Anon, normies would absolutely love Brook. Don’t think of it as an “efficiency in storytelling” standpoint.
Nah. Thriller Bark will just be condensed into a few episodes. Too much important foreshadowing stuff goes on there. It’s the same deal with skypeia. People say you can cut it, but the reality is that there is important information there for the endgame that we are not completely privy to.
You really can't cut Skypeia and anyone saying so is a fricking speed reader. The sky people are obviously very important and tied to the ancient weapons
Jaya cannot be Cut, and the entire point of Jaya is to prove the City of Gold really exist unlike what dreamless materialistic pirates like Bellamy claims
We’ll be that as it may that’s doesn’t mean it can’t be condense

You can do Jaya in an episode. You cut out the salvaging and just have the map of Skypeia fly out of the ship as it's falling. That's what the anime special did

Sure, the plot that happens in Skypeia was dragged far too long and all the new characters aside Enel sucked, so it would need a major overhaul.
But they arent cutting it. Especially after Montblanc's story was teased by Nami.

Have you ever seen a thing called Episode of Skypeia? They do the whole saga in less than 2 hours
Jaya and Saobody Archipelago are the best arcs in SOUL PIECE and I'm tired of pretending they aren't. Alabasta and Skypiea are the 3rd and 4th best arcs
Exploding Booger man and weight lady definitely aren’t going to do the “we showed up again” thing in little garden. They’re just gonna be defeated in whiskey peak and apprehended by smoker or something.
How long does it usually take for Netflix to announce renewals anyway? I know they're not shy about quickly cancelling shit if it fails to live up to expectations
Just about all of it. It's clear from how Helmeppo describes the Warlords that they're gonna adhere closer to Oda's original five year story for the show with the Warlords taking the place of the Emperors as the biggest pirates on the ocean. No way in Hell Netflix or anyone else committed to however many decades it would take to adapt the entire manga.
Yes and no. The Warlords appeared first but when Oda first started he wanted it just to be the emperor's. He introduced warlords with Mihawk then said there was 7 because he thought it sounded cool.
Yes, Oda has said in interviews that although he planned the ending of the series from the beginning he just keeps coming up with new characters whose stories he wants to tell so the series keeps getting longer
As long it keeps drawing people in, having something that could run for 10+ years is a execs wet dream. And best chance to drawing people in is sticking close to successful story and not doing their own shit.
If i was Oda, i would also think of a show-only version of the One Piece, in case they will end it before the manga. In the show It can be a normal, wonderfull pirate treasure whose real value is to crown as the new Pirate King whoever found it.
No need in the show of all the convoluted stuff of the Void Century, Joyboy ecc.
>No need in the show of all the convoluted stuff of the Void Century, Joyboy ecc.
that's literally the main attraction and the whole reason people don't drop the manga
Time, money and to set up Arlong as the seasons primary antagonist. By cutting Krieg you save a shit load of money on the battle, you stop the show looking like a villain of the week deal and give Arlong more development. Krieg never comes back but the Fishmen do.
I don't think you really need Krieg for that but Sanji should have been at Zoro's fight with Mihawk. Sanji could tell Zoro to give up and give Zoro a line saying "Get back to the kitchen. You don't know what it means to follow a dream" or something like that. That on top of everything with Zeff would have been just enough I feel
>Sanji should have been at Zoro's fight with Mihawk.
My headcanon is that Sanji was watching from a window in the restaurant because he was embarrassed to have Zoro know he likes him.
Well, 10 episodes were planned initially but guess it went way beyond the budget and since the reception before release was so bad, they probably didn't want to risk it.
I've been thinking about that and I'm not sure. If you end it with Arlong you finish the season on a high defeating the main antagonist. You finish it with Loguetown and you finish with a big lore dump and introduce some smoke butthole Luffy can't even touch. You get the hype of entering the Grandline but I think that's the only real plus
Little garden isn’t definitely getting cut. I don’t see any point on adapting that. So what are the main storylines for the Alabasta saga? Whiskey peaks? Drum? And straight to Alabasta?
