all life on Earth is dying. This shit absolutely affects humans.
I just noticed something, Magneto is really fricking dumb. Compare him to the Master from Fallout, or Eren from AoT or Namor or any similar villain, unlike him their plans can work, he's very fricking stupid, his plans clearly can't possibly end up well in any scenario, the fact anyone even takes him seriously in the show is ridiculous.
Chuck didn't rebut him because the show wants Magneto to be right. Otherwise anyone can tell that killing millions of humans, including children, the elderly, the poor etc is bad and if anything will only make humans want to kill mutants more.
>that killing millions of humans, including children, the elderly, the poor etc is bad and if anything will only make humans want to kill mutants more.
the mutants were not doing that
yet they still get attacked and hated by Humans
enough is enough!
human babies are gonna die today
Why wouldn't humans hate people who can kill by the dozens easily? Why should they tolerate Magneto living when he can literally destroy the planet on a whim?
Humies should just accept they'll become muties. There's no harm in it. You're not even being directly replaced when you think about it. Your own 100% genetic children can be mutants too. You can literally just have better kids. I'd be all in.
FRICK sentinels and Starkgays. AI is an entirely different continuity, computers taking primacy is like mammals replacing the dinosaurs. A mutant take over is like replacing the cave man slowly over time with the modern man.
Outside of mutants getting killed and regular racism, is life that bad for them? They aren't suggrated segregated snd most won't even know your one unless it effects your appearance, you get cool powers, most people are scare of you, they most likely can't kill you. What's the issue?
I just don't care for this version of Jubilee.
The design looks inferior to me and I like the original voice because it's the same voice as my first crush too much.
>Xavier mentions that he considered Bastion to be one of the first mutants he wanted recruited
So the Nimrod that infected Bastion before he was born was a Nimrod from another future alternative timeline that went back in time and infected Bastion's father before the X-men were founded. It's not the same Nimrod the X-men defeated in the original series?
Pretty wild how a 2024 cartoon gets to be less censored than a comic from 1993. Magneto getting angry enough to rip the adamantium out of Wolverine was supposed to be because Wolverine had just carved a giant X into his chest, but the Comics Code Authority thought that was too violent. So instead he's just shocked to see that Wolverine had managed to carve his shirt off his chest without touching any of the skin beneath it.
Roberto fumbled a bad b***h
dunno why, but i keep getting vampire!jubilee vibes from this.
Because its using that design?
I can accept the others getting their 80s design, but I don't like jubilee having her 2010s one. Couldnt they have used one of her generation x looks?
Gen X suit kinda sucks.
So? Its a 90s show, i expect 90s designs.
They could have used one of the good ones.
"All the black leather is making people nervous."
she looks like a rejected teen titan
It's almost the exact design. Not that I'm complaining, it's damn good
It is the same except it full body and the hair different.
BLACK LEATHER!?
So, this is a mix match of 80s, 90s and 00 consumes? Interesting choice for a show based of 97 timeline.
Have some faith, Morph hasn't let you down, and he won't start now.
I want to frick the sparks out of her.
Boobs?
yeah no it ain't working on this colour palette
not bad but feels blank, needs some sort of yellow lines or a belt or something
Way better than her old shit. Hindsight really goes a long way
That was what J was wearing on the cover of some ish once. It looked pretty good.
I'm the only person on Earth that wishes she went in this direction
Wrong. I want it to.
But I thought BLACK LEATHER BAD?
Started by jealous uggos that could never pull it off
She has a lot more color even without the jacket, such as the purple collar.
Damn Famke was a fox.
Her peak was goldeneye
I THINK THE PHOENIX SUCKS!
I THINK THE AVENGERS SUCK
As an empath i can sense your sincerity.
schwing
As a kid, I was conflicted between her being old but also really hot
Sexo
>X-Men 97 turn into Pryde of the X-Men
>No Kitty
WHY OH WHY?
she was a sacrificial goat to get the original show greenlit which is ironic since she was the main character and had her name in the pilot
Kitty pretty much had the same role as Jubilee. There’s little point in having them both and Jubilee was always a much cooler character.
Thank god. Kitty is so boring.
Jubilee is next to go.
Because she is shit. Frick that bald c**t of Bendis.
Because frick Bendis that's why.
It just boils down to the showrunner preffering them, everything else is an excuse.
Since the guy was fired does that mean season 2 might see the 90s suits return?
FFS why name a show 97 if it's gonna go BACKWARDS?
because x-men was always a commentary about current society
Maybe? But its likley the other writers will be modern x-fans rather than retro-ones like he seems to be.
I dislike that they didn't just give them their later 90s designs I guess. That would have fit the idea better I feel.
Cable looks like he's in his Late 90s outfit
Well cable doesnt have other looks.
the moment we get out of demayo's writing I lose all my interest and hopes for this, but I believe we will have the astonishing costumes by the end of the next season
>the other writers will be modern x-fans rather than retro-ones like he seems to be
disaster's recipy
The hype will die out if they go into morally ambiguous modern X-Men. People just wanna see them blast sentinels and be cool people
>The hype will die out if they go into morally ambiguous modern X-Men.
the modern comics are dying in this same principle, I don't think they'll learn
CondomClops.
condombros we ARE BACK
I just sang a long to this webm with perfect timing.
(OP)
COMPLETE AND TOTAL LEE ERASURE
After seeing what Nathan turned into, Scott promised himself "NEVER AGAIN", changed costumes and changed his nom de guerre from Cyclops to Trojan.
by the way
Why do the mannequins have wigs?
Charles Learned that from good ol Bruce Wayne.
Cause then everyone would think they're all Xavier.
So Charles can put them on and be the pretty girl
People keep walking in on him and people keep getting mind wiped. You'd think they'd learn to knock, but....oh.
Hopefully best girl is featured more, I was kind of disappointed in how little she showed up so far
Not happening until season 3 if anything sadly. Beau hates Emma and anything with her and Scott together.
And so do I.
>anything with her and Scott together.
And he's very based for that.
emma frost is a b***h and i hope she dies. hopefully beast doesn't care the next time she shatters
De Mayo specifically said she won’t be appearing again this season.
BLOODPOUCH
Ah, so close, but it makes sense not everything in 97 is a nod to vs games.
