It makes no sense. Why would the world love other superheroes but for some reason hate mutants? Why not just let the franchise rest with Logan?

I agree. In fact I think the only mutants in the MCU should be Deadpool and X-23 to wrap up their storylines and only semi-canon (no influence on the major plot arcs whatever they turn out to be).
Then reboot the X-men as it's own thing.
God damn homie if I wanted to read a novel I'd get a tablet with Google play books! Frickin wordy ass comic ass b***h.
Reading a Tales from the Crypt comics would melt your brain.
Ah frick, there's no ending! You fricking butthole! I read the whole damn thing and now I want to know how it ends. Giving my blue balls over here.
why don't you just read the rest of the comic you dumb shit
Because I don't have the rest of the comic, moron.
Good Lord and I thought the Order of the Stick guy was bad
Are those old comics any good. I wanna read western comics before everything became capeshit.
>Are those old comics any good.
Some. It depends on your taste.
>I wanna read western comics before everything became capeshit.
Capeshit has been around since 1939. There are comics out there about everything, it's just that capeshit is the blockbuster of the genre.
>Magneto the most famous and feared mutant steals nukes and talks of mutant supremacy and replacing humans
>most mutants are ugly and scary looking
>the fear that your neighbor or classmate could be a mutant, lose control and destroy a building
>mutant teams aren't aligned with any government
>for every good mutant super group there are two evil groups
also when they activate its almost always in their teens during a high stress situation, people often die when they activate for the first time, also that comi in OP is fricking great, x-men 2 kinda did it comics still did it better imo
Togashi-tier writing holy frick.
Not Togashi enough
how many homosexual edits of this dumb ass comic have you made? weirdo
>X-Men can't work in the MCU
With Victoria Alonso there we will never have leotard kino in the X-Men
>I want my Storm to be dark
wait...when was Storm not black in any iteration of the character?
Comic book Storm wasn't dark unless they changed that recently, Halle Berry and the XA Storm girl were fine, as far as skin tone
>Comic book Storm wasn't dark
homiewattios?
That's a tan she got in Cairo. She's the child of British Colonists from Kenya.
next to Xavier to compare their skin tones
nah, she's whiter than milk, that's just tan.
tf are you talking about storm was always black
She's too muscly, Storm's powers have nothing to do with physicality, she controls the weather and she was worshipped as a goddess in Africa. She should be feminine and ethereal, not a muscledyke.
>not a muscledyke
Homosexual homosexual
Inclined to agree but in a world where inhibitors collars, telepathic blacks and the like are a thing, you don't want a heroine who jobs because she can't fight street level either. She should at least be toned, though not overboard like that.
>telepathic blacks
*blocks.
Mutants aren't all heroes, some are villains, some want to live regular lives despite not looking or acting regular. An Avenger just beats up bad guys, then mostly goes back to having a regular human life. A mutant 14 year old from the house next door unknowingly possesses your body and accidentally causes massive damage and trauma. The first Fox movie did a good job showing how mutants are an epidemic plaguing communities around the world
Stan Liebowitz wanted them to be an analog to his kinsmen pushing foreigners on Americans after Kennedy's assassination.
It doesn't work because mutants are humans + superpowers. They would have the greatest upward mobility, be admired and praised.
The analogy's predicated on the lie preferences are arbitrary and baseless. That to suppress or invert one's instinctive antipathy towards an invader is enlightenment. This's a lie Jack Kirby and R Crumb sorts tell.
>Nazi Analogue
>Fascist Organization
>Free Palestine Talking Points
Rhetoric is always the real winner.
Times have changed. Now they are some avant-garde LGBTMUTANT kind of celebrity, for real. Also they are so open minded, they have their own nation (Krakoa, again) and have accepted their old enemies there. If you are mutant, you got a free press, just like irl.
>Why would the world love other superheroes but for some reason hate mutants?
But that's the whole point, moron. That bigotry isn't rational. The same Marvel civilians that suck the Avengers and F4's wieners hate Spider-man, the Hulk and the X-men. How did you miss the point so hard?
you know when people love homosexuals and Black folk for being famous but hate normal people who are gay and black? it's the same thing
Nobody who loves a famous homosexual or Black person would hate nobody Black folk or homosexuals.
normies do
>Why would the world love other superheroes but for some reason hate mutants?
Superheroes are government approved, while X-Men just pop out without control of their powers. Since most of them are teens, they are basically school shooters.
Pic is civil war starting point in comics, a bunch of teenage wannabe heroes try to take a minor villain, the guy explodes and take a whole town with him.
>Superheroes are government approved
I guess you missed the whole Civil War plot, huh?
Indeed, I should have paraphrased better, I meant msm/industrial complex/goverment approvied. Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, you can't touch these guys for a number of reasons. Spider-man is your average joe and gets a lot of shit, specially cause of the Daily Bugle. Lot of people see him as a menace, same with minor heroes like Ghost Rider, Daredevil or crazy shit like the Hulk. Fantastic Four, Alpha Flight and Avengers are pretty much the only public approved heroes, everyone else is an abomination.
