In theaters and on streaming. Loren Bouchard said the movie actually outperformed Disney's expectations, but only because their expectations were so very very low
You know what would've helped?
ACTUALLY SHOWING LOUISE WITHOUT THE HAT.
She just looks like Linda, it isn't even a secret.
People have been saying it for years.
Just because we have an idea of what she looks like doesn't mean we know. What's wrong with showing it as a reward for fans?
Fanny also offered sex to Felix.
That's not the point. Kenny looks the same as every other kid without his hood, but the South Park Movie still managed to make his face a big and memorable character moment.
>ACTUALLY SHOWING LOUISE WITHOUT THE HAT.
wait, she doesnt lose her moronic hat in the movie? fricking why?
Something about how it can never live up to expectations and that's it better to leave it as a mystery.
Though if they did show louise without the hat more people might've cared to go and see it.
I enjoyed the movie a lot, actually. Definitely of the better “Show: The Movie” movies. The problem with releasing it now, though, is that the show’s been slowly neutering itself, so expectations weren’t high.
She simply finds a new reason to wear the hat. Originally it’s because she feels scared without it and associated it with her fears, but by the end of the film and after Bob talks to her she wears it out of pride, because it ends up representing her parents’ love and pride in her. It works well in the film.
You and your freaking hat!!
Everybody knows it's the feet where it's at.
There is a happy compromise, where we see a barefoot and hatless Louise.
Barefoot. my heinie!!
She's wearing them mules.
Barefoot is where you can see her toes, Anon.
I got you footfam.
They really can't seem to decide whether they wear shoes in the apartment or not
To be fair I wouldn't want to be barefoot around Gene because that kid is nasty. Probably hocking loogies on the floor and leaving his skid marked underwear laying around.
Louise doesn;t.
Many thanks, Anon.
De nada.
no, trust me, loren made the correct decision not to reveal it.
in fact they they did the exact opoosite which was to downplay the hat and highlight the character's feeling and emotional conflict behind wearing the hat which is much more interesting than simply taking it off.
also, non of the advertisement even hinted at her hat being taken off so i'm not sure why people expected it as all...
>also, non of the advertisement even hinted at her hat being taken off so i'm not sure why people expected it as all...
Bob's Burgers had already done an episode where Louise loses her hat years back, but said episode still taunted viewers by deliberately keeping hatless Louise off-camera. For the longest time, none of us even knew the main premise of the film, so the crew's confirmation early on that it would reveal the story behind Louise's bunny ears was naturally what many of us exclusively focused on and it got us thinking if there was ever a chance for the franchise to actually show this spectacle, it'd be in a MOVIE.
But I do like your take on how casually keeping Hatless Louise obscured works in the context of the story.
I think Loren is wrong, not showing Louise without the hat is letting Louise be defined by hat. It's like what that Plinkett crystal skull review said about indiana jones, if the hat is so necessary that you can't let the character not be seen without it then they're not a real character but a shallow archetype.
Also it just doesn't make sense to not show Louise without the hat. Like her emotional arc almost require to show her without to show Louise can let down all of hee defenses and be laid bare and vulnerable with confidence.
And it's not just that character that needs it but the audience too, we need that closure or else you're just jerking us around.
And also this is the theatrical release that he's been talking about for years and you're never gonna have a better time to do it so it's really just an all around missed opportunity.
>in fact they they did the exact opoosite which was to downplay the hat and highlight the character's feeling and emotional conflict behind wearing the hat which is much more interesting than simply taking it off.
The best way to highlight that would be to directly show that Louise is okay without her hat on. Refusing to show it undercut the point of her arc, it was very bad visual storytelling, refusing to actually show the audience the culmination of her arc. After the entire story about her hat, it was akin to giving the audience the middle finger.
i hate the animation they did
Highly doubtful a cartoon characters hair reveal would have helped much in terms of movie tickets
Ah the standard of Bob's Burgers. Meeting low expectations
The Belcher's family motto.
It's a very Belcher victory
Remember kids, 2 out of 5 ain't bad.
Wasn't the movie greenlit before the FOX merger? That would explain a bit.
what was it, again? $40 million on a $38 million budget (not counting the additional $20 million spent on marketing)?
No. Budget $38M (before marketing), box office total $34.1M, with $31.9M being domestic and rest from other territories.
>Loren Bouchard said the movie actually outperformed Disney's expectations
COOL HORSESHIT BRO
TV cartoon film adaptations traditionally do poorly in box office, unless it's a Simpsons or Spongebob tier IP.
Any hard numbers to that?
Yes, I liked it
Why would they cancel the series OP? Use your head for one second.
This
>B-But a movie that was never expected to be a multimillion dollar blockbuster wasn't a multimillion dollar blockbuster!!!!
Honestly, it'd be a bigger surprise if it did become a multimillion dollar blockbuster. It would be nice but Bob's Burgers is barely that popular as a television show, let alone being able to sell out full theaters
This still makes me laugh, but it was ultimately my way of coping with the inevitability of Bob's underperforming in theaters. Those of us who'd been waiting for this film knew it would flop unless some miracle pulled tons more eyes to the franchise. We saw how many people forgot the movie was still in production or straight up never knew it was happening. Bob's never had a chance. I wasn't surprised to see how poorly it did in theaters. I'm just happy I enjoyed it, doubly so on the big screen.
It didn't flop, it just wasn't a multimillion dollar blockbuster.
>Those of us who'd been waiting for this film knew it would flop unless some miracle pulled tons more eyes to the franchise.
You gotta be SUPER mainstream (and at least a little controversial) for that to happen. When a big enough crowd expresses their hatred for a franchise, it'll develop an opposing crowd that relishes in their "cringe" show and wears their love for it like a badge of honor. Minions has a hatedom, Rick and Morty has a hatedom, but I don't think anyone can truly say they "hate" Bob's Burgers, so there's no one who'll feel a need to lash out with active support for the franchise. At most, people might find Bob's Burgers uninteresting and will ignore it entirely, but no one has ever ranted about the series. You can't expect to be as iconic as pic related if you're typically met with lukewarm reactions.
Yes
Didn't come to theaters in the netherlands so I had to wait until last week's digital release. Loved it though, will definitely rewatch it sometime.
Speaking of BB, why is it currently om Cartoon Network?
It's on the adult swim block.
That doesn't start until 9.
Yeah?
what country? different countries have different ideas about what's appropriate for a kid to watch. i.e in greece and italy the show Friends is given a rating equivalent to the US' TV-Y7
They show full on fricking on italian tv?
Americans are frickin' pussies anon what's new?
i dont think friends has full on fricking but when I was in greece in 2020 the show had a rating saying it was appropriate for 8 year olds
my italian buds also say its the same over there
can confirm italian tv doesn't give a single frick about T&A
look up "veline striscia la notizia"
these girls would do a little song and dance during prime-time TV during dinner time, while the program is some sort of mish-mash of funny clips, some light journalism reportings
America. East coast.
America. Granted it has a TV-PG-DLV rating (most CN shows nowadays only hit base TV-PG with no descriptors.)
TIL in Italy you can talk about being cucked by your lesbian gf and making a sandwich while it happened, with it still being TV-Y7 in.
BAKA, what happened to the Catholic strongholds in the world?
>BAKA, what happened to the Catholic strongholds in the world?
Mediterranean people are horny by nature.
>On the evening of the last day of October, 1501, Cesare Borgia arranged a banquet in his chambers in the Vatican with "fifty honest prostitutes", called courtesans, who danced after dinner with the attendants and others who were present, at first in their garments, then naked. After dinner the candelabra with the burning candles were taken from the tables and placed on the floor, and chestnuts were strewn around, which the naked courtesans picked up, creeping on hands and knees between the chandeliers, while the Pope, Cesare, and his sister Lucretia looked on. Finally, prizes were announced for those who could perform the act most often with the courtesans, such as tunics of silk, shoes, barrets, and other things.
