I really liked the show while the kids were kids. When the boy gets a growth spurt, the series is not the same anymore, although, I appreciate Winter's growth spurt. The latino kid acting like an adult while he looks like one is not cute anymore.
What's with the meta joke of having and extremely camp and morbidly obese gay guy having a job as a phys ed teacher? It's not haha funny for subverting expectations or such woke, much progressive, it's something that straight up wouldn't happen ever.
I watched the whole series over 2 month period. I wouldn't recommend it. What I can say is that it is remarkably consistent in quality, which isn't great but there isn't any season you can point to as a massive drop off despite the increasingly contrived reasons to keep all the cast members together, it's just the same kind of blandness the whole way through.
Man, it really was one of those shows watched best week to week, season to season. It's bingeable and I've done it....but you HAVE to be okay with early woke culture, and know that it's a TV show and that if any family was ever raised like this, the results would be disastrous.
Also wasn't expecting for Lilly to carry the show on her shoulders in the latter seasons when the show starts looking tired.