Those cowards should have given him the jockstrap
This. There's no point in direct references for everyone else and half-assing it for one character.
>If I have to wear the circus get up, I'm not wearing one with the jockstrap out.
It's like Superman's trunks, it breaks up the colors.
they forgot his panties u_u
Give him the cape, you cowards!
I like Morph’s shoulderpads
Only outfit I don’t like is Jean. I also don’t think Scott will have that look for long. I think he’s going rightclops.
Not a fan of the show but I'm glad X-men fans have something where it's mostly people having fun, I mean people didn't seem to like what happened to Cyclops but Cyclops disappointing is an eternal constant in X-men
No one has a problem with Cyclops, get your ass out of here if you want nothing to do with the show.
>people don’t like what happened to cyclops
Are you living under a rock? Cyclops is getting the most praise out of anyone. It’s the best he’s ever been in an adaptation.
it's the whole "cyclops will retire and storm will take over" that got people arguing for a bit
Jubilee looks so fricking cool, I love it
Why is Scott and Jean treating Cable like he's younger than them? They're what? In their mid 20s, maybe early 30, while Cable looks like he is in his late 40s, or maybe even 50. It's weird. Cable is way passed the point of needing a parental supervision.
Because he's Scott's son and Jean feels the same way as Maddie and was ready to rase Nate, so they are mentally ready to parent him. Besides every parent will treat their kid like a child even if their a full-grown adult.
This show story is fun but I wish the animation wasn't so fricking godawful.
Seriously frick you Disney, the biggest studio in the world still produce this cheap shit
I am on episode 5 and while this is an ok show it's a garbage sequel to the old cartoon. Everyone is acting out of character especially Wolverine and I hate the relationship drama every fricking character is having.
You're overthinking the outfits. It's pure nostalgia bait.
The show was made by a gay and episode 5 has the storyboard made by a woman, what you expect?
The old show was constant romantic drama everytime Scott Jean and wolverine was on screen together. Then you had Rogue and gambit wienerteasing each other. I'm glad Wolverine is slowly becoming less of a sadsack around Jean. He needs to move the frick on.
Still looks awful.
*flavors*
>thinks he's a cat
He wasnt a cat until Morrison, he was an ape far before that.
Meds
I find it funny if no one knew anything about what goes on behind the scenes of production no one would give a damn who was in charge of what. Everything is exactly the same as it was in the 90s.
>muh woke
Why are the cute ones always vampires?
Jubes doesn't need vampire powers, she just learned destructo disc!
Why did they enhance her chinkiness? Was it really necessary to give her super slit eyes?
>Slit eyes
>Yellow skin
Just a decade ago this would've been called a racist portrayal.
Also,
>complaining that they're including X-men characters in an X-men
I would have much rather had a 90s x-kid than him tbh. And forcing him to be a love interest to jubes.
Tho being fair, they're making him a villain apparently.
that they're including X-men characters in an X-men
>it's in the comics so it matters
when are you autists going to realize this makes no sense anymore with how much disney picks and chooses and changes the lore as they see fit.
Think of the utility of having a new character there episode 1
>explain to him what sentinels are
>explain to him what the x-men are
>explain that bishop is a time traveler and has a time travel device
>explain who Magneto is and his relationship to Charles
This show is made to be watched by as many people as possible. Skipping the exposition and jumping in to the story without it would objectively be an idiotic move.
While this is true only bishop would need an explanation, the x-men are generally known, and most people watching this show know of them.
I think regardless the issue is using sunspot for this role than having that role.
He and Charles were friends”
>”yeah I know”
The huehuehue was not needed to explain anything you listed. All of that shit was either beaten into our heads or explained by magneto
You are not listening. Everything you listed was explained by the characters just talking. The huehuehue was not needed at all to explain everything you listed as the characters talked about that all without his interaction and he is just a waste of a character now. I am going to just copy and paste this if you are just going to ignore me now
You need a show to be good. Characters explaining basic this that they already know to themselves is moronic. It’s what someone that’s shit at writing would do. Introducing a new character is the fastest way to get past all that bullshit and get to the story you want to tell. I can’t imagine wanting the show to be
>•you know wolverine, bishop’s from the future, so we have to fix his time travel device”
>”How’s it going Jean, did you know that the professor and Magneto were best friends.”
>”Hey Storm, ever heard of the Sentinelz, they’re robots that hunt down mutants.
You are not listening. Everything you listed was explained by the characters just talking. The huehuehue was not needed at all to explain everything you listed as the characters talked about that all without his interaction and he is just a waste of a character now. I am going to just copy and paste this if you are just going to ignore me now
It was explained by the characters just talking TO Sunspot. You need to know what sentinels are before Trask shows up and you need to know that Magneto and Xavier were friends and that Magneto is a villain before Magneto shows up by the end of episode 1. It’s like you’ve never read a comic.Recaps are commonplace. Explain to someone what you just did last issue so the reader knows since they may not have read the last issue.
see
So you just have an issue with viewpoint characters that get people into a show because for some reason you think this show is purely a continuation of the old show and not a place for new audiences to enter. Surely you know more then the people making the thing.
see
It sucks that Sunspot's use on this show is making so many people that didn't know him before, hate him
Or they could find a more organic way to explain base concepts the audience should already be familiar with instead of a nuisance who's barely relevant to the proceedings outside of exposition.
Here’s your 3 options. Clearly they picked the best one:
>no exposition,
leave anyone that doesn’t know anything in the dark. Terrible business decision.
>exposition to a character that doesn’t really matter
Gives your audience the exposition and allows you to follow characters you actually care about
>exposition to a new character that gets centered in the story
You’re stuck with some shitty new character being the main character instead of the characters you actually like
>exposition to a new character that gets centered in the story
>You’re stuck with some shitty new character being the main character instead of the characters you actually like
Or they could do it similarly to how Jubilee was handled in the original, where she's a constant presence that doesn't overshadow anyone else.
>It’s crazy to me that people are bothered by a character that may have 10 minutes of screentime in the entire show.
It's reasonable to dislike a character who only exists for exposition and snark as an excuse for a personality.
>huehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehue
Do chuds really?
There is literally nothing wrong with the character. You're just a secondary casualgater.
She doesn't have to. Jubilee doesn't wear her causes on her sleeve like Kitty did.
OH FRICK LOGAN GOT GOT!