The thing is season two has to end with Luffy defeating Crocodile. So something is going to be cut or condensed or mixed like they did with Arlong and Krieg
I doubt any of the non Alabasta arcs will be more than 1 ep, and don't really see the need for it either, aside of Drum Island; cutting that down to one episode sounds tricky and would require to remove a lot.
Alabasta would need AT LEAST 3 episodes to not being shitty.
So, unless the episodes became 10-12, somehow they have to put Logue Town, Loboon, Wisheky Peak, Little Garden and Drum Island in five episodes. Not happening.
Why does Alabasta need 3 episodes? They could spread out everything the whole season wby slowly building Crocodile up

>Also Luffy getting BTFO multiple times by Croco
I bet they fight once with Luffy heavily on the backfoit until he finds his weakness. I'd cut all the wandering in the dessert as well. There's no reason why it can't be the capital suffering severe drought and for Croc's casino to be there as well.
Anonymous
Croco is the very first enemy Luffy simply cannot defeat by moron strenght alone and shows the extreme gap he still have with the big boys.
You can cut like 2/3 of his defeats at the hands of Crocodile, but the first where he was completely outmatched and left in the sand poisoned must remain
>Logue Town, Loboon, Wisheky Peak, Little Garden and Drum Island in five episodes
I don't see the big issue here, really. Although the director mentioned wanted to give Logue Town two episodes but ehhh. In the extra hard cases, one can go with 90min eps.
Anonymous
Loguetown can be done in one episode
Anonymous
Well, yeah that's what I thought too and most people seem to believe, so it's pretty curious why he wanted two.
The absolute furthest this could go would be to the timeskip, for many reasons. Little garden would take more effort and cgi than everything else between loguetown and alabasta and it wouldn't be needed for something later, yeah it's fun but not something LA would need to do.
It's where Nami gets sick with a super rare disease too. Though yeah, I was thinking about the giants but they also would need to do CGI for the fricking dinos and the fish; and that's if they skip Mr. 3 fight.
I'm a fan of little garden but if we're trying to plan out an 8 episode potential season 2 it's honestly the first thing I'd cut out, besides it the only other real hurdle is chopper and every other arc/setting is an easy home run.
Puppet or cgi Chopper? His human firm can always just be some buff guy in prosthetic

I think using an actor and not using CGI is the way to go for chopper, it's not like this is going to be a 20 year project or anything so a kid growing up won't hamper them. It'll save them the headache of trying to figure out how many scenes they can cut him from to save budget.

Chopper and Caroo are the hardest things to do for season 2. None of the devil fruits are particularly difficult. Ace, Smoker, and Croc are basically just particle effects. Mr 3 is like that but slightly more complicated. Exploding boogers and becoming heavy aren’t difficult at all. Neither is the little girl with the paintbrush. Mr 2 can be done with camera cuts. Mr 1 could be annoying, but he wouldn’t be any more complicated than Luffy. And Robin can be done with the same method they learned with Buggy. Honestly the most difficult devil fruits will be Chopper and Pell. Animating animals is a much greater challenge than simple effects.
Anonymous
so you're saying the budget can afford a good chopper without suffering anywhere else? if thats the case then cool, we'll get a good chopper without sacrificing anything. anon was wondering if cgi and practical effects would up the budget, i was saying if thats a concern, cut the budget for anything else, just not chopper.

A lot of chopper can be handled with sophisticated puppets. The cg comes in on close ups and when he transforms.
Anonymous
that's what I figure. It'll be cheaper in the long run than making him fully CGI all the time
they could just sail past the island and see a couple sillouhettes of giants fighting to the death, could be a cool moment. nami getting sick and the other boroque work agents could be put in somewhere else.
They can send mr.5,mr 3 and their girls directly to Whiskey, or even in Rogue Town as the Baroque Works will be the main villains of Season 2. So the earlier they shows up, the Better.
So you can also tease the epic Buggy-Mr 3 bromance right at the start of the season
Garp is canonically in the East Blue during that time and has to take Koby and Helmeppo. Makes sense to do it now while you have the actors instead of doing so e weird flashback later. It also gives you a relatively cheap B plot
Who you guys think it’s now a virgin?

