He was acting on blind faith. He was so convinced he was special without realizing that it was all curated by the MIB to create his own destiny. Free will my ass, locked got smoked. One of the most beautiful and cruel arc in tv history.
He walked so jack can run, was basically what they were going for. I agree I miss Locke and what they did to him is brutal, but the Jack we got in the last two seasons becomes really based because of it.
I've been rewatching a lot of LOST clips lately forgot how good this show was and I miss watching it weekly I loved all the speculation and moronic theories everyone came up with was amazingly good fun the produces used to take advantage of early social media as the internet was becoming more mainstream played right into their hands. It's also held up really well even if you know how everything ends or what the mysteries are the fact it's shot on location in a jungle in Hawaii has made it hold up looks wise incredibly aside from a few areas where the CGI looks really stupid like the sub in S5 looking like some N64 or PS2 game
It's double sad because she otherwise didn't age all that much it's all just the hair. She could be so hot with the long hair why are women so moronic?
I dropped this piece of shit show halfway into season 2. just like with twin peaks, you can tell when the writers have no goals or ambitions other than to be xd so random.
I loved the opening of S3. First it baits you into thinking that you are watching people in some suburbia then you see Ben Linus in the crowd then the plane crashed above them then you realize this is where Others live.
Even the shitty CGI couldn't ruin it for me.
i just rewatched the show for the 3rd time
i can understand the hate for season 6. there is quite a lot of annoying factors.
for example the introduction of the temple dwellers was mediocre at best, none of these characters were likeable, and some were outright annoying.
for example: dogen, the guy who just speaks japanese solely to sound cool. it's just so contrived. on rewatches this guy is no longer novel or mystical, he's just really cringe.
what they did to sayid in season 6 was also not great, he's just this zombie murderer and no longer a 3 dimensional character, they really butchered alot of his character.
jacob's chosen are also very unlikeable characters and completely without any personality or redeeming qualities. the fat guy I can't even remember his name, ilana is super annoying with her bad accent, the actress was really bad.
on the plus side some other characters did a great job. for example the man in black actor absolutely killed it and unfortunately doesn't get enough credit because of how good a job terry oquinn did at playing evil locke. matthew fox also did a great job in season 6 and his scenes are very good
My least favorite part of the temple saga is that they spent basically 5 seasons building Ben as a big bad leader of the others, and play into the fact that he never gets to speak to Jacob and that's why he ultimately kills him, then in season 6 they just introduce this random Asian dude that is clearly higher in the pecking order and knows all this lore about the healing pool, Smoke monster, has personally met Jacob, etc.
I'm guessing they wanted to show the temple in season 6 because it had been alluded to so many times seasons prior, but it should have been destroyed once they got their or something and that whole arch scrapped. If you need to save Sayid somehow, have Ben say something like "I remember they revived me in this pool" or something.
you have to be really low iq to outright dislike LOST
even people who just say it gets bad the last few seasons are just wrong. there's maybe a 20% drop in quality at most and the ending is great
>useless annoying b***h for 90% of season 1 >begins to develop into an actual good character near the end of the season >dies early in season 2
It's not fair Shannonbros
Haven't seen it since it originally ended, maybe it's time for a rewatch. I don't remember much other than "mysteries leading to more mysteries" and a "dude purgatory lmao" ending.
What the frick are you on, those are the best parts of a lot of episodes. Not to say they're all winners, because there are some absolute dud off-island stories for sure, but to skip every single one is to deprive yourself of kino.
I think season 5 is the worst season of Lost. After they spent all of s4 building up to how the Oceanic Six leave the island, only to really rush their return. Even s6 which everyone complains about is better overall to me than 5. Between the stupid way they get back to the island and the 70's time displacement stuff once they're all back there it almost feels like two seasons worth of ideas that they sort of crammed together into one and neither is able to really breathe. Absolute killer season finale though.
From season 1 was so promising to be a Lost successor. Acting and writing wasn't as good, but the plot was good. Season 2 fell off a cliff because they couldn't do the character stuff Lost did as good
>they couldn't do the character stuff Lost did as good
having good characters would be a start
imagine having "anyone can show up or die at anytime" as a major plot point and your show is still filled with unlikable characters
i love lost, and the lost threasd on AICN used to be brilliant every week. The internet back then was a hell of a lot more comfy. we'd all be tryign to figure out what was happened. So comfy.
I promised myself i'd rewatch this with a girlfriend, hopefully someone who hasn't seen it. bros its been 13 years. I still havent rewatched it.
WE HAVE TO GO BACK
Always loved that piece. Very beautiful.
You know what, I think I will rewatch it.
For me, personally, it's Booneral.
>I've done everything you wanted me to do, so why did you do this to me?!
Quite relatable line…
What streaming service is being shilled by pretending lost is remotely worth watching? Hmm, Amazon, Hulu… hmm.
Don't tell me what I can't rewatch
i dont watch racist shows
>"I looked into the eyes of this island...... and what I saw was....... beautiful"
>never elaborates
>kills himself
>the eyes of the island was actually the smoke monster who wants to kill them all
yeah, the writers had no idea what "smokey" was at that point
One of the best character, I hate how he was treated by the writers. That was such an inconsequential and underwhelming end they had for him.
yeah it's remarkably cruel way to end his character
He was acting on blind faith. He was so convinced he was special without realizing that it was all curated by the MIB to create his own destiny. Free will my ass, locked got smoked. One of the most beautiful and cruel arc in tv history.
He walked so jack can run, was basically what they were going for. I agree I miss Locke and what they did to him is brutal, but the Jack we got in the last two seasons becomes really based because of it.
Ben killed Locke he never came back to life
seasons 1-3 were pure unadulterated adventure kino
anything else with this vibe?
paying to suck wieners
I still remember when the first time I watched this. pure kino man
i still say this is one of the best season openings of any show
too long
Lost is the reason why I stopped watching TV altogether. It's really the show about nothing.
its about being human lil homie
I've been rewatching a lot of LOST clips lately forgot how good this show was and I miss watching it weekly I loved all the speculation and moronic theories everyone came up with was amazingly good fun the produces used to take advantage of early social media as the internet was becoming more mainstream played right into their hands. You might say I want to go back
love this show so much
it may not be the objective best and is flawed but i still love it
>you will now rewatch LOST
no
I'll never rewatch Lost
Kate! You have to go back
oh my god please no
wtf happened
this is actually so depressing she was so hot
still would without a moments hesitation
It's double sad because she otherwise didn't age all that much it's all just the hair. She could be so hot with the long hair why are women so moronic?
She probably married with kids or some shit. Long hair takes maintenance and people stop trying once they lock down a family.
worst haircut ever
I dropped this piece of shit show halfway into season 2. just like with twin peaks, you can tell when the writers have no goals or ambitions other than to be xd so random.
horrible.
I've never watched it
'memba when The Others went from creepy mysterious jungle ninjas to The Real Housewives of the Island?
I loved the opening of S3. First it baits you into thinking that you are watching people in some suburbia then you see Ben Linus in the crowd then the plane crashed above them then you realize this is where Others live.
Even the shitty CGI couldn't ruin it for me.
just finished marathoning the entire series last night
cried my eyes out at the finale unironically, dunno how i kept hearing normies say that the show ruined itself in the later seasons, loved the ending
i just rewatched the show for the 3rd time