1 to fricking 1 too jesus. I wonder if Jeans gonna get birded up
Fricken' scott selling out his muggas for Jean.
Also why is everyone putting this on Xavier. His idea of giving Magneto the school was working. Magneto was being pretty chill up until Genosha. It's not like giving him the school had anything to do with what he's doing now
Frick Cyclops. He is the worst character yet again.
Scott was right to do that.
No, he wasn't.
He kind of was
Couldn't Magneto repair the earth without reactivating the sentinels?
Seems moronic to sacrifice the earth because Jean's team hadn't accomplished their mission
Nah, they're down due to magnetic field getting completely fricked which is messing with them and fixing that would cause them to come back alive
Oh they could just knocked him out and used him later tho
Yeah that one makes sense, xavier coulda just put him to sleep instead of going full mindwipe, which Scott was in the right for trying to stop cause of that
Was he though?
If it's ever a question of is Cykes right or wrong, it's sure as shit not the 2nd option
rightclops memes were always fun. But I've been rereading Claremont onwards and Scott was kind of wrong as often as not
He probably woulda been absolutely wrong in the Schism argument about training kids if the counterpoint came from Storm instead of fricking Logan
In a perfect world Ororo took the students and Logan stayed behind with Scott on Utopia. Sadly no one would've read the stuff with Ororo.
It wasn't perfect but I thought they did a decent enough job of Wolverine being willing to take on a burden as the price of preventing other people from getting their hands dirty.
He then feels betrayed that Scott builds on that and gets everyones hands dirty.
>Rogue is standing right there
I would have respected him more had he joined Magneto right there and then instead of just doing it to buy them time
Is there any good reason Wolverine doesn't just tag out when they fight Magneto
If he gets the jump on him I guess
His brain's not too good
Wolverine killed Phoenix Force Magneto using a Hulk powered fastball-special.
WHERES THE MEGA???
Onslaught!
Episode 9 is available on Kim

HOLY FRICK
I know this is Fatal Attractions but my mind immediately went to Ultimatum and I expected Cyclops to decapitate Magneto
I love that Storm had the Art Adams pose after he rescued Roberto and Jubilee

ENTER
Just like we're watching the X-Men get dismantled, we'll get the classic Avengers and FF so we can watched them get disintegrated.

Beau Adapted the Ms Marvel Arc, Rogue isn't in control anymore is Carol until Binary shows up in Season 2
Eat your meds carol schizo
>canon comic moment is carol schizo
have a nice day gwenshitter
The role swap makes sense but it's a shame colossus isn't involved at all in this adaptation
The Russkies probably have him in some bio-dome breeding with 10/10 post-soviet babes
They wanted to boost Disney + and speed run to Endgame 2.0 with the multiverse "saga"
And now the shit they can get anyone to care about are the pre-Feige properties
>Sony Spider-Men
>Fox X-Men
>Netflix Defenders
>90s Marvel Animated Universe
That would have been cool
MCU Thunderbolts without the twist is an even lamer version of DCEU Suicide Squad
It's why I mentioned OG Thunderbolts instead. Their whole stick outside the twist was the moral clashing of the team and what it takes for them to be heros, villains or in-between and would have segued nicely into a more villain-focused phase.
What villains could they even use? MCU antagonists in the Infinity Saga had a 90% mortality rate
Zemo
The Leader
Ghost
Abomination
Red Hulk
Bullseye
Taskmaster (the real one)
kek just going to add this fuel to the fire
>rock as apocalypse
>vin diesel as wolverine
>pic related
rockblocked
Well I guess people wanted Villains to win again when it came to Marvel
Honestly I could see it. Rock is at his best when he's hamming it up like his pro wrestling days
Now it's my head canon that The Scorpion King is En Sabah Nur
Wont work as Jobbacolypse since rock has a clause to never lose a fight.
Maybe after being the final boss The Rock would play a hammy over the top villian. I think The Rock as an Apocalypse similar to either of the x men animated series would work. Evolution Apoc looked like Scorpion King when he was younger and Tas type Apoc would work very well with The Rock.
Nah it's shit
I think the most telling thing is that most of the interest isn't even about this being a followup to the 90s show. It's literally just a good superhero cartoon in 2024. That's how easy it is to gain an audience but that seems to allude these big companies.
>The quality of this and the grip on both new and old fans is actually insane for a superhero cartoon.
Nobody but nostalgia gays care about X-Men 97. Hell not even Cinemaphile cares given how dead discussion has been throughout this season
>Cinemaphile board equates popularity and quality
that's some Cinemaphile tier mindset
It's not popular outsideCinemaphile either
Looks like it's too late and the X-Men won't save Marvel this time
>3rd most popular show last month
>”not that big”
Come on now
>Fallout is 1st
Either shit taste or that chart is shit.
heh... I used to think my hero academia was just a flavor of the month anime like Attack on Titan...
Not a good example if it's only behind two massive franchises.
Wait a fricking minute. Didn't Konosuba had it last anime episode years ago?
Season 3 started a month ago
>The quality of this and the grip on both new and old fans is actually insane for a superhero cartoon.
Quality on what? The animation is quite bad, the voice acting is ok, the writing is ok as well but nothing about it is "insanely high quality".
The writing is definitely not ok.
Evolution had TMS do lot of work aka studio that did Akira so it has some best animated shots in all of X-Men.
not that anon, I will always be conflicted because while Evolution does have the Best animation of any x-men show, I still don't like the design of most characters
Well the show artstyle looks like fricking 2000's Disney...Tarzan looking ass style lol.
I thought it was all MadHouse for Evolution, like it was for 5 of the anime series and the two movies
Spider-Man TAS had TMS listed
No Madhouse did the X-Men anime but TMS did Evolution and yes Spider-Man 94 which has lot of good animation shots but the problem with that show is the annoying editing and weird framing...I mean 92 X-Men had that problem two which there's a few eps of 92 X-Men not done by AKOM but different Philippine studio that look surreal as frick like animation good in places but also like janky and design like insanely detailed.
X-Men 92 has barely any good animation shots compared to Spider-Man which is the best animated show out of the 90's Marvel cartoons.
>the best animated show out of the 90's Marvel cartoons
>those ugly CGI backgrounds
suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure, bub
Backgrounds don't move anon also standards pretty low..I mean what else is there? Hulk?
