The show constantly flip flops between these very well made cinematic serious scenes with some of the best music in media, and then it immediately switches to a catgirl pissing her pants while a guy shoots blood from his nose going ''HAYAAAAAA OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO'' while his head grows 10 times in size.
This is one of the worst anime's i have ever seen. Its soo over the top edgy and just cringe for no reason. Like when the military dude just beats the shit out of a nice woman just because she got close to him. Thank god it flopped.

Well, look, she is actually a really deep character that further hammers in the overarching themes. The whole series is about the relationships between fathers and daughters. Kurama and Mariko/Nana, Mayu and her step-father, Kouta and his daughter in the epilogue, Kaede and her absent father, the girl Lucy met before she was captured. Nozomi is a retread of the story of the girl who died when Lucy was captured, it's the same "father forbidding creativity because it was her mother's passion that ruined her".