I don't think there could ever be a story Bob's Burgers could tell that would be big enough to warrant a theatrical release.
No but you
I sure hope so, I don't want Bob's Burgers is to be milked to death like Simpsons and Family Guy, and see the day it reaches a Season 20.
I dunno. I feel like BB is an outlier here because I feel like it has a lot of potential. The writers and runners seem to be pretty competent and haven't been highjacked by leftist psychos like the simpsons. Didn't the creator say he wanted to take the show to the next level after the movie?
I just hope they can pull it off, maybe if Bouchard or others don't leave the show, then maybe it can join with American Dad and South Park in terms of longrunning shows that are still good.
>and haven't been highjacked by leftist psychos like the simpsons
The show is hella queer and gives; lynch your landlord, working class, be yourself, frick the banks vibes. the show is the only actual leftist show that doesn't have dumbed down libtard "Vote Blue No Matter Who" politics. Seriously are we watching the same show?
It can never be leftist because Bob is a filthy petit-bourgeoise; when the wagie uprising begins he will not be spared.
>Can't afford to pay for actual workers
>Is the only one who works in his restaurant (Other than the kids who barely work anyways)
>Literally owns his own means of production
>Petit-Bourgeoise
Regardless at least from what I've read the Petit-Bourgeoise often side with the proletariat through fear and threats from the uprising
I will not accept this slander of Comrade Belcher.
Ah, the simple tunes of the proletariat. Say Bob, do you remember that delightful little bunny girl? I recall her being very interested in meeting a wealthy gentleman.
>Regardless at least from what I've read the Petit-Bourgeoise often side with the proletariat through fear and threats from the uprising
I don't know what theory you're reading but it's almost always the opposite. Small business owners suffer from capitalist oppression but still have too much to lose in order to support class warfare, making them the biggest supporters of fascism.
His restaurant isn’t popular enough for him to get revolutioned
I couldn't stand the movie it was really boring and a rehash of a bunch of better episodes. They really should have held off on that two-parter because it pretty much does everything this movie does a million times better. the movie was so boring I couldn't finish it. Bob's Burgers will go on forever like Family Guy or The Simpsons.
If the movie was more popular, would he have become a tumblr sexyman?
no
Isn't BB popular on tumblr? Or at least I remember it being popular when it first started, specifically Tina
BB's popularity kind of died down with the death of tumblr.
Looking at that site is just sad these days. It's like walking into a once thriving city after the last factory moves out of town.
it's for the best. I haven't actually been there in years but from what I heard, all the autism that gave tumblr it's notoriously bad reputation moved to twitter after the porn purge, so now what's left is a few people who are genuinely chill.
>be puritan who hates porn
>leave your site because porn got banned
Frick these hypocrites
So how does Grover get out of jail? I'm assuming Calvin bails him out for something
He murdered a guy and wantes ro murder seven more people.
He's never getting out.
Franny was about to murder five people.
Franny didn't kill anyone though. Grover did in cold blood.
Carnies aren't people
t. Lucky Duck
It was fun,the forced Bplots for Gene and Tina were....forced B plots. Even Louise's was kind of unnecessary since I could easily see her doing this without anything to prove but atleast it drove the plot rather than "we need to bring this up because this is their arc"
He's a guest VA so it's not like he's totally necessary to the plot....honestly I haven't watched the new seasons was he an important new character? They could probably pull a Sideshow Bob where if they really want him back he either escapes or is brought out to help the plot.
>was he an important new character?
No, I'm pretty sure he was specifically put in the show so people could get used to him while the movie was in production. I liked it that way though, it was a lot better than just having him appear for the first time in the movie and making it extremely obvious that way that he would be the main antagonist.
They really dropped the ball on those character arcs. Kinda odd that Louise's hat becomes a "big" deal before Chloe called her a baby.
I didn't even remember his character and it was painstakingly obvious Grover was the murderer.
>Kinda odd that Louise's hat becomes a "big" deal before Chloe called her a baby. A good bully can really pick up on those hidden insecurities.
He is a Tumblr sexy man.
He has the look of a Tumblr sexy man with zero percent of the personality that appeals to that audience. I mean, pair up his villain song against "How Bad can I Be" and "Biggering". There's no comparison.
A fair amount of them like it, but it's not as popular there as it used to be. At most, that demographic of people mostly liked Tina because she was openly horny and somewhat confident and had quotes that work for mass reblogging. However, most of the people have outgrown BB for the most part there, with Owl House getting more play these days.
>He has the look of a Tumblr sexy man with zero percent of the personality that appeals to that audience.
Wow I couldn't disagree more. He's a evil uptight neurotic nerd acting out, that's a tumblr sexy man model right there.
Okay, maybe 30%. I didn't see his acting out as particularly endearing. A character like the Onceler or Sherlock are like nerdy/autistic "bad guys" acting out against the "normals" but he came off as like a parody of that. Maybe I'm misreading it though, but I've seen very little excitement over him.
Onceler is hot because of his twink body. His first costume is handsome and he looked delicious in a suit. Personality made no difference to me.
>Personality made no difference to me.
You are the only person I've seen say this but ok, takes all kinds I guess.
>His first costume is handsome and he looked delicious in a suit.
I agree, though his first costume gives me 2009 hot guy vibes down to the fricking fedora. Like, I get flashbacks to freshman year classmates talking about lusting over Johnny Depp type of shit when I see it.
Also, HBCIB is still an absolute bop and I unironically listen to it when I get the feeling.
"Biggering" would've been better. We needed to see the Onceler's descent into greed. The Onceler may be eye candy, but the movie stunk.
Tumblr lost it's popularity when it went onto the App Store and had to ban pornography. Is that why Twitter is so alt-left? Porn?
>"Biggering" would've been better. We needed to see the Onceler's descent into greed.
I agree. I still like How Bad Can I Be but Biggering was a far better song and was storyboarded quite well. The movie is ass, but it was ass the moment they started talking about environmentally friendly pancakes and "Trufula-approved" cars. I took an AP Environmental Science class that year and we shit hard on that movie since we watched it on bootleg after watching the original Seuss. So bad on so many levels.
>Is that why Twitter is so alt-left? Porn?
NTA but Tumblr was already fostering an anti-porn faction in the Gravity Falls and SVTFOE fandom around like 2014-2016. I'm sure other fandoms too, but I distinctly remember those. When most migrated to Twitter, they took all those beliefs with them and mutated in the incredibly reactionary Twitter environment.
Thing is, The Lorax had seeds for a solid Seuss movie that would rival Horton Hears a Who. The kid should've been motivated by his own desire instead of wanting to get into Taylor Swift's panties and the granny has to go. They really could have gone hard and bleak on the environmental devastation and what made a good man so careless, but nope, gotta feed marshmallows to bears.
>wanting to get into Taylor Swift's panties
Can't think of a more forgettable aspect of the movie. The manlet villain had more charm and interest to him than probably one of the most advertised aspects of the movie. That decision to have her felt like an executive saying "it's 2012, we need her to draw in the teen girl demographic to watch this movie"
His voice is annoying, his song sucked and he couldn't even come down a slide sexily. Nothing tumblr sexyman about that.
Being a gangly nerd is the core of being a tumblr sexy man, Trust me I'm a doctor in tumblr sexy manology.
>Trust me I'm a doctor in tumblr sexy manology.
Well, I'm gonna need a top 5, Doc.
Gladly.
First off the number one spot will always be Misha Collins, followed By Sans from Undertale, the Oncler naturally then Loki with then Bill Cipher follwing the rear.
And number 6 is the warden from superjail who was also voiced by David Wain.
>Sans
>Onceler
>Loki
>Bill
I forgot how much online lust went into those characters. In the case of Sans, I wasn't into Undertale when there was peak thirst over him. However, I remember how much Bill art there was of him, and how much he was shipped with Dipper at peak Gravity Falls.
