I think Season 3 already has DVD/Blu ray version. Suprisingly Season 4 doesn't have that yet

2010 2011 isn’t really that old and hd quality was already standard a year before I think. Plus Cartoon Network made sure everything was good as it could be. It happened with multiple characters. For example, they had some licensing issues with Milestone characters later in the series because DC was renegotiating the contract with Milestone Comics and the writers weren't sure that they were going to get to use the characters in the future so their roles in the show were cut way back. The contract issue was resolved and they were able to write those characters back into the story later.

Kara was shown on Apokalips at the end of S4 but she hasn't made it to Earth yet. Apart from Darkseid and his minions and Klarion (who retrieved her from the Phantom Zone), no one else seems to know that she's alive.
Vandal Savage is basically the first metahuman. He's virtually immortal in that he doesn't age. But he's not immune to health problems. And does require organ transplants from time to time. So he keeps his family close as potential donors.
The Harpers are his descendants. Although I don't think anyone has a family tree. Evidently there are a LOT of red heads. Could be from Atlantis or the Amazons.
You never know what's the same or different between different continuities. At the very least Vandal is consistently an immortal.
Vandal made a pact with Klarion in YJ, that's Earth-16.
The Vandal we see in Demon Knights comics is part of Earth Prime. But we never see Klarion there, as I recall.
Although the pact between them wasn't revealed until the Phantoms arc. I don't believe it was planned when as far back as season 1, in Young Justice.
There were very likely other scenarios and directions the show could have gone.
In Season 1, Wonder woman related characters were off limits. Rewatching the show, I think WW was meant to be the "Den Mother", and they substituted her with Red Tornado. There was always the potential for WW to be compromised and replaced with her magical duplicate, Troia.
When the JL are looking at new members, they include Blue Devil.
Blue Devil and Troia tie in with "Neron". These early changes would have impacted the later stages of the story. But you'd be surprised how many analogs there are. Blue Devil's sidekick is Red Devil/Kid Devil, who's a film stage hand. So he's got connections with Zatara, and hollywood. They could have left Beastboy out of YJ all together.
In Teen Titans comics, Kid Devil and Miss. M encounter future "evil" versions of themselves. That was my favorite part.
Kid Devil made a pact with Neron for real super powers. All he did was activate the metagene he already had.
Kind of like what Klarion was doing in "Project Rutabaga".
That might be why Beastboy's story arc hit a wall. Because if it was Kid Devil who donated his heart to Perdita...Or maybe they were using GeoForce Brion as an analog...

Concerning his extra powers, sometimes he has "tactile telekinesis". And sometimes this is a kryptonian thing. but sometimes it's an earth metagene ability.
Lex Luthor's genius is sometimes attributed to the metagene as well. Solving for equations. Including the Anti-life Equation which he actually gets in the Finale of JL Unlimited.

Why is Suberboy called a clone? This method of creation makes him literally the biological son of Clark and Lex. A clone by definition is made from a single organism.
Kryptonian DNA is apparently really difficult to work with so they took what they could of Superman's DNA and filled in any gaps with Luthor's DNA resulting in a human/Kryptonian hybrid who doesn't have the strength or all of the powers of a full-blooded Kryptonian.

I think the timeskip did hurt it though cause they could’ve done at least 2 seasons in that time. It does kind of bother me with the characters getting older too. But I saw someone on here say Cheshires flashing shot here is the only thing everyone liked either about season 1 or the whole show. It’s probably the best in animation too and only a few negative comments about it Also wow hasn’t been posted yet
I almost feel like the latter seasons ruin the first season for me.
Part of what made the first season so intriguing initially was seeing where everything was going and what it would build up to - some of it gets a decent resolution but a lot of it feels like it goes nowhere or gets resolved off screen. An exaggeration perhaps and there's still a lot of good in season 1 but it just didn't hold up as well as I had hoped it would.

One thing I wondered is does the animation still hold up now or has it been redone in hd. The new animation does look slightly different and almost like it pauses each second. Max is the only place I’ve been able to find the best quality of 1 and 2 there. I wondered how good it looked ov tv then.

