one day maybe I will
Jerry was late 30s there's still time
Always supriosing how old Jerry was when Seinfeld started
>cellphones exist
sorry bud.
you're never getting full one-on-one human interactions in person ever again.
for real
i try the chat over coffee thing with friends sometimes but cell phones always come out
why can nobody hold the same principle that I'd rather be uncomfortable and bored than go on my phone in public.. it makes me want to cry
cellphone and social media addiction. Basically has ruined the world.
Things will NEVER be like the 90s and the pre internet era ever again. There is no time. It's over.
If it was up to be i'd ban smart phones, everything would be back to normal within 6 months
hanging out with God's chosen people in a crowded restaurant? No thanks
I only came to this board for /ftl/
do you guys always post about seinfeld this frequently or is there something special going on?
There's a general talking about faster than light travel? Do you mean /trek/?
Only on occasions, it got bigger these last two months for some reason
test
In the show they are all in their 30s. I'm 29 so I'm supposed to be entering a phase of life like their's.
Except you'll be surrounded by brown people that want you dead, but yeah pretty similar bro!
Its time to live the Seinfeld life, just minus the friends
>ONE LARGE JUMBALAYA PLEASE
It always bothered me that jumbalaya was served at a soup place but it isn't a soup. Maybe that was the point.
NO SOUP FOR YOU
jumalaya soup is a thing. dont care if its real authentic blah blah I dont eat the shit but i know its exists
Everything is soup with water in it
JAMBALAYA IS NOT A SOUP
NO SOUP FOR YOU!
Anon you can still go to diners, they still look like that, and the people there look more or less the same.
>and the people there look more or less the same.
Aside from being black or Hispanic and obese
No, diners are almost exclusively comprised of caucasians, especially in NYC. Only mexicans in the place are usually cooking in the back. Leave /misc/ once in a whiel and you won't be so obsessed with minorities, you're worse than far left liberals with that shit.
>Just lies
touch grass
You should
Stop grooming kids
Why was the inside of the diner so blatantly differe t from what it was portrayed as on the outside?
I wish i had friends
90's were soulless. 80's are the life we missed out on. It was beautiful.
The 90s had soul but yeah, it was really the beginning of the end.
HIMYM bar sets looked comfier and more friendly sorry boomer
>Do you have a job?
>No.
>You got money?
>No.
>Do you have a woman?
>No.
>Do you have any prospects?
>No.
>You got anything on the horizon?
>Uh...no.
>Do you have any action at all?
>No.
>Do you have any conceivable reason for even getting up in the morning?
>I like to shitpost on tv!
I wouldn’t call Seinfeld “comfy” so much as “liminal”. The people all have a distinct lack of humanity for the sake of the humor. Especially the side and background characters. the cheap sitcom set design is really leaned into. It all has a very uncanny feel to it but that’s okay because it’s really funny. Like, I think that’s one reason the Seinfeld AI was so successful: on the real show, the four main characters feel like people that got dropped into a computer simulation. And everyone around them that acts ridiculous is an example of a glitch.
Im gonna go play some GTA now.
>everyone is in their early 40s
>no children
>no stable relationships
>dislike most of their friends
>never cook at home
>do nothing but complain about other people and things every day
Their lives were miserable that's the joke of the show
>everyone is in their early 40s
Literally the first thing you said is wrong
Why these shows made me think i'd hang out with my friends everyday of the week?
You're on Cinemaphile every day.
Nobody likes me here