What the frick are you people talking about? Right after Reverse Mountain is straight to Whiskey Peak, then Alabasta, then Drum Island, then back to Alabasta. It's half a season at best.
> Right after Reverse Mountain is straight to Whiskey Peak, then Alabasta, then Drum Island, then back to Alabasta
For season 2 they need to cover >Loguetown >Reverse Mountain >Whiskey Peak >Little Garden >Drum >Alabasta
Since Loguetown wasn't covered in S1 but Smoker got teased at the end, so it's definitely happening. Reminder that the Baroque Works saga is just as long as the East Blue, so S2 would either have to be longer than S1 or they need to cut drastically
Here's my solution to transphobic Sanji: >Sanji wakes up in a bed with sexy legs alongside him as one of them feeds grapes into his mouth >he's grinning, not quite sure how he got there but loving every second of it >turns to his right and sees a troon >NOPES the frick out of there >instead of the trannies wanting to rape him or whatever, they're just demanding he stay there and they tend to his wounds >his running the entire time was out of misunderstanding rather than transphobia
>kills only one people on screen and its a black dude >his dojo was filled with black people and he told he had "no friends in the dojo aside her"
It seems Minority Hunter Zoro is in the live action
Honestly Loguetown really is the perfect place to start a season 2, and Jaya is the perfect place to start season 3. Both are short and recap major information for the series.
Sabaody is much later. No way they skip skypeia, water 7, Enies lobby, and thriller bark. At its absolute fastest Sabaody could be at the end of season 4
I honestly think they have no desire to rush through arcs. They’re just going to go at their own pace up until the show is cancelled or it ends. It’d also be the cleanest way to do arcs. >Season 1
East blue >Season 2
Alabasta >Season 3
Jaya + Skypeia (throw the Ace cover story and the Blackbeard fight here in the background) >Season 4
Long Ring Long Land, Water 7 and Enies Lobby (great LRLL as a refresher on the crew and their dynamics as a season opener over actually focusing on the Foxy pirates too much. You could also make Coby, Garp, and Smoker an active part of the water 7 and Enies lobby bits of this arc) >Season 5
Thriller Bark, Sabaody, and Amazon Lily (include an episode that shows us where all the strawhats are at the end) >Season 6
Impel Down and Marineford. (Post war flashback can be sprinkled throughout the arc. Might make Ace’s death hit harder if we already know about Sabo’s death) >Season 7
Return to Sabaody and Fishman island >Season 8
Punk Hazard and Dressrosa >Season 9
Zou, Whole Cake, Reverie >Season 10
Wano
Way less popular shows have gotten a second season.
If they don't frick up I think there is a chance they make it to 5+ seasons. One Piece is an incredibly popular property, and this is the first adaptation outside of the cheap ass anime.

As a kid I never watched it because even then I could tell it was cheap as frick. I was dumbfounded when I found it it was one of the biggest IP in Japan. The manga turned up to be kino though, so now I get it.
Brook is at the start of season 2 with Laboon. His dream is now to play his crews final song at the end of the Grandline like they always wanted. How would you react?
I'm looking through these arcs and I don't think a single one of them is getting straight up cut, to be honest. Some will get shortened into just one episode (Little Garden, Whisky Peak), but I don't think any arc is straight up getting cut. Just stories within them.
Don't care about Post-TS shit like any true One Piece Chad.

You really can't cut Skypeia and anyone saying so is a fricking speed reader. The sky people are obviously very important and tied to the ancient weapons
Why can’t they cut it ?
They're to heavily linked to everything in the forgotten history based on the mural Enel found.
Because it's the best arc, and fun is more important than some overarching plot that will never be resolved to satisfaction anyway
Jaya cannot be Cut, and the entire point of Jaya is to prove the City of Gold really exist unlike what dreamless materialistic pirates like Bellamy claims

>highest rated anime adaptation
Is street fighter not anime now??
No. It's a video game
That’s fair. The warlords of the seas were the original bad guys ?
Yes and no. The Warlords appeared first but when Oda first started he wanted it just to be the emperor's. He introduced warlords with Mihawk then said there was 7 because he thought it sounded cool.
Nice trips and Oda just kept adding shit then ?