Not even mentioned the mad hatter. You need your degree revoked doc
Im a commission artist for tumblr sexymen and I think you need to get a second opinion, doctor.
Oh you gonna tell me that most tumblr sexy aren't tall skinny nerds?
Fat fricking chance.
Lately it's been alot of Dio and Hannibal stuff in all honesty.
>Hannibal
Well ok but I'd label Will as a tumblr sexy man.
Oh definitely.
Nohomosexual but this was a great romance. I guess I enjoy gays more when they're psychotic murdering geniuses.
The two actors just had amazing chemistry, they really sold the weird murder-romance vibe.
>tall skinny
yes
>nerd
eh
as far as i know, it's the evil-for-the-sake-of-evil literal murderers and demons kinda thing, otherwise this kinda guy from becky prim would qualify
Grover is a bad person but bob's burger has the habit of severely downplaying stuff like that, and he mostly did it for business
I mean the character not even being remotely sexy is a huge part (not mandatory though) of being a tumblr sexyman.
Grover should've been used more. This is probably the last time he'll ever appear so I would've liked to see more of his personality. Maybe focus on how for a while it looked like he and Louise were the only ones who believed Mr. Fischoeder was innocent and were trying to protect him. They can work together and build a relationship so that Grover being the murderer has a bigger impact even though it was obvious from the start.
Honestly yeah possibly.
already is
Grover's such a fun character, hope they redeem him
>hope they redeem him
I honestly think he's a little too vile of a person for even a show like BB to ever "redeem" him. He might get some prison visits though, who knows.
Vile is relative as hell on Bob's burgers. Like that guy who tried to run bob and his family off the road? That dude was vile as shit because he knew there was kids on that car and he still try to run them off the road.
>oh but he's having a rough Christmas so that's ok.
Yeah but Grover actually killed an innocent guy over a fricking business scheme, I don't think anyone else in the show has reached that level of scumminess. Although Fanny was going to and she's also "normal" now so maybe you're right.
they never redeemed fanny or implied she was normal.
i suspect the only reason she was included in the movie at all was to further implicate felix as a red herring. i doubt she's coming back to the show.
This. Fanny's a total airhead, so I'm not even sure such a cartoonishly dumb character is comparable to the likes of Grover, Felix, or the Candy Cane Truck guy.
>Yeah but Grover actually killed an innocent guy over a fricking business scheme
Cotton Candy Dan probably did some fricked up shit in his life.
>EVEN THOUGH WE'RE KINDA SKETCHY GALS AND FELLAS, DOESN'T MEAN THAT FISCHOEDER CAN GO AND KILL US
Cotton Candy Dan was just a humble working man when he lost his life. He did nothing wrong.
>t. grover
BUT HE DID HIS TIME
HE PAID FOR HIS CRIME
That line actually really stuck with me. If society is going to ostracize ex-cons who dutifully serve their sentence, why even bother pretending prison is for rehabilitation? It's sad.
Who knew all those years ago that Calvin would end up being the best, if not the only close-to-sane member of his family. He's a tough but fair landlord, gives jobs to those cast away by society (probably so he doesn't have to pay them much, but still), doesn't frick with small businesses and doesn't snap into murderous episodes like his brother and cousin. Every Fischoeder brought into the show is a worse person than the last, I really hope we see more of these guys in the future. Like a Fischoeder family reunion or something where we see that Calvin and Felix are actually the normal ones and everyone else is batshit insane in comparison.
Even then, Calvin's not a GREAT guy. He uses carnies because they're desperate ex-cons and busted them up when they tried to unionize against him.
He's more on the neutral side, but he's far from innocent. Don't forget he's also friends with "Arson Daly".
Yeah I know, he's still shady as hell and on top of everything you said, Grover's words in the movie also strongly imply that he's guilty of crimes that he simply never got caught for.
If he was paler, had black messy hair, and bags under his eyes, he would have made it regardless of how successful the movie was.
every day we come downstairs unlock the door and turn the sign to open...
OPEN
is another day I give myself a little diarrhoea from the stressing and the worrying and the hoping...
No because Bob's Burgers lost all the edge that made it worth watching at all
I saw the movie with my girlfriend in the theater the week it came out. We were one of the few people who actually sat through the movie, since like half the theater left to sneak into Top Gun across the hall after the movie ran for 10 minutes. Not complaining since they paid for the ticket and it gave us a semi-private theater experience.
My thoughts on the movie itself was that it was a fun movie that outperformed my expectations. It should've came out way earlier than it did but I can excuse it because of the pandemic and shit.
Acting like watching this movie is an obligation is embarrassing enough on animation Twitter without you bringing it here.
First time I've agreed with one of your negative posts. It's fricking laughable how many people championed The Bob's Burgers Movie as "our one chance to save 2D animation on the big screen" only for nobody to watch it, nobody to talk about it, and nobody to remember it even exists after just two months.
The movie was adored by the few diehard fans left, and that's all that really matters in the end. It was obvious that anyone disinterested with a show that's been on for over a decade wouldn't care to check out its film (assuming they even knew it came out). The Bob's Burgers Movie flopping in cinemas is like water off a duck's back. I couldn't care less how much money Disney lost from it. I enjoyed the movie, and I can't wait for Season 13. Screw anyone who didn't care to give it a chance. If they haven't seen it by now, then they never planned to.
This, I don't know why people are so insistent on shilling a movie to an audience that won't care about it. Anyone who wanted to see this movie probably already has or is going to at some point, why try to advertise it to an audience that doesn't care? It's already too late for the movie to "do well", it was never expected to do well, the fact that it even came out is a miracle that a lot of people didn't believe would happen, and it's still liked by most of the show's fans even if that isn't exactly a huge crowd these days. Is that not enough?
Small but dedicated fanbases are comfy as frick to be in, man. One might even say that small niche fanbases are the only ones that feel good to be in at all. OP should enjoy it while it lasts instead of complaining that not more people are on the BB train.
>the fact that it even came out is a miracle that a lot of people didn't believe would happen
100% this. I'm sure there were more than enough instances where the movie could've been shelved for good, but somehow it made it out alive and managed to be worth the wait. I find solace in that. A niche fanbase is fine and all, but I wouldn't be against a little more cooming over Linda.
>spoiler
This I cannot argue against. I'm tired of the e-girl oversaturation in this show's lewds scene.
So apparently at SDCC they had a Bob's Burgers popup with the donut bar.
Owner in Bob Cosplay.
Lindagays here's a irl Linda for ya.
>in yoga pants
There is a famous donut burger because america. I don't think this is the place where you get it though.
Check out that Tina.
Ok so digging a little deeper it was an unaffiliated popup. Somebody better call a lawyer who isn't Grover.
But there was an offical bob's burger popup at SDCC.
>free burger from 3-6
And for you non-americans out there, that's just everyday practice in America.
Man this would've been great promotion for the movie.
Got most of this from twitter, you can see it on Bob's burgers offical twitter account.
I wonder if someone will grade that card
>blu-ray and digital
Are DVDs a thing anymore?
>that guy playing tina looks like he went past the point of not wanting to live and just keeps on existing
>perfect cosplay
>that motherfricking louise
I didn't watch because they fired Jay Johnston. I like Bob's Burgers, but not enough to betray my beliefs.
Too young and sexy.
>day drinking
alriiight! crackers, where’s the crackers
you’re comin to bed with me, come on
I NEED Linda to wear dresses more often.
Always a fun surprise on the rewatch when she happens to be in a new outfit
Haha yeah. "Fun" is one way to put it haha
Fun for my pipis
bob is mexican?
>Beto's hamburguesa
Donuts? But that's The Simpsons's food.
>The Simpsons- Donuts
>Family Guy- either Beer or Fried Chicken
>Futurama- Pizza
>Bob's Burgers- Burgers
I watched it on HBO max and loved it.