Illana's sudden death was funny at least.

I rewatched Lost last summer for the first time since it aired. I WILL eventually rewatch it again, but it's gonna be some years before I do.
I never watched LOST
Should I?
Yes
best character theme
you have to be really low iq to outright dislike LOST
even people who just say it gets bad the last few seasons are just wrong. there's maybe a 20% drop in quality at most and the ending is great
the characters and the actors who play them are great
they carry the show even when the plot gets ridiculous
why was suns last name "paik" when we all know the real korean surname is "park"
>I was wrong.
legit the best moment of the show, honestly it should've ended there
Kinography
>useless annoying b***h for 90% of season 1
>begins to develop into an actual good character near the end of the season
>dies early in season 2
It's not fair Shannonbros
Really thought she was going to stick around and turn into a badass... such a waste of a character. Plus she had no chemistry with Sayid
I've watched LOST 8 times. Looking forward to round 9 when my son is older.
wholesome. was unironically thinking the same thing, cant wait to watch it with my future kids
I'll see you in another life, anon.
Haven't seen it since it originally ended, maybe it's time for a rewatch. I don't remember much other than "mysteries leading to more mysteries" and a "dude purgatory lmao" ending.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCKE
FRICK YOU
I just gave up on From, I sure as frick ain't watching
... I gotta go.
*skips past every single flashback, flashforward and flashtotheside*
there, it's a watchable show now
What the frick are you on, those are the best parts of a lot of episodes. Not to say they're all winners, because there are some absolute dud off-island stories for sure, but to skip every single one is to deprive yourself of kino.
I bet you liked the leftovers too huh? give me plot or frick off.
>it showed events that happened before the pilot episode therefore it isnt plot
how dumb are you
>Giacchino
>just kino
For me it's off island kate
MOMMY
Never finished in the first place
Stopped a few eps into season 5
>dude we le have to go back
no thanks

Yeah I liked when it was island survival and learning about the others
then it became a clusterfrick
From season 1 was so promising to be a Lost successor. Acting and writing wasn't as good, but the plot was good. Season 2 fell off a cliff because they couldn't do the character stuff Lost did as good