Yes, Oda has said in interviews that although he planned the ending of the series from the beginning he just keeps coming up with new characters whose stories he wants to tell so the series keeps getting longer
Why would they have to commit to finishing it? That's not how any adaptation works.
No need in the show of all the convoluted stuff of the Void Century, Joyboy ecc.
>create a soulless TV version
That's how you get cancelled and won't even be able to finish that.
Its not sovless lmao. Maybe Oda had other ideas for the One Piece when he planned for a shorter 5 years story. He can recycle one of them
>No need in the show of all the convoluted stuff of the Void Century, Joyboy ecc.
that's literally the main attraction and the whole reason people don't drop the manga
they don't have to finish it, they just keep making it until it's stops making them money
How will they handle chopper ?
So why did Don Krieg got cut ?
Time, money and to set up Arlong as the seasons primary antagonist. By cutting Krieg you save a shit load of money on the battle, you stop the show looking like a villain of the week deal and give Arlong more development. Krieg never comes back but the Fishmen do.
Aside of this, there is nothing new coming from him. All the fight shows is Luffy's determination, which is obvious anyway.
I mean it’s pretty important because watching loose fight Krieg gives Sanji a reason to join the crew
Luffy fighting the fishmen did the same thing. Also there is Nami.
They missed out on having all the people watch his fight with Mihawk
Possible but on the other hand, it made Nami coming back feel more powerful that way.
>Sanji should have been at Zoro's fight with Mihawk.
My headcanon is that Sanji was watching from a window in the restaurant because he was embarrassed to have Zoro know he likes him.
This fricking show has completely ruined the One Piece subreddit bc now all it is is the same stupid threads over and over ‘
Boo hoo. Go back
All it was good for are the spoiler threads.

Wouldn’t have been more convenient to have ended the season at Loguetown?
Well, 10 episodes were planned initially but guess it went way beyond the budget and since the reception before release was so bad, they probably didn't want to risk it.
Well that’s changed since it actually pretty decent. Which is funny One Piece is the last anime I would have though that could break the curse
I mean it just fits if they had ended at Loguetown.
Little garden isn’t definitely getting cut. I don’t see any point on adapting that. So what are the main storylines for the Alabasta saga? Whiskey peaks? Drum? And straight to Alabasta?
If Oda is as involved as they say then no way in hell is Little Garden getting cut. Elbaf is way too important to him.
The thing is season two has to end with Luffy defeating Crocodile. So something is going to be cut or condensed or mixed like they did with Arlong and Krieg
None of the arcs need to be cut for that, just certain scenes and developments.
For budget reason idk if Little garden will be more than just one episode. Heck we haven’t even talked about Chopper yet
They could spread out everything the whole season wby slowly building Crocodile up
Too many fights and characters to introduce. Also Luffy getting BTFO multiple times by Croco
It's not like every SH really needs a fight vs someone named.
Episode count has to go up to 10 to not cut anything. You could always combine Laboon and Whiskey Peak.
>Logue Town, Loboon, Wisheky Peak, Little Garden and Drum Island in five episodes
I don't see the big issue here, really. Although the director mentioned wanted to give Logue Town two episodes but ehhh. In the extra hard cases, one can go with 90min eps.
Loguetown can be done in one episode
Well, yeah that's what I thought too and most people seem to believe, so it's pretty curious why he wanted two.
When did he start talking about a second season?
Don't remember any mentions of that at all.
Why two
The absolute furthest this could go would be to the timeskip, for many reasons.
3 fight.
Nami can get some normal disease common for seafarens. Or just smell the wrong flower in Whiskey or something similar.
I'm not sure what it's from but the picture of a kid with antlers people have been posting is what I'd go with, maybe a little more makeup and call it a day.
its from another netflix show, "sweet tooth".
Kids grow though anon
A dwarf then.
i'd do a combo of both, puppet for closeups and when it needs to touch and interact with live action stuff, cgi for everything else?
Will that hurt the budget
chopper should be the last thing to suffer because of budget restraint. he's a fricking crew member. i'd rather smoker get nerfed than them fricking up chopper.