It was just 1 giant episode of Bob Burgers and it worked.
I genuinely do not understand what anybody sees in this show. It just doesn't land for me at all. To me it's a very, very slightly more modern-culturally relevant Simpsons.
>To me it's a very, very slightly more modern-culturally relevant Simpsons.
Yeah but that makes it sound really popular.
Bob's Burgers peaked with the third and fourth seasons. I would say Gravity Falls and Regular Show had more edge than new Bob's Burgers- it's mostly fart/poop/pee jokes.
Inertia. Nostalgia. I don't really know. I like the show but it isn't the same for me as it was those first couple seasons.
I hope the movie flopped so it'll get cancelled
Should've had more Louigan bait to really boost those numbers.
Or not.
Even Kristen Schaal likes Louigan!
Wait, what? No way.
That's what I heard on twitter but there's no source so maybe it's bullshit? Or maybe Kristen Schaal was being unbelievably awesome by trolling everyone by saying she does.
She brought it up at a panel when someone asked if Louise would get a love interest. https://files.catbox.moe/bg7b5x.MOV
Classic Schaal taking the piss.
I love it
More horny Louise, please. She needs to give Glenn Quagmire a run for his money.
This but unironically
Would've certainly caused some controversy which could've gotten the movie more press and butts in seats.
>cast kurt braunohler who has an established chemistry with Kirsten Schaal
>have his character star in one of the most iconic episode in the series
>basically have a perfect roccuring character for Louise to gonup against
They quite literally sank your ship, sucka.
You can sink what was never meant to be canon. Louigan will live on as the best e-girlhet ship in the hearts of the fans.
Everybody knows Louise is destinied to marry Rudy, like her mother. And Tina will be forever alone like Gayle
>Everybody knows Louise is destinied to marry Rudy
Bro Rudy doesn't even like Louise that way.
He will. In my heart I know this to be true.
Rudy is a simp for Chloe Barbash that he's not even gonna realize when her and Louise start hatefricking in high school.
They're still 9, moron
the frick does that matter anon? Rudy knows what he likes already and it's Chloe Barbash, not Louise. yeah there's a chance Louise could grow up to be a total smoke show, maybe even surpassing Chloe Barbash in terms of hotness, but if Rudy only starts noticing her after the fact then that makes him shallow.
So Linda is going to marry Rudy as well?
Right after Bob chooses his mistress over Linda.
Who's gonna be Bob's mistress?
Teddy.
Tina's estranged biological mother.
that's right
They thought getting rid of Logan would kill us.
But instead we're just getting stronger...
>sexually precocious Louise
frick yeah
It's hot but it makes me feel cucked.
That's the only way I would feel un-cucked, if he rejected her and got w some Chloe Barbash type hotty. I'd be annoyed at him for breaking our girl's heart, but wouldn't feel cucked anymore.
They sank my battleship
rouise shippers stay winning she will short children in the end game
>bumping a dead thread
I really want to see a louise episode where she goes to summer camp and Logan is a camp counselor there.
Put them both in shorts with the summer heat and let the sexual tension boil over.
I like the way you think
has greatly influenced my views on Louigan, there's an unspoken sexual current here between Louise and Logan that's just fascinating. early season Louise was always dropping hints and innuendos that suggests she know more about sex then a 9 year old should but here we see her actually experincing sexual attraction.
>one day you will FATHER my CHILDREN
Like that might be something a kid innocently says but Louise isn't a regular kid, she knowingly winks in Art Crawl when she teasingly said:
>What's it going to take to get you into this rhino anus today?
Early Louise would definitely understand the connection to babies and sex meaning here she's basically admitting thinking about sex with Logan.
Did she actually say that line about fathering children though?
No that's just from that fanart. But it's no question that Louise will turn boy crazy just like Tina. Because along with "Ear-sy Rider" season 3 also had "Boyz 4 now" and that shows how much puberty is gonna affect Louise. In that episode Louise was acting more thirsty then Tina which is quite an achievement.
>No that's just from that fanart. But it's no question that Louise will turn boy crazy just like Tina.
Boy crazy like Tina, maybe not? I can see her being exceptionally horny though.
Exceptionally you say?
Would Louise use an object like a cucumber or would she just use fingers like a normal person. Tina seems like the type to just hump a pillow and we already know Linda would be the type to own sex toys.
Cucumber. Absolutely.
Fingers. Absolutely.
Or an actual dildo.
She's too sexually mature (in terms of knowledge) to use cucumbers. That's like a child experimenting who doesn't really understand what they even have a vag for.
This reminds me of when I read some woman's account of discovering how to jerk off and she said some shit like she assumed she had to stick random objects in to get off and almost got caught with a cucumber in her, panicked, and put it back in the fridge.
>Honey I don't know what you did different but this salad taste amazing.
She'll find a boy she can control and wrap him around her finger before he even realizes they became a couple. That's how I see it.
What triggered her kiss of Rudy in Bob, Actually was her protectiveness over him and her jealousy of Chloe.
I think Louise may object to anyone getting with Rudy and that kinda means she's gotta get with him by default.
She was jellin' over Rudy and Chloe. No doubt. Frickin' Miss Labonz cutting off perceptive Tina.
It's not a pity kiss. She slapped that mfer harder than she's slapped anyone in her life. All her body weight went into that mega slap.
Trust me anon, Rudy would be dead if she did.
It doesn't have to be Rudy, but due to limits of the cast, it will be him, yes. That's how I see their future, she calls him her boyfriend and he's not sure why all the way to the wedding.
Even with a wider cast... The guy's a perfect long term partner for her. They could do higher sexual tension with other guys, but romantically they complete each other.
>not boy crazy but exceptionally horny
You mean she's bi?
Some people think so
Some of those people are me.
Bullshit.
YES. Hot.
I want Louise to basically kiss every girl in her class and my top 3 picks would be Chloe Barbash, Millie Frock, and Kaylee Morganstern.
I wonder wtf Chloe thinks tbh, this random weeb psycho in bunny ears who hangs with dorks. I'm not sure if it makes more sense she would feel scared of Louise vs not...
It's funny but I actually agree with a lot of what she's saying. She doesn't want to kiss Rudy and that's that, he's not entitled to a kiss just because he helped her cheat.
Hey cutie bear,
You look adorbs today.
P.S. what's the answer to question A on the test?
But nowhere does it say she'll promise to give him a kiss.
And shouldn't Rudy know cheating is wrong? That's not on Chloe.
Romance isn't a business contract bro, it's subtext. Rudy thinks she like-likes him because she passes him "sexy" notes.
Ngl I kinda wanna see him hook up with her. I also want to see Louise rage at that. And I want this drama now now now.
>P.S. what's the answer to question A on the test?
There's your subtext. But really Rudy really screwed up by having Louise give Chloe the flowers for him. That's a sign of low confidence and probably what cemented Chole's rejection.
Rudy is super easygoing and gullible. Malleable to any outside force. That's why people find him endearing. He would never "get" when he's being manipulated.
Honestly Rudy is also probably too ego-less to be afraid of embarassment. Maybe he just genuinely didn't think he'd see her that day, ngl...
Well even then I think Chloe was completely in the right for saying no to kissing Rudy.
It's her right not to kiss someone, but she was deliberately leading him on.
She wasn't really leading him on because again she didn't promise him anything.
She's merely using him, and his crush on her, to get what she wants.
This time the answers to the test.
Maybe it would be fun if she were to remove those tights, "because it was so hot." just to mess with Rudy.
This, of course, infuriates Louise.
Rudy ain't no horndog as he completely ignored Chloe in her super cute swimsuit.
Louise and her cuter bare feet are there.
Chloe wears some sort of mules.
bunny bros, this whole time we were in the wrong, we lost
>But it's no question that Louise will turn boy crazy just like Tina.
