It told a 90 minute story in 90 minutes instead of dragging it across multiple seasons. That's a win for me.
It didn't tell any story. It removed everything. EVERYTHING. And what was left was not a story. literally. They skipped everything about adrien, they skipped giving a reason why marinette stopped being a whiny unconfident b***h, etc.
What is there about Adrien they didn't cover in the movie? I guarantee, if you look at it correctly, they did cover it.

He's not a model, he isn't forced to obey his dad, his bodyguard doesn't exist, he isn't popular but is instead a loner, no one ever mentions chloe being his only friend as a kid, he doesn't fence or do piano, there is no kagami or lila, we barely see any of his friendship with marinette(or anyone else besides maybe ladybug), he never talks to natalie, the whole entire first day of school thing was never even implied, we don't see why plagg chose him or how he reacted, he's never particularly nice, he's never a chad in distress, he barely ever talks to plagg and isn't really friends with him, we never see any real reasons for him to fall for ladybug like in the show, he never had years of getting over his mom's passing like in the show because apparently to him it happened yesterday even though it didn't, we never see his two different sides really like in the show, where he has to be all serious and shit in front of his father but he's different around his friends. There are about one million billion things.

They fixed the annoying back and forth of Marinette and Adriens relationship which was the most annoying fricking thing in the world. None of that "They cant be together or else the world die" crap leading into 5 seasons worth of "Will they/Wont they" shit. Even its predecessors like Sailor Moon knew to wrap that shit up faster. My little sister grew up with this show and her seeing this shit get wrapped up in one movie was surreal cause she saw a universe where a director actually gave her what she wanted and she fricking cried. It fricking baffles my mind how directors/showrunners think prolonging the resolution past its due date is good storytelling and not just irritating to an audience. I'll give this movie props forever for correcting this dumb as shows take on the relationship.

How can you consider this a fix? We don't see what this does? The movie ends right there. You don't know if it's going to be better and really, it won't. You just made up the sequel in your head already. That's not a credit to the movie. The movie never did any of the "better things" that you're thinking must happen. And it won't.

It triggers Astruc shills because its good and they know it, its qualities far superior than any mistakes and completely mogging the show and pointing out its flaws like a sore thumb. As so it takes them out of immersion and they have trouble coping with the gaslighted illusion they themselves created to deal with the stupidity of the show.
You can just tell thats the case from how they go berserk and they start making comparisions with the over-saturated plot of the show and doing mental gymnastycs to justify why Astruc's shitshow is better.