Smoker is unironically one of the easiest devil fruit users to do. CGI smoke is practically effortless
ok then someone else, just if they make cuts because of budget - keep them away from chopper is all im saying
I think using an actor and not using CGI is the way to go for chopper, it's not like this is going to be a 20 year project or anything so a kid growing up won't hamper them. It'll save them the headache of trying to figure out how many scenes they can cut him from to save budget.
just for when he's in normal form you mean? cuz otherwise they'd have to scrap zoan devil fruits which would not be smart.
I don’t see smoker be that much of an issue. Chopper on the other hand is a fricking talking reindeer. Sure human form Chopper should be easy since that can get a body builder and give him a nose. Normal Chopper is a problem
Maybe they could hire Warwick
Post the pasta
Easy fix for Chopper, they'll just have Kureha join as the crew doctor instead. I hope you like Jamie Lee Curtis!
i guarantee they just make chopper a person. maybe he'll morph sometimes for his ability. it never actually matters that hes an animal at any point really.
his backstory is that he is a reindeer who eats a devil fruit on accident moron holy frick.
so? what the frick does it matter anywhere else
>never actually matters he's an animal
>backstories matter so much to Oda that he explicitly told netflix they can't change them or devil fruits in any way
>choppers backstory is him being a reindeer who eats a zoan devil fruit
pick one.
There are several times where Chopper helps the crew by talking to other animals.
no shit, therefore chopper being an animal matters, the other anon was saying it didnt, i was telling him it does
Chopper and Caroo are the hardest things to do for season 2. Animating animals is a much greater challenge than simple effects.
so you're saying the budget can afford a good chopper without suffering anywhere else? if thats the case then cool, we'll get a good chopper without sacrificing anything. anon was wondering if cgi and practical effects would up the budget, i was saying if thats a concern, cut the budget for anything else, just not chopper.
A lot of chopper can be handled with sophisticated puppets. The cg comes in on close ups and when he transforms.
that's what I figure. It'll be cheaper in the long run than making him fully CGI all the time
they could just sail past the island and see a couple sillouhettes of giants fighting to the death, could be a cool moment. nami getting sick and the other boroque work agents could be put in somewhere else.
Seems like the cheapest way would be using make up and prostetics on a kid and a man like they did with Merry
*is getting cut. Sorry phone gay
Do we really need little garden though ?
Its by far the first candidate in case they need to cut an arc in season 2.
half the story is already cut my man, take your pick
Anyone else found the Marien sub plot to drag on?
Definitely the weakest part of the show.
I didn’t like it. Why was Garp introduced so soon ?
They wanted to up the tension and have someone chase after Luffy constantly.
It was userfull to expose Luffy's Life and the world of One Piece (warlords, World Goverment, ecc.) without using oblivious exposition dumb
I mean so far, Garp is the strongest character on the show
Garp is canonically in the East Blue during that time and has to take Koby and Helmeppo. Makes sense to do it now while you have the actors instead of doing so e weird flashback later. It also gives you a relatively cheap B plot
Fair enough. When does he originally show up ?
First meets Luffy at the end of Water 7. I think the cover story where he first shows up is at the end of Arlong park
They needed to have Garp be there for the B side story for Koby.
Garp was in the manga from pretty early on too, we just didn't know he was Luffy's grandpa until after Enies Lobby
My man Krieg was cut
was kinda funny to see him and pearl get fricked up by mihawk in like two seconds tho ngl
his accent is so awful.
i got used to it
Success in that it's simply not as bad as cowboy bebop was but that it's still utterly shit with various netflix woke shit in it
Is that simply it? Just because it's not as bad as cowboy bebop was people will just accept it even when its still dreadful
What you need to understand is that normal people have very different priorities from the type of person who uses the word "woke".
kek holy shit this looks moronic.
Zoomers have such shit taste, One Piece is a super mediocre piece of shit full of cliches and filler. It's garbage.
The show is okay
Zoro is literally me
Who you guys think it’s now a virgin?
