Garfield out acted that whole cast.
He made me believe that he was israeli, not a simple feat
He is israeli
He's a good israeli in my book
What the hell kind of book are you writing?
The book of good israelites
>543 blank pages
will there be a hard cover version?
Uhhh
Jesse Eisenberg can't act. Same as Leo - just plays himself in every film. Trash tier.
I'd be really interested to see Jesse in something where he strays out from himself.
Zombieland might be the closest?
If your only requirement is that he stops being a little simpering b***h for a few minutes then I suppose American Ultra also qualifies.
Bait
As usual
Andrew Garfield is a national treasure and you can't convince me otherwise.
He really is.
Under the silver lake convinced me he is awesome
He almost ruined that movie for me but I just barely accepted him in it. Thought it was a very strange casting. He does really well during the more ridiculous scenes though like with the old man who writes the pop songs
i felt like he was pretty good, having lived near that area. its outlandish, but movie outlandish.
He's a good actor he is just extremely goofy and at first I didn't understand the tone the movie was going for I guess and he felt out of place.
He is English
> Garfield out acted that whole cast.
His acting & graceful movements in Social Network directly got him ASM
>loud character is acting better
Jessie Eisenberg is the most accurate of computer programmers. If you've ever walked into a lecture hall for computer science or whatever you'll just get the meekest and robotic autists that act like Data from TNG.
agreed with this. am professional programmer, went to uni for it
I went to community college and dropped out of the first semester. Took advertising and marketing instead. Talking to people is the easiest shit.
Eisenberg was great in it: he was nominated for Lead Actor for a reason, back when award shows mattered. But Garfields part was more memorable, more in your face, and required greater depth and a bigger heart. A lot of people could have played the part of Zuckerburg, not many of Eduardo.
I went to Tufts ('06) and I met them both at a recruitment meeting for Facebook, and Mark said maybe 2 words the whole meeting ('yes' and 'Eduardo?'). My impression was Eduardo was the face of the concept and company: he was bright, pleasent and polite, very well spoken and very professional. Mark barely paid attention and if I remember correctly he left midway through to use the restroom but didn't come back for 20 minutes. I failed to understand how it would make money. I was dubious of their methods, even found it a bit devious and told them so. I was invited to their aprtment that night, and yes, that programming 'duel' for employment actually happened, I more-or-less was in attendance for the scene the movie depicts, although it took place in their apartment at Kirkland, not in some random on-campus rec room at Harvard. I slept on their couch that night and with coffee and pleasantries that morning went on my way and wished them luck.
Assuming you aren't larping, do you regret not getting in on it?
I was one of probably dozens they interviewed when they were beginning to realize they had something, so it isn't guaranteed I would have been hired anyway. I saw a bunch of red flags: I knew about 'Facebooks' at other college campuses and when Eduardo explained Mark was originally hired and even paid to develop The Facebook for the Winklevoss' I smelt a lawsuit, as did most people. I was a getting my BA at Tufts in Greek and Latin and took a programming course at Harvard which is how I met a roommate of Eduardo, which is what got me the interview in the first place: I dabbled in early CS but was mostly interested in pursuing Law which is what they were recruiting my interest in, as well as marketing. This isn't to sound conceited or vain, and I'm not happy it happens like this, but at those Universities (Harvard, MIT, Tufts) it's about who you know and how competent you can appear in social settings which is how I got the meeting, it sounds impressive maybe, but I don't think it means I'd of ever been hired by them. A lot of people could have given them legal council or worked in marketing and I just wasn't interested in doing that for them, especially since I was 4 years away from graduating Law school, and was more interested in working in civics.
>I'd of
>Legal council
Are you sure you studied law kek
>I would have
I'm typing informally on an anonymous image board. If I were drafting a document for a legal setting, I would be more discerning in my grammar and word choice.
It's legal counsel. It's just a funny thing for a lawyer to miss up
posting on an anonymous image board is not legal counsel. I was 19 then, I think they were 20? we were in a business meeting but I would say that the language we were using was largely informal. We were drunk by the end of it.
I usually browse on the weekend, maybe 2 or 3 hours a week. No I don't think it's a waste of time. It's fun. When i'm in a relationship I never come here but since a recent break-up I have more time.
I mean the word is counsel, not council. Presumably lawyers have to type or see that word constantly
??
Never mind m8 it doesn't matter. I was just being a dick anyway
he's playing dumb since you called him out
I live with my wife and I probably put in 2 hours on here after work almost everyday.
No anon, you wouldn't
Stop trying to lie.
You don't lose it.
I'm drunk watching the 9ers game and watching Minority Report during commercials of the 9ers game, sorry to disappoint you.
what are you doing on Cinemaphile lol
doesnt it feel like a waste of time?
Man there's thousands of social network threads made, eventually one of them will bound to attract the few people who were actually there. It's not farfetched it's just statistics. Every movie based on true events will have someone pop in and give their take.
