It was genuinely good. I enjoyed it more than Kevin Smith cartoon version

    It's hard to say
On one hand the show got overshadowed by controversy and had no unique name to distinguish itself from the other
On the other hand many people gave it a chance mainly to see if it was as bad as Kevin's shitshow and otherwise would've skipped it for being too "different" and 3D

You can say that about a lot of streaming shows. That's the big advantage Disney+ has.

I feel like it would have been more successful indeed.

    >doesn't have kevin smith's name attached
    >aimed at kids and not older audiences
    >3d kiddy design and not mature "anime" look
    >not the center of controversy to give it free publicity
It's doomed to be one of those shows that will steadily gain a cult following over the years.

The changes to the heroes would have been a hurdle, but I think Skeletor would have won people over.

I think Netflix was the wrong platform for this show since most of their content are for younger teens that like anime and the few kids show they have are of poor quality.

This would've been big pre- to very early 2010s. But the Kevin Smith show really damaged the image of the brand. Also what this anon said

    It was actually good.

I mean, I didn't like how the plot with Krass was solved, but, it was a good show in general. Adam was genuinely a good character and hammy/evil Skeletor was the best.

No. Strong start, albeit kiddy. But the quality didn't stay very strong for the rest of season 1, and it nosedived in the final eps.

    It was good
Maybe not amazing, but still enjoyable. I really liked how 'cosmos' aesthetic was incorporated into the show, like when He-Man's and Skeletor's punch meet it creates a globe of cosmos around, or how Teela's wing are just cosmic space

It's funny how a show directed at younger audiences had women with more feminine shapes than a show directed for adults

I simple dont like the fortnite visual.
The show is also way too tech, i miss the barbarian bronze age with lasers from the old versions.
Also i dont like how everyone now transform, it was suppose to be ADAM THING.

From what I remember, the barbarian elements tested poorly with gen alpha kids, calling the old Frazetta esque stuff disgusting because "why doesn't he wear a shirt? Thats gross".

Because of this, you have odd dialogue like the Eternian royal knights calling He-Man "the savage" despite not being barbarian-like anymore, because it was reflecting an older phase of production and thay snuck in.

Possibly. Though what really hurt was it coming out on the same damn month without any advertising and without a unique title to differitiatie it from other He-Man shows. You can't even look up Netflix He-Man to find it because they didn't give it a unique title. It's whole release was a stupid mess. Which is a shame because the show was pretty good.

    >tfw Kevin Conroy died before we could get more Hordak
Funny how he ended up in this show while Mark Hamil was Skeletor in the other