Luffy definitely
Zoro is probably to autistic to notice when woman notice him so he is a virgin
Nami? Probably fricked guys to get money of them
Sanji isn’t
Chopper is a child
Robin definitely isn’t a virgin
Franky either
Brook isn’t either
Brook is Aokijo grandpa
>zoro
>virgin
>he Is racist against black people
>Hiyomi shills for exterminating entire bloodlines of people "black as coal"
Holy shit they really are perfect for each others
>zoro paired with a literally prostitute
>luffy paired with a rape victim
>Sanji is paired with a prime 16 year old virgin jailbait
Sanjibros we won
Yeah but now the clone of Pudding’s mom is crushing on Sanji
How can Bonney be a clone of Big Ma'am if she has a father?
Are you asking how two people can be family without being related, in the story One Piece?
They're definitely blood related.
What’s up with so many people like you being absolutely certain about things you haven’t been given clear answers to yet? Is it brain damage? One piece is among other things a mystery story. The point is that you don’t have all the answers.
She cares quite a bit about Kuma, thanks to their blood relation. People who aren't blood related, even if they are a "family," do not have as much capacity for love as an actual blood relation.
You’re right. Luffy didn’t have strong feelings about Ace. How could I be so foolish.
Luffy is a special case because he's borderline moronic.
How about Sanji and Zeff, or Nami and Bellmere, or Franky and Tom, or Law and Corazon, or Chopper and Hrirluk. Could there be a pattern here? Possibly about how true family are the people you choose and that blood is irrelevant.
Nice gish gallop. Any way, chopper is a kid, law lost corazon as a kid, franky lost tom as a kid, nami lost bellemere as a kid, sanji calls zeff shitty constantly. Not exactly the same as Luffy losing Ace.
Come up with a stronger dismissal. “Lol kids can’t love a parental figure” isn’t an argument.
Would you call Sabo dumb? He loves Luffy and Ace just as much as they love him.
Whitebeard
Nami got raped by Arlong for ten long years
all i know is they better include every single robin scene shot for shot
Little Garden isn’t getting cut you morons. Ussop literally told the story of the giant goldfish.
For season 2 they need to cover
>Loguetown
>Reverse Mountain
>Whiskey Peak
>Little Garden
>Drum
>Alabasta
Since Loguetown wasn't covered in S1 but Smoker got teased at the end, so it's definitely happening. Reminder that the Baroque Works saga is just as long as the East Blue, so S2 would either have to be longer than S1 or they need to cut drastically
Has israeliteflix fully thought this one through?
Here's my solution to transphobic Sanji:
>Sanji wakes up in a bed with sexy legs alongside him as one of them feeds grapes into his mouth
>he's grinning, not quite sure how he got there but loving every second of it
>turns to his right and sees a troon
>NOPES the frick out of there
>instead of the trannies wanting to rape him or whatever, they're just demanding he stay there and they tend to his wounds
>his running the entire time was out of misunderstanding rather than transphobia
>first person Zoro kills in the series is a black guy
what about sanji in thriller bark where he reveals he wanted the invisible fruit so he could rape women
>rape
he never said rape, just a peek
i know its just funny. watch a reaction of people when they get to that part, hoo boy they dont like that joke.
That's nothing. Just wait until they get to this bit.
kek
doc Q turning law into a woman and calling it a disease was very bold of oda
They’ll just change it to him wanting the invisibility power as a kid because it would mean having his father’s respect.
>transphobic
They're not even trans + they're trying to rape him.
>kills only one people on screen and its a black dude
>his dojo was filled with black people and he told he had "no friends in the dojo aside her"
It seems Minority Hunter Zoro is in the live action
You also forgot
>Kills Mr 7
>Doesn’t kill the black cat pirates
>Kills fishmen
>Kills fishmen
Shanks would be proud
Luffy already punched a woman in the face and Zoro chopped a black guy in half. We're 2/3
Kino
This live action will never get to Kamabakka, or even to Impel Down.
Luffy and Zoro moments need to be contextualized, they're not problematic.
Little garden
?si=ishTBzh8cKKS7g2F
>That Chopper
netflix did the "tyrants want to take the weapons of the population" thing in arlong park?
the count chochula bullshit
Honestly Loguetown really is the perfect place to start a season 2, and Jaya is the perfect place to start season 3. Both are short and recap major information for the series.
shabody would be the prefect place to end season 3. Would be a bit of a cliffhanger too
Sabaody is much later. No way they skip skypeia, water 7, Enies lobby, and thriller bark. At its absolute fastest Sabaody could be at the end of season 4
They also introduce a lot of new characters too
I don't know what they should cut, but Colby still needs to be in every episode.
