>X-MEN: THE LAST STAND originally ended with Pyro returning to the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters after Magneto’s defeat and being given a second chance by his rival Iceman. Test-audiences felt he was too evil to get redemption, so he just disappears after being knocked out by Iceman, since there was no time or money to film a proper death scene.

I wish they would have had him show up in his comics costume when magneto is playing chess at the end, he sees magneto move the chess piece and Pyro says "NOW WE'RE COOOOKIN'"

(flame blast at camera, movie ends)

He's had better outfits. I'd rather see a modified version of his Freedom Force costume, but without the FF.

My homie Longshot still looking cool. Too bad nobody care about it nowday. Or maybe it's better that way since his wife got vaporized for the crime of being popular not so long ago.

Last I recall he kinda had his memory wiped and Peter David was writing him witha completely different personality. We just can't have nice things, I suppose.

Come to think of it, in an alternate timeline, Fox decided to branch out after the first Deadpool movie went so well, and gave us a crazy Longshot solo movie. Just imagine that.

Well, not something worth knowing I guess. Memories wipes where always Longshot worst ennemies I guess. Well that and this weirdass plot with his son, that was a terrible idea.

Could have been really fun, just have him doing crazy shenaningan of increasingly improbable situation, looking like a time-lost rockstar, all the while having a shit-eating grin.

If it were a straight adaptation of the source material, it would be batshit crazy enough, and introduce absolutely off-the-wall stuff like Mojoverse.

                >all the while having a shit-eating grin
Plz no, mah boi is an innocent cinnamon roll

As a kid I had no idea who he was, and never knew if he was a mutant or not. Did he make fire himself or just manipulate it, like that lighter of his?

Was he like Gambit, but with fire instead of energy and a lighter instead of cards?

He could manipulate fire but not create it, that is why he had the lighter. He had to have a little flame to use his power.

Anyway, I was disappointed that we didn't get any resolution after that fight, and would have liked him to return to the school.

He's appearing in Deadpool 3 in the void where the Fox X-Men characters are fighting in Mad Max style vehicles.

Wat. I've been avoiding Deadpool spoilers so I had no idea about any of this.

Deadpool and Wolverine end up in the Void and the TVA are in it. (Both seen in Loki Disney+ show.) There is a huge 20th Century Fox logo in the Void too. They also fight Sabretooth from the first X-Men movie.

Too evil? As far as I remember, the only thing he does is roast a guard and that's it. Evil, sure, but not irredeemable.

He blows up a mutant cure center full of innocent people humans and mutants alike, including kids. Plus he was generally a sadistic little shit, even Magneto told him to stop being so edgy.

I wish Cinemaphile had more threads like this. Random comic characters and their history.