I see, well I think TMS did some eps too.
Can you try and learn how to write proper English before your next post, please?
Thanks in advance
Can not be fricking blind, you think THIS looks bad.
https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/256182
but THIS looks good animation wise.
You're fricking blind.
?si=XsTJCjxdqCDZ2Bq1&t=17
That's not what I was talking about. I was asking you if you could write your posts with better grammar and spelling next time.
Nah, raitings aren't that great. Normies aren't watching this show.
soon
who
30 MINUTES LEFT BOYS
I'm so excited
Oh wait it's already fricking out.
SHIT SHIT SHIT
Goddamn, Wolverine getting his adamantium pulled is kinda nasty. KINO.
I wonder how far they'll take this development
if his metal was removed how he still have the little tubes in his hands?
And also as standard brazilian, he joined the villains
I mean, right or not, Cykes is afraid for Jean and Nathan. It's understandable. What's Rogue excuse tho? She is a traitor who turned against her family.
>What's Rogue excuse tho?
The sex with Magneto
This pairing is like if Professor X started dating Jean Grey.
Wolverine is like 300 years old and nobody cares that he’s trying to frick Jean
>nobody cares that he’s trying to frick Jean
Cause it's the other way around, the soulless ginger just can't stop thinking about his hairy smelly midget wiener
Rogue and Magneto relationship has always been mutual
Rogue is the same age as his own kids.
The 70 year old eurotrash that would dirty dance to Ace of Base doesn't care about that
Rogue's life sounds very depressing if she was deflowered by Magneto, tbh.
>What's Rogue excuse tho?
She is a woman.
She's a selfish, self-centered b***h that thinks she's the only one who feels pain
>What's Rogue's excuse.
Being intentionally written by the writers to be the most unlikable character on the show.
I understand why all the gays and feminists on Twitter are identifying with her
>The cheating c**t is still cheating after Gambit died
Once a prostitute, always a prostitute
Carol is controlling her again, all it took was a bad day to snap and magneto manipulating her.
I mean also the fact that neither Xavier or Jean have probably been doing Carol Cage maintenance with Rogue since Genosha and Carol/
She is free again, we are getting the Split in part 3 with people thinking she is dead since they need to deal with bastion.
I do not understand this. Scott lost his wife in Genosha, Cable lost his mother. They're both fine. Rogue lost the guy she had cucked several times and suddenly she becomes full schizo.
And nightcrawler saw everything and too and didn’t go full schizo so her pulling the “YOU GUYS WEREN’T THERE!” Makes her look even more pathetic
Nightcrawler has Jesus to turn to. Who does rogue turn to? Magneto.
>Nightcrawler has a israelite to turn to. Who does rogue turn to? A israelite
That's not an excuse
>Nightcrawler's israelite
😀
>Rogue's israelite
>:(
Learn the difference
All israelites should make you go
>:(
No exceptions
Jews own the world, and I bat for the winning team. Sorry, goy!
Women more affected.
to be fair they didn't get to cradle with they charcoal-led corpse.
Cable's probably seen his mother being vaporised many times. Cyclops barely held his child before losing him. It's either bad writing or very based writing that only the woman goes nuts enough to betray everything her man fought for.
>Jungle woman Rogue
Guys I won't lie, I'd betray you all for that.
big magnet dick
lol and i was just asking why they never adapt this moment. too bad it was a power point slide.
>too bad it was a power point slide.
We Young Justice now. Thanks Mir
Scott is the one to blame for this shit. Charles already had everything under control. Now I want to see Logan maul the shit out of Granny Goodness since he has no disadvantage aganst him anymore
In his defense, he had to stop Xavier considering Bastion,Sinister and Cable were winning, if the prime sentinels woke up they wouldve been finished
Cable and Jubilee should've swapped teams
And not send the metal man against a man who controls metal
You'd think that be the first thing that comes up whenever the X men decided to jump Magneto
Yet said metal man did the most damage, interesting
Mr. Big Feet is even more useless
He should have aimed for the head
isnt cable part cybernetic
Idk then, maybe swap Beast and Wolverine
Beast is needed to fix that neutralizer doohickey
Gold team was in danger
Awful dialogue
I love how it was the exact same pose
I hope they keep Logan in the brown suit. It's just a more striking design than the yellow one even though it's much simpler.
I'm just glad we finally got Logan actually fricking stabbing someone that wasn't a robot
DeMayo really hates Gambit and Rogue
Beau DeGoddamn-liar
gambit will come back next season, and rogue will stop being such an utter c**t, and then ill get a blowjob from the pretty cashier that smiled at me the other day and then we will get married and have many children in our mansion. I know it will happen. but yeah frick rogue, not in the magneto way though
tbh I'm with team Chadgneto, just fricking kill all humans already.
Anon, you're a human
No, they're your average college liberal.
I'm not a marvel human though
Does Beau hate Magneto or? Because I'm finding it hard to gauge what his opinions on Mags even is. He's already not so subtly stated on twitter before he doesn't care for israelites. But it also feels like he wants us to root for Mags at times.
He is one of those woke cucks who think "Magneto is right" but as escapism as blacks genociding white people
He says Magneto is right, but then has him kill thousands and ruin the world with his magnetic field, making him one of two villains the heroes have to kill to save the world
Because he thinks that blacks should kill white people in response for his perceived racism, so Magneto is right in killing millions
Yeah unfortunately. But here's the 14th variation of your favourite character that dies right after.
All I'm saying is.
After all this bullshit, it's time for the Avengers to shut down the X-men.
Or they should possibly stop sentinels being built which then genocide them and cause worldwide retribution
Well Magneto, maybe if you weren't a terrorist, sentinels wouldn't have been made
>I'd enjoy the knowledge that everyone else is dying in horrible pain and terror as well.
Comforting thought -_-
Anybody else pop for this beauty?
Now i want to hear the Xavier mobility scooter say: "X-Bikes, roll out!"
gayneto turned Logan's adamantium bones into a bycicle?
>gayneto
umade because he clapped rogues fatass cheeks
Is that Cyclop's "convertible" from the original series? lmao
Was leaving Magneto in charge of the X men that bad of an idea, were it not for Bastion everything wouldve went to plan
Yeah, it almost worked going by episode 2, but there must always be a conflict to bring Mags back to his old ways
Magneto is too much of an unstable emotional man child because of the holocaust.