>but no one hurts.... mi amigos!
not sure if this was the original line
I honestly think they have no desire to rush through arcs. They’re just going to go at their own pace up until the show is cancelled or it ends. It’d also be the cleanest way to do arcs.
>Season 1
East blue
>Season 2
Alabasta
>Season 3
Jaya + Skypeia (throw the Ace cover story and the Blackbeard fight here in the background)
>Season 4
Long Ring Long Land, Water 7 and Enies Lobby (great LRLL as a refresher on the crew and their dynamics as a season opener over actually focusing on the Foxy pirates too much. You could also make Coby, Garp, and Smoker an active part of the water 7 and Enies lobby bits of this arc)
>Season 5
Thriller Bark, Sabaody, and Amazon Lily (include an episode that shows us where all the strawhats are at the end)
>Season 6
Impel Down and Marineford. (Post war flashback can be sprinkled throughout the arc. Might make Ace’s death hit harder if we already know about Sabo’s death)
>Season 7
Return to Sabaody and Fishman island
>Season 8
Punk Hazard and Dressrosa
>Season 9
Zou, Whole Cake, Reverie
>Season 10
Wano
>10 seasons
unless they recast after marineford that isnt happening.
My point was that they’re more likely going to go at their own pace until they are cancelled over trying to rush everything.
I think it's better to be realistic and hope it can even get a season 2.
Way less popular shows have gotten a second season.
If they don't frick up I think there is a chance they make it to 5+ seasons. One Piece is an incredibly popular property, and this is the first adaptation outside of the cheap ass anime.
The anime has completely fricked Gear 5. It's meant to be some fun Tom and Jerry shit but it's all obnoxious flashing lights and borderline incomprehensible animation
Upvoted.
>watching the anime past the timeskip
Why would you do that to yourself? It just a shitshow with horrible pacing for 12 yo and pajeets to drool over the same repeating sound effects and flashing lights.
I don't usually. I only wanted to see how they did Gear 5. One episode was alright. The rest was garbage
>It just a shitshow
>the cheap ass anime
As a kid I never watched it because even then I could tell it was cheap as frick. I was dumbfounded when I found it it was one of the biggest IP in Japan. The manga turned up to be kino though, so now I get it.
Shut up, doomergay. Find a new cope.
If they get to Marineford it'll be a movie.
It wont
What did both the manga and show turn into schizo lore?
It was just about some pirates finding the one piece
This. Why was the world government introduced? The story was ruined the moment Oda asspulled "Marines" into the story
So chapter 2.
Yeah. OP used to be a so good when it was about actual pirates and not le heckin cops at sea
sadly it will get the route of all Netflix series
good start - funding gets cut to half for S2
Brook is at the start of season 2 with Laboon. His dream is now to play his crews final song at the end of the Grandline like they always wanted. How would you react?
Negatively, because it’s a dumb change and Laboon will be at the end of the grand line anyways. Just need to get rid of that pesky red line.
Started rereading the manga. Bruh, Syrup village Usopp looks fricked
Yeah, it takes a minute for oda to figure out his nose.
Why didn't he shave his pits?
What the hell
Why should he?
As an American, I find body hair offensive. It reminds me of man's animal origins and is contrary to the will of God.
Make it feel more cartoony. Idk I shave my pits and body hair all the time.
Shaving armpits and pubes is only sensible because in those regions hair is nothing but a trap for sweat and a breeding ground for bacteria.
So that's why Muslims shave in accord with fitra.
You clearly haven't had sex with an Arab male
im halfway through just stopping by to say dam its alright
Season 2 will have more scenes of people talking indoors instead of action/adventure scenes. We all know the latter are very expensive to film.
I'm looking through these arcs and I don't think a single one of them is getting straight up cut, to be honest. Some will get shortened into just one episode (Little Garden, Whisky Peak), but I don't think any arc is straight up getting cut. Just stories within them.