2010 2011 isn’t really that old and hd quality was already standard a year before I think. Plus Cartoon Network made sure everything was good as it could be. I thought it’d be better with more freedom on streaming and being mature. Hopefully a release with special features comes. Is there any goood behind the scenes stuff?
Kind of telling that Harley Quinn S3 got a release first even though it aired after YJ S4.
It's not that he didn't believe in it, but he kept rationalizing it as tech or some other explanation. His flaw in that episode is that he put aside his belief to get on good terms with Ms. Martian, not him not believing in magic.

It wasn't her. It was specifically Wonder Girl, Troia, Blue Beetle (Ted), and Darkseid.
It happened with multiple characters. For example, they had some licensing issues with Milestone characters later in the series because DC was renegotiating the contract with Milestone Comics and the writers weren't sure that they were going to get to use the characters in the future so their roles in the show were cut way back. The contract issue was resolved and they were able to write those characters back into the story later.

Artemis wears no pants or underwear in her first appearance in season 2 I think. Another thing she didn’t appear until 6 episodes in 1 and they put important stuff in tie in comics while it would be cool to see in show

The VA was Bruce Greenwood. He's done Batman's voice in a couple of the animated movies as well. He was also Roderick Usher in the Fall of the House of Usher on Netflix.

I've not watched Death in the Family and all I've seen of Gotham by Gaslight is Batman vs Jack the Ripper. Neat. Maybe its just that scene giving me false memories or I really didn't like ti at the time for some reason. If I had to guess, probably cause I was used to Costner, Bader, and Rino Romano
If you get used to hearing a specific voice for a specific character, it can be jarring to hear someone else doing their voice even if the VA is doing a competent job.

Vandal Savage is basically the first metahuman. He's virtually immortal in that he doesn't age. But he's not immune to health problems. And does require organ transplants from time to time. So he keeps his family close as potential donors.
The Harpers are his descendants. Although I don't think anyone has a family tree. Evidently there are a LOT of red heads. Could be from Atlantis or the Amazons.

You never know what's the same or different between different continuities. At the very least Vandal is consistently an immortal.
Vandal made a pact with Klarion in YJ, that's Earth-16.
The Vandal we see in Demon Knights comics is part of Earth Prime. But we never see Klarion there, as I recall.
Although the pact between them wasn't revealed until the Phantoms arc. I don't believe it was planned when as far back as season 1, in Young Justice.
There were very likely other scenarios and directions the show could have gone.
In Season 1, Wonder woman related characters were off limits. Rewatching the show, I think WW was meant to be the "Den Mother", and they substituted her with Red Tornado. There was always the potential for WW to be compromised and replaced with her magical duplicate, Troia.
When the JL are looking at new members, they include Blue Devil.
Blue Devil and Troia tie in with "Neron". These early changes would have impacted the later stages of the story. But you'd be surprised how many analogs there are. Blue Devil's sidekick is Red Devil/Kid Devil, who's a film stage hand. So he's got connections with Zatara, and hollywood. They could have left Beastboy out of YJ all together.

In Teen Titans comics, Kid Devil and Miss. M encounter future "evil" versions of themselves. That was my favorite part.

Red Arrow was "cloned" from Speedy's Arm. Which I think sounds more like he grew out of it. Like a starfish.
Superboy was made by using Superman's DNA and Lex Luthor's DNA. If Luthor is a descendant of Savage, that metagene may have ended up in there whether it was intentional or not. A bunch of characters in this universe are apparently descents of Savage and not all of them are aware of that fact.
In most continuities Superboy is part Lex Luthor.
Concerning his extra powers, sometimes he has "tactile telekinesis". And sometimes this is a kryptonian thing. but sometimes it's an earth metagene ability.
Lex Luthor's genius is sometimes attributed to the metagene as well. Solving for equations. Including the Anti-life Equation which he actually gets in the Finale of JL Unlimited.

Why is Suberboy called a clone? This method of creation makes him literally the biological son of Clark and Lex. A clone by definition is made from a single organism.

Kryptonian DNA is apparently really difficult to work with so they took what they could of Superman's DNA and filled in any gaps with Luthor's DNA resulting in a human/Kryptonian hybrid who doesn't have the strength or all of the powers of a full-blooded Kryptonian.