Yeah, because Magneto always ends up doing something drastic. Storm, Scott, or Jean would’ve been better choices for a leader.
Xavier obviously wanted to trick Magneto into being a gud boy. And half of the other timelines have Magneto running the X-Men more or less successfully. He's not a bad choice, he just needs to apply some ACME de-edger.
I love X Men but every major plot always retreads itself
>Wow everything is working and maybe mutants and humans ca-
>*insert event that restarts it all*
comics really are fricking dumb
to be fair this is the first time it happened in this continuity
It’s especially bad with x men comics
One thing that annoys is that for the last decade or so, the writers basically ignore the X-Men’s human allies
That’s a can of worms in that the X men should have never exist with other marvel heroes
That's what happens when you have a never ending story: a never ending conflict.
Why is Rogue even popular? She sucks big time in this show. She's a prostitute and a traitor.
This version of Rogue is dead to me
She should have fricked off with Cody and the fish aliens
Twice in the season, she sided with Magneto, who got rid of her as soon as she became legal, while watching Gambit and Wolverine, who saved her life a million times, get skewered.
Why did they remove Cable's yellow underwear?
100% Rogue is going to start fricking Magneto again now that she joined him and Gambit is still dead. So when Gambit comes back it will make things extra awkward again.
gambit 100% gonna be Death
Gambit is coming back as a Horseman, and we will get punished rogue arc so we thrive on her getting fricked 24/7 for being a traitor hunted down by everyone, which is what Mystique wants it.
Gambit as Death, Wolverine as War, Pryor as Pestilence and Leech as Famine to get their powers back and ressurect.
It'd be cool if they include hulk as something but they wont.
Jesus christ Cyclops everytime I think you are cool you find a way to frick things up
nah if he didn't interrupt Jean and co. would perish
Cykes made the right call to save the Golden Team. Charles would have doomed them all.
Magneto needs counseling more than anything.
Mf lost once and instantly called for mass ethnic cleansing.
Genosha has fallen
billions must perish
Did Bastion see this coming? It doesn't make sense otherwise why he'd teleport this dummy out of the path of the death ray unless he figured he would distract the team long enough to take over
he literally was all "all according to keikaku" last ep
>Rogue actor commits genosha 9/11 on roids
>Most UN nations help up to a reasonable degree
>I must now destroy the world and cause an apocalyptic state >:(
>No!!
He was only ever wrong because it's a show about "heroes" who will always be right by default because they're the good guys.
>literally kills everyone in his emp storm
and not to mention leaving the one person who saved him to the bad guys
His entire point is that co-existence is never going to work. If the X-Men stood by him they'd have the world by the balls and could dictate terms because humans have no answer to buckethead turning off the earths magnetic field.
And now that the madlad actually did it, instead of making use of it they're going to stab his ass and throw away their their biggest asset so they can go back to being victims.
The world hates mutants because they're fricking dumb.
>they should be another entity that causes conflict en masse
Magneto took out the bastion-bots before they could kill even more mutants, if you've been reading X-books you know what happens when mutants are down. Humanity always tries to exterminate them.
You make peace with the strong.
Magneto is kind of moronic, but he's right about humans vs mutants. The conflict between X-Men and The Brotherhood should have been solved by Rightclops realizing you need both the carrot and the stick. You can't call Magneto moronic without calling Xavier & Co. moronic as well.
alternative body type detected lulz
You know the main problem of X-men is pretending that Magneto ins't straight up moronic but rather an anti villain with a point, it actually hurts the entire writing. He's unironically dumber than Eren Yeager and Eren was fricking dumb.
>Coexistence doesn’t work because Marvel is fricking moronic and doesn’t see the contradiction of having superpowers freaks being an analogy for oppressed minorities in a world filled with superpowered freaks.
>If the X-Men stood by him they'd have the world by the balls and could dictate terms because humans have no answer to buckethead turning off the earths magnetic field.
Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Hank Pym, Doctor Doom all could counter it and whatever threat he can throw.
It's funny how they failed to show up for the whole thing. I guess they weren't in the script.
Well it was always about species survival first, superpower danger second. I still agree with you though.
>Well it was always about species survival first, superpower danger second. I still agree with you though.
Do I get to fly as a living sentinel?
And can I choose my RGB highlights?
>Do I get to fly as a living sentinel?
yes
>And can I choose my RGB highlights?
you only get pink
and you'll be able to play capcom vs marvel in your head
I assume only as sentinel adjacent characters? Either way, I am in.
LETS FRICKIN GOOOOO!
Magneto dragged the entire world, full of both humans and mutans that had nothing to do with Genosha, into this.
He's not limiting his targets to the people that caused the incident. He's trying to punish an entire planet.
More people are going to hate mutants in general after this, and it's his fault.
Agreed, this is why Chadstion and Chadgneto did nothing wrong.
Actually most UN nations refused to accept mutants back and sent no help to Genosha, leaving them to die. That rouge individual also operated within the US government so if they had done their job properly, they would have found out.
Which is a reasonable degree.
Frick mutties.
I fricking hate Cyclops
How they divided the team was moronic. Specifically, where they sent nightcrawler. They ended up fighting rogue and Roberto anyway. He would've been better if he was on the golden team. His power and jean's could've snuck the choker onto bastion
Not a comic gay so is logan dead? Or will he just cause xavier to snap, create onslaught but end up surviving?
you ever wonder why in mvc2 there's bone claws wolverine?
Xavier is a traitor to the mutant kind
Magneto is right
Tolerance is Extinction
Destroy Rafah now!
gotcha
They really made Rogue nothing but a booty call for Magneto in this show, every time when he’s around her she submits to him and does whatever he wants, even in episode 5 Gambit told Rogue that he was just using her for easy ass and that he’ll eventually break her heart again and she still went back to him
No one complaining about how Rogue called Morph a "them"? Ok.
>Rogue called Morph a "them"
It's very out of place in the 90s, but it is what it is.
reminder not to go full moronera
>literally turning on against a show because muh magneto is riiiiight
Why did Cyclops think Charles was going to kill Magneto? Perhaps he just wanted to incapacitate him. Cyclops is moronic.
anon pay attention, he was going to undo the EMP and that would endanger gold team
xavier's going to undo the blackout by hijacking magnus' mind. prime sentinels are revived and fricks up gold team. think anon think
Spoilers for "Tolerance Is Extinction" part 2
Notable moments in episode 9
- Rogue and Roberto join Magneto!
