Cons suck now. The panels are half assed and cosplay isn't really about expression anymore, it's about trend chasing and showing you know what the current anime FOTM is. The dealers rooms are all juiced to frick. Celebrities and voice actors sell their signatures for the price of a new video game and there's barely any crossover between fanbases, it's just people forced to share the same space.
Artist alleys are pretty much the only reason I can justify going now.
Is there a story behind him specifically? I assume that most people who go to porn-related fan events are just the normal kind of weird and awkward you find in niche, socially unacceptable fandoms.
That’s his nephew my guy.
The real question is does his family know about his twitter?
I would never let a deranged coomer, relative or not near my young kids.
Maybe he buys them super expensive gifts.
AV conventions should be banned. Nothing but perverts indulging in exhibition. Only good cosplay is male cosplayers, women just use it as an excuse to dress loose and promote their OF. prostitutes don't appreciate art.
I started going to conventions eith a sole purpose of finding gf. I lucked out on the 2nd con I went to, and we've been together 10 years now. Each year we love each other more and more.
There was a really cute girl dressed as Deadpool who was handing out flyers at Kapow 2011 (the only con I've ever been to). I still think about her whenever I see anything Deadpool related. Wish I'd gone up and spoken to her but what would I have said? >n-nice o-outfit
Maybe it's best left as a fantasy.
Ask for a picture, open a line about liking the comics and if she's only into the cosplay then ask her some honest question about the costume. Usually the rest of the conversation will flow from that.
Why would anyone want prostitutes? I haven't been to one
I don't go to comic conventions at all because I am a depressed shutin.

Everything Josh Moon says about everyone is true.
Am I the only one who feels sort of bad for that bald coomer guy? Like he's a creepy weirdo but he's obviously not all there mentally

He got a child, so he's more happy that he seems

I would go there to see fat neck beards in costumes

No.
I go there to frick women dressed as Supervillains.

If he still thinks of a minor frick up made more than a decade ago there's no point giving him advice.
Wrong, anyone can change.
