It’s insanely bad and a very strange writing choice. I personally don’t think the writers intended it for to be sex, only a joke with subtext to make Miles jealous, but even with the most platonic possible interpretation, Gwen STILL didn’t bother visiting Miles, and willingly chose not to, in favor of another guy. For a ship that’s supposed to be built up and be endgame, that is a massive writing hurdle to overcome. From a writing perspective it can (and probably will) derail that entire storyline. So much more time that could be spent on building their relationship is lost for dumb drama

Half her suit is solid black and then another quarter is solid white. The only place you can really argue there’s excessive detail is in the webbing, but it’s kind of obligatory, and given how basic the rest is, I think it balances it out.
The shoes are a weird thing to have as clealry separate. But wouldn't say such detail makes it overdesigned.