- The X-Men don their old costumes!
- Blue and Gold teams!
- Jean and Storm have a sisters moment!
- Forge and Storm take on the sentinels!
- Morph turns into the Hulk!
- Jean vs Mr. Sinister!
- Jean vs Cable!
- Prof X mind blasts Magneto but is stopped by Cyclops!
- Wolverine stabs Magneto!
- Magneto rips the adamantium from Wolverine!
also I dunno why people keep bringing up 'muh holocaust' since mags outright stated he stopped caring about being a israelite
Magneto is just mentally unstable because the holohoax.
He needs therapy. Men really will commit to a species war rather than go to therapy damn...
This was a really weird and bad episode
Doing Xavier vs Magneto again at this point is just really bad
>Weird and bad
This is comic faithful though
Xavier and Magneto are flawed where when things get bad they give into their worse impulses
Magneto gives up and gives into nihilism Xavier stubbornly fixates on idealism. That’s why Magneto always falls and that’s why Xavier’s plans never bare fruit.
>That’s why Magneto always falls
thats because we have race traitors like the Xmen who always meddle with thier onions ideologies
They Need to make a proper AoS adaptation yet.
But then they need to find a new VA for him with the same HAM.
Charles choked it by not waiting for Gold Team to confirm they’d finished
Which is very Charles behavior to tunnel vision when a problem occurs
It was nice seeing him fight instead of spam clones like he's been doing for ages now, gave me OG Orochimaru vibes
I'm in team sinister tbh, too bad he's probably going to die soon
Prof X. never makes sense to me
Segregation is much needed when your dealing with mutants that can brainwash you to being gay
the solution is simple
They did all this just because really just wanted to make their own team with new costumes huh? I mean I don't mind, the same team for so long does get kinda old one thing I dislike about 92 show was lack of rotating cast, Evolution at least give us side character students who got some spot light and Wolverine and X-Men was all about going around running into mutants., 92 was mainly just cameos and that it..besides like the Nightcrawler and X-Factor eps.
Am I the only one enjoying all the topics you get on this threads? Maybe it's because many other threads just say the same things in circles
Though we have to accept that the Jean vs Sinister fight is why we don't actually get to see the gore of Wolverine getting his metal pulled out
Sorry hwite boy but in the end the Brazilian mestizo always get the girl
The girl being loose bawd rogue ofc!
The scene with Forge and Beast wearing goggles and being science nerds together and Beast complimenting Forge's electroshielding was so wholesome.
Reminder that Charles was fully aware that Wolverine was going to try and kill Magneto and still put him on the Team for it.
He engineered this situation and WHY WOULD YOU PUT THE MAN WITH METAL BONES ON THE MISSION AGAINST THE MAN WITH METAL CONTROLING POWERS
Magnetos brain is fried from his own radiation.
Xavier is just sort of a moron.
>have to wait a week for the next episode
God damn
Magneto will die ofc, and return as Xornetto.
Rogue will be hated til the last minute when she and Bastion are dragged into whatever the adaptation of Siege Perilous happen.
Jean will return as Phoenix because Sinister needs her for it.
Season 2 will be Onslaught and Cassandra Nova.
Kino.
Cassandra Nova is off the table because MCU’s stupid mandates
>we are using this character for our crap movies, you don’t get to use it
You're all focusing on "man with metal bones against Magneto", but another thing bothers me.
>stab Magneto
>go for anything but the heart for instant kill
Is Logan moronic? He had exactly one shot and he wasted it.
Magneto will "Die" so Xorn will be born
i'm here first
Cut him some slack, magneto is like real fricking tall Germanic dude, while Wolverine is a malnourished bri'ish Canadian boy, he couldn't reach any higher.
I thought the Adamantium would be in solid stated by now.
I guess the reason is that that's the only way to get the zoomers' to watch it due to their terrible attention span.
>he thinks it's the writers that determines how many episodes a show is going to have
And you can watch the OG again if you want fillers that gets you acquanted with the characters. 97 is all busines. It already assumes you love the characters. It's all depth, conflict, and drama and I'm digging it.
This show is the best thing that happened to X-Men since the 90s
Jean vs Sinister was fun
Is Magneto's dick really that great, Rogue?
She's damn near virginal
She really doesn't know
She has no other point of reference
She is going to kill herself to save everyone from bastion if they go for the Siege Perilous ending, the team will be shattered after it with cyclops hating Cable, Chuck going Onslaught slowly and Magneto = Dead til Xorn.
It sucks that they'll still write things as though she deserves a happy ending.
She's not going to sacrifice herself for the world like Piotr did.
Bring Remy back, hook him up with Felicia and let them spawn a master race of back flipping pickpockets
He can stop Magneto and Bastion.
Because of his weight?
His weight, mastery of technology, and the bear hug of death will carry the day.
He sees the destruction happening during this war and like that time with the Spot, decides to intervene for "there is no profit to be made if the world is destroyed. It is very bad for business."
>Summons his Insidious Six
>Rhino, Shocker, and Vulture take on Magneto
>Doc Ock leads Scorpion and a jail sprung Hobgoblin to take on Bastion
>rhino
mags would just swallow shocker's power and turn vulture into a metal ball
>bringing robotics to Bastion
hilariously enough I can see Scorpion work but he's a dumbass
Doc Ock is fricked either way. I suppose his direct connection to his tentacles could subvert Bastion's technopathy. Doesn't help that Mysterio's dead and Chameleon is a traitor. That just limits the field to a jailed Hobgoblin and maybe Big Wheel.
Can he even stand up without help?
Axis Kingpin would be pretty wicked to see actually. Shame that phase didn't last longer.
Was Rogue using the pronoun bullshit for Morph the first instance outside of promo bullshit?
just realized Hulk is designed to look more like his classic look
Hulk TAS isn't canon
He looks like Season 1 Hulk TAS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyQpEoMFF3w
Disney is making all of the 90's canon, minus The Avengers UTS
And look what happened to that gay
he got fired
Wokeness can lead to extinction and lose of income
That's why people like Magneto are never right. The "he's right" crowd either have a death wish or think he's gonna spare them for being good allies, just like all those whites who were totally not stomped by BLM, lol.