Those episodes seemed more like they were highlighting she has a type/is developing a sadomasochistic streak
She is a definite dom in training. I don't know if I like that or not, dominatrix is weird shit.
But it takes two to tango as
also showcases the shamelessness of Logan. The whole reason why Logan and Louise have a rivalry in the first place is that Logan doesn't treat Louise like how other people do. most adult and even other teenagers want to be seen as mature or respectable which is something Louise fully take advantage of but Logan is someone is quite willing to stoop to the level of having beef with a 9 year old. Logan doesn't give a shit how this looks to outsiders, Louise pushed his button and now he wants to press her buttons too.
And if that's the case, then how far would Logan actually go to push her button?
That's why the summer camp scenario is my favorite setting to imagine a more steamy Louigan. We can picture Louise alone at Summer camp without Gene or Tina having to deal with Logan nearly 24/7. Things like having to see him without his shirt in the summer heat while they're hiking, feeling self conscious about how she looks in her old swimsuit and if it's too tight or small on her now, coming across Him jerking off the woods.
Logan catching them during a skinny dip
taking Louise's clothes hostage.
Yeah now you're getting it.
>Louise get talked into skinny dipping with other girls
>Logan comes across them and takes their clothes
>Louise actually comes out of the water naked to get them back
>Logan kinda freaks but stands his ground keeping the clothes hostage
>now a game of chicken starts
>does Logan give them their clothes back or risk being tackled by a naked louise?
>would a naked Louise risk tackling Logan to get those clothes back or just run back to the water?
> Louise tackles Logan and after they "struggle" for a bit, she sits on his stomach.
> She notices a rather suspect bulge.
What's next, logan bugs Louise while she's in the outside showers?
>Things like having to see him without his shirt in the summer heat while they're hiking, feeling self conscious about how she looks in her old swimsuit and if it's too tight or small on her now
That sounds like some good coming of age ideas...
>coming across Him jerking off the woods.
...that especially quickly.
You never jerked off in the woods while you were at summer camp anon?
Huh, dfferent experiences I guess.
I never went to summer camp, I know I would have hated it, but I like the premise in cartoons.
Everything I know about summer camp comes from 80s teen movie and novelty songs from the 50s.
Louise would probably hate it too and there's a question of why would Bob and Linda even send her to summer camp or if they can even afford too in the first place.
My rough rationalization for that is that Tina old enough that bob actually has to start paying her in the restaurant but without Tina there's no one to really watch over Gene and Louise which means Bob and Linda have to find a way to keep them out of trouble. And the only why they can afford it a 2 for 1 deal where Louise gets the outdoorsy camp while Gene goes to the rich camp across the lake.
I was really quiet in my sleeping bag when I was at camp. The only times I've jerked off in the woods was when I went camping on my own.
The deers saw anon.
The deers see everything.
That's fair, considering I've seen them in action once back in 2014
>summer camp scenario
Megan is Missing moment.
>Louise pushed his button and now he wants to press her buttons too
Gonna need some art or a greentext of that now, anon.
You shippers are so fricking weird. Louise wanted to marry Mr Fischoader in season 1, are you expecting that to happen now? Come on
I'm not expecting it to happen, I'm just enjoying thinking about the different ways it could happen.
I'm sure there's Loader shippers out there.
98% same energy
Can someone post those vp9 webms of the side characters dancing please 🙂
I kinda feel like Bob shoulda fist fought Grover. I like what we got, but I feel like bob could've had a fair fight against that slippery nerd since he's as out of shape as he is.
On Hulu, unfortunately.
Didn't came out on my country
Wait a minute! Mort's casket elevator is gone.
I just started watching Bob's Burgers after I had seen the film, and I've gotten strangely emotionally attached to Calvin Fischoeder. I don't know what it is...
Just watched the Valentine's episode of season 6. Shit almost made me cry with Gene's song, despite me hqting Gene. If the good episodes keep coming, season 5 qnd 6 might be the best ones so far
Gene and Courtney episodes are always good.
They'll get another season. There's so much fertile ground. They could squeeze out at least one epic season by aging the kids up one year... Think Tina going to high school parties, maybe getting drunk. Louise breaking in to high school or the parties...
There's at least one final swan song they can pull out of the bag.
It was literally the first time I felt motivated to go out and see a movie in theaters in years
I stopped watching Bob's Burders several seasons ago. Maybe I'll watch the movie though. What's that with the hat?
Louise expresses self-doubt about her hat thinking it's holding her back from maturing.
There is no way the movie's modest theatrical performance will affect the show. In fact, it might help it actually. This is the most Bob's Burgers has been actively discussed in a really long time, and I'm sure now that the movie's on Hulu, it'll get people to stream the show more. This is ultimately a win.
This show is 11 years old and I am still loving it. That said, people also loved the first decade of The Simpsons, so I wonder if BB will ever start to hit a decline. I haven't watched The Simpsons in years. In fact, I haven't sat through the old AD block for years...mostly cause I moved and don't have a TV anymore...but moreso because everything else in the block sucks these days.
I would really love it if they did one episode where everyone aged in real time from the original 2011 ages. That would be really cool.
watched it AND paid for it.
maybe next time they wont pointlessly put all this money into the animation. if it had been the TV style animation it would have done just as well, and cost less.
Why do you want the movie to look worse?
so it's cheaper.
sure it was breathtaking, but it's a comedy with deliberately ugly weird worm people who are funny. I'm not here for the art, that's what anime is for.
>sure it was breathtaking, but it's a comedy with deliberately ugly weird worm people who are funny.
It's also a cartoon. The better the animation is, the more expressive the characters are, meaning the characters and their humor leave more of an impact. Stop being a degenerate.
>so it's cheaper.
Why does that matter to you? Do you have a personal financial stake in this movie? I'm not even trying to shit on you here man, I'm just genuinely baffled because this may be the first time I've ever read "this cartoon would be better if it looked objectively worse" on this board.
Could you wring your hands any harder? Frick off.
Incredible. Someone who actually would've preferred the movie look just like the show.
Buddy, this is how good the crew WISHES the show could look, but pumping out 22 episodes every year is what makes that impossible. I love the style of the show just fine, but the extra time & money spent on the movie was definitely put to good use. Shit was breathtaking. Every second of it.
Just saw it today
Only ever seen clips of the show before today
It was pretty good. Didn't make me laugh much, but I enjoyed it.
Sunny Side Up Summer and Lucky Ducks were fricking bops. Does the show normally do songs or was that just a movie thing?
Linda's hairy muff.
I love this woman.
Lindabro is that you?
You know it. I'm always around.
listening to the movie commentary now. so far they said the darker asphalt from the patched hole will stay visible in the show.
the voice actors leave 46 minutes in so hopefully the rest isn't a snoozefest.
How the frick did it work with this movie originally supposed to be coming out in 2020? Like, Louise had the loft bed here in the movie, but if it came out when originally planned, she wouldn't have. Like how much of the movie was redone in the two year delay? I sometimes wonder if they just changed the copyright at the end of the end credits from 2020 to 2022.
wow so daring.
How does one contact the Bob's Burgers people if you have a comment or idea? No, I do not have Twitter.
I saw one of the writers/singers for the original music in the show on Youtube fairly recently, I’m sure if you look up certain people you can find them online
I don't youtube either.
Like, is there some email address people check, a snail mail address for the studio?
Why wont they give us an episode where jimmy and bob genuinely bond a bit. I liked the one part of the episode where linda and bob have fun with jimmy in his apartment, but that hasn't been expanded on at all. Also I kinda feel like it would've been better if pesto didn't smile at the front of bobs restaurant being destroyed, just seems kind of shallow of him, when they've had a good time in the past.
>Why wont they give us an episode where jimmy and bob genuinely bond a bit
They did and also can we please shut the frick up about Jimmy Pesto? Jay Johnston fricked up and people need to stop riding his dick just for being gulliable .
