I love it when the two girls starting fighting each other for the guy and then they have a threesome.
Is there a single example of this in any cartoon ever?
i'm sure in these people's sick minds, it happens all the time. Considering the couples in cartoons they think are lesbians are obviously friends.
take your pills and touch grass
Reddit meme
Cartoon? Probably not.
Real life? All the time. Lesbians ditch each other for dick constantly.
that's why they cope by putting nearly every bi woman in a lesbian relationship
Ever shonen protag ever.
Name literally one.
Because it sure as frick isn't Goku. Or Shinji. Or Tenchi. It's not even Naruto, and he's by far the closest to this and he's still not really all that close. It's not Sword Art. It's not bleach. It's not Soul Eater. It's not JoJo.
Do you have shipper brain where any time two same-sex characters have any interaction, no matter how trivial, you see smoldering barely controlled lust? Do you think heterosexual relationships are old fashioned and should be abolished? Are friendships all fake?
Tangled
???
wasn't the girl in tangled kidnapped and the only person that she interact with, is her captor, her "mother".
I think he means the TV show, and yes there was a TV show
No, not Tangled.
She doesn't know cass afaik and she's already with Eugene when they meet.
Steven Universe?
Which character in Steven universe ditches her "soulmate" to get with a guy she just met? Steven's mom? Because that's the absolute closest, it's still not what happened, and that show was intentionally gay as hell.
this scenario happening is a good 70% of Pearl's backstory in SU
Does diamond call pearl her soulmate or express that they are deeply linked in terms that imply greater than friendship, or is Pearl just fricking Severus Snapeing on her crush?
Again, even if this is an actual example, which I still don't think it is, this is from the actual woke show about queers by queers
Ok. I'll accept that as maybe true because I have no interest in finding out.
So that's one. That's probably newer than op's comic.
Which is probably actually complaining about Tangled Adventure, which it doesn't describe accurately at all.
If you accept Anime as an answer then Gundam Witch from Mercury. Having a higher-up exec, not even someone from the team that worked on the show, deny the pretty heavy implications from the ending and subsequently saying that both girls found husbands was a pretty big frick you to the /u/Black folk that a company could pull. That guy managed to cause the single largest shitfit on this site, Cinemaphile, /m/ and /u/ were unusable for three straight days due to all the seethe and shitposting.
>That guy managed to cause the single largest shitfit on this site
Not even the biggest shitfit on Cinemaphile, everyone on /m/ already wrote off WfM as shit, and /u/ is just a porn board for troons
What is this fanfiction? The exec said it was "open to interpretation", not that the characters married dudes. It was dumb, and obviously a cowardly way to try and avoid committing to the gay marriage, but anyone with a brain could see the ending for what it was. Of course, shitposters will latch on to anything
Happens more in anime than Cinemaphile
Happens more often 2 dudes seeming gay then picking up a random chick
Besides Steven Universe (where it could be argued Rose/Pink Diamond never was romantically in love with Pearl), no not really
I see that point but their relationship always felt somewhat more unrequited. SU definitely did this with Lars and Sadie though, where seasons worth of building their relationship were tossed aside in SUF for a character that no one ever met.
It'd be more realistic to current year if the henders were swapped
I can't think of an example that this comic might be referring to specifically, because either the girl and guy get to know each other and delve into each other's personalities over the course of the movie/series or if it is a romantic work, then the "soulmate" person is usually missing and is just a good friend.
two people can be friends and love each but not be romantically in love. Why people don't get this
>Why people don't get this
They never had friends.
In this specific context, it's because in a TV show, everything has to build up to something bigger. So when you have two characters in a (presumably) romance story with a lot of chemistry, naturally, you just assume they're going to end up together. This isn't because in the real-world it's impossible to have close friends, but in the fictional world, why WOULDN'T these two characters get together?
Take Ron and Kim for example. Audiences spent four seasons watching them have failed relationships but continue to be extremely close best friends. They're both attracted to the opposite sex. From a story point of view, what reason do they have to NOT get together? "Kim thinks Ron is ugly" is a valid reason, but it also makes your lead character look superficial and unlikable. Writers tend to want their protagonists to be likeable.
Difference is Kim and Ron are straight and the opposite sex
If the answer to the fictional characters in the OP comic is that, "They're not in love because they're not gay", that's also an answer. But if you're writing a love story, you would want the two characters falling in love to have the best chemistry. I mean, it's a fake story and these are fake characters, you could just hit backspace and make them gay.
Again, I'm speaking mostly for romance or stories that use romance as a major building block of the story-- such as superhero or slice-of-life stuff which (almost) need romance as a drive. I mean, there's a reason why people ship Elsa and Anna together and completely ignore Kristoff. It's not cause they're sisters-- they would ship those two even if they weren't related. It's because it's a love story and people hone in on the two characters with the best chemistry. There's a reason why people got pissed when Hermione ended up with Ron, or when Korra DIDN'T end up with Mako.
You don't need a reason for a character not be in love with another character.
Some people just don't click together.
NTA but he was talking about it in a narrative and audience expectation sense. Reality doesn't follow literary conventions and is often disappointing.
>you guys don't dick all of your friends
sounds gay
You know what's really bullshit?
When a schizo autist gets obsessed with something then starts making thread after thread every goddamn day