That's why integration and coexistence is bullshit
stick to your kind and protect them
and genocide or be genocided
a.e Magneto is Right
Magneto is wrong
Devil Hulk is Right
Yeah, all you have to do is to force mutants to kill like half of their own kids after their go through puberty without powers, till the end of time since the odds of having human kids is very high even if both sides are mutants and if those humans breed with a mutant the odds of a normal kid being born is even higher.
and then you kill any mutant that go through any the several ways which can take away your mutations
Most humans don't give a shit If they all move to their own country. It was a few morons and a robot from the future who fricked up things and got mutants and humans killed at the end.
Agreed.
Bastion and Magneto are both correct, they should just 1v1 each other and leave the rest of us out of it.
Logan is a c**t.
Cable dominated and Jean porn when?
man why couldn't they just cut the top part of cyke's costume?
I wish he got his utopia look, the condom mask looks better with a silver visor
cyclops is an idiot
Morph's name should be "Cameo Man" instead
Cameo Person*
They also cameo female characters.
When did Morph become non-binary?
When Wolverine wanted some action.
the real villain is xavier
magneto was right
episode felt rushed. needed at least 5 or more minutes of build up
So about the showrunner...
Still nothing?
Yes, Disney is now looking for his replacement.
Take a guess why they fired him.
He's a sperg with edgy takes that does genuinely love the X-Men and doesn't take shit from people who want to mess with the source material.
>Jeangays happy about the Phoenix return not seeing it as a death mark for the character
Kek, I want to see their reaction when s2 replaces her with Emma
DeMayo hates Emma, she is not joining the team
He says he's a fan of Gambit/Rogue and we see how that went
It could be the opposite with characters he hates
She's had subtle build ups. Like her noticing the Cyke/Pryor affair and surviving Genosha. She's definitely coming in as an X-Men lock for season 2. Emma's ability to create drama is too perfect for X-Men soap to lose.
If he really didn't care, she wouldn't have had those moments.
Endless b***hing about Scott putting it in someone new.
why would she have phoenix when it literally left her body
they'll probably change it and make the white phoenix part of jeans powers, similar to how morph can somehow change into anyone and get their powers
This cool looking bastard is going to get a single episode if that because all he's remembered for is pretending to be Apocalypse and being ripped to shreds by bone claw Wolverine.
Almost thought that was Deodato Thor
Rewatching the old series and he shows up in Time Fugitives. Pretty nice moment with Cable. It'd be nice to see more of Cable as a father to Tyler or Hope, especially with Cable's current story with Cyclops.
The Larry Hama issue with Genisis was good shit.
So Morph's power is that he can change into any person he wants in appearance AND he also has their powers? So he's Mystique and Rogue combined? The man is OP. WTF.
Morph only has physical powers
I thought his power was 'dude member this character?' because he adds nothing else to this show.
Nathan Lane Lite isn't making you bust a gut?
I expected more from Morph especially with how they played up his involvement with Sinister. The old show had a good story with Morph. Maybe going too lighthearted/comedy with him was the wrong direction.
Why did Cyclops help Magneto? I don't understand.
He wanted to give Jean more time. If Magneto turned on the power again it would reactivate the sentinels and doom them.
He was trying to help the Gold Team, not Magneto
>Cyclops time and time again has shown he'd prioritize Jean over anything
This. Cyclops is unfit to lead the X-Men.
Who didnt see that coming?
>Send Cyclops, Jean, Forge, Storm, Wolverine to Bastion
>Send Cable, Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Beast, Xavier, Morph to Magneto
It was that fricking easy you stupid fricking bald man. Cyclops always curb stomps Sinister and Jean and Wolverine can easily wombo combo Bastion.
You have Jubilee and Nightcralwer for emotional manipulation against Sunspot and Rogue and then you have Beast and Morph who just need to get a fricking helmet off which you don't need a metal skeleton for.
Cable’s body is half metal, you humongous moron. One way or another, someone’s getting their skeleton ripped out.
This show is adding way too many characters in its short season. It feels like a WWE match every episode. They are about to lose and in comes random character to run in and save them and then end on a cliffhanger.
Big Match Bishop is about to do a time travel run in for the save. It'd be weird if the show forgot him. Jean is also going to Phoenix up.
I really miss his mullet. It works really well on him for some reason.
>It feels like a WWE match every episode.
>Bastion knows Sinister is traitorous snake just waiting to bite him, while Sinister knows Bastion is genocidal villain that plans to turn on him the moment it suits him
>Both making it obvious they're just using each other. Despite this, they make a great team
I love the relationship the villain duo have right now. They completely hate each other and are just waiting to stab the other' back, yet they seem to know each other so well but it doesn't change how they see each other. It's great.
Great and stable partnerships are formed from mutual respect and love for one another.
I'm half expecting Doom to come in from the rafters swing a steel chair with Mandarin.
Mandarin isn't swinging anything anymore
Okay, so who would you send?
Blue team clearly needed to swap Wolverine with someone else, Beast being the better option with similar powersets vs Mags.
I would say Jean with Xavier but I don't think Jean would have the balls to mind delete Mags which is why Xavier offered. Plus it's beneficial to have two telepaths on two separate teams. Ideally Cyke + Cable is probably a better duo.
Jubes with Cable maybe? Not a powerhouse but sending both Jean and Cable knowing Sinister was there was pretty bad plus JubesXSunspot might get in the way.
I would have sent Jean against Mags. As the Goblin Queen fight showed her tk is a good counter for his powers
>Cyclops
Gold. Cyclops always cooks Sinister and he can take out Sentinels pretty well
>Jean
Gold. Needs to function as the communication between Blue and Gold Team. Also needs to be near Cyclops to mitigate him making bad choices to save her
>Storm
Gold. Much stronger in the Atmosphere. She only went down because she got distracted by Forge going down
>Forge
Gold. You need him there to deal with Bastion if they need a tech solution
>Wolverine
Gold. Entirely to keep him away from Magneto no matter how much he wants to gank him. He is always a liability more than an asset in Magneto fights because as demonstrated, him not getting fricked entirely relies on Magneto playing soft
>Beast
Blue. Can deal with Rogue and is agile enough that he has a good chance at unmasking magneto
>Nightcrawler
Blue. Can BAMPH to get the Helmet off and can also be used as an emotional tool against Rogue
>Jubilee
Where were you when a gay sexual degenerate with a public Onlyfans created the best superhero adaptation from any media in the past 15 years?
