The comic was OK. Way more redpilled than one could assume. Women were kinda shitty at most stuff, which means no electricity, water an whatnot - overall chaos. The main character was kinda pussy, but that was the point - he was meant to grow up and take responsibility.
The TV series was a pozzed snorefest that got luckily cancelled, although for all the wrong reasons (trannies screeching on twitter and shit).

The comic had Yorrick spend like two or three issues in DC before going on a road trip. The TV show tried to drag that out into a whole season because of course it did. I don't know why comic to TV adaptions like to drag shit out for entire seasons and pad everything out to the point where it becomes boring.

no, there is a scientist who BELIEVES she ended the world because of some experiment where she effectively got pregnant with a clone of herself without using male sperm. i forget the specifics but it was something like the day all males died was the same day she confirmed she was pregnant, so for her it was like "nature realized men were useless now so she killed them all."
I'm assuming her theory is never confirmed or denied? Which is probably for the best, over explaining a premise like half the population dying suddenly would be silly. Seems better to leave it as a mystery like the leftovers.

Because that show had the most atrocious pacing in a tv show ever (at least at the time since it was before the boys), those stupid fuckers decided that they will only adapt 1 issue of the comic book for each one of ~45 minutes long episodes, it moved glacially slow.
for all its shortcomings as a series, Y's final issue is still one of my favourite endings to a comic
