In other words shitty writing, unlikable characters, needless convoluted backstories and tie ins, and a premise so stupid that if it didn't have decades of history behind it would be shit on by everyone everywhere? Too bad, because at least in RE the characters are attractive and there's a game to play, with Netflix removing both of those there's nothing left.