Don't care about Post-TS shit like any true One Piece Chad.
>he's literally talking to himself
>success
it had a budget of 16mil PER episode, over 120mil total
and managed to just slide into the top5 of 2023 debuts for tv shows
it was beat by classics like

10. The Witcher s3: 15.2 million
it might be over
They will stop streaming it after a week?
They're still going with the Witcher and that third season was also over 100mil
Oh no nogsisters, we need to say it failed cuz of wypipo and racism
I imagine part of the budget for one piece live action came from Jump. Need to make more fans so you can sell more merch.
>budget 136mil
Source, dude trust me. have a nice day, Black person.
are you moronic?
like actually fricking moronic?
fricking have a nice day
the budget for the show has been known forever
Your Twitter isn't a reputable source, Black. I swear, every time that I enter a One Piece thread on Cinemaphile, the budget changes: had some homosexuals tell me that it was over 20 millions per episode just a few days ago.
>In a report from Netflixwoche (Netflix's German website, as reported by GQ), the budget for One Piece allegedly sat at around $17.27 million (approximately £14.4 million) per episode. There are eight episodes in season one of One Piece, which puts the overall budget at around $138 million.
will you now have a nice day, please?
please?
Post the source, Black person. I'm waiting.
how about now?

Naturally, with the strikes, we can't be too sure that we will get more Sovl Piece, but it's far from over. Good thing, too, because it's the only good One Piece content One Piece fans have gotten in the past decade.
have a nice day too.
Keep seething, nupiss homosexual.
The Sovl Piece series will NEVER adapt your shit arcs 🙂
And Skypiea >>> Wano/Dressrosa
Shut up, summergay.
So I'm reading the first SBS
>Shanks is currently missing, but I'll tell you how old he was 10 years ago. When he was at Luffy's village he was 27
Literally what the frick did Oda mean by this? Why not just say 37?
Maybe he was trying to be cryptic in terms of whether or not Shanks is currently alive?
Time travel is a thing, so maaaybe …
The b***h playing Kaya is distractingly ugly. The casting is atrocious. Only the main crew look like in the manga, and half of them can't act for shit.
>why does the bedridden and sick girl not look good???
She looked alright when you see her in the last episode
Casting wise, filming this in South Africa was a massive mistake. Every non westerner actor is so ugly, man. I didn't know South Africans were so hideous, but somehow they make Amerimutts look good.
>s2 with Arabasta which features tons of Zoans and a bunch of Logias including sand
I hope this doesn't get a second season, Crocodile will probably end up being an ugly fatso.
Bro, they casted a pretty handsome actor for fricking Buggy. Why do you think they'll make Crocodile ugly?
>Crocodile
Didn't they cast a negress as Croc?
That's just speculation
I kind of want to frick Sham.
Nupiss is so bad. Good thing this series is adapting the story back when Oda actually knew how to tell them.
Ooooh
>The entire Zoro vs Nami drinking game was foreshadowing for Whiskey Peak in Season 2
Mind blown
Also the entire time they drink (which is a lot), Nami never gets drunk
Weird how they cut back on Luffy drinking booze though. he drinks almost as much as Zoro and gets... Milk? What the frick was that?
>Weird how they cut back on Luffy drinking booze though. he drinks almost as much as Zoro and gets... Milk? What the frick was that?
hello covidpiecer
Luffy always drinks milk to regain his strength
I'm just going to pretend that you're not a completely fricking obnoxious wiener sucking weeb homosexual, just for one second.
You're thinking of Brooke.
>"Brooke"
Like I said, pretend.
Is this meant for children or the people who have been watching the anime since 99'?
I just dig pirate stuff and this is like some weird fever dream. I don't give a shit about One Piece otherwise.
Kind of, yes. They've said repeatedly that this series serves to help people who "missed" seeing one piece back in the early 2000s.
I've been watching this shit since 2002 and I was 12. It's a long fricking time, dude
I bet you'd say it's for adults if it was Thanos and Reed Richards instead
Is Zoro a feminist in the mango too? I liked that. Zoro says women rights!
Modern One Piece sucks. It's nice to get reminded it used to be good once
Yup, totally mindbroken.