This is genuinely just yuri shippers getting mad that their headcanon didn't come true, and acting like that's a moral issue
kind of fits Ahsoka if you stretch the scenario but she ended up with neither Barriss or that boy
Not even limited to yuri, voltron had everyone wanting keith and lance to frick eachother, but lance wanted the brown elf.
What countries allow for male intimacy without it being romantic? Women friends in America can hug, hold hands, lean on each others shoulders, sleep in the same bed, or even share a blanket and nobody bats an eye. You don't see that same relationship with male friends.
Obviously I don't mean "allow" as in legally, but social stigmas and whatever.
Yeah, the guy has to be flamboyant gay to be allowed to do that.
In some Middle Eastern and South American countries it's common for male friends to hold hands and greet each other with a kiss but that's the extent of it. Your best option is to get a time machine and go back to a period where male camaraderie was more common and socially acceptable.
Literally me, I always hold hands with my friends when going to البقالة
India.
Most homophobic countries allow for close friendship between males. With the rise of the LGBT movement in U.S. this behavior would make you look gay.
Every country did this before victorian england. Toxic masculinity is a laughably narrow concept applied to the entire history of humanity.
Funnily enough it's countries that do have laws against homosexuality where this is socially acceptable.
My theory is that it's not correlated to homophobic directly but to heteronormativity.
When the only possible type of sexual interest is towards the other sex, it's only necessary interactions with the other sex to signal a LACK of interest.
Think of it this way. Everything you just described regarding skinship and intimacy would just be flirting if it were between a man and a woman right? You cannot do that and still be considered platonic.
Women must set boundaries with men, to signal that they aren't interested in them romantically.
In sexually open societies, men must also set those boundaries with other men.
In extremely heteronormative societies, the idea that male intimacy could signify lust is so far from the imagination that no signal is necessary.
The fact that women can do it is just a testament to how passive our view of female sexuality is.
>people can't be close friends, the comic
No, normies only want lesbians in porn and strictly in porn, normies WANT straight couples and ONLY straight couples.
Also fixed.
having two "with"s in the third panel is redundant
Correct, but it's not the edit's fault.
Bayonetta 3
Doesn't apply since Luka was present from the first-game and was actually Bayo's stalker for years prior to it.
Lol I keep forgetting that happened in Bayo 3. I love that people are still mad about it.
It absolutely counts because fujos did everything within their power to ignore his very existence. They knew in their hearts that this would be the endgame.
Yeah
Remember the Owl house writer who got constantly cheated on by her "bisexual" gf?
lesbian wienercorrection is best shit, especially if she is very hesitant at first and then gives in slowly
didn't this exact thing happen in legend of korra by making her as lesbo last minute
>reality is opposite from a political comic
many such cases
And it was everything.

No

THE GAYS AND THE STRAIGHTS
AND THE WHITES AND THE SPADES
I'm still mad.
>A close friend you confide in, and love platonically? NOOO YOU NEED TO CHOOSE THEM AS A MATE, YOU CAN'T JUST LOVE SOMEONE BUT NOT HAVE SEXUAL FEELINGS FOR THEM??!!!??
>Ugh society its society's fault people aren't making friends anymore, it couldn't be our view that anyone who even remotely likes a person of the same or opposite sex is romantically interested, if they aren't blood relatives.
Swap the genders and it would be 100% accurate.
do you ever feel like leftists pushing this agenda of "close platonic love" is actually romantic is gonna damage friendships in the future especially for men? I didn't really think about this until the New Spider-man game and seeing how Harry and Peter interact, it was a great healthy way to show thier friendship, but everyone online all of sudden thought it meant they were gay (yes I know Yuri said "they totally had a thing" but it felt pandering and markety as frick and besides when the guy that played Falcon in the MCU got asked the same thing with Falcon and Bucky he said no and got shit for it).
it feels like people are gonna be afraid to be open and personal with thier own friends if it's gonna come off as "romantic interest" and it'll have the effect of emotionally closing off people
Deep down the porn addict craves nonsexual intimacy.
If anyone wants this comic without the shitty punchline for some reason
Based
I may now buy your product
How am I supposed to laugh at this if there’s no dragon ball?
I love this comic.
Not because it is funny or thoughtful, but because it givesa direct insight within the mind of the aversge woke cultist.
To them, everything is about sex. Friendships are inherently sexual to them.
You can't just be good friends with someone, no, you must want to frick them.
>this makes yurischizos cope and sneed
"Noooo, people can't be best friends, with no romantic feelings whatsoever!"
Forget friends. There were more than enough freaks who insisted Anna and Elsa were lesbians because they were two women who loved each other. The fact they were sisters meant nothing to these people.
I assume everyone with this mindset will go on to molest their children if they (heaven forbid) have any. They’ve so entangled sexual attraction with any kind of affection that they won’t see any other way to love their offspring.
The college lesbian experience! Don't worry, a few panels later the brown one gets a BF too.
why can't zoomers difference a good friendship from romance?
Because they're all socially-stunted porn addicts
>with whom I have no meaningful connection
with
That second with is redundant and it's generally bad form to end a sentence on a preposition.
"With whom I have no meaningful connection" would be the correct phrasing, and "that I have no meaningful connection with" would be an acceptable if technically wrong phrasing.
I don't give a shit about whatever media or idea this person is referencing I just hate poor writing.
>bi
>in relationship with best friend
>he's a dude
>perfect for me personality-wise, close enough that we're completing each other's sentences, completely in love
>talking about moving in with each other and adopting/getting a surrogate
>start realizing I'm not that into dudes and want to date a chick
Hypothetically speaking, how do I possibly end something like that without destroying my best bro's heart? I still want to play games with him and shit.
>close enough that we're completing each other's sentences
That happens with friends, though.
Shut up moron its 2011+12 dudes can only be gay or straight. Not 'friends'
Exactly, I'm just saying that as an example of closeness and how long we've been together. We're also fricking and saying "I love you," that's the difference.
>Why can't things be GAAAAAAAAAAAY
Way to summarize the 2020's accurately
This, they don't like this because it means a character they made gay in their heads was not gay in reality.
It's why they cry and complain whenever this happens.
I need to see gay people constantly or I'll turn straight which is genocide.
