I'm not sure the lead actress is even a Canadian citizen, so, no.
Shows like this are made presumably to sell to U.S. broadcasters or trick other foreign markets into thinking it's from the U.S. Yet, during a year plagued by strikes, no one in the U.S. wanted this show.
The beginning is a little corny, but it's a very relatable story, we've all dealt with housing issues, but the sense of community in this show is exactly what we love to see. They watch out for one another.
BUT to be honest the humour is unbeatable. I haven't seen humour like this is in a long time. You do really connect with the characters throughout the story as well. My favourite characters are tuck, and the rich entitled son who hits on every girl he sees. Everyone has met one of those in their lives. The ending leaves you wanting more and sparks a curiosity to see the outcome. I never listen to bad reviews. Find out for yourself because it is worth the try.
it is, Robyn feels like a modern day superhero story, like Arrow or Gotham, quite fun..
I really enjoyed this new rendition of Robin Hood. The writing, set design, action scenes and Actors were incredible!
The best part was when she said "IT'S ROBBIN TIME"

The best part was when she said "IT'S ROBBIN TIME"
Look the first episode is an action-packed ride that delivers entertainment in spades. These characters are fleshed out and modern. The banter and camaraderie between the cast leads add depth to their characters. The show started off a little slow, but picks up speed and never stops. Was not expecting the twists and turns that early on. I was impressed! and these characters aren't one dimensional.
I'm not a bot or a paid shill, the cast is excellent and brings the characters to life in a way that feels authentic, the relationship between Little John and Robyn is a little strange at the beginning but it's good because both actors have good chemistry, plus the story is quite decent, it has crude humor but enough to look forward to the next scene, quite refreshing...
The little I saw bordered on an '80s Saturday morning cartoon villain. Obsessed with money, lives in a dark lair, where he tries to bribe the mayor into letting him redevelop housing his father gave the city, threatens to kill his son's girlfriend, and orders the police to attack protestors. Genuinely comes across as a kid's show's villain.
just Ignore the Haters and watch Ep.1, This show is one example of what a story looks like and sounds like when it is written by someone who knows what it is to live a "certain" type of life.
Do people actually care for Robin Hood as a property? I've never seen a single one of these reimaginings that looked like anything other than dreck, but given how often they get produced, there must be Robin Hood fans out there
>trying to capture a market demographic that doesnt exist
the only ones watching this shit is going to be terminally guilty white people who will post about it on twitter
the idea of a robin hood but modern makes sense. 20 years ago I'd even call it a fun idea.
And I understand why the actors are black, since it is the [current year].
You have no fricking idea how many "re-imaginings" there have been of Robinhood. The whole concept has just been run into the fricking dirt, ESPECIALLY the ones that try to seem modern or have more mass appeal. That moronic fricking antifa inspired one with the "afghanistan with bows" sequence was particularly bad
this is why low-T slop enjoyers are getting stabbed by blacks left and right: "Oh look! It's a blessed black man, just like the ones I see in my sloppy slop shows and films, he's my moral and intellectual superior! Let me walk up to him and begin a conver - Oh! He's screaming and kicking a car?! I wonder what his bother is? I shall go and ask him and perhaps partake in some witty banter where I subtly disparage myself for being white just like in my shows - he'll approve of that and see me as one of the good whites."

we out doing bad shit homie
I noticed something about the intro theme
>the stereotype is actually a good thing!
i bet the writers felt very clever
looks fun
to laugh at
it is, Robyn feels like a modern day superhero story, like Arrow or Gotham, quite fun..
>capeshitter is the kind of audience for this slop
not even surprised
So they're adapting the Robyn Hood comic?
Looks kino...

I hope you are a paid shill or bot and not a real human. That would be sad if you typed that for free.
my guess is it's a copy-paste job straight from either a shill review on a site like rotten tomatoes or reddit

>I'm not a bot or a paid shill
Then why do you sound exactly like Bing Chat?
I don't know what you're talking about, and maybe you didn't notice that I made a lot of spelling mistakes... a bot couldn't make these human errors
Based on the use of ellipses I'd say ESL. ESLs are obsessed with using ellipses even when it makes no sense
I think he is canadian
Most leafs are ESL now
imagine the
"toronto station" or "women only tech conference"?
>meant for
????
The only good leafs speak French.
O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all of us command!
That's gotta be some Cinemaphile bait
>5% of civil unions in canada are interracial
4.9% of that is WMAF
It's pasta from one of the few positive reviews on IMDB. The account was made a few days ago.
https://www.imdb.com/user/ur171060925/?ref_=tt_urv
I knew it. It just sounded pasta-ish.
A real human didn’t write this. You’re either a bot or a minority.
>created by a guy called director x
>1.1 on imdb
>only heard of it because of Cinemaphile
Tells me enough imo

I liked that Prince John isn't really an evil villain, just an ambitious Elon Musk-type billionaire.
The little I saw bordered on an '80s Saturday morning cartoon villain. To be fair, you have to have a degree in ethnic studies to understand Robyn Hood
>Give money to the poor
>They spend it all on shoes and phones and give it right back
That's a Dave Chapelle sketch
you're trying way too hard to get people mad poltard
This isn't supposed to be a "get mad" thread. This is supposed to be a "point and laugh" thread.
Wrong as always poltard. This is pretty clearly this shifts protected raid thread.
Thanks for nothing moron.
Was not my intention.

is this the new allan smithee

I think the genre itself is why it has so many fans. Lump King Arthur and Trekkies in there with em. All the same Venn diagram.
it's an all-time great story with great archetypal characters, but this garbage is a taint of corruption and cancer messing with it
>trying to capture a market demographic that doesnt exist
the only ones watching this shit is going to be terminally guilty white people who will post about it on twitter
>twitter
You mean X
Which coincidentally is the same name as the director
did the creator of this watch robin hood: men in tights and base it around dave chappelle and the shitty rap song they do in one part?
>the protagonists are a monoethnic group
>>the antagonists are a diverse group of white men and women, pajeet officers and an East Asian mayor
What did Director X mean by this?
Everyone trying to keep a brotha down

But what's with the fricking furry masks?
>But what's with the fricking furry masks?
You have to ask?
I never watched this actually, so yes, I had to ask
frankly, animal faces disgust me.

Evil cannot create anything new, it can only subvert and destroy that which Good forces have already made.
kids will totally want to buy these cheap masks and ponchos to cosplay at cons, it's just like muh squid games!
It doesn't look bad
Every black is robbin' hoods

I thought he had kicked a scooter