This, I know two people who went to parties with Musk at UPenn, and one who was his personal assitant. It's a small world.
Exactly whom are you trying to impress with this fan fiction you've shared here?
agreed
but frick you
but agreed
Why are you people so fricking weird
Justin Timberlake steals almost every scene he's in except the one this thread is about
Why he doesn't act much more?
I like his performances, and I also like seeing singers acting, like Bowie, Leto, etc.
American (israeli) actors can't act. israelites get hired because they are israelites, when a white actor gets hired it's because the producer wants to frick them, but usually they just play themselves in every move and have zero range. It's really only British actors who play characters.
>American (israeli) actors can't act
You really think people like Daniel Day-Lewis, Joaquin Phoenix and Jake Gyllenhaal can't act?
DDL is English
And then he did Spiderman.
yes but you have to consider that he had the best material to play with, that's what people always forget when they analyze acting, i think Brad Pitt is a shitty actor who picks great roles. Look at 12 Monkeys for example, it doesn't matter if you put Daniel Day Lewis instead of Bruce Willis in that role, there's not much to "act" with, unlike Brad Pitt's part
I agree with your point but bad example, Bruce Willis' role in 12 Monkeys had a lot to act with, it's just more subtle than Brad Pitt's very overt "I'm craaaazy" role.
Garfield is one of the best actors working today hands down. He's incredibly underrated. Even with shit scripts like Spider-man 2 he manages to act his heart out.
Andrew Garfield is the best Spider-Man and I'm tired of pretending he's not. The movies were shit but he is the best actor to play him
I realized this when I finally got around to watching No Way Home and he ran circles around the other two, I say this as a Raimigay
Has Garfield ever even acted as a British character? He's dual citizen but raised in the UK, his native accent is English
Feels like he's always American mode though
Threadly reminder that Zuck did NOTHING wrong.
zuck pls
zuck fricked over his only friend because he "didn't do his jobs properly"
If my friend was costing me billions of dollars by not doing his job, yeah I'm gonna frick him over in court.
they were already rolling in money when he preempted fricking him over.
Never saw it and I think that's for the best.
its shit cause it makes zugbeg look like some 200iq genius which is obviously bullshit.
Truly kino scene and a Cinemaphile classic
His abysmally small share of FB was still worth millions
So?
Being the poorest rich guy is worse than being born in a Sudanese refugee camp with congenital AIDS.
I’ll volunteer I don’t mind
It was about sending a message.
And he lawyered up and got billions
he was the cfo, funded the thing from the start and used his business knowledge to grow the brand. He got royally fricked no matter how you twist it
Parker fricked him, and is still destroying social media: He created a company to shill political philosophy on social media, paid actors on accounts, thus destroying the orgnanic nature of socials.
He was nowhere near as active with facebook as he was in the movie. It took him months to even realise his shares had been diluted.
how can someone dilute your shares without your approval esp if you're the co owner
He signed a contract without reading.
But you know what’s cooler than a million dollars?
My wife's boyfriend?
Back when Facebook had soul.
Amazing scene and an awesome movie, still holds up today.
Why didn't Zuck just be nice and give what he owed?
>Why is a israelite evil?
so weird they never mention darpas facebook lifelog that closed down the very same day facebook started up. crazy coincidence theres now movies about imaginary founding of this fake social media site and fake fights over who created it, etc.
Are you saying Facebook is simply DARPA, but under the guise of a publicly traded company?
That’s why I’ve never had an FB account.
I haven't had a social media account in 7 years. I'm convinced Musk is the same as Zuck under different pretenses: Zuck for Libs, Musk for Repubs (what they mean today, anyway). They aren't that anymore: The John Locke liberals are non-existant today, and the Plato Republicans do not exist in parliament.
>Eduardo Saverin: [cutting him off; screaming] Sorry! My Prada's at the cleaners! Along with my hoodie and my 'frick you' flip-flops, you pretentious douchebag!
the frick are frick you flip-flops anyway
>YOU MISERABLE PRESUMPTUOUS NO TALENT!
How do you respond without sounding mad?
>I know you are, but what am I?
>you only have 10% of my attention
>Did you think we were going to let you parade around in your ridiculous suits pretending you were running this company?
how do you respond without sounding mad?
>ridiculous? suits are good
Sorry my suit is at the cleaners along with my matching flip flops
I used to shit on this movie just because I don't give a frick about social media or a college setting, then I found out it was Fincher. Wish I was told this sooner, pretty good film.
frylock...
the social network is a documentary. and the events happen, in real time.
post the hacking scene
>you'll never grab tobey and toms ass at the same time, israeliteberg
imagine if jared worked for facebook instead of piedpiper
everyone you grew up with and knew, called jared was a fricking butthole. right up there with the tylers and jacksons
He's the main character of the movie and I feel bad for him.