>They did
what episode
"Yachty or nice" where Jimmy got Bob a catering gig at the yacht club and Bob helped get Jimmy into the yacht club.
>Jay Johnston fricked up
No, the showrunners fricked up by firing him.
No anon, Jay Johnston fricked up by swallowing some Grade A that duped him into thinking the spirit of '76 was in him.
Nice un-American attitude.
Firing someone at the slightest inconvenience is actually the most american thing you can do. Jay Johnston just became an albatross for bob's burgers and quite frankly his loss is no big deal.
Like I said Jimmy Pesto is an overrated charactee who became a self-parody when he started saying "ZOOM!".
>Jay Johnston just became an albatross for bob's burgers
Barely anybody cared that he attended a protest.
The only reason why you're a jimmy pesto stan is because Jay Johnston was at the riots.
The people that liked Jimmy Pesto's character vastly outweighed the people the clutched their pearls over the VA going to a protest.
People who like Jimmy Pesto because Jay Johnston is a rube only show up here to whine about how unfair it is that Jay's actions have consequences.
Jimmy Pesto stopped contributing anything meaningul by season 6.
Same goes for every other Pesto too by the way, just get rid of them.
While we're at it, let's get rid of Bob's Burgers in its entirity for associating with an irredeemable monster like Jay Johnson for so long. He may have only taken part in the massacre in 2017, but the blood of a racist, xenophobic, homophobic killer was inside of him all along and everyone that every worked with him knew about it and tolerated it.
The show stopped being good after season 6 anyway.
>Same goes for every other Pesto too by the way, just get rid of them.
If Loren isn't lying about the show going to the next level after the movie, then maybe Tina and Jimmy Jr will actually be in a relationship from now on and it won't just go back to the status quo. Although that in itself might bring more mostly uninteresting relationship homosexualry. Gimme Zeke, he's fun.
Careful what you wish for because you might just get a love triangle plot.
Do not even joke about that.
Who's joking? Like Loren said, that's some real next level shit right there.
it's not a joke anymore anon
if that happened it would be a missed opportunity to ignore his dad. he would at least have to be recast
>Like I said Jimmy Pesto is an overrated charactee who became a self-parody when he started saying "ZOOM!".
That's just because the writers gave up on him. There was a lot more they could've done.
Jimmy doesn't know how to treat friends. He treats Trev like shit, and he actually LIKES Trev. He would absolutely gloat over his business rival getting shut down
no more theaters for me, sweetie
not getting sat in a room with 20+ other plague rats with covid super secret delta tao kai variant running loose
Lucky ducks has been stuck in my head since I went to go see it and I am so close to learning the choreography for fun
DnD episode fricking when??!
The game of thrones episode is the best we are going to get I feel.
They literally had the DnD board game in an ep as a main plot, to be fair.
They always have dead eyes. Just...make the pupils a little bigger!
ill wait for it to air on [as]
Anon... the network is losing the rights to bobs in 2023. If you've noticed yet, they haven'taired anything past season 8 for a reason.
I thought they would have showed something new by now. Guess a few seasons are new to me.
But they also canned nearly every [as] original they had, what the hell will they even have left at that point?
Watching the animatic and I thought it was kind of funny that someone actually had to do Grover's little dance for animation reference.
and the dance in the credits too, very fun
Why did they swap out the gun for the crossbow?
It's look too rough to discern.
He seems like the kind of guy who'd use a crossbow. That or maybe it would've fricked with the rating, I dunno.
I did legitimately think in cinema "why did they choose to use a crossbow over a gun?" and figured, actually, it's way more comical and on-brand for Grove. It being obviously one-round counts for something too, couldn't just kill everyone at once.
That rough animation looks fantastic. I love Bernard Derriman.
>Bernard Derriman.
Ayo, I remember that name! He had those old shorts with the farting cat!
He also animated this classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENnAa7rqtBM
i swear animatics are always so much more soulful than the finished product
It be like that sometimes. Loren himself said he almost prefers the rough drawings over the cleaned-up lines, and I have to agree. You really feel that human touch whenever there's some scratchiness to the art on display. That's probably why the movie looked so much cooler. Every shot and character movement FEELS less robotic and more real. You can tell the animators had a blast with this movie.
>You can tell the animators had a blast with this movie.
Well, I'm so glad the animators had fun! Too bad the writers and the audiences didn't.
What makes you think the writers didn't like the movie?
This movie could have just been a three part special it didn't really have anything satisfying going for it near the end
I'm not giving my money to d*sney
Bobs had a good run
Downloading soon, no need to give Hollywood guys my money.
I don't even think I've watch most of the episodes since S9.
I did and I liked it
I watched it both in the theaters and on streaming and I think streaming was better because I could pause and rewind to better enjoy the animation.
I wasn't able to see it in theaters, but I watched it on streaming. It made me want to watch the show again, I've actually only seen the first few seasons.
I liked season 10.
Boring show. I wonder why isnt cancelled
I bought a ticket but I forgot to go
That still count towards ticket sales.
Looking at the episode titles for season 13 and maybe we're are gonna see some fallout from the movie? The premiere episode is called to bob or not to bob which sounds existential. Maybe Bob starts questioning if he should just sell the restuarant?
And the finale is simply called Amelia with absolutely no pun so you know it's gonna be a serious episode.
>These Boots Are Made For Stalking
Hope it's at least a Tina's feet episode.
More like those boobs are for stalking...
Yes
Damn that's some real nice curvature, makes them look big for ger frame.
I feel like Tina has a kink of some guy going down on her while she's reclined on a couch.
>oh row you didn't
>radio no you didn't
Well that's the same pun though now isn't it?
>UFO No You Didn't
>FOMO You Didn't
Yep. You start using the same spoofy titles after you've been airing long enough. Happened with The Simpsons countless times already. I've never seen the same pun in one season, though.
I think Radio no you didn't is the weaker of the two, just sounds clunky to me.
double o no they didn't!
Now that's a good one for the spy spoof episode.
>dead mom episode might finally be happening
Please try not to form expectations with this show. You're only setting yourself up for disappointment. "Amelia" could be the most mundane, forgettable season finale for all we know.
No I think it's gotta be about Bob's mom right? Like they didn't even go for a-meal-ia even though it's right there.
i thought you grew out of your tiredbobposting ways, tiredbobposter
Oh, don't get me wrong. This is the happiest I've been with the show in a long time. The solace of finally getting the movie I'd been waiting for and having it exceed my expectations while also giving others a greater appreciation for Bob's Burgers has been amazing to experience. But fandom activity has definitely been winding down lately while we wait for new episodes, and the buzz around the movie when it first premiered was already relatively low enough.
I'm def excited to see what Season 13 is like considering it follows after such a major piece of the show's history, but I try to keep my expectations grounded lest I hype up what could ultimately be something lackluster. I still love the show, but it's still generally inconsistent entertainment-wise these days. Really hope the crew approached these new episodes with a newfound fire in their spirit after making that movie a reality. That's GOTTA boost morale and get people's creative juices flowing again.
I think so. Keep in mind that Season 12 might've been weaker due to divided attention/resources so all gears should be turning for Season 13. I also thought I heard somewhere that there would be continuity changes through Season 13 though that could be as minor as a cosmetic change on the sidewalk. I don't expect it to blow me away but the show still has a little bit of life in it.
It's a lot to extrapolate from a title but when was the last time Bob's Burgers had a non-punny episode title? Especially something as personal as a name? Torpedo? Not to mention Bob's Burgers is one of the few shows that cares enough about season finales to sprinkle in a little bit of emotional/serious stuff into most of them. I don't think it'll be an episode about how Gene passes a kidney stone and names it Amelia.
I was gonna, but then Top Gun 2 came out and I watched that instead.
expand bob
I need more Jocelyn in this season.
I loved their dance, so cute.
I loved how everyone got a dance at the end, reminded me of the end credits for An Extremely Goofy Movie. Are there webms for them all?
