If my employer made me do that, I would list my pronouns as Beelzebub. If they challenged me on it, I would say, "He/She/They do not satisfy my gender and sexual leanings, and I self-identify as Beelzebub and/or Pazuzu. And if they prefer, I could leave out my preferred pronouns altogether." And if they say neither are technically pronouns, I would say, "Not to you, maybe. Are you telling what I can or can't identify as. And should I contact my lawyer to clarify the issue from a civil rights standpoint?"

Cool fantasy though, if it helps you cope.

Neither does making people announce their pronouns in their emails.

Depends. It'll likely become a reality soon in Canada. US may or may not follow suit soon depending how bad things get. Another 4 years of Trump should abolish this nonsense, otherwise get used to signing everything he/him.

You'll be fine because if you do it, and they confront you about it, just ask them what can I choose from the, how many genders are there and it opens a can of worms

            >if you do it, and they confront you about it, just ask them what can I choose from the, how many genders are there and it opens a can of worms
Correct. If your employer gives you a list of approved pronouns you MUST choose from, that is essentially your employer telling you that you must identify as one of those pronouns, which is discrimination if you identify as something else. That is the same as telling someone they can't identify as he, she, or they. It's a civil rights violation and the ACLU would be all over that, as well as federal courts. That is why no American employer has even attempted any bullshit like this. They know they'd be litigated to hell, and the person bringing the lawsuit would backed by a team of civil rights lawyers working pro bono.

                >sure. if you can prove you've ever identified as one of the off-pronouns and you're being discriminated against.
You don't have to. I decided today, just like people who identify as they/them also chose an arbitrary day that they decided to identify by those pronouns.

                the point you're missing is

                >and then I immediately sued without talking to my boss
                means your case gets tossed

                Anonymous

If a man woke up one day and went into the office and decided to he a woman it's ok. In legit cases as well there's always a day when you decide to become officially a female in terms of pronouns. When's the cut off for any case? Even if you are just taking the piss like people in this thread are talking about, it's hard to prove. They could always say they have kept it secret for so long and they no decide they are free to express themself as a donkey or something doesn't matter what it is, it's what they identify as.

If you toss that out you are effectively tossing out the legit troony that decides to come out after years of secrecy. How do you know they didn't decide on that day and are taking the piss, and if you get it wrong and cause them of fricking about you are in serious trouble. It's all fricked up and messy and will end in tears.

... Black person, you keep spewing shit, but the point you're forgetting is you need to prove discrimination before you have a case.

as in, you need to talk to your boss or whatever the frick and have him refuse to accomidate your transcivilrights or whatever the frick you think you can manipulate to get your way.

If a biological male can decide to be female, someone that is literally a male, then yes. You as a white male can decide to become a black female if you choose, if that's what you identify as.

Yeah exactly my point. I think the form could have the standard choices of he, she, they etc and then "other not listed". Once that's there, or not there, it causes issues for them. If it's there it means you can choose what you want as they can't restrict genders, and if it isn't it means, as you have said, they are limiting the genders.