Also most of mutants look like monsters, even among the X-Men, or can't properly control their powers, like Cyclops. That's is cause of concern to everyone.
ironman "won" though
all the capitan side guys were arrested while bucky had to go live in wakanda
It would might work if they led with all the freaks with absolutely useless mutations, like a leg growing out of their shoulder, the ability to determine what a person ate 5 days ago from sniffing a fart, or pubes that grow at Rapunzel speeds.
Make it known that that’s 99.95% of all mutants, then the 0.05% identifying with them even though they have useful mutations - superpowers even - might just wear a believable freak tarring.
they already lost th chance of implementing xmen in the fricking mcu when the unsnap happened
just say mutations happened as a RESULT of the unsnap and done, mutants in MCU but no they wasted this gold oportunity
they have spent the last 3 years setting up multiverse so they can bring in f4 and x-men, wtf are you talking about?
yeah and that is moronic, they are "alternative universe" f4 and xmen instead of using the perfect oportunity they had to bring xmen and f4 into the mcu
nah thats super fricking dumb, now on the other hand wasting fix quicksilver was fricking stupid but they do their testing the waters thing, disney marvel under feige is a very ell run very smart company, but it has cracks. However they are gearing up for F4 and X-Men this is obvious
>fix
*fox quicksilver
They don't care about how most supers exist because it doesn't involve the chance their kids will be born with random powers, or go to school with others that do. And other supers aren't going to replace the human race.
This is so easy to explain that it's really NOT an issue.
Fun fact there's a running joke in marvel comics that some civilians think Spider-Man is a mutant
Humans hate mutants because it's evidence that they are not the superior race anymore. Seeing a mutant child be born proves to humans that no matter what they'll always be less than a mutant at a fundamental level. They can live vicariously through Stark or Rogers knowing that they are part of the same race because they rose to their super status through human intellect but the rise of mutantkind is evidence that humans are inherently defective and will eventually be obsolete due to their inferior genetics.
homosapian superior was an interesting ultimate x-men arc, can't remember how it ended, but they wreaked super Rogue with ease
Mike Pence is right.
Kek. That's actually pic related, but he is a reverend in the comics.
Is this the homie from Succession?
Yeap. Also the best Hannibal Lecter
>Thor, Iron Man, Captain America
>adults with names and addresses who work for the government and are accountable for any collateral damage, wear bright costumes
>mutants
>plainclothes teenagers who are beholden to nobody who can accidentally level a city block by getting a boner in math class
Mutants are violent destructive gang. That's why people can hate them
>You're walking your dog in the park and generally having a good day.
>You see some guy with The Brotherhood melting people and talking about how humans going extinct
>he comes up and melts your dog and is about to melt you next
>Right before he does the X-men come and frick him up and save you but blow up your car while fighting him
>a week later when you're watching the news you see the x-men have stopped some other guy but now the guy who melted your dog is teaming up with them like nothing happened
If I was going to introduce the X-Men to the MCU, I would establish that they have been around for decades and Professor X has been using his powers to erase people's memory of mutants. Then have Prof. X temporarily taken out of commission while Magento tries to take over the world, foiled by the X-Men.
This would then leave people with very mixed feelings about mutants and mark them as distinct from heroes like the Avengers.
He's doing the soijak point
in the MCU everyone loves the Avengers and treats them like celebrities, that's actually more of a Justice League thing. Avengers used to be C listers nobody gave a shit about. Spiderman and X men were the A list and the general public thought of them as a menace. It worked back then in the comics but not anymore.
Guys look at Damage Control.
superheroes are great when there's only a few of them and most of what they do is keeping the number of people with superpowers down to a manageable level.
Capeshit is stupid anon, even the civil rights analogy is moronic. It was supposed to be an analogy to civil rights in the comics, and gay people in the movies. Which is nonsensical because what can one black or gay person do, they are just people, politics aside, the individual physical power they hold is within human range. Now take someoje like Iceman, the guy could cause havoc to a whole city by himself if ever wanted to, look at cyclops, same shit, Magneto, even worse. Its a shit analogy because gays and blacks were doing civil rights movements, one single bad mutant on the other hand is a national security problem.
Why do people celebrate soldiers, fireman, etc. but still discriminate against them if they're minorities?
Besides which, most superheroes are normal humans who've been "gifted" in some way, where mutants are seen as something other than human. Even then. look how the average man on the street reacts to someone like The thing at first sight.
Easy. Make a distinction that other heroes have full control of their superpowers. Mutants on the other hand mostly do not. Which is why they need to go to Xavier’s school in the first place. They need to learn how to control their powers. Meanwhile someone like Spider-Man has full control of his powers, so he isn’t seen as dangerous as Cyclops who could blast a room full of people just because his sunglasses falls off his face.
marvel tv was laying the groundwork for years. people like the avengers as an idea, but in reality, they're scared shitless of people with powers.
mcu movies are written by children, so no one needs a secret identity, and all supers are loved.