Nice thanks, hope to see more.
If you drew that, its very on model.
No that's VS.
>BAD STUFF HAPPENS IN THE BATHROOM
<I'M JUST GLAD THAT IT HAPPENS IN A VACUUM
i made that but accidentally morphed the aspect so they are wider lol
Anon there must be a better way to get them thiccer.
I watched it on Hulu. It was pretty good for a long episode, but I'm glad I didn't buy a ticket to see it.
>but I'm glad I didn't buy a ticket to see it.
Yeah, I don't feel bad about it at all. I love Bob's Burgers but I'm not going to pay ticket prices to see three episodes back to back. They needed to do something special to put butts in seats and they really didn't care to do that, so why should I care to see it?
Tween Louise will be jealous of Tina's huge boobs.
>Tween Louise will be jealous of Tina's huge boobs.
Yeah but not because she's flat.
I feel like Louise would get a kick out of most of it but periods would probably piss her off.
Early Season Louisr would absolutely love getting curves when she realizes she can use them to manipulate people. Early Season Louise was all about using her cute little girl looks to get people let their guard down so she can really shock them by saying some fricked up shit.
She was a little minx all right.
She still would. She'd be sickened at first, then realize she can use them for personal gain, then probably go too far with the bawd factor and find a scheme to restore status quo. If they ever made such an episode, that's what's goin' down.
Have they actually aged?
I miss Logan in not even a shipping context, he was just a fun character.
I guess I should watch S9 through 12 before the movie.
Yes, I pirated it because they didn't show it in cinema here and even watched it on Disney+ so that The Mouse's robots knew I liked it.
I saw it, Bobby.
Thanks Lin. You can stop singing the song now.
No, I will continue to sing, I saw it in theaters to support 2D movies.
Didn't they promise us we'll get to see Ken in the movie? Where was he?
There's a few things they said they wanted to out into the movie that got cut out. Bob and Linda's wedding and the early days of the restaurant, Bob's relationship with his mom and what happened to her, Ken...
I see that there's almost nine minutes of deleted scenes, could be anything.
No one ever promised we'd SEE Ken in the movie. You've got "Art Crawl" for that anyway.
just finished watching it
gotta agree with alot of people, that it really did felt like a longer episode.
the songs were nice, but it did feel like they were just there to pad things out
overall it was pretty decent
>that it really did felt like a longer episode.
You guys gotta tell me what you expect from a TV show movie that isn't "a long episode" because everyone keeps saying this and I don't really understand
See
Basically I was expecting the movie to be more in-depth and expansive, for it to go for the bigger picture. I was hoping for more focus on Bob's relationship with his mom ans how that might play into his dream of his burger restuarant, I was hoping for more characters enaging with the plot of the movie, for Tina to finally get over Jimmy, Jr.
You're just sour grapes that the movie didn't feature your ideas
You too. The movie was fine, I enjoyed it. It doesn't have to be in an exotic locale. I'm not one for singing in cartoons but I make an exception for BB I find them catchy.
>You're just sour grapes that the movie didn't feature your ideas
Well to be fair I did have some good ideas.
>bolder
>bigger
>and a lot more songs
>and a lot more songs
God damn I gotta agree with this one. There was no point in advertising this as a musical, it basically had just as many songs as 5 episodes (the movie's length) would have.
I expect a TV show movie to be the finale of that TV show. All conflicts resolved, all antagonists vanquished, all characters developed, all goals achieved.
Nobody would ever want a movie then, if they were loving a series.
Fact is, a season gives much, much, much more time and breathing room to wrap up every story. As each thing can be resolved in its own storyline, rather than a scattergun approach of trying to bring tonnes of story plotpoints together at once in a couple of hours.
>Nobody would ever want a movie then, if they were loving a series.
Everything needs to end.
Nothing ever truly ends, and I hate that so many people are okay with that. There is beauty in seeing a good show end properly, but fans will always pine for more regardless. I can't even begin to imagine how many times Alex Hirsch has been poked and prodded by fans who want him to revisit Gravity Falls.
I love Bob's Burgers immensely, but it NEEDS to close its doors before it hits 20 seasons.
Well, to SOME extent as long as nothing major happens to status quo that retcons a previously perfect ending... Then who cares?
I do like a well ended show, definitely. Gravity Falls did this... Although the memories should've stayed gone (he can form new ones fresh so uh... come the frick on guys, NO reason to have him regain them, just have him bond w everyone as a fresh start).
But there also should be enough episodes IMO where if you're a superfan, you can still spend years rewatching semi regularly. Gravity Falls is over within a couple days. It's not really enough if I was a huge fanboy.
I'm a huge Bob's fanboy. I want to be left with enough content to last me for years to come. And I want various unresolved plots wrapped up in a manner which isn't rushed.
Louise, Chloe, and Rudy have a hugely unfinished story arc. Chloe really only just became a serious character.
Tina and J Ju needs to be wrapped up. I think: Gay J Ju, maybe he could be incredulous like "you mean you never notithed?" Nobody really cares about J Ju so it would be fine I think, if he was just always a queer.
Gene, who cares. He is literally just there to spit one liners.
Bob needs to discuss his mom.
Linda is basically perfect as she is. Her personality is who she is. I don't feel like she has any inner turmoil or unresolved issues.
And so we must soldier on with Bob's.
Here's how Bob's Burgers should end:
It is some years into the future. Louise is married to Rudy. They have a little girl who's still a toddler and Louise has given her her old pink ears.
Tina works as a freelance writer or journalist. She's ambiguously single or with Zeke. He can appear with her in a scene without it ever saying they are a couple. Just that they are still in touch years later would give people the ammo they need to choose their own destiny.
Gene is working as a radio producer, and gets an offer from Boyz 4 Now (now with a new name to reflect their age, or humorously obvious plastic surgery) through his agent to become their manager. Something like that. Boo Boo walks into the house with Gene and Louise faints.
At the very end before the finale credits roll, Bob now grey hands the restaurant keys to Louise. And it ends with the intro jingle but with "re re re re re opening" as "Louise's Burgers" with Rudy and Louise standing where Bob and Linda did. Black screen.
Le fin...
>Linda is basically perfect as she is.
so true
>I don't feel like she has any inner turmoil or unresolved issues.
Wrong. Linda won't rest easy until the day she no longer has to stress over Gayle's every move. Linda's arc is to either find a man for her sister or to help Gayle get a stable career. No idea if those yurt workshops are still going, but it was cute to see Gayle be of use to SOMEONE.
Linda's entire arc is fixing her fail sister? That's kinda low haha... I think her arc finished before the series began, which is refusing Hugo to marry Bob, and mothering 3 kids. That's how another series could potentially have ended, it's very period drama.
Gayle as a character is, I think, better remaining a crazy cat lady til her dying day. Being alone is just SO "Gayle", not being alone would destroy her. Same I think with Tina having a HUSBAND, so it's probably better to just ambiguously show the possibility.
Here's more unexplored territory: When Jimmy Jr. comes out as a homo, there's an unexpected rivalry between Tina and Jimmy Jr. because they both want Zeke... Jimmy Jr. might wrestle Zeke and give Tina an evil smirk while they wrestle with his face right by Zeke's balls to rub it in her face. Many such antics.
Gayle and Frond had untapped Comedic potential and I want them back together yesterday
It was a dick move to get those two dorks together only to cut off the relationship in a matter of episodes. The fallout itself was funny, but Gayle and Frond's dynamic could've at least been explored a bit more before ending it.
There should be an episode where Teddy gets a burger named after him.
Bob might as well
since Teddy practically the only one who is keeping the place afloat
>the handyman burger
And wouldn't it be great if that's the burger that put bob's burger on the map?