I didn't get the end. Is Cable a Sinister sleeper agent?
He probably implanted something in Cable to take control of him when he was a baby. He did the same thing to Madelyn and Morph.
Sinister mind conditioning is probably why he's all "YOU'RE NOT MY MOM!" with Jean, when she's the same exact person minus a month.
The mind conditioning with Madelyn and Morph made them into more evil versions of themselves who justified their behavior while also serving Siniter's interests.
Can't see the episode right now. Can I get a QRD of everything?
How come all 2D cartoons not look this good, what the frick?
Holy frick Rogue is an absolute b***h.
97 Rogue is now at the bottom of the Rogue adaptations lisy
Twitter hates Cyclops again
Twitter thinks Magneto is right.
he is tho
Unless you're a mutant, you're very likely to be killed by him.
I am
Woke Twitter retreated back to tumblr since the Musk take over
Do people who think Magneto is right are just thinking he's out to kill Whitey/Jews/Ethnic minority they hate? He's not. If he existed IRL, Mags would kill all his fans that think he was right because all of them are human too, the race he wants to exterminate.
Magnus being literally a polish kid who now wants to kills all germans.
They probably are thinking Fassbender who went straight to hunt specific Nazis. Actual comic Magneto would kill us all.
Jean was having a mental frick up. That explains it, but she should have been more understanding as none of this is Cyclops' fault.
Clone NewJeans is way better than Real Old Jeans and it's not even close. Her death still affects me, because it was done so well with her last thoughts being about Cable surviving, yet if Jean died? I doubt I would even care at this point. Jean calls her clone a "it" but she was more human than Jean ever was.
>tfw Hype Boy hits
Why the frick would you care what twitter has to say?
Fundamentally speaking the series agrees with this statement. Chuck's philosophy (or at least the contemporary version of it) was naive and short sighted. His original approach was more sensible than magnetos but that isolationist "we deal with our own and stay out of everyone else's way" is now Cykes philosophy and his arc to get there is more satisfying than Xavier's stories to begin with.
It basically boils down to
>we should marytr ourselves to show we aren't a threat (Chuck)
>we should integrate and minimize our differences (Havock, Logan)
>we should look after our own and stop interacting with humans as much as possible (Scott)
>we should proactively kill humans because reacting to them is too risky for an unprepared and dispersed people (Eric)
>we should integrate and minimize our differences (Havock, Logan)
Shame xgays ree when any one explores this
You can't pay Twitter b***hes any mind. It's like taking Tumblr seriously
frick you Cinemaphile, this was a better cameo than Spider-man's even though that wasn't really him
Hulk first season is one of best Hulk adaptations imo..sucks they blew it in season 2.
Network meddling, sadly
A UPN exec/90s boss b***h wanted the show to be more female focused, incorporating fashion, etc. They axed the Season 1 crew. It got the EMH Season 2 treatment, but worse.
Funny how it's the exact opposite with Iron Man and Fantastic Four which became watchable only in their second seasons.
The crew that saved Seasons 2 of those shows were the ones doing Season 1 of the Hulk before UPN fired them. Same team from Biker Mice from Mars
Even though it was brief, this is still my favourite cameo
Not voiced by Robin Atkin Downs ruined it for me
It has precedence
Why didn't Morph turn into Magneto and reset the magnetic fields
he only can copy physical powers
Rogue can absorb his powers and fix it herself. She seems pretty emotionally unstable in this series so she may end up switching sides (again).
So? Xavier can just stop her or better yet he can make her absorb Magneto powers the moment she decided to stand next to him.
I hate the camels because they only highlight how absolutely moronic it is that the X-Men are literally the only capes responding to TWO genocidal, crisis-level threats. Where the frick are the Avengers during all of this?
>cameos
Frick me for phone posting.
What did camels ever do to you?
How can Magneto not make sense
even Xavier cannot rebut what he said
I just noticed something, Magneto is really fricking dumb.
All humans collectively? It was a small group of humans. Most humans just want them away or are afraid.
Yes
The only way for humans to find peace is for every single mutant to die
Humies should just accept they'll become muties. There's no harm in it. You're not even being directly replaced when you think about it. Your own 100% genetic children can be mutants too. You can literally just have better kids. I'd be all in.
FRICK sentinels and Starkgays. AI is an entirely different continuity, computers taking primacy is like mammals replacing the dinosaurs. A mutant take over is like replacing the cave man slowly over time with the modern man.
But their different see. So they must be delt.
I just realized how the Xmen are just sellout chuds and race traitors
Magneto and Professorare both wrong. (Vote third party)
Let's just set Dormammu free, man. That's my alternative.
Outside of mutants getting killed and regular racism, is life that bad for them? They aren't suggrated segregated snd most won't even know your one unless it effects your appearance, you get cool powers, most people are scare of you, they most likely can't kill you. What's the issue?
most people get shit powers though and they tend to express themselves in bad moments..
It depends honestly, Sabretooth manages to do alright by himself despite being a mutant, so does Mystique and Northstar.
>The UN is evil and hates mutants
>Magneto's EMP kills millions
No anti-mutant purge for some reason
>Be mutant with pacemaker, in ER, in plane or driving
>Dies because power went out
Fricking killed a shit ton of his own people.
Magneto acts like he cares about the pawns but he doesn't at the end of the day
He got Mutants and israelites killed all the same. He truly doesn't care about anyone. "but but but he's right..."
I just don't care for this version of Jubilee.
The design looks inferior to me and I like the original voice because it's the same voice as my first crush too much.
Honka Honka
>Xavier mentions that he considered Bastion to be one of the first mutants he wanted recruited
So the Nimrod that infected Bastion before he was born was a Nimrod from another future alternative timeline that went back in time and infected Bastion's father before the X-men were founded. It's not the same Nimrod the X-men defeated in the original series?
It's during the One Man's Worth episodes when Bishop, Shard and Alternate Storm and Wolverine go to save College boy Xavier.
I just realized who Bastion reminds me of.
