It was to make people think the authorities were in charge nothing more. A completely pointless demonstration of control to obfuscate how powerless the government actually was.
i dont get it mr monk, you spent your whole life wearing masks, now your telling me its a big conspiracy? now come on were going out to get our boosters. myocrwhat? your making that up mr monk get out here!
It's cute and was satisfactory to me as a fan of the original show, much like the Psych movies. Washed the bad taste of the Frasier reboot out of my mouth.
I wish that Randy's theory was what really happened. The so-called "twist" was too heavily implied with the emphasis on the line "measure twice, cut once"
I didn't know anything about the movie going in. As soon as they mentioned his stepdaughter getting married, I predicted her fiancee would be a black guy. A few minutes pass, and I find out I'm right.
When people get older and the people they used to care about drift away, things can get harder on them. I thought it was a perfectly logical progression of Monk's character, especially since Trudy's daughter was doing so well without him. And anyway, by the end, the implication is that she's at least part of the reason for him choosing not to commit suicide, which is why she comes to pick him up at the park. The suicide angle was probably the most interesting thing about the film and jives well with his character.
I forgot that Monk existed at all
Apparently there are several Monk movies.
>fake corona masks
why were we forced to wear them again? they literally did NOTHING other than being annoying.

Because the TV told me to.
Because Trump appointed Fauci who said you gotta do it
fauci appointed himself.
You're talking about the guy who invented AIDS, you think he listens to the incumbent president?
I wore them because I like hiding my face in public. (I am autistic).
Oh HELL no
Is it any good? I only heard about it because of people mocking the title on Cinemaphile a few months ago.
its boring as frick and the acting is horrendous
not really. it was very mediocre tv movie
East-to-solve mystery: the "how", "why" and "who" questions for the murder are revealed or obvious almost immediately
However, the murder is sidelined by Monk's plan to commit suicide. That portion of the film is much more interesting.
>the murder is sidelined by Monk's plan to commit suicide
Fricking what!?

my main man shaloob yousonuvabitch
I didn't even know this existed. What's its quality using the Psych movies as a benchmark?
ugh dude dont remind me of that shit
what an utter betrayal of the show it was
About the same level as the second Psych film: same sentimental tone
i love monk, the movie is mid, the show is still s tier
can monk do this
It is just like making Natalie Teeger's baby bump disappear.
i'm a monk i'm a monk
finding clues and shit
like blues clues but there aint no frickin dog
dled it the night it was shilled/released
literal tv movie tier that is worse than some of its episodes
it was like a x files movie
I'm not talking about it because I'm embarrassed that my first guess turned out to be Randy's theory.

moreover, no Julie.
>that scene where Monk shakes a black guy's hand and immediately asks for a wipe
Thanks, now I don't have to watch it
Choose:
Sharona or Natalie
Benjy or Julie
Sharona, if she wasnt a single mother ex stripper
Natalie, Julie
Both grew to be nicer to Monk
Friends in the end
Julie even babysat monk.
I played it out of curiosity and kept watching for Marc Antony
Was he always suicidal?
no and it's stupid
there is no way he would commit suicide when Trudy's daughter is alive and well
>there is no way he would commit suicide when Trudy's daughter is alive and well
Sure he could.
>could
I said would. And he wouldn't.

I enjoyed it.