>The Handyman Burger
I could see it being a take on the Ploughman's Lunch
thick cut bacon, Cheddar, onion jam, french fries, and a few slices of cold cuts on a kaiser roll
>We'll never get to see Louise actually make this burger
Lame
Kind of a dick move to fire Jimmy Pesto's voice actor
damn, i remember polyle live stream drawing these, must have been season 3 or 4 ~8 years ago ;_;
Same. I miss the old days too.
How many "Bob versus Everyone" episodes are there in the later seasons? Stuff like Art Crawl and Lobsterfest.
You can tell 14-bis is an oldgay because his coloring techniques are stuck in the 2000s.
I liked the movie allot and am sad it made 4million less than it cost. BB is the only wholesome SOL western series anymore.
BB got a movie within the first 10-12 years it was on the air. I still consider it a good show that hasn't jumped the shark.
How come it took The Simpsons all the way to 2007 to have a movie, long after people thought it was shit? Simpsons movie should have been a late 90s or early 2000s affair.
>How come it took The Simpsons all the way to 2007 to have a movie, long after people thought it was shit?
The writers had been trying to come up with a story for a feature film as early as Season 4 from what I recall, but they just couldn't crack it for some reason. "Kamp Krusty" was actually one scrapped premise for the movie. It's possible that executive meddling and the pressure of making a fricking SIMPSONS MOVIE made it harder to figure out a movie-worthy story and to stick with it, which is why I'm not surprised that so many writers were credited in the final product. We could've had a more charming, nostalgic Simpsons movie from the '90s, but the Frankenstein'd effort that took nearly 20 years to put together still turned out really well in my opinion. Probably the best a Simpsons movie could be in the end.
Thank you for this informative reply. I guess The Simpsons doesn't have the strength left for a second movie, huh?
I don't get why anyone's still waiting for a sequel. What could a second Simpsons movie even do at this point? The one we got was a very sweet Homer-centric story while still giving the rest of the Simpsons special little arcs of their own. It was a wild road trip adventure, and the conflict still remained focused on Springfield, with plenty of cameos from fan-favorite side characters to enjoy. A sequel would just be excessive, and I doubt it'd feel as novel or even as exciting nowadays. Are people seriously amped to get more unnecessary SpongeBob movies that are guaranteed to pale in comparison to the OG 2004 one?
One film is enough. Just stick to experimenting with the occasional two-parter or hour-long special every couple years or so.
The Simpsons was always shit.
I don't know why, because it's funny, the jokes were great. The writing was top notch with many quoteable moments... Got to be the overall aesthetic choices and voices. Can't stand it really. Weird innit.
Extremely rare Chloe Barbash feet.
What are your guy's thoughts on Chloe Barbash? Is she a good foil to Louise or just a generic mean girl? Or is being a generic mean girl what makes her a good foil to Louise? Do you think she's gonna become more of a regular antagonist in the show mpving forward? How cute do you think she is?
Chloe Barbash is the goldilocks of Louise's bullies.
Logan went away because people didn't like seeing an older boy pick on a young girl.
Millie was too crazy and had to be tone down so not to kidnap and murder Louise.
But Chloe is relatively harmless while also at the same time being the most effective as everything she does gets underneath Louise's skin.
It's okay if you haven't seen the movie yet, anon. I got your tickets right heeeeere.
I wouldn't mind biting into THAT burger.
Thought it was bad
>101 songs
>Good jokes were rare and usually offset with another crappy song
>Plot was okay? But felt like a episode and not a movie
>Very weak plot device in order to make already dire finances a bit more dire
In most movies the main cast atleast goes somewhere for some reason relatively far away from their main area. But in this movie its the same exact locations as seen in the show. It has all the same faults the show does too. It used to be once every few episodes we got a gay song and it was a bit less gay.
I hate musicals. But which of the 3 or 4 musical numbers in over an hour was a bridge too far?
You ever notice Louise like puzzles? Or at least has an afinity for them?
No
do i watch on hulu or hbo max
Yes.
Give me even one S13 episode with Linda in a dress and I'll keep my mouth shut during Gene's many shitty lines the rest of the season. That's all I ask.
Linda?
Did you see Tina in that episode?
She was actually attractive!
Linda looks damn good in heels.
Wait, so Grover never got new cuff links in six years?
He got them as a gift, so presumably, he doesn't shop for them often.
A gift for himself
M-MORE
This is sexual harrassment and Logan does have to take it.
I saw that there was singing and remembered that insanely terrible central park show. I don't trust these people with such a thing.
Anyone else disappointed that the Carnies didn't factor in in a bigger way? I sort of expected them to play a part in saving the day given how they kept coming up and they gave them a whole fricking song.
I get what you mean, but I think the carnies served their purpose well enough. The big scary one led the kids to Poseidon's Seacret, and the rest of the carnies working the boardwalk indirectly led the parents to the same location, specifically because they were mourning the loss of Cotton Candy Dan and were defending his shrine. Sure, the carnies were pretty much abandoned from that point onward, but I'm cool with that since it finally brought the family together and gave them all the high stakes and rich emotional moments that tied the film together.
Nope. How was it?
Comfy and adorable.
Nice, I may give it a watch. I haven't had cable in a few years so I've only been able to watch what I find online. How is [as] these days?
>How is [as] these days?
It exists
No.
Every Bob's thread goes to bump limit since the movie. Thanks in part to everybody's favorite sex-bunny I'm sure.
I watched it and it was alright.
The show had become too repetitive to me and the character's annoying traits seem to have been ramped up. So now Tina only talks about butts, Gene/Linda just act like morons, and Louise does something bad and then later regrets it. Bob is the only one that isn't bad.
Louise didn't do a bad thing in the movie. I feel like the Bob's Burgers staff are likely to be internet basement dwellers, so probably actively peruse people's comments about the show on a daily basis.
If Reddit points out enough that something is good, they do more, and vice versa. That's why there even are so many Louise episodes like that or bonding with Bob lately.
Yeah, to be fair Gene was mostly kept in the background in the movie so he didn't become overbearing. And Louise's arc was pretty good as well since they didn't use their usual storyline with her.
It should have been a Golan the Insatiable movie.
NAY
Well that's an odd one. Tangentially related but sometimes the Belcher kids make a reference to a movie or tv show and I think to myself there's no possible way they know what they're referencing but then I remember bob once bought an entire box set to some niche western so maybe??
Bob beimg a cinephile and passing that down to his kids is cute.
>Him and Louise watch cult movies together
>Gene makes references to shows years before his time
>Tina has this rich fantasy life from all the movies too
One of my favorite running gags is the kids refercing a movie they can't possibly know, then revealing they have no idea what the actual movie was.
>I'm a Dragon with a Girl Tattoo.
>I love it! Ya flipped the script!
>...What do you mean?
>Gene, you've seen Caligula?
>YOU'VE seen Caligula? Wait, what's Caligula?
I chucked when Gene happily admitted to watching they live! last season.
I just really love the fact that the movie finally came out after all this time and was pretty great. The best the show had been in years and the kids weren't as annoying as they have been in the past two seasons. Teddy was also at his very best in years. It had no Gayle in it. And it was just so wholesome and fun. The only complaint is I still wish it had the edgier charm that the first 4 seasons had but whatever. The Sunny Side of Summer still is fresh in my head and prob will be until season 13 premieres. I'm not expecting any big changes or for the new season to be worlds better than 12 but I can still have hope.
This. The movie turned out to be worth the wait, and it brought a lot of life back into the fandom. Now we wait for new episodes and hope they feel stronger than ever.
Imagine a long running series getting BETTER after a movie. If any series can do it, the Bob's cast can.
Does Gayle have a job?
Not one she manages to keep.
Who needs a job when you can leech off your sister?
OnlyFans
>all those cats
you just KNOW
Don't EVER question my loyalty!
GUESS WE'RE GONNA GO FOR IT
FEELS KIND OF SCARY, I'LL ADMIT

Lovely lovely song. They should all be proud.

Just a Louise to close out the thread.
